고조파 주입에 의한 PWM 인버터의 출력전압 증대 (Output Voltage Increment of a PWM Inverter by The Harmonic Injection Method)

  • A method to increase the output voltage of the PWM inverter within linear range is considered. A new modulation wave is used, which is made by injecting the third harmonic wave into the sinusoidal wave. The optimum region for improving the output voltage keeping the linear control characteristic is obtained by digital simulation. Furthermore, the distortion factor in the optimum region is less than that calculated when the maximum output voltage can be obtained in the sinusoidal PWM inverter.

  • This paper introduces a new pulse-width modulation (PWM) method to reduce common-mode voltages (CMVs) and compare its performance with other reduced CMV-PWM (RCMV-PWM) methods. To avoid the use of zero-vectors which cause high CMV peaks, the introduced method splits every reference vector into two vectors such that the peak-to-peak magnitude of CMV is reduced by one-third of conventional space-vector PWM (SVPWM). The performance of RCMV-PWMs altered by the modulation index are analyzed with simulation results.

과변조 영역에서의 3고조파 주입형 PWM 인버터 제어 (Control of the Third Harmonics Injected PWM Inverter in Over Modulation Mode)

  • 본 논문에서는 3고조파를 주입한 정현파 PWM 인버터의 과변조 영역에서, 인버터 전압을 선형적으로 제어하기 위한 방법을 제시한다. 정현파 PWM에 3고조파를 삽입하면 단순한 정현파 PWM에 비해 선형영역을 확장할 수 있다. 그러나 이 경우에도 선형영역은 six-step 인버터에 비해 90% 정도까지가 된다. 따라서 PWM 인버터를 six-step 인버터의 출력에 이르기까지 선형적으로 제어하기 위해, PWM 인버터의 과변조 영역에서의 변조지수와 인버터 출력의 기본파 전압 크기와의 관계를 분석하여, 과변조 영역에서 기준전압을 보정해 줄 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다. 보정된 기준 전압을 명령 값으로 사용함으로써 반복 계산 없이 3고조파 주입형 정현파 PWM에서 출력전압을 six-steP에서의 전압에 이르기까지 선형적으로 제어할 수 있게 된다. 제안된 방법을 인버터-유도전동기 시스템에 대한 시뮬레이션을 통하여 확인하였고 실험으로 입증하였다.

  • This study proposes a new PWM method for leakage current reduction and neutral point (NP) current control in three-phase three-level converter employed in bipolar DC distribution systems. The proposed PWM method uses medium vectors only when there is no need to control the NP current. Thus, common mode voltages are held constant to realize zero leakage current. Some space vectors that produce low-frequency common mode voltages are employed to minimize leakage currents when the average NP current needs to be a positive or negative value. The proposed space vector PWM is implemented based on barycentric coordinate. The validity of the proposed PWM method is verified by simulations and experiments.

  • In this paper, a voltage type dual PWM converter which achives the bidirectional power flow between a AC supply and a DC bus voltage is described. In PWM modulator, there exist a time difference between the sampling time and carrier wave, it achieves stable modulation even the disturbance in the synchronous AC source voltage. And this paper proposes the compensation method and the control method related a disturbance of synchronous signal using the low pass filter and phase shifter for the stable modulation. As a result the voltage type dual PWM converter makes the imput current wave as sinusoid, and performs the high power factor driving.

  • The switching circuit of PWM inverter is very complicated. By using one-chip $\mu$-com the complication of switching circuit is possible to be diminished. But because in one-chip $\mu$-com the limitation of processed memory size exists, the switching handling method has to be simple. In this paper, to effectively utilize the switching handling, we presented the estimation method of PWM pulses which is different form the conventional PWM switching method by the comparison.

  • This paper presents a hybrid pulse width modulation (PWM) method under low switching frequency conditions based on space vector PWM (SVPWM) and selective harmonic eliminated PWM (SHEPWM), which use asynchronous carrier modulation SVPWM at low frequency, and SHEPWM at high frequency, a square wave after rated conditions. A transitive strategy is proposed to realize a smooth transition of individual modes including SVPWM, SHEPWM and square waves. Experimental results confirm this hybrid modulation method and their transition are reasonable and proper.

  • this paper suggest a new space vector PWM modulation method with short processing time which does not need idenfication of nearest three vectors(NTV) and duty calculation for each vector. The suggested PWM method makes mean value of phase voltage to be same as reference during every modulation period by use of a triangle in small hexagon on multi-level vector space. This paper described the suggested modulation method can be successfully applied to the space vector modulation use of multi-level inverter by computer simulations and experiments.

  • This paper deals with a simple method in order to analyze and compare the harmonic characteristics in the multi-level inverter. Generally, the magnitude of harmonic components becomes different according to the multi-carrier Pulse Width Modulation(PWM) techniques, the modulation index($M_i$) and the switching frequency The previous papers analyzed the harmonic characteristics from the viewpoint of the space voltage vector. Hence, the calculation of the harmonic vector becomes more difficult and complex in 4-level or over 5-level. However, the proposed method has reduced an amount of calculation and simplified the process of it, using the relationship between the reference voltage and the output phase voltage to the load neutral point. It is applied to the 5-level cascade inverter and the harmonic characteristics for each multi-carrier PWM technique are compared through the simulation.

  • The linear control of DC Link voltage in PWM inverter is very importent to estimate the goodness of PWM method. In motor control system, for the maximum torque on full region operating, the whole of DC Link voltage region must be used. 3 phase sinusoidal PWM inverter has a low efficienty at the using of output voltage. according to make better the efficiency, new improved PWM control method is proposed. The results of experimentation and simulation are included to verify the validity of this method.
