히트펌프 건조기용 PF 증발기의 능력과 제습량 실험 연구 (Experimental Study on the Heat Transfer Capacity and Dehumidification Performance of a Parallel Flow Evaporator for a Heat Pump Dryer)

  • In the present study, the performances of a fin-tube evaporator and three PF evaporators for a heat pump dryer were experimentally investigated. Among the tested evaporators, the PF3 type evaporator showed the highest values of heat transfer capacity and dehumidification performance, while the fin-tube evaporator had the lowest values. PF3 showed better performance compared to PF1 and PF2, due to the large pin pitch, which leads to more draining for dehumidified water. Also, the $45^{\circ}$ inclined PF evaporator presented better performance than that of the $90^{\circ}$ inclined PF evaporator, owing to its easier draining characteristics. The effect of air velocity was revealed to be quite large. When the air velocity increased by 20%, the heat transfer capacity and dehumidification performance increased 43%/11%, 48%/13% and 54%/23% for PF1, PF2 and PF3, respectively.

  • In this paper, anew parallel processing system based on a cluster architecture which provides scalability of a parallel processing system while maintains shared memory multiprocessor characteristics is proposed. In recent days low cost, high performnce microprocessors have led to construction of large scale parallel processing systems. Such parallel processing systems provides large scalability but are mainly used for scientific applications which have large data parallelism. A shared memory multiprocessor system like TICOM is currently used as aserver for the commercial application, however, the shared memory multiprocessor system is known to have very limited scalability. The proposed architecture can support scalability and performance of the parallel processing system while it provides adaptability for the commerical application, hence it can overcome the limitation of the shared memory multiprocessor. The architecture and characteristics of the proposed system shall be described. A proprietary hierarchical crsossbar network is designed for this system, of which the protocol, routing and switching technique and the signal transfer technique are optimized for the proposed architecture. The design trade-offs for the network are described in this paper and with simulation usihng the SES/workbench, it is explored that the network fits to the proposed architecture.

계통연계형 인버터 병렬운전 시 LCL 필터 상호간섭 특성 연구 (A Study for Mutual Interference of LCL Filter Under Parallel Operation of Grid-Connected Inverters)

  • This study analyzes the resonance characteristics caused by the mutual interference between LCL filters and the grid impedance under the parallel operation of the grid-connected inverter using the LCL filter. These characteristics are verified through simulation and experiment. Two inverters are used to connect to the grid in parallel, and the system parameters, including the LCL filter, are set to the same conditions. In the case of inverters running in parallel at the point of common coupling, the presence of grid impedance causes mutual interference between the LCL filters of each inverter, and the deviation of the filter resonance frequency is analyzed to understand the parallel inverter. The correlation between the number of devices and the size of grid impedance is simulated by PSIM and verified by MATLAB. By connecting the real-time digital simulator Typhoon HILS to the DSP 28377 control board, the mutual interference characteristics are tested under the condition of two inverters running in parallel. The experimental and analysis results are the same, indicating the validity of the analysis.

  • A full-scale simulation of steel mill reheating furnace was performed by using parallel computing technology. Turbulent flow as well as chemical reaction is considered and solved in a coupled manner while radiation is also calculated. The movement of slab is taken into account so that a more precise observation of its heating characteristics becomes possible through this numerical analysis.

  • 유한체적법(Finite Volume Method)을 이용하여 블럭이 부착된 수평 유로의 강제 대류 열전달 현상을 해석하였다. 블럭의 갯수, Reynolds 수 그리고 블럭 간의 간격을 변화시키면서 해석하였고 블럭이 부착된 수평판은 전도벽면 (conducting plate)으로 해석하였다. 블럭내에서는 1/2 체적과 전체적에서 열원이 있다고 가정하였으며, 유동은 2차원 정상상태 비압축성 유동이라고 하였다. 전체적에서 열원이 있는 경우보다 1/2 체적에서 열원이 있는 경우가 전체 온도값이 높게 나타났으며, Reynolds 수와 블럭 사이의 간격이 커질수록 온도값이 낮아진다. 수평판이 단열되어 있는 경우보다 전도벽면으로 해석한 경우가 온도값이 낮게 나타나며 수평판이 단옅되어 있다고 가정한 경우에는 최고온도 값의 위치가 단열면 근처이나 전도벽면의 경우에는 블럭내의 중심에서 우측으로 치우쳐 있다. 그리고, 블럭의 1/2 체적에서 열원이 있는 경우의 최고 온도 위치는 블럭의 전체적에서 열원이 있는 경우의 위치보다 더 상단에 치우침을 알 수 있다. Nusselt 수는 블럭 윗면의 좌측 부분에서 다른 부분보다 높은 수치를 나타내고 있으며 Reynolds 수가 커질수록 Nusselt 수의 값이 증가한다. 그리고, 블럭내의 최고 온도값은 이러한 무차원 변수들과의 상관 함수를 이용하여 예측하였다.

조건이 다른 수직 평형 평판에서 혼합대류 열전달 (Mixed Convection Heat Transfer from Two Vertical Parallel Plates with Different Conditions)

  • A mixed convection heat transfer from two vertical parallel plates has been studied numerically by the finite difference method. Effects of the Grashof number, the relative length, $L_2/L_1$. the dimensionless temperature ratio, ${\Phi}_2/{\Phi}_1$ and the dimensionless plate spacing, $b/L_1$ are examined for the heat transfer. Independent of the Grashof numbers and $L_2/L_1$, the dimensionless vertical velocity distributions skewed on the left plate as ${\Phi}_2/{\Phi}_1$ decreased. The dimensionless vertical velocity distribution for $Gr/Re^2=1$ and ${\Phi}_2/{\Phi}_1=1.0$ is skewed to the right plate $L_2/L_1=0.5$, symmetric at $L_2/L_1=1.0$ and skewed to the left plate at $L_2/L_1=1.5$. But for $Gr/Re_2=10.0$ and ${\Phi}_2/{\Phi}_1=1.0$ reversed velocity patterns are obtained. Regardless of the Grashof numbers and $L_2/L_1$, the mean Nusselt nembers on the inside surface of the left plate decreases and those of the right inside surface increases as ${\Phi}_2/{\Phi}_1$ increases. Temperature, velocity and mean Nusselt number distributions are apparently not affected by $L_2/L_1$.

채널 형상에 따른 마이크로채널 판형 열교환기 열전달 성능 향상에 관한 수치 연구 (Numerical Study of Heat Transfer Enhancement on Microchannel Plate Heat Exchanger with Channel Shape)

  • In this study, the microchannel plated heat exchanger were numerically studied for the enhancement of heat transfer in the channel configuration. Unit cold and hot fluid region with the microchannel were modeled and periodic boundary condition at the side wall was applied to continuously repeating geometry. The material of micro-structured plate is STS304 and working fluid is water. Triangular obstacles were placed in micro channel to enhance heat transfer. The performance of microchannel plated heat exchangers were numerically investigated with various obstacle configuration and Reynolds number under the parallel and counter flows. Heat transfer rate has increased about 18% compared with straight channel, but pressure drop also increased about 3.5 times. The main factor of increasing of pressure drop and heat transfer rate is considered that the momentum was lost to collide against obstacles, generation of secondary flow and boundary layer separation, wake and vortex forming phenomena.

PF열교환기의 습표면 성능시험 (Wet Surface Performance Test of PF Heat Exchanger)

  • In this study, the wet surface heat transfer coefficients and friction factors of PF heat exchangers are presented. Two sample with different fin pitch(1.25mm, 1.5mm) were tested. Tests were conducted in a open loop wind tunnel. The wet surface heat transfer coefficient was reduced following the procedure given in ARI 410-81. Results showed that the heat transfer coefficients of the heat exchanger with 1.5mm fin pitch were approximately the same as those with 1.25mm fin pitch, except at low reynolds number(Re<100), where the heat transfer coefficients of 1.5mm fin pitch were slighly higher than those with 1.25mm fin pitch. The friction factors of the 1.25mm fin pitch, however was 120 % to 160 % higher than those of the 1.5mm fin pitch. The wet surface heat transfer coefficients were lower than those of the dry surface. The wet surface friction factors, however, were higher than those of the dry surface.
