정수처리공정의 THMs 생성과 농도변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Formation and Concentration of Trihalomethanes in Water Treatment Process)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effects of prechlorination and algae growth on THMs generation. The sample water obtained from Paldang Dam which is a main source of raw water for the Seoul metropolitan area. THMs concentration in the sample water was investigated in water treatment process prechlorifiation, chemical coagulation, and sand filtration. And also, THMs concentration were analyzed in the water which cultured algae in laboratory. The results were as follows 1. The THMs concentration produced by prechlorination unit process were increased in control (not purified) but decreased in process of purification. 2. The THMs concertration can reduce by increasing the number of cleaning filters. 3. The main precursor in raw water for the THMs generation was supplied by algae growth. So as to reduce the THMs concentration in water supplying system, it is the best method to manage algae growth in water body of Paldang reservoir.

  • Many computer models have been used for estimating the water quality and evaluating countermeasures. The models such as QUAL2E, STREAM, WASP, CE-QUAL have been applied in the waters so far. Some modeller assumed either that the flow of the waters is steady or that the storage change of the waters is negligible. And someone excluded hydraulic part from the quality simulation. It may cause inaccurate estimations of water flow and quality, particularly when the waters have seawards boundary and more inflow than outflow, etc. In order to show the velocity vector for water quality simulation of Paldang lake in dynamic condition, RMA-2 was performed with the water quantity data in 1997.

  • 본 연구에서는 한강 하류부(팔당댐-인도교) 구간의 하도에 대한 Manning 조도계수를 1차원 부정류 모형인 NETWORK을 이용하여 산정하였다. 전체 구간을 팔당댐-광장, 잠수교-인도교등 두 구간으로 구분하고 과거 홍수사상자료를 이용하여 유량 규모별로 조도계수를 구하였다. 산정된 조도계수를 기존 연구결과와 비교하였으며 조도계수의 변화에 따른 수위의 변화를 검토하였다.

한강유역 저니층의 중금속 함량 전분석 (The analysis of heavy metal total contents In milt of Han river)

  • An analytic and comparative study on the level of concentration on heavy metals in silt of Han- River was described. The Paldang lake supplies tap water resources for the 20 million residents in the metropolitan zone. It is composed that three steps for water works by the water volume in all 35,072 thousand tons : the first section is 7,251 thousand tons, the second is 15,980 thousand tons and the third is 11,841 thousand tons. However, recently it has becoming a serious social issue for water contamination on Paldang by heavy metals due to gathering of silt. It has concentrated on analysis and comparison study on the level of heavy metals between contamination- estimated zone and the other zones. After all, Concentration on heavy metals of expected none pollute's zone and expected pollute's zone indicate almost similar results. In the end, heavy metals within silt of Han- River consider not to effect on pollution but quantity of natural condition.

부영양화된 하천형 호소(팔당호) 전이대의 수질모델링 (Water Quality Modeling of the Eutrophic Transition Zone in a River-Type Reservoir Paldang)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the main cause of water quality deterioration during the spring season in the transition zone between the South Han River and the river-reservoir Paldang. A water quality model modified from QUAL2E (U.S.EPA) was used, and the model showed that eutrophication and algal production in the low flow season affected about 60% of the organic pollution at the downstream of the South Han River. This result means that phosphorus control is prior to external organic material management to ameliorate the deterioration of water quality in the water body.

팔당호의 영양염류 예측을 위한 수질관리모형의 비교 (Comparison of Water Quality Models for Prediction of Nutrients in Lake Paldang)

  • In this study two water quality models, widely used in Korea, WASP5 and SWRRB were applied to Lake Paldang. The simulated results were compared with the measured data. The simulation results using WASP5 showed that this model could reasonably predict the concentrations of $NO_3$-N, Organic N, and Organic P. In order to investigate the effect of pollution by non-point source SWRRB was simulated and the concentrations of nutrients were predicted. The results from WASP5 and SWRRB are not directly comparable because their input data are different and output values are differently presented. Therefore, if these two simulation models were applied simultaneously, many valuable data and information could be obtained due to their own applicabilities and advantages.

팔당댐 담수수역 식물플랑크톤의 수직분포 (Vertical Distribution of Phytoplankton in the Paldang Dam Reservior)

  • Phytoplankton community was investigated at the Paldang Dam Reservoir in the Mid-Han River by it's depth, in spring and summer known as the period of phytoplankton's blooming. It was only in summer that phytoplankton bloomed at the investigated area. 128 kinds of phytoplankton were identified and of them, diatoms were abundunt in spring but cyanophyta and chlorophyta were in summer. Because some species with high pollution index were observed in summer, it could be proved that the investigated area was polluted especially in summer. In spring shown the circulation period by vertical distribution pattern of chlorophyll-a and isothermal distribution pattern of water temperature, maximum value of phytoplankton standing crops appeared at the upper layer, except for surface layer. In summer shown the circulation period after the stagnation period by vertical distribution pattern of chlorophyll-a and immediate destruction after stratification of water temperature, maximum value of phytoplankton standing crops appeared at the lower layer. the layer at which the maximum value of chlorophyll-a appeared also accorded with that of phytoplankton standing crops. So, it could be approved that there existed a close relationship among phytoplankton standing crops, chlorophyll-a, and water temperature.

팔당호의 수치 순환모형 (Numerical Modeling of Circulation in Lake Paldang)

  • 팔당호의 순환이 수치적으로 해석되었으며 이는 팔당호에 유입되는 오염물과 토사의 확산과 농도의 예측도구의 개발을 위한 단계이다. 2차원 수심적분 지배방정식의 차분화에는 Abbott의 3-단계시간 수치기법과 비선형항에는 시간, 공간적으로 중앙처리한 반복기법을 사용하였다. 모형의 매개변수인 전단응력과 와확산계수는 관측자료를 이용 결정하였다. 평상시 정상류의 유속 계산결과는 바람의 영향을 고려했을 때 실측치에 보다 근접하는 것으로 나타나 이는 정확한 순환해석을 위해서는 바람의 영향을 포함시킴이 필요함을 시사한다. 홍수파의 유입과 팔당댐 방류로 인한 부정류에 대한 모의는 물리적으로 타당한 결과를 제공하여 본 연구의 모형은 바람의 영향을 포함한 부정류 순환현상의 예측도구로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
