This paper proposes a new approach to palmprint verification based on the gradient, in which a palm image is considered to be a three-dimensional terrain. Principal lines and wrinkles make deep and shallow valleys on a palm landscape. Then the steepest slope direction in each local area is first computed using the Kirsch operator, after which an orientation map is created that represents the dominant slope direction of each pixel. In this study, three orientation maps were made with different scales to represent local and global gradient information. Next, feature matching based on pixel-unit comparison was performed. The experimental results showed that the proposed method is superior to several state-of-the-art methods. In addition, the verification could be greatly improved by fusing orientation maps with different scales.

본 논문에서는 생체인식 수단 중 하나인 손금을 이용한 생체인식에서 Attention U-Net을 기반으로 손금을 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. 손바닥의 손금 중 주요선이라 불리는 생명선, 지능선, 감정선은 거의 변하지 않는 특징을 가지고 있다. 기존의 손금 추출 방법인 비슷한 색상에서 손금 추출, 제한된 Background에서 손금을 추출하는 것이 아닌 피부색과 비슷하거나, 다양한 Background에서 적용될 수 있다. 이를 통해 사용자를 인식하는 생체인식 방법에서 사용할 수 있다. 본 논문에서 사용된 Attention U-Net의 특징을 통해 손금의 Segmentation 영역을 Attention Coefficient를 업데이트하며 효율적으로 학습할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

무선 단말기 기반 기술의 발달에 따라 많은 이용자들이 있고 일반 PC에서만 사용되던 기술들을 무선의 시간 공간 제약이 없는 작업환경에서 이용하고자 하는 욕구의 증가로 점차 확산되고 있다. 이에 발 맞추어 2003년 중반 4개 은행이 PC에서 사용되던 인터넷 뱅킹을 무선 단말기를 이용하는 서비스로 확장 시행하였다. 현재 단말기는 PPC(Pocket PC)와 Palm 사용되는 운영체제로는Window CE와 Palm을 운영체제로 하는 기기에서 서비스를 제공하고 있어, 위의 단말기를 제외한 이 기종에서 서비스 사용이 어렵다. 더 많은 사용자들의 사용을 위해서는 다양한 단말기에서의 사용이 가능하여야 하기 때문에 이 논문에서는 Linux를 OS로 하는 단말기에서의 WPKI인증 기술을 구현한다.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of two single chest physiotherapies mechanically ventilated patients with acute lung injury. Method : Participants were 30 ICU patients depending entirely on ventilators without self-respiration. Each patients received two single chest physiotherapiesvibration palm cup percussion at hour intervals. Data were analyzed one-way ANOVA and Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Statistical significance was accepted at a p value less than .05. Results : ibration therapy, dynamic compliance and statics compliance demonstrated a significant increase immediately and remained increased until 30 minutes after chest physiotherapy. palm cum percussion therapy saturation showed a significant increase immediately chest physiotherapyut there were no significant differences in tidal volume, dynamic compliance and statics compliance. Conclusion : In this study, we analyzed the effects of oscillation method and palm cup percussion method separately for each type of chest physiotherapy. Nursing interventions that actively utilize vibration methods should be provided to patients with respiratory diseases.

This paper is the first of its kind using a non-linear approach based on cross-correlation function (CCF) to investigate the information arrival hypothesis in crude palm oil (CPO) futures market. Based on daily data from 1986 to 2010, our empirical results reveal that: First, the volume of volatility is not a proxy of information flow. Second, dependence causality running from current return to future volume in conditional variance exhibit an asymmetric pattern of time span with different signs of correlation between price and volume series. This finding indicates the presence of noise traders' hypothesis of price-volume interaction in CPO futures market. Both findings suggest that this futures market is weak-form inefficiency. In terms of investors' behavior, they tend to change their expectations on current return based on errors made in previous trade in generating abnormal volume in the subsequent period. As implied, it is advisable for the investors devise their future trading strategies according to time span and changes of return.

현재 다양한 플랫폼에서 수행되는 가상기계가 개발되고 있으며 특히 소규모 장치들에 내장되어 가고 있다. 소규모 장치는 제한된 시스템 자원을 가지고 있기 때문에 적은 자원을 효율적으로 관리하기 위한 방법이 제시되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 Palm장치를 위한 가상기계인 Waba를 기반으로 하여 소규모 장치에서 작동되는 가상기계를 설계하였다. 이를 위해 전체 시스템 구조를 설계한 후 실제 실행과정의 각 단계에서 수행되는 세부 동작을 정의하였으며 실행을 위한 초기화 과정과 인터프리터의 세부 구조에 대해 설계하였다.

디지털 생태계가 기존의 데스크톱위주에서 모바일위주로 변모됨에 따라 모바일 플랫폼 상에서의 주된 사용자의 인터페이스를 담당하며 모바일 디바이스를 관장하는 다양한 운영시스템이 출현하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 1996년 최초로 출현한 모바일 운영시스템인 Palm OS을 시작으로 주요 모바일 운영 시스템의 성공과 실패에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인들이 무엇인지 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 성공한 사례와 실패한 사례에 대한 분석을 실시하고, 성공과 실패에 영향을 미치는 주요 변수를 도출한 후 이를 기반으로 ID 3 알고리즘 기반의 귀납적 분석을 실시하고자 한다. 이를 통하여 모바일 운영 시스템의 성공과 실패에 있어서의 주요 규칙들을 도출하여, 모바일 운영 시스템이 상업적으로 성공하는데 필요한 전략적 시사점을 제시하고자 한다.

본 논문은 depth image에서 검출된 손가락 경계의 거리 그래프 이용하여 손가락을 인식하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 거리 그래프는 손바닥 중심과 손 윤곽선 사이의 각도와 유클리디안 거리를 각각 x, y축으로 하여 보여준다. 그래프가 손끝에서 국부 최대점을 갖는다는 사실을 이용하여 손 형태를 얻을 수 있다. 손가락이 손바닥보다 얇은 것을 이용하여 손목의 무게 중심을 찾은 후에, 손목의 무게 중심의 각도를 기준 각도 $0^{\circ}$로 설정하였다. 모의실험 결과는 제안된 알고리즘이 손의 방향에 영향을 받지 않으며 손가락 상태를 보다 잘 검출할 수 있는 것을 보여준다.
