The method is introduced for estimating the noise source contribution on the noise of PDP TV in a multiple-input system where the input sources may be coherent with each other. By the coherence function method, it is found that the biggest part of the noise source in the PDP TV noise is generated by the PCB boards which consume high power and produce high heat. This analysis is modeled as three-input/single-output system because the noise is generated by three main boards, X-board, Y-board, SMPS that are located close to each other. The coherence function method is proved to be useful tool for identifying of noise source. In this study, Transfer Path Analysis using MDSA is implemented to determine the quantitative noise contribution of each board for PDP TV with the rear case closed and with the rear case open. And the possibility of noise reduction is confirmed through the experimental method that isolates the most contributing board by adding sound-absorbing materials to it.
This paper describes the acoustic analysis of mid duty truck. The focus of the analysis is on structure borne engine noise with major contributions of 2nd order. It has been previously recognized that the noise contribution of each transfer path of structure borne noise can be varied with the charateristics of each mounts and vibro acoustic sensitivity of car body. The structure of car body will be split up into three major sub components, which are modeled separately, the engine, the frame and the cab. The acoustic performance is evaluated on three levels: engine to frame transfer, frame to cab transfer, and panel contribution from cab to driver. In order to perform these analyses, analytical models are created for the engine, frame, cab and acoustic cavity. The models are linked through a coupled fluid structure calculation, and through FRF Based Substructuring for the structural couplings. Based on the structural coupling calculations, a transfer path analysis is performed to identify the most important transfer paths. These paths are then the focussing points for applying modifications to the structure or the mount system. Finally, a number of modification are proposed and their effect is quantified.

In this paper, we propose the efficient technique that reduces the number of spot-welds and increases the structural rigidity by using the topology optimization technique. Eigen value analysis is used to evaluate the rigidity of the optimized model. As a first step, the topology optimization is performed to find optimal spot-weld distributions. In this study, the design objective is to maximize the weighted frequencies. The volume fractions of the weld components are used as design constraints, and also the densities of each element in the individual design space are used as design variables. And then, to consider the possibility of spot-weld failure, the contribution rate analysis was performed by using the orthogonal array method of DOE. The spot-welds in the rear panel part are reinforced according to estimation results of the contribution rate analysis. Finally, we obtained optimized spot-weld layout model which has the reduced number of spot-welds and the improved dynamic stiffness.
Purpose - During a reform period lasting 30 years, the Blue Economic Zone (BEZ) in the Shandong Peninsula has made progress in attracting foreign investment, and has acquired the foreign direct investment (FDI) essential for economic growth. It is therefore important to conduct a proactive and systematic study of FDI in the BEZ. Research design, data, methodology - This dissertation discusses the contribution of FDI on economic growth, from both a theoretical and empirical perspective. Taking seven core cities for study, statistics and econometrics are used, and panel data are used to validate FDI contribution to import and export in the BEZ. Results- FDI was found to exert both positive and negative influences on the imports and exports of the BEZ. In other words, the research findings are consistent with Trade Generated and Inverse Trade Generated theories put forward by Kojima and Mundell, among other researchers mentioned earlier in this paper. Further, FDI has greatly increased imports and exports for the BEZ. Conclusions - According to the results of this empirical study on local investment environment optimization, FDI plays an important role in foreign trade. This dissertation puts forward recommendations on using FDI to better promote economic growth in the BEZ.

The present study focuses on the effect of extension-bending coupling on the elastic stability (buckling) of laminated composite plates. These plates will be loaded under uni-axial or bi-axial in-plane mechanical loads, especially in the orthotropic or anti-symmetric cross-angle cases. The main objective is to find a limit where we can approximate the elastic stability behavior of angularly crossed anti-symmetric plates by the simple behavior of specially orthotropic plates. The contribution of my present study is to predict the explicit effect of extension-flexion coupling on the elastic stability of this type of panel. Critically, a parametric study is carried out, involving the search for the critical buckling load as a function of deformation mode, aspect ratio, plate anisotropy ratio and finally the study of the effect of lamination angle and number of layers on the contribution of extension-flexure coupling in terms of plate buckling stability. We use first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) with a correction factor of 5/6. Simply supported conditions along the four boundaries are adopted where we can develop closed-form analytical solutions obtained by a Navier development.
In this study, "Hongro" apples for test samples were selected from a market for aroma analysis. Analysis was done after 1 hr, in a forming headspace while maintaining a temperature of $25^{\circ}C$. First, the complex aroma of the apples was assessed by a Direct Sensory Method. Secondly, the complex aroma was analyzed under individual aroma conditions separated by GC/FID/Olfactometry. Finally, aroma component analysis by GC/MS was performed. Degrees of contribution of aroma components were evaluated by an aroma value calculation considering aroma duration time, frequency, and intensity. The contribution rate (%) of the aroma induction component influencing apple aroma was determined by aroma component analysis and aroma contribution degree. As a result, it was found that the top four components were as follows, by contribution rate (%): acetic acid (23%), 1-hexanol (16%), butyl ethanoate (13%), 4-methoxy-2-methylbutane (9%). These four components constitute the complex aroma tested by the direct sensory method, and was largely recognized by the apple aroma test panel. Consequently, it was found that these components are the key factors in apple aroma. If the mechanism of formation of these components can be found, it could have a significant influence on consumers' acceptance of new varieties of apples.
This paper presents a study on the behaviour of the joints of segmental concrete bridges with external prestressing, focusing on the structural response of dry non-epoxied joints with shear keys. A Finite Element joint model to study such structures is validated modelling eight concrete panel tests. The most important feature of this model is that it has been validated with experimental tests on concrete panels which were specifically designed to fail in shear. Interface elements are used to reproduce the non linear behaviour of the joint and parameters deduced from the tests are used to define the constitutive law of these elements. This joint model is of great importance because it will permit the development of a structural model that faithfully reproduces the behaviour of these structures under combined flexure and shear and the study of its global behaviour after the opening of the joints. Interesting conclusions about the behaviour of the dry joints, about the contribution of the different mechanisms transferring shear (friction and cohesion) and about the shear stress distribution in the joint have been reached.
Purpose - This paper aims to study the competition that occurs in the Islamic Banking industry and to analyze the variables that affect the total revenue of Islamic Banking in Indonesia. Research Design, Data and Methodology - This study observed 10Islamic banks for the period 2010-2013. The annual data are taken from Direktori Perbankan Indonesia, published by Bank Indonesia, and annual report of the observed banks. In analyzing data, Panzar Rosse Approach was applied to analyze the type of Islamic Bank Market and Panel Regression Model for the estimated co-efficients has been used in the Panzar Rosse Approach. Results - Estimation model shows that all the banking cost elements such as the price of capital, unit price of labor, and unit prices of funds have significant positive correlation to Revenue as a dependent variable. The estimated value of H-statistic for the period 2010-2013 is 0.69. It can be interpreted that Islamic banking market in Indonesia shows monopolistic competition. Price of capital and funds has statistically significant effect on Bank's Revenue. Conclusions - The study revealed that the Islamic banking market competition in Indonesia is monopolistic and the major contribution to the H-statistic comes from mainly price of funds.
JK wall is a shear wall made of lightweight EPS mortar and reinforced with a 3-D galvanized steel mesh, called JK panel, and truss-like stiffeners, called JK stiffeners. Earlier studies have shown that low strength lightweight concrete has the potential to be used in structural elements. In this study, seismic contribution of the JK infill walls surrounded by steel frames is numerically investigated. Adopting a hybrid numerical model, behavior envelop of the wall is derived from the general purpose finite element software, Abaqus. Obtained backbone would be implemented in the professional analytical software, SAP2000, in which through calibrated hysteretic parameters, cyclic behavior of the JK infill can be simulated. Through comparison with earlier experimental results, it turned out that the proposed hybrid modeling can simulate monotonic and cyclic behavior of JK walls with good accuracy. JK infills have a panel-type configuration which their dominant failure mode would be ductile in flexure. Finally technical and economical advantages of the proposed JK infills are assessed for two representative multistory buildings. It is revealed that JK infills can reduce maximum inter-story drifts as well as residual drifts at the expense of minor increase in the developed base shear.

This study explores the effect of trade of Information Communications Technology (ICT) products and government's role, measured by three factors: Control of corruption, Government effectiveness, and Administrative tax level, on raising the economy across the East Asia-Pacific region. Secondary data were collected from the World Bank database of 21 countries over 12 years from 2006 to 2017. Applying the Panel corrected standard error model and running a robustness check based on the Dynamic panel data method, this research found that the exported ICT products, control of corruption, and government effectiveness could increase the economic income of a country in the region. The paper also provided the evidence indicating that the imported ICT products and the Administrative tax level are two harmful factors for economic growth. The major finding confirmed the useful contribution on improving government quality and its economy. First, improving the economy of a country always poses various challenges to its government. During the past decades, although much of the literature confirmed that exporting ICT products could promote an economy, very few studies investigated the role of Administrative tax level and the Government effectiveness. Second, there are only a few studies exploring the capability of government and the economic growth in the Asia-Pacific region.
