PS 판용 1,2-Naphthoquinone-(2)diazide-5-sulfonic Acid Ester Derivatives의 합성 및 응용 (Studies on 1,2-Naphthoquinone-(2)diazide-5-sulfonic Acid Ester Derivatives for Pre-sensitized Offset Plates)

  • 본 연구에서는 sodium 2-diazo-1-naphthoquinone-5-sulfonate를 chlorination하여 2-diazo-naphthoquinone-5-sulfonyl chloride(NQD-Cl)를 합성하였다. NQD-Cl을 여러 종류의 hydroxybenzophenone 유도체와 esterification하여 hydroxy group이 2-diazo-naphthoquinone-5-sulfonyl(NQD) group으로 치환된 여러 종류의 1,2-naphthoquinone-(1,2)-diazide-5-sulfonic acid esters(NQD0ester) 유도체를 합성하였다. NQD-ester 유도체의 용해도를 증가시키기 위해 methoxy group이 도입된 유도체와 이와 비교를 위해 hydroxy group만을 가지는 benzophenone 유도체를 사용하여 비교하였다. 각각의 NQD-ester 유도체의 용해특성을 조사하였으며, novolac수지와 혼용(formulation)하여 감광액을 제조하여 알루미늄판에 도포, 건조하여 PS판을 제조하였다. PS판의 감광특성과 광퇴색도와 화상형성에 적합한 노광시간을 조사하였으며, 상대감도를 gray scale(GS)법으로 조사하였다. 치환된 NQD group 의 수에 따라 GS법에 의한 상대감도가 다르게 나타나는 것을 알 수 있었다. Methoxy group이 도입된 NQD-ester유도체는 좋은 용해특성을 보여주었으며 시판되는 PS판과 동일한 노광조건에서 비교해 본 결과 보다 우수한 감도를 보였다.

Free-vibration and buckling of Mindlin plates using SGN-FEM models and effects of parasitic shear in models performance

  • Free-vibration and buckling analyses of plate problems are investigated with the aid of the strain gradient notation finite element method (SGN-FEM). As SGN-FEM employs physically interpretable polynomials in developing finite elements, parasitic shear sources, which are the cause of shear locking, can be precisely identified and subsequently eliminated. This allows two mutually complementary objectives to be defined in this work, namely, evaluate the efficiency of free-vibration and buckling results provided by corrected models, and study the severity of parasitic shear effects on plate models performance. Parasitic shear are flexural terms erroneously present in shear strain polynomials. It is reviewed here that six parasitic shear terms arise during the formulation of the four-node Mindlin plate element. Two parasitic shear terms have been identified in the in-plane shear strain polynomial while other two have been identified in each of the transverse shear strain polynomials. The element is corrected a-priori, i.e., during development, by simply removing the spurious terms from the shear strain polynomials. The computational implementation of the element in its two versions, namely, containing the parasitic shear terms (PS) and corrected for parasitic shear (SG), allows for assessments of the accuracy of results and of the deleterious effects of parasitic shear in free vibration and buckling analyses. This assessment of the parasitic shear effects is a novelty of this work. Validation of the SG model is done comparing its results with analytical results and results provided by other numerical procedures. Analyses are performed for square plates with different thickness-to-length ratios and boundary conditions. Results for thin plates provided by the PS model do not converge to the correct solutions, which indicates that parasitic shear must be eliminated. That is, analysts should not rely on refinement alone. For thick plates, PS model results can be considered acceptable as deleterious effects are really critical in thin plates. On the other hand, results provided by the SG model converge well for both thin and thick plates. The effectiveness of the SG model is established via high-accuracy results obtained in several examples. It is concluded that corrected SGN-FEM models are efficient alternatives for free-vibration and buckling analysis of Mindlin plate problems, and that precise elimination of parasitic shear is a requirement for sound analyses.

UHPC를 적용한 PS 정착부의 응력해석 (Stress Analysis of PS Anchorage Zone Using Ultra High Performance Concrete)

  • 현재 사용되는 보통 콘크리트를 이용한 PS 정착부는 응력 집중에 의한 복잡한 배근상세로 단면이 커지고, 인장응력에 저항하기 위한 추가적인 철근이 많이 배근되어 시공성이 저하된다. 그러나, 최근 개발된 UHPC를 PS 부재에 적용할 경우 높은 강도와 우수한 역학적 특성으로 인해 단면 축소 및 PS 정착부의 복잡한 배근상세를 단순화 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 따라서, 이 논문에서는 UHPC 재료의 역학적 특성을 적용하여 보통 콘크리트에 비해 단면을 축소하고 별도의 정착장치와 구속철근이 없는 PS 정착부의 역학적 거동을 유한요소해석 방법을 이용하여 수행하였다. 그 결과, 최대 파열응력은 수직균열에 의한 파괴없이 저항할 수 있는 하중재하능력 기준을 만족하였으며, 발생위치는 단면 폭의 0.2배 되는 위치에서 발생하였다. 또, 도로교설계기준에서 제시된 근사해법의 파열력과 유한요소해석 결과를 비교한 결과 구속철근 보강 없이도 파열력에 저항할 수 있는 하중재하능력 기준을 만족하는 결과를 확인 할 수 있었다.

  • In this study we investigated the reaction kinetics by a convenient but useful method-rheology to characterize the interface between two immiscible blends with a Reactive compatibilizer. Also, we made an attempt to correlate changes of interface roughness with rheological properties. The blend systems employed in this study was mono-carboxylated polystyrene (PS-mCOOH) and an poly(methyl methacrylate-ran-glycidylmethacrylate) (PMMA-GMA). PS-mCOOH was synthesized by an anionic polymerization and PMMA-GMA by a free radical polymerization. We prepared two plates of each polymer using compression molding with a smooth surface molder, then put one upon another. As soon as these two plates welds together inside a rheometer under nitrogen environment, the torque and moduli were obtained with reaction time at different temperatures. Through the analysis of this modulus change with reaction time, we estimated interfacial reaction and roughening. The increment of modulus in initial state can be correlated to the extent of reaction. We obtained the reaction kinetic constant by fitting appropriate kinetic equation into experimental data. We also showed that increment of modulus in later state was due to by roughened interface.

Out-of-plane ductile failure of notch: Evaluation of Equivalent Material Concept

  • In the present study, the fracture toughness of U-shaped notches made of aluminum alloy Al7075-T6 under combined tension/out-of-plane shear loading conditions (mixed mode I/III) is studied by theoretical and experimental methods. In the experimental part, U-notched test samples are loaded using a previously developed fixture under mixed mode I/III loading and their load-carrying capacity (LCC) is measured. Then, due to the presence of considerable plasticity in the notch vicinity at crack initiation instance, using the Equivalent Material Concept (EMC) and with the help of the point stress (PS) and mean stress (MS) brittle failure criteria, the LCC of the tested samples is predicted theoretically. The EMC equates a ductile material with a virtual brittle material in order to avoid performing elastic-plastic analysis. Because of the very good match between the EMC-PS and EMC-MS combined criteria with the experimental results, the use of the combination of the criteria with EMC is recommended for designing U-notched aluminum plates in engineering structures. Meanwhile, because of nearly the same accuracy of the two criteria and the simplicity of the PS criterion relations, the use of EMC-PS failure model in design of notched Al7075-T6 components is superior to the EMC-MS criterion.

플라스틱의 연소 시 발생하는 연기 위험성에 관한 연구 (Risk of Smoke Occurring in the Combustion of Plastics)

  • 본 연구에서는 5종의 섬유강화플라스틱(Fiber Reinforced Plastic, FRP), 폴리스티렌(Polystylene, PS), 폴리카보네이트(Polycarbonate, PC), 폴리프로필렌(Polypropylene, PP), 폴리염화비닐(Polyvinyl chloride, PVC) 판을 콘칼로리미터(Cone calorimeter, ISO 5660)를 이용하여 연소성을 시험하였다. 그 결과 PVC판은 최대열방출률($HRR_{peak}$)이 $44.65kW/m^2$, 최대평균열방사율(MARHE)이 $30.97kW/m^2$로 가장 낮게 나타났고, PS판은 $HRR_{peak}$$773.44kW/m^2$, MARHE는 $399.14kW/m^2$으로 가장 높게 나타났다. 일산화탄소의 평균($CO_{mean}$) 발생량은 PC판과 PS판이 최대 3.88배로 가장 많이 발생하였고, 반대로 이산화탄소($CO_{2mean}$)의 평균 발생량은 PS판과 PP판이 최대 4.88배로 가장 많이 발생하였다. 또 PS판은 다른 플라스틱보다 연기성능지수(SPI)가 74.81%~95.99% 감소하였고, 연기성장지수(SGI)는 76%~300%, 연기강도(SI)는 917.73%~9607.57% 증가하여 연기위험성이 높다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 PS판은 열적 측면에서나 연기 측면 모두 연기로 인한 인명피해의 위험성이 가장 높았음을 알았다.

  • Positive type presensitized offset plate developer were blended by quantitative analysis method. The test had been proceeeded to check variation of developability, shelf life and tone reproduction by SiO2/Na2O ratio to PS plate developer, added glycerin, and sodium phosphate with glycerin. This study of tone reproduction had been tested 5 times to get accuracy by PS platesusing kodak CCG C-3, KMS. The test result of tone reproduction of presensitized offset plates can be summarized as follows ; major compositions in positive type plate developer were Na, Si, K and P, developability were increased by Sio2/NaO2 ratio in positive type plate developer. Shelf life can be kept by add glycerin to positive type plate developer. Tone reproduction were improved by sodium phosphate due to buffer action while shelf life can be kept by add glycerin in positive type plate developer.

국산 CTP Thermal Plate의 표면 구조에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Surface Structure of Domestic CTP Thermal Plate)

  • Even though we could not count the total amount of plates in Korean printing industry per year, we would suppose the total amount of plates about $20,000km^2$ to $22,000km^2$ per year through our printing experience. On the standard of the end of 2010, it would be the market share of plates are that CTP plate is $9,000km^2$, CTcP plate is$4,000km^2$ and PS plate is $9,000km^2$, such as total amount of plates are $22,000km^2$. When there was no installed CTP setter in Korea, the domestic plate would be over 60% market share of plate in Korean printing industry. But now it would be less than 25% market share of plate. It is necessary to develop domestic CTP thermal plate from now because we have to keep the market share of domestic plate. On the study of the surface structure of substrate, roughness, anodized layer amount and coating amount between domestic CTP thermal plate and foreign CTP thermal plate, it would be the basic to develop domestic CTP thermal plate.

포지용 오프셋 PS판의 현상액 개발 (A Study on the development of developer for positive type presensitized off-set plates)

  • Recently the study of the application of liquid crystal in industrial fields has developed rapidly. It is well known that the encapsulated liquid crystal is advantageous than raw liquid crystal for protection of surface pollution. This paper describes a new class of thermal sensor. It is that the liquid crystal polymer composite(LCPC) films consisting of a continuous LC phase embedded in a three-dimensional network of polymer matrix are formed by photopolymerization-induced phase separation. In this works, it has been demonstrated that consiste of a 8:2 mixture of chiral nematic liquid crystal and HX-620 has the greatest domain and it was best discoloration.

Film-Forming Properties of Proteinaceous Fibrous Material Produced from Soybean Fermented by Bacillus natto

  • The effectiveness of a proteinaceous fibrous material formed during commercial fermentation of soy protein (PFSP) and cysteine addition were evaluated in order to improve on the properties of soy protein-based films. Nine types of films were prepared at pH 7, 9, and 11, with heat treatments at $70^{\circ}C\;and\;90^{\circ}C$ for 30 min, by casting 5% (w/w) PFSP aqueous solution, containing 2.25% (w/w) glycerol, on to polystyrene plates. The tensile strength (TS) of films ranged from 3.88 to 6.87 MPa. The highest puncture strength (PS) was observed with pH 7.0 films prepared from PFSP solution heated at $70^{\circ}C$ (P<0.05). Alkaline pH and temperature caused a decrease in both the TS and PS of the films. The thickness of films ranged from $58\;to\;74{\mu}m$. Water vapor permeabilities of the films decreased with increasing pH and temperature. To produce films from PFSP, pH value of 7.0 to 9.0 and heat treatment of $70^{\circ}C\;to\;90^{\circ}C$ were needed. A soluble nature of PFSP films in water might be useful for preparation of hot water-soluble pouches. Cysteine addition could be necessary to produce films with increased TS and enhanced barrier properties. The combination treatment that provided the best combination of barrier and mechanical properties was the PFSP film prepared at pH 7.0 with addition of 1% cysteine. The films were good oxygen barriers.
