This study was conducted to clarify the differences in egg-laying characters of Varied tit (Parus varius) as elevation in the Mt. Jirisan. We set up 144 artificial nest-boxes at three sites located in 300, 900, 1400m in elevation and checked egg size, clutch size and first date of egg-laying. At a result, There was no difference in egg size as elevation. But clutch size at high elevation was lower than at low elevation. Also, first date of egg-laying at high elevation was later than at other sites. In this research, we think that difference of clutch size at three sites result from 'individual adjustment hypothesis' and difference of first date of egg-laying have relation to sprouting date of leaves and distribution of insects.

Objective: The objective of this study was to examine frame ratio of text information and font size in the circle smartwatch. Background: Recently, electronic manufacturers try to develop the original metaphor of traditional wrist watch (circle) in terms of smartwatch. They endeavor to break the square display in order to improve emotional customer satisfaction. Method: The experiments examined twenty level of text information design, combinations of four frame ratios (1:1, 4:3, 16:9, 21:9) and five font sizes (6pt, 7pt, 8pt, 9pt, 10pt). Nineteen participants volunteered for the experiment. Dependent variables were WPM (Words per Minute), reading preference, design preference and total preference. Furthermore, small circle display was made by using circle display data (1.3inch), which was exhibited in IFA (International Funkausstellung) 2014. Results: As a result, ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) revealed that WPM, and task time preference affect the specific frame ratio and font size. Results of ANOVA for reading preference, design preference, total preference were grouped by post-analysis LSD (Least Significant Difference). Among users, display ratio (16:9, 21:9), and font size (9pt) were preferred. In conclusion, 16:9 display ratio and 9pt are adaptable for text information in 1.3inch circle display. Conclusion: From the study, it is shown that 16:9 display ratio and 9pt size are more adaptable for text information in 1.3inch circle display than others. It is mainly due to the fact that the order of frame ratio and font size may affect the usability of reading long text information in a small circle display. Therefore, when developers design a circle display, the square frame ratio and font size are required to be considered according to circle size. Application: The 16:9 display ratio and 9pt font size may be utilized as a text information frame in the circle display design guideline for smartwatch.

Objectives: We report two cases that have an effective result with Korean traditional medical treatment to two patients who have uterine fibroids, using transabdominal ultrasonography for checking the size of uterine fibroids. Methods: A 44-year-old patient and a 43-year-old patient were treated with an herbal medicine, acupuncture and cupping therapy. We followed up the symptoms and the size of uterine fibroids. Results: The 44-year-old patient was asymptomatic, her size of the uterine fibroid was reduced for 6 months. Also, the 43-year-old patient experienced that the symptoms such as urinary frequency, ovulation pain, heavy bleeding were improved and the size of the uterine fibroid was reduced. Conclusions: This results suggest that Korean traditional medical treatment if effective for both asymptomatic and symptomatic uterine fibroids and ultrasonography is useful for checking the effect of Korean traditional medical treatment. Further case series and studies are warranted.

We compared between prosthetic aortic valve size and aortic annulus size in supravalvular aortic cineangiogram in 30` RAO view postoperatively. Retrospectively, supraaortic cineangiogram of 27 patients among the patients underwent aortic valve replacement only or double valve replacement from April, 1986 to January, 1987 was examined and measured the aortic annulus size. In comparing the two values, the cases within 1mm is 22, and the cases within 2mm is 25, correlation coefficient yield r = 0.92. In two cases, the difference between two values is within 3mm We concluded that to prevent the complication from mismatching the prosthetic aortic valve size to patient`s annulus size [e.g. left ventricular failure, hemolysis, limited exercise tolerance], prediction of the prosthetic valve size preoperatively by use of cineangiogram is useful.

Under the WTO system, the farm size expansion or the existing korean agricultural structure should be improved to cope with farm income decrease and to continue rice cultivation for food security in the future. This study is aimed at identifying optimum farm size under trade liberalization and import and export parity price system of inputs and outputs. The optimum farm size expressed the minimum point of long run average cost is determined as 15.1ha. The farm size to be equalized as urban laborer's income of 37,361 thousand won per year was revealed 30ha. Therefore the G't recommended farm size of 6ha should be changed to 30ha and the concerned policies for agricultural structure improvement also should be changed to more flexibilitiy.

The effect of the initial BSCCO 2212 grain size on the final gain size and the formation of the BSCCO 2223 was studied using a powder precursor synthesized by two-powder method. 2212 and CaCuO$_2$ tapes were prepared by dip coating and joined by pressing and then followed by the repeated thermo mechanical treatment. The samples were characterized by XRD and SEM analysis. The formation and grain size of the BSCCO 2223 depended on the initial BSCCO 2212 grain size.

This paper presents the mesh selectivity of a net pot for common octopus Octopus minor for the sustainable resources management of common octopus. The filed experiments were carried out the total 10 times in the southern part of coastal sea in Korea from March to May in 2010 using net pots of five different mesh sizes (16, 18, 20, 22 and 26mm). The test of size selectivity, indicated a 50% selection value on the logistic master curve of 3.195, whereby 50% of individuals with a mantle size of approximately 70.3mm selected a mesh size of 22mm. Considering that 50% of common octopus entering sexual maturity have a mantle size of 70.6mm, the optimum mesh size should be equal to, or larger than 22mm.

The purpose of this study is to analyze space size in the apartment unit plan towards optimal space configuration in order to offer the helpful information to housing designers. For this, we analyzed 432 samples using the Excel 2003 program. The major results of this study are as follows. 1) as the unit size gets bigger, the proportion of the usable area is increased. 2) as the unit size gets bigger, the number of spaces is increased and spaces are divided although they have the same function. 3) living room has the highest proportion in each unit, master room and kitchen are followed. 4) the proportion of living room, kitchen and entrance hall is not fluctuated while that of bedroom and bathroom is decreased. 5) there is a big gap between maximum size and minimum size of kitchen, entrance hall, bathroom and dressing room.

A brassier supports and protects breasts and makes a better shape of the upper half of the body through shaping breasts. A brassier, therefore, is recognized as the key underwear for female. Recently, the distribution structure and channels of the brassiere industry is diversified from conventional type of markets to department stores, convenience stores, and internet shopping mall. Studies on the sales of brassieres via internet, however, is not sufficient even though the market size has been dramatically increased thursdays. The study on the size structure (including the size and the materials fabric of brassieres circulating via internet) is especially rare. Therefore, this study tries to comply with increasing requests of consumers through comparing brassier brands on internet. In depth, this study compares cases of Korea and Japan in terms of availability of website on sales, quality indication like materials and functions, and size. The results indicated that there were three companies in Korea which run a website and make a sale through a website. All three Japanese companies operate a website and make sales on a website as well. In terms of size, Korean companies diversify their size of products in two ways. It varies from A cup to D cup based on cup size, and 65 to 100 according to its entire size. On the other hand, Japanese companies use AA, A to I to measure cup size, and 65 to 100 for entire size.

In order to successfully implement hot die forging process for the large-size titanium alloy products, it is necessary to devise a customized heating method for the billets and the die tools, as well as the die tool design. This study aims at establishing a hot die forging process of the large-size titanium alloy container products by applying the warm die, semi-hot die and hot die forging process step-wise. To accomplish this purpose, forging mechanism and the die tools were designed considering the strength of die materials at the given die heating temperature. The movable heating devices for the billet and the die tools were also introduced to prevent overcooling of billet and die tools. To verify the applicability of the designed forging process, real-size forging tests were carried out and the quality of forged products, including dimension, surface condition, microstructure and the mechanical properties was evaluated.
