절곡된 타원형 도체평판 급전부를 갖는 포물선 반사판 안테나 설계 (Design of the Parabolic Reflector Antenna with Bended Elliptical Conductor Plate Feed)

  • 제안된 지향성 펜슬빔 안테나는 절곡된 타원 도체평판을 갖는 도파관 급전부와 포물형 곡면 반사판으로 구성되어 있다. 반사판 뒤에서 삽입된 급전 도파관의 종단 부근 광벽에 위치한 두 개의 사각형 개구는 반사판 초점에 위치하며, 절곡된 타원 평판으로 전자파 에너지를 방출시킨다. 이 평판은 전자파 에너지를 일차 반사시키며, 주 반사판을 향하도록 설계되어 있다. 도파관 종단에 위치한 두 사각형 개구는 안테나 시스템의 임피던스 정합을 위해서 안쪽으로 돌출된 탭을 가지는데, 탭의 형태는 잘려진 타원형이다. 제안된 포물형 반사판 안테나의 반사판의 직경은 400 mm, 촛점은 134.23 mm 이며, 사용 중심주파수 16.5 GHz에서 안테나이득은 33.68 dBi, 3 dB 빔폭은 $3.3^{\circ}$, 반사손실 -15 dB 사용대역폭은 1.0 GHz 이상이 되도록 설계하여, HFSS-IE를 사용하여 검증하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 반응기의 유입 확대부의 형상이 반응기 내의 유동 및 증착특성에 미치는 영향을 연구하기 위하여 수평형 MOCVD 반응기에서 TMGa와 $AsH_3$로부터의 GaAs 증착에 관한 수치적 연구를 수행하였다. 두 개의 기하학적인자(확대각, 확대부 형상)가 증착률, 증착률 균일도. 유속 균일도, 압력강하에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다 웨이퍼 위에서의 증착률 균일도, 평균증착률, 유속 균일도를 고려한 결과, 직선형 확대부의 최적 확대각은 $50^{\circ}$$55^{\circ}$이며 포물선형 확대부의경우, $40^{\circ}$$45^{\circ}$이다. 또한 확대부의 확대각의 변화는 평균증착률 보다 증착률의 균일도에 큰 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있으며 직선확대부보다 포물선형의 확대부에서 더 민감하게 나타남을 알 수 있었다.

  • This paper deals with free vibrations of the tapered beams with the constant surface area. The surface area of the objective beams are always held constant regardless shape functions of the cross-sectional depth. The shape functions are chosen as the linear and parabolic ones. Ordinary differential equations governing free vibrations of such beams are derived and solved numerically for determining the natural frequencies. In the numerical examples, hinged-hinged, hinged-clamped and clamped-clamped end constraints are considered. As the numerical results, the relationships between non-dimensional frequency parameters and various beam parameters such as section ratio, surface area ratio, end constraint and taper type are reported in tables and figures. Especially, section ratios of the strongest beam are calculated, under which the maximum frequencies are achieved.

  • This paper deals with free vibrations of the tapered circular arches with constant volume, whose cross sectional shape is the solid regular polygon. Volumes of the objective arches are always held constant regardless shape functions of the cross-sectional depth. The shape functions are chosen as the linear, parabolic and sinusoidal ones. Ordinary differential equations governing free vibrations of such arches are derived and solved numerically for determining the natural frequencies. In the numerical examples, hinged-hinged, hinged-clamped and clamped-clamped end constraints are considered. As the numerical results, the relationships between non-dimensional frequency parameters and various arch parameters such as rise ratio, section ratio, side number, volume ratio and taper type are reported in tables and figures.

  • The main purpose of this paper is to determine the dynamic optimal shapes of tapered column with constant volume. The linear, parabolic and sinusoidal tapers with the regular polygon cross-section are considered, whose material volume and span length are always held constant. The ordinary differential equation including the effect of axial load is applied to calculate the natural frequencies. The Runge-Kutta method and Regula-Falsi methods are used to integrate the differential equation and compute the frequencies, respectively. Then the dynamic optimal shape whose lowest natural frequency is highest is determined by reading the critical value of the frequency versus section ratio curve plotted by the frequency data. In the numerical examples, the tapered columns are analysed and the numerical result of this study are shown in table and figures.

주철의 가스질화침탄처리 (A Study on the Gaseous Nitrocarburising of Cast Irons)

  • We investigate the phase formation in the compound layer of cast irons during the gaseous nitrocarburising of four different cast irons, that contain different types of graphites in the shape and size. We examine the change in the surface roughness with the nitrocarburising time. The observation of cross-sectional microstructure and X-ray diffraction analysis indicate that the compound layer consists of single ${\varepsilon}-Fe_{2-3}(N,C)$ phase and that its thickness increases in a parabolic manner with the treatment time. The surface roughness parameters, Rz and Ra increase with increasing treatment time. In other words, the roughness parameters increase as the thickness of compound layer increases. The parameters also depend on the shape and size of graphite in the individual cast irons.

  • The Smoluchowski equations with a linear and a parabolic potentials in one-dimensional case are solved for the reflecting boundary condition. Analytic expressions for the long-time behaviors of the remaining probabilities are obtained. These results, together with the previous result for a step potential, show the dependence of the desorption process on the form of potential. The effect of the radiation boundary condition is also investigated for three types of potentials.

  • 일방향 섬유로 보강된 고성능 복합재료의 경우 모든 방향에서 곡률을 가지는 구조물의 제작에 용이하지 않다. 본 연구에서는 높은 비강성, 비강도를 가지는 일방향으로 보강된 AS4/PEEK 프리프레그 테이프를 이용한 축소 시제 복합재료 접시형 안테나 반사판의 개발 결과를 보여준다. 개발을 위해서 유한요소법을 통한 적층인자 연구를 통한 저열팽창/등방변형의 반사판 설계기법을 확립하였으며, Fiber Placement System을 통한 자동섬유적층법을 이용하여 접시형 안테나 반사판이 제작되었다. 제작된 반사판은 Full Bridge Circuit의 Strain Cage를 이용한 열변형 실험법으로 열팽창 거동에 대한 실험을 수행하였으며, 열변형 해석결과와의 비교를 통하여 제작된 구조물을 검증하였다.

Numerical and Experimental Investigation of the Heating Process of Glass Thermal Slumping

  • The glass thermal forming process provides a high volume, low cost approach to producing aspherical reflectors for x-ray optics. Thin glass sheets are shaped into mirror segments by replicating the mold shape at high temperature. Heating parameters in the glass thermal slumping process are crucial to improve surface quality of the formed glass. In this research, the heating process of a thermal slumping glass sheet on a concave parabolic mold was simulated with the finite-element method (FEM) to investigate the effects of heating rate and soaking temperature. Based on the optimized heating conditions, glass samples 0.5 mm thick were formed in a furnace with a steel concave parabolic mold. The figure errors of the formed glass were measured and discussed in detail. It was found that the formed glass was not fully slumped at the edges, and should be trimmed to achieve better surface deviation. The root-mean-square (RMS) deviation and peak-valley (PV) deviation between formed glass and mold along the axial direction were 2.3 μm and 4.7 μm respectively.

  • In this paper, the band structural design that is typically in a line was arranged in a ring shape, so as to configure the high power LED lighting in such a way as to form a concentrated light distribution angle of less than 15 degrees. The parabolic aluminized reflector PAR38 that facilitates design using area and the area of the optical system to the same extent, applied a multiple light-source condenser lens optical system for the control of integration. The LED used here implemented a single linear light source using ans LED module with ans LED, flip-chip chip-scale package. The optical system was designed based on the energy star standard.
