State-Space Model Based On-Line Parameter Estimation for Time-Delay Systems

  • This paper considers the parameter estimation for the state-space model based time-delay systems in the case that the Lyapunov stability of the system is guaranteed. In order to estimate the parameters, two estimation methods can be proposed which are known as the parallel model and the series parallel model. It is shown that the parameters can be estimated using each method, and also certied that the results are correct by simulations.

  • In many cases of robust stability problems, the characteristic polynomial has real coefficients which or nonlinear functions of uncertain parameters. For this set of polynomials, a new stability easily checking algorithm for reducing the conservatism of the stability bound are given. It is the new stability theorem to determine the stability region just in parameter space. Illustrative example show that the presented method has larger stability bound in uncertain parameter space than others.

On Bahadur Efficiency and Bartlett Adjustability of Quasi-LRT Statistics

  • When the LRT is not feasible, we define quasi-LRT(QLRT) as a modification of the LRT Under some appropriate conditions the QLRT shares Bahadur optimality and Bartlett Adjustability with the LRT. When we can find maximum likelihood estimator under the null parameter space but not under the unrestricted parameter space, our QLRT is Bahadur optimal as is the LRT We suggest the stopping rule of the Newton-Raphson iterations for constructing the QLRT statistics which are Bartlett adjustable.

  • The Fisher information matrix plays a significant role in statistical inference in connection with estimation and properties of variance of estimators. In this paper, the parameter space of the t-distribution using its Fisher's matrix is defined. The Riemannian and scalar curvatures to parameter space are calculated.

  • In this paper, we present an approach to the structure identification based on the input space partition methods and to the parameter identification by hybrid learning method in neuro-fuzzy system. The structure identification can automatically estimate the number of membership function and fuzzy rule using grid partition, tree partition, scatter partition from numerical input-output data. And then the parameter identification is carried out by the hybrid learning scheme using back-propagation and least squares estimate. Finally, we sill show its usefulness for neuro-fuzzy modeling to truck backer-upper control.

  • 현재까지 국내의 홍수예측업무는 과거에 수집된 자료집단을 이용한 변수추정에 의하여 시행되고 있으나, 최근 여러 가지 순환추정 알고리즘을 적용한 홍수예측 또는 변수추정에 관한 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문은 실시간 홍수예측 및 변수추정에 관한 연구로서, 특히 강우-유출모형의 상태 및 매개변수의 동시추정에 관한 추계학적 현상을 고려하였다. 홍수예측에 관한 시스템은 $\phi$ 지수에 의한 유효강우의 산정과 지체효과를 고려한 n개의 비선형 저수지모형에 의한 홍수축적으로 구성하였다. 그리고 변수추정모형과 홍수추적 모형을 상호연계하여 변수를 포함하는 확대 상태-공간모형으로 상태 및 매개변수의 동시추정에 관한 시스템을 구성하였다. 상태-공간모형에 대한 상태 및 변수추정기법으로 GLS 추정과 MAP 추정에 대하여 비교 검토하였다. 모형의 식별을 위한 민감도 분석은 추정변수의 공분산 행렬을 사용하였다.

  • A new approach to design of a discrete-time robust $H_{\infty}$ filter in finite horizon case is proposed. It is shown that robust $H_{\infty}$ filtering problem can be cast into the minimization problem of an indefinite quadratic form, which can be solved by implementing the Kalman filter defined in Krein space. The proposed filter is readily derived by simply augmenting the state space model and has the robustness property against the parameter uncertainties of a given system.

Research on Robust Stability Analysis and Worst Case Identification Methods for Parameters Uncertain Missiles

  • For robust stability analysis of parameters uncertainty missiles, the traditional frequency domain method can only analyze each respective channel at several interval points within uncertain parameter space. Discontinuous calculation and couplings between channels will lead to inaccurate analysis results. A method based on the ${\nu}$-gap metric is proposed, which is able to comprehensively evaluate the robust stability of missiles with uncertain parameters; and then a genetic-simulated annealing hybrid optimization algorithm, which has global and local searching ability, is used to search for a parameters combination that leads to the worst stability within the space of uncertain parameters. Finally, the proposed method is used to analyze the robust stability of a re-entry missile with uncertain parameters; the results verify the feasibility and accuracy of the method.

  • 회전안정화 로켓 모터를 이용하는 우주 비행체의 자세 불안정 현상을 수치적 실험을 통하여 연구하였다. 이전 연구에서는 해석적 방법을 통하여 주어진 우주 비행체에 대한 정상해를 구하고 실제 발생했던 공진과 유사한 공진조건을 찾았으나 정상해 근방에서의 안정도 또는 파라미터 공간 전역에서의 안정도가 어떻게 변하는 지를 알 수가 없었다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 이전 연구결과를 기초로 하여 주어진 파라미터 공간 전역에서 수치적 실험을 통하여 유동체의 파라미터 값에 따라 위성체의 자세 안정도가 어떻게 변화하는지를 관찰하고, 시스템 설계에 필요한 파라미터들의 안정/불안정 영역을 결정하였다.

Dispersion of shear wave in a pre-stressed hetrogeneous orthotropic layer over a pre-stressed anisotropic porous half-space with self-weight

  • The purpose of this study is to illustrate the propagation of the shear waves (SH-waves) in a prestressed hetrogeneous orthotropic media overlying a pre-stressed anisotropic porous half-space with self weight. It is considered that the compressive initial stress, mass density and moduli of rigidity of the upper layer are space dependent. The proposed model is solved to obtain the different dispersion relations for the SH-wave in the elastic-porous medium of different properties. The effects of compressive and tensile stresses along with the heterogeneity, porosity, Biot's gravity parameter on the dispersion of SH-wave are shown numerically. The wave analysis further indicates that the technical parameters of upper and lower half-space affect the wave velocity significantly. The results may be useful to understand the nature of seismic wave propagation in geophysical applications and in the field of earthquake and material science engineering.
