  • This paper presents the result of an analysis on effects of phase compensation on power system stability in the PSS parameter tuning. Synchronizing and damping coefficients are induced from lineal model for generator with PSS. Synchronizing and damping coefficients corresponding to time constants of phase compensation control block are calculated on a single machine, infinite bus test system. The Parameter tuning concepts, basic function, structural elements and performance criteria of PSS are introduced.

  • In this paper, a robust discrete-time adaptive control with compensation is proposed for single-input single-output discrete-time plants which have unmodeled dynamics. The stability of the overall system is studied using the conic sector stability theorems when a normalized constant gain parameter adaptation algorithm and a properly chosen compensation are used. An illustrative exmple shows that this compensation can also increase the parameter adaptation speed. And a method of compensation using the adaptive observation is also discussed.

  • This paper presents external load disturbance compensation that used to deadbeat load torque observer and regulation of the compensation gain by parameter estimator As a result, the response of PMSM follows that of the nominal plant. The load torque compensation method is compose of a deadbeat observer To reduce of the noise effect, the post-filter, which is implemented by MA process, is adopted. The parameter compensator with RLSM(recursive least square method) parameter estimator is suggested to increase the performance of the load torque observer and main controller The proposed estimator is combined with a high performance load torque observer to resolve the problems. As a result, the proposed control system becomes a robust and precise system against the load torque and the parameter variation. A stability and usefulness, through the verified computer simulation, are shown in this paper.

  • This paper presents neural load disturbance observer that used to deadbeat load torque observer and regulation of the compensation gain by parameter estimator.   • This paper presents a robust current controller for a surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor(SPMSM) by using a PI observer. The decoupling PI(proportional-integral) controller combined with an additional feed-forward compensation has been used for the current controller. The classical feed-forward compensation using velocity information and system parameters is not expected to achieve a robust performance against parameter uncertainties. This paper has adopted a PI observer for the feed-forward compensation to cope with parameter uncertainties without using velocity information. A simple PI observer has been designed to compensate the disturbances that represent velocity coupled terms and parameter uncertainties. Experimental results as well as computer simulations with 630W SPMSM confirm that the proposed approach can deal with the effects of the disturbance and improve the control performance.

  • 본 논문은 데드비트 외란 관측기를 사용한 외부 부하 외란 보상과 파라미터 추정기에 의한 보상 이득의 조정을 나타내고 있다. 결론적으로 PMSM의 응답은 지표 시스템을 따른다. 부하 토크 보상 방법은 데드비트 관측기로 구성된다. 노이즈 영향을 감소시키기 위해 MA 처리에 의해 구현된 후단 필터를 적용하였고, RLSM 파라미터 추정기를 가진 파라미터 보상기가 주어진 실제 시스템의 이득 계산시 사용된 파라미터로 가상 동작하여 이득이 오차가 없는 것처럼 동작하게 한다. 제안된 추정기는 문제를 풀기 위해 고성능 외란 관측기와 조합하여 사용한다. 제안된 제어 시스템은 부하토크와 파라미터 변화에 대해 강인하고 정밀한 시스템이 된다. 이상의 제안된 시스템의 안정성과 유용함이 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 확인되었다.

  • This paper proposed a novel high performance sensorless control scheme for IPMSM based on an extended nonlinear state observer. The gain-matrix of the observer has been derived by using state linearization method. Steady state errors in estimated rotor position and speed due to parameter inaccuracy have been analyzed, and an equivalent flux error is defined to represent the overall effect of parameter errors contributing to the wrong convergence of the estimated rotor speed as well as rotor position. Then, an online compensation strategy was proposed to limit the estimation errors in rotor position and speed. The effectiveness of the extended nonlinear state observer is validated through simulation and experimental test.

Analysis and Design of DC-link Voltage Controller in Shunt Active Power Filter

  • This study investigates the inherent influence of a DC-link voltage controller on both DC-link voltage control and the compensation performance of a three-phase, four-wire shunt active power filter (APF). A nonlinear variable-parameter DC-link voltage controller is proposed to satisfy both the dynamic characteristic of DC-link voltage control and steady-state compensation performance. Unlike in the conventional fixed-parameter controller, the parameters in the proposed controller vary according to the difference between the actual and the reference DC-link voltages. The design procedures for the nonlinear voltage controller with variable parameters are determined and analyzed so that the proposed voltage controller can be designed accordingly. Representative simulation and experimental results for the three-phase, four-wire, center-spilt shunt APF verify the analysis findings, as well as the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed DC-link voltage controller.
