  • This paper describes the highly sensitive Si Hall magnetic sensing system which can measure the earth magnetic field. Generally, the important parameters in Hall device which degrade the ability of magnetic detection are offset voltage and 1/f noise. The offset voltage and 1/f noise in Hall plates can be reduced by spinning current method. In this paper, we implement the highly sensitive Si Hall magnetic sensing system using spinning current method. As a result, the minimum detectable magnetic field is 0.1G.

  • We aimed at determining bioavailability of chlorphenesin carbamate, a muscle relaxant, and developing a simple analysis in human blood using HPLC. A rapid and sensitive HPLC method was developed and validated using reverse-phase C 18 column with retention time and limit of quantification of toferisone being 8.6 min and 0.5 ng/$m\ell$, respectively. Quantification was performed at 260 nm with tolferison as internal standard. (omitted)

Wideband Hybrid Fiber Amplifier Using Er-Doped Fiber and Raman Medium

  • In this paper, we report the experimental results of a hybrid wideband fiber amplifier. The amplifying medium is a concatenated hybrid fiber consisting of Er-doped fiber (EDF) and dispersion compensating fiber (DCF). The gain mechanisms are based on stimulated emission in the EDF and stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in the DCF. Since we simultaneously use optical amplification by the two processes, the gain bandwidth is easily expanded over 105 nm by a two-tone pumping scheme. Using an experimental setup constructed with a hybrid structure of EDF-DCF-EDF, we analyzed the spectral behavior of amplified spontaneous emission for pumping powers. We achieved an optical gain of over 20 dB in the wavelength range from 1,500 to 1,600 nm under optimized pumping conditions to make the spectral gain shape flat.

  • Robot is composed of various devices but, those are incompatible with each other and hardly developing reusable control software. This study suggests standard abstract interface for robot software component to make portable device and reusable control software of robot, based on familiar techniques to abstract device in operating systems. This assures uniform abstracted interface to the device driver software like sensor and actuator and, control program can be transparent operation over device. This study can separately and independently develop devices and control software with this idea. This makes it possible to replace existing devices with new devices which have an improved performance.

  • 최근 OS와 개발 정보에 대한 일반 사용자들의 접근성이 좋아지면서 오픈소스(Open Source)와 관련 툴들이 각광 받고 있다. 이러한 툴 중 많은 사람들이 사용하고 있는 블로그 개발 툴의 하나인 워드프레스(WordPress)는 다양한 프로그래밍 언어와 플랫폼(platform), 브라우저(browser)에 구애 받지 않고 강력한 기능을 제공함으로써 web과 관련하여 이용 빈도가 늘어나고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 오픈 소스 툴 중 하나인 워드프레스의 기능성을 중점적으로 서술하고 일반 사용자가 워드프레스를 사용할 때 가장 큰 어려움이 무엇인지 짚어보고 문제에 대한 해결책을 제시한다.

  • Novel X-shaped molecules containing perfluoroalkyl alkanes as a side chain have been synthesized and characterized. The properties of mesophases were investigated by a combination of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), polarizing optical microscopy (POM), X-ray diffractometry (XRD) and electro-optical measurements.

  • This paper describes a control technique of coupled tank level using Evolutionary Neural Network. In general, the control of tank level without a dangerous overflow and with a high accuracy is difficult because of higher order time delay and nonlinearity. Nonetheless, proposed Evolution Neural Network controller in this paper was successfully implemented and simulation results of the superiority over a conventional PID one was investigated.

  • In electric railways, high speed trains are normally supplied by AC 25kV power by contact between a pantograph contact strip and a contact wire. Advanced railway operating countries are actively researching various areas for the development of contact strips due to the reason that the properties of contact strips are one of the key factors of electric railways. This paper applied nano technology which is rapidly growing in many areas to the contact strip of a pantograph for current collection performance improvement considering speed up of electric railways. In detail, this paper proposes a method to dope nano particles of metal to a Korea Train eXpress(KTX) carbon pantograph and its measurement results. It is expected that the contents of this paper be used for preliminary study of high-speed railway current collection technologies.

실시간 영상 생성을 위한 광학 흐름 요소 렌더링 (Real-Time Optical Flow Rendering)

  • 최근 영상 기반 렌더링(image-based rendering)을 위한 새로운 접근방법으로서 광학 흐름 요소 렌더링(optical flow rendering)이 제안되었다. 이 방법은 좌우 영상 대응(stereo matching)에서 발생하는 오류와 무관하게 고품질의 영상을 생성할 수 있고 깊이 정보 비교를 통해 기존의 렌더링 방법으로 생성한 영상과 광학 흐름 요소로부터 생성한 영상을 합성할 수 있는 반면에, 한 화소 당 하나 이상의 광학 흐름 요소를 필요로하기 때문에 연산량이 많아져 영상 생성이 느려지는 단점이 있었다. 본 논문에서는 실시간 영상 생성을 위한 광학 흐름 요소 구성법과 영상 생성법을 제안한다. 각각의 광학 흐름 요소가 영상 내에서 화소들의 구간에 대응되도록 개선하여 전체 광학 흐름 요소의 수를 줄였으며, 필터링 탐색법 (filtering search)을 적용하여 전체 광학 흐름 요소를 모두 탐색하는 대신 실제로 영상 생성에 사용되는 광학 흐름 요소만을 탐색함으로써 전체 연산량을 크게 줄였다. 제안된 방법을 SGI Indigo2 Impact 워크스테이션(R10000 CPU; 128 Mbytes)상에서 구현한 결과, 초당 10장 이상의 고속 영상 생성이 가능했다.
