단독주택 태양광 발전과 냉방수요를 반영한 전력 최적운용 전략 연구 (Study on Optimal Control Algorithm of Electricity Use in a Single Family House Model Reflecting PV Power Generation and Cooling Demand)

  • An optimization algorithm is developed based on a simulation case of a single family house model equipped with PV arrays. To increase the nationwide use of PV power generation facilities, a market-competitive electricity price needs to be introduced, which is determined based on the time of use. In this study, quadratic programming optimization was applied to minimize the electricity bill while maintaining the indoor temperature within allowable error bounds. For optimization, it is assumed that the weather and electricity demand are predicted. An EnergyPlus-based house model was approximated by using an equivalent RC circuit model for application as a linear constraint to the optimization. Based on the RC model, model predictive control was applied to the management of the cooling load and electricity for the first week of August. The result shows that more than 25% of electricity consumed for cooling can be saved by allowing excursions of temperature error within an affordable range. In addition, profit can be made by reselling electricity to the main grid energy supplier during peak hours.

Utility Interactive PV Systems with Power Shaping Function for Increasing Peak Power Cut Effect

  • This paper describes the Utility Interactive PV (UIPV) system which can improve the peak-cut effect by adding an energy storage device of batteries to the power converter. The proposed system has three possible operation modes depending on relative condition of PV output, which can have the power shaping function covering the peak power for 3 hours. A new power circuit and an application algorithm have been applied to the UIPV system which is based on working PV system during a 3-hour peak time. The energy relationship by the proposed system is analyzed theoretically and experimentally. The proposed system is evaluated at the viewpoint of cost and total spacing, which enables the proposed UIPV system to have the reduction of the peak power demand and hence to improve the power capacity of peak cut.

  • 본 논문은 기존의 시스템에 비해 시스템의 전력회로 구조의 큰 변경 없이 밧데리와 같은 전력저장 장치 디바이스의 추가와 개선된 운용방법을 적용한 첨두부하 삭감효과를 갖는 계통연계형 태양광발전시스템(UIPV)을 제안하였다. 개선된 운용방법과 에너지 저장장치의 추가로 기존 시스템에 비해 PV-array 용량을 작게 설치하여도 첨두부하 삭감효과를 크게 할 수 있으며, 가격 및 설치공간 등의 면에서 평가하여 기존시스템보다 더 나아짐을 확인하였다.

  • Perimeter zone has been reinforced by active systems, such as fan-coil units, because it causes an increase in heating and cooling loads, dew condensation in winter, or discomfort with cold-draft to residents in buildings, through poor insulation by light-weighed skin due to progressing multi-storied buildings and skyscrapers. However, because these active systems raise Its capacity so that fossil fuel is used as much as they are added, and ultimately, greenhouse effect is urged, we proposed BIPV system functioned as solar collector which can substitute active system. As an early stage, heat balance equation in steady-state by Fortran was used not only for pre-heating effect and electric power capacity during the day in winter, but also for electric power capacity during day in slimmer and sky radiation effect during night in summer. Especially, we should have considered shading on PV, since even a little bit of it makes the efficiency too low for the PV to work. Still, when the flux of pre-heated air was increased to make air-barrier, its temperature was not enough to make it because the speed of heat exchange was too fast to warm up the air, thus the capacity to meet the condition was evaluated, and electric power from PV was made used for it.

Shingled PV 모듈 적용을 위한 Ag Paste 저감 전극 구조 설계 (Design of Electrode Structure for Reducing Ag Paste for Shingled PV Module Application)

  • A shingled PV module is manufactured by dividing and bonding. In this method, the solar cell is divided by lasers and bonded using electrically conductive adhesives (ECAs). Consequently, the manufacturing cost increases because a process step is added. Therefore, we aim to reduce the production cost by reducing the amount of Ag paste used in the solar cell front. Various electrode structures were designed and simulated. The number of fingers was optimized by designing thinner fingers, and the number of fingers with the maximum power conversion efficiency was confirmed. The simulation confirmed the maximum efficiency in the 4-divided electrode pattern. The amount of Ag paste used for each electrode pattern was calculated and analyzed. The number of fingers was optimized by decreasing the width of the finger; this will not only reduce the amount of Ag paste required but also the increase the efficiency.

  • 본 논문에서는 오픈 모바일 플랫폼인 안드로이드를 리눅스 커널을 기반으로 하는 ARM Cortex-A8 Core를 사용한 SAMSUNG의 S5PV210 CPU를 장착한 MPU 모듈, Base 보드 모듈 및 센서 모듈을 제작하여 실시간 프레임워크를 설계함으로서 효율적인 산업용 제어를 가능하게 하였다. 센서 모듈에서 획득한 온도 및 습도 데이터는 하이브리드 어플리케이션을 개발함으로서 Web Server를 통하여 데이터베이스에 저장된 후 클라이언트 User가 온도 및 습도 데이터를 스마트 폰에서 확인 함으로서 실시간 프레임워크 설계의 적합성 및 타당성을 검증한다.

  • The artificial increase in the solar intensity incident on solar cells using lenses or mirrors can allow solar cells to generate equivalent power with a lower cost. In application areas of Fresnel lenses as solar concentrators, several variations of design were devised and tested. Some PV systems still use commercially available flat Fresnel lenses as concentrators. In this study, we designed and optimized flat Fresnel lens and the 'light pipe' to develop 500X concentrated solar PV system. We performed rigorous ray tracing simulation of the flat Fresnel lens and light-pipe. The light-pipe can play imporatant roles of redistributing solar energy at the solar cell and increase the mechanical tolerance so that it can increase the lifetime of the high-concentration solar PV system and decrease the cost of manufacturing. To investigate the sensitivity of the solar power generated by the concentrated solar PV according to the performance of lens and light pipe, we performed raytracing and executed a simulation of electrical performance of the solar cell when it is exposed to the non-uniform illumination. We could conclude that we can generate 95 % or more energy compared with the energy that can be generated by perfectly uniform illumination once the total energy is given the same.

감성분석과 토픽모델링을 활용한 농촌태양광 관련 이슈 연구 : 언론 기사와 블로그 포스트 비교 (Application of Sentiment Analysis and Topic Modeling on Rural Solar PV Issues : Comparison of News Articles and Blog Posts)

  • 사회적 의제 설정 영향력을 지닌 미디어인 언론 기사와 블로그 포스트에서 농촌태양광이 어떻게 다루어지고 있는지 분석하기 위해 텍스트 마이닝 방법을 활용하였다. 농촌태양광을 키워드로 웹스크래핑을 통해 기사와 블로그 포스트의 텍스트 자료를 수집하고, 이에 대해 감성분석과 토픽모델 기법을 적용하여 연구를 수행했다. 감성분석 결과 농촌태양광에 대한 텍스트에서 두 매체 모두 긍정적인 입장을 가지는 비율이 높았는데, 블로그의 경우 기사에 비해 부정적인 내용을 담은 텍스트의 비중이 훨씬 낮은 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 토픽모델링 결과로 긍정 기사는 정부의 보급계획 관련 토픽들의 비중이 컸고, 부정 기사는 다양한 토픽들의 비중이 고르게 분포하였다. 블로그는 긍정 포스트의 경우 농촌 지역 설치 관련 토픽들이, 부정 포스트는 환경 피해 관련 토픽들이 가장 큰 부분을 차지했다. 기존에 별개로 이루어지던 감성분석과 토픽모델링을 결합하는 연구 방식을 제시함으로써 농촌태양광에 대한 이슈를 효과적으로 파악할 수 있었다.
