육각형 압전변압기의 제조 및 전기적 출력 특성 (Fabrication and Electrical Characteristics of a hexagon-type piezoelectric transformer)

  • 본 연구에서는 풀력측 전극비를 보다 증가시킬 목적으로 새로운 형상인 육각형 압전변압기를 제작하여 전극 패턴을 설계하고, 전기적 출력 특성을 검토하였다. 이 때 육각형 압전변압기의 한변의 길이가 각각 14[mm]와 17.5[mm]로 하였으며, 압전변압기에 적용된 세라믹의 성분계는 PZT-PMN-PSN이었으며, 기계적 품질계수가 1200, 전기기계결합계수는 55%, 압전정수 $d_{33}$은 320${\times}$$10^{-l2}$C/N, 손실계수는 0.3%이었다. 부하저항의 증가에 따라 승압비는 증가하였으며, 육각형 압전변압기의 한 변의 길이가 증가함에 따라서도 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 최대 효율은 10∼20[M$\Omega$]근처에서 약 93%가 얻어졌다.다.다.

  • 본 연구에서는 고출력 압전 변압기에 적합한 압전 세라믹을 찾고자 그 조성으로 PZT계에 $Pb(Mn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3$$Pb(Sb_{1/2}Nb_{1/2})O_3$이 첨가된 3성분계 조성인 0.95Pb($Zr_xTi_{1-x}$)$O_3$+yPMN+(0.05-y)PSN으로 하였는데, 기계적 품질계수를 향상시킬 목적으로 PMN을 선정하였고, PSN은 유전율 및 전기기계 결합계수가 PMN으로 인해 저하되는 것을 방지 하고자 선정하였다. 이 3성분계 조성에서 최적의 성능을 가질 수 있는 MPB(Morphotropic Phase Boundary) 영역에서 유전 압전 및 전기적 특성을 정량적 정성적으로 검토하였다.

  • In this paper, a hexagon-type piezoelectric transformer was investigated to increase the output power. The length of its side was 14mm and 17.5mm, respectively. The piezoelectric ceramics was composed to PZT-PMN-PSN. This composition showed the characteristics which had an about 1500 of the mechanical Q-factor, 0.55 of the electromechanical coupling coefficient, $320{\times}10^{-12}C/N$ of the piezoelectric constant $d_{31}$, 0.3 % of the dissipation factor, etc. The voltage step-up ratio increased with increasing the load resistance, $R_{L}$, so it reached 80 with $R_{L}$ of $1M{\Omega}$ and was proportion to the length of side of the hexagon-type piezoelectric transformer. Also, the output power increased with increasing the size of the hexagon-type piezoelectric transformer.

  • In this study, the foot-spa driving circuit using ultrasonic vibrator was manufactured The used ultrasonic vibrator was PSN-PMN-PZT ceramic with the radius of $25{\Phi}$ and the thickness of 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5 and 4mm, respectively. Resonent frequency for driving ultrasonic vibrator at the fabricated circuit was generated using the self exciting and the external exciting methods. Fabricated foot-spa showed the best condition at the resonent frequency of 1.130MHz and the ceramic thickness of 2.0mm. That is, when the foot-spa was operated for 360 min. at $0.5\ell$ water, temperature increase of water was $14^{\circ}C$ at the self exciting method and $16^{\circ}C$ at the external exciting methods, respectively.

Effect of CuO on the Low Temperature Sintering Properties of PSN-PNN-PZT Ceramics

  • In this study, in order to develop the low temperature sintering ceramics for ultrasonic vibrator, Pb(Sb$\_$$\frac{1}{2}$/Nb$\_$$\frac{1}{2}$/) O$_3$-Pb(Ni$\_$1/3/Nb$\_$2/3/)O$_3$-Pb(Zr$\_$0.48/Ti$\_$0.52/)O$_3$ ceramics were manufactured as a function of the amount of CuO addition, and their dielectric and piezoelectric characteristics were investigated. With increasing CuO addition, the grain size and density increased up to 0.3 wt% CuO addition. Taking into consideration electromechanical coupling factor(k$\_$p/) of 0.53, mechanical quality factor(Q$\_$m/) of 423, dielectric constant($\varepsilon$$\_$r/) of 1,759 and piezoelectric constant(d$\_$33/) of 362pC/N, it could be concluded that 0.5 wt% CuO added composition ceramic sintered at 920$^{\circ}C$ was suitable for ultrasonic vibrator application.
