The significance of the single hormone receptor positive phenotype of breast cancer is still poorly understood. The use of hormone therapy has been found to be less effective for this type, which has a survival outcome midway between double positive and double negative phenotypes. The aim of this study was to investigate differences in patient and tumor characteristics and survival between double-receptor positive (ER+PR+), double receptor negative (ER-PR-) and single receptor positive (ER+PR- and ER-PR+) breast cancer in an Asian setting. A total of 1,992 patients with newly diagnosed stage I to IV breast cancer between 2003 and 2008, and where information on ER and PR were available, were included in this study. The majority of patients had ER+PR+ tumors (n=903: 45.3%), followed by 741 (37.2%) ER-PR-, 247 (12.4%) ER+PR-, and 101 (5.1%) ER-PR+ tumors. Using multivariate analysis, ER+PR- tumors were 2.4 times more likely to be grade 3 compared to ER+PR+ tumors. ER+PR- and ER-PR+ tumors were 82% and 86% respectively less likely to be grade 3 compared with ER-PR- tumors. ER-PR+ tumours were associated with younger age. There were no survival differences between patients with ER+PR+ and ER-PR+ tumors. However, ER+PR- tumors have poorer survival compared with ER+PR+ tumours. ER-PR- tumours had the worst survival. Adjuvant hormonal therapy with tamoxifen was found to have identical survival advantage in patients with ER+PR+ and ER-PR+ tumors whereas impact was slightly lower in patients with ER+PR- tumors. In conclusion, we found ER+PR- tumors to be more aggressive and have poorer survival when compared to ER+PR+ tumors, while patients with ER-PR+ tumours were younger, but had a similar survival to their counterparts with ER+PR+ tumours.
After dividing 372 Korean people of 47 different family names into 307 people of 28 indigenous family name groups and 65 people of 19 immigrated family name groups and investigating Pr. Db, Pa gene frequency of each family name groups based on phenotype of parotid saliva character the author have got following conclusions. 1. The gene frequencies of indigenous family name groups were Pr1=0.686, Pr2=0.314, Pr gene frequencies of immigrated family name groups were Pr1=0.7, Pr2=0.3. 2. The gene frequencies of indigenous family name groups were Db==0.021, Db-=0.979, Pr gene frequencies of immigrated family name groups were Db+=0.023, Db-=0.977. 3. The gene frequencies of indigenous family name groups were Pa+=0.248, Pa-=0.752, Pr gene frequencies of immigrated family name groups were Pa+=0.206, Pa-=0.794. 4. The Pr gene frequencies of immigrated family name groups were in the middle of those of Chinese people and indigenous people groups. 5. There was no significant difference of Db gene frequencies between indigenous and immigrated family name groups. 6. Pa gene frequencies of immigrated family name groups were similar to those of Chinese people.

It is reported that Pueraria Radix contains phtoestrogens whereas flower, and bud of Pueraria lobata Ohwi were not known. In the present study, we determined the amount of phytoestrogen in each portion of P. lobata Ohwi and carried out therapeutic effects of osteoporosis. The amounts of genistein, daidzein, and formononetin in Pueraria Radix (PR), Pueraria Flos (PF), and young Pueratia Folium (PL) were quantitated using a HPLC system. Proliferation of osteoblast and growth inhibitory effect on osteoclast were measured in order to screen their effects on osteoporosis. Proliferation of osteoblast-like cells (Saos-2) was analyzed by both MTT methods and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) assays. Growth inhibitory effect on osteoclast was also detected as Tartrate resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP) assay. Ovariectomized rat as an in vivo animal model was selected and administrations of PR were 1 g/kg/day (PR-1) and 5 g/kg/day (PR-5) for 9 weeks, respectively. Trabecular bone areas (TBAs) of tibia and lumbar were analyzed usibg histomorphological methods. Results show that PR contains the highest level of daidzein ($10435{\pm}2143\;mg/kg$ of dried herb) and stimulated ALP activity, approximately 160% of the control. Growth inhibitory effect on osteoclast by both PR and daidzein were almost identical with control although $IC_{50}$ of genistein was $5.81{\times}10^{-7}$ M. Increases in body weight of OVX rats were suppressed by administration of PR but wet weights of uterus in PR-5 group were increased (p<0.05). Plasma ALP and HDL-cholesterol levels were decreased following ages (p<0.01), and LDL-cholesterol level was also decreased in PR-5 group at 20 week of age (p<0.01). TBAs of tibia and lumbar in PR-1 and PR-5 groups were higher than those of the control although the values were less than those of the sham group (each p<0.01) In conclusion, administrations of PR prevented loss of TBAs of tibia and lumber in OVX rats, while PL and PF did not (p<0.01).
In order to invetigate the effect of Pr additive on the magnetostriction of amorphous Fe-B alloys, amorphous $Fe_{86-x}B_{14}Pr_{x}(2{\leq}x{\leq}8\;at.%)$ alloys were prepared by a rapid solidification process. As the Pr content increased in the as-prepared amorphous $Fe_{84}B_{14}Pr_{2}$ alloy annealed at $300^{\circ}C$ for 2 hr increased to 70 ppm. Ac power loss and permeability$(f=50\;kHz,\;B_{m}=0.1\;T)$ of the annealed amorphous $Fe_{84}B_{14}Pr_{2}$ alloy were 15 W/kg and $5.5{\times}10^{3}$, respectively.
Policy Customer Relationship Management(PCRM) is a customer relationship management of public institution. Most of public servants at the 37 government ministries, however, has used PCRM as a simple tool for email service and online survey. This study shows government officials should understand the fact that PCRM is not a tool but a management system for general public; and utilize PCRM in each and every government PR practices. When using the PCRM indispensable to be shared with the PR of public sector, PCRM PR will be activated. The study also furnish various strategies and tactics for government PCRM PR.
After alkaline slab polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and 3.3'-DMB staining of parotid saliva from 48 peoples in Ullung-do and 35 peoples in Jawall-do, the author have got following conclusions. 1. The gene frequencies of Proline-rich protein in Ullung-do were Pr1 =0.719, Pr2=0.281 2. The gene frequencies of Proline-rich protein in Jawall-do were Pr1=0.671, Pr2=0.329 3. The gene frequencies of Double band protein in Ullung-do were Db+=0.087, Db-=0.913 4. The gene frequencies of Double band protein in Jawall-do were Db+=0.0.106, Db-=0.0.894 5. The gene frequencies of Pa protein in Ullung-do were Pa+=0.179, Pa-=0.821 6. The gene frequencies of Pa protein in Jawall-do were Pa+=0.167, Pa-=0.833 7. The gene frequencies of Pr1 of Ullung-do and jawall-do were lower than those of Pr1 in Seoul and Onyang, but similar to those of Pr1 in kangnung and Cheju. 8. The gene frequencies of Db- of Ullung-do and Jawall-do were much higher than those of Db+ in Japanese, Chinese and other populations in Korean.

$1.6\;{\mu}m$ emission originated from $Pr^{3+}:\;(^3F_3,\;^3F_4)\;{\longrightarrow}\;^3H_4$ transition in $Pr^{3+}-\;and\;Pr^{3+}/Er^{3+}$-doped selenide glasses was investigated under an optical pump of a conventional 1480 nm laser diode. The measured peak wavelength and fullwidth at half-maximum of the fluorescent emission are ~1650nm and 120nm, respectively. A moderate lifetime of the thermally coupled upper manifolds of ${\sim}212{\pm}10{\mu}s$ together with a high stimulated emission cross-section of ${\sim}(3{\pm}1){\times}10^{-20}\;cm^2$ promises to be useful for $1.6{\mu}m$ band fiber-optic amplifiers that can be pumped with an existing high-power 1480 nm laser diode. Codoping $Er^{3+}$ enhances the emission intensity by way of a nonradiative $Er^{3+}:\;^4I_{13/2}\;{\longrightarrow}\;Pr^{3+}:\;(^3F_3,\;^3F_4)$ energy transfer. The Dexter model based on the spectral overlap between donor emission and acceptor absorption describes well the energy transfer from $Er^{3+}$ to $Pr^{3+}$ in these glasses. Also discussed in this paper are major transmission loss mechanisms of a selenide glass optical fiber.

The electrical properties and stability of Pr$_{6}$/O$_{11}$-based ZnO wvaristors consisting of ZnO-Pr$_{6}$/O$_{11}$-CoO-Dy$_{2}$/O$_{3}$ based ceramics were investigated in the Dy$_{2}$/O$_{3}$ additive content range o 0.0 to 2.0 mol%. The density was nearly constant 5.62 g/cm$^3$corresponding to 97% of theoretical density as Dy$_{2}$/O$_{3}$ additive content increases up to 0.5 mol%. However the density decreased as Dy$_{2}$/O sub 3/ additive content is further additive content. Pr$_{6}$/O$_{11}$-based ZnO varistors doped with 0.5mol% Dy$_{2}$/O$_{3}$ exhibited a good nonlinearity, which is 37.76 in the nonlinear exponent and 5.36 $mutextrm{A}$ in the leakage current. And they exhibited very stress (0.80 V$_{1mA}$/9$0^{\circ}C$/12h)+(0.85 V$_{1mA}$/115$^{\circ}C$/12h)+(0.95 V$_{1mA}$/1$25^{\circ}C$/12h). Consequently it was estimated that ZnO-0.5 mol% Pr$_{6}$/O$_{11}$-1.0 mol% CoO-0.5 mol% Dy$_{2}$/O$_{3}$ based ceramics will be sufficiently used as a basic composition to develop the advanced Pr$_{6}$/O$_{11}$-based ZnO varistors in the future.he future.uture.he future.
A lithiated compound $Li_{0.1}Pr^{3+}Ba_2Cu_3O_y$ has been successfully prepared by electrochemical method, which is achieved with a two electrode cell of the type: Metal(Li)/($Li^+\;,\;ClO_4^-$) + propylene carbonate/$PrBa_2Cu_3O_y$. All Pr ions in the lithiated compound are stabilized with a trivalent state as the other rare earths (Ⅲ) substituted in the 90K superconductor lattice ($Y_{1-x}Ln_x^-Ba_2Cu_3O_{7-{\delta}}$). Powder X-ray diffraction analysis shows that both compounds, $PrBa_2Cu_3O_y$ and $Li_{0.1}PrBa_2Cu_3O_y$ are isostructural with the 90 K superconductor, ($YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-{\delta}}$), nevertheless both of them are non-metallic and also non-superconducting down to 10 K. Magnetic susceptibility ${\chi}$ vs. temperature data indicate that Curie contribution from the magnetic ions (Pr and Cu) is weakened on the one hand, but on the other hand temperature-independent part of susceptibility ${\chi}_o$ increases depending upon the rate of lithium intercalation in $PrBa_2Cu_3O_y$ lattice.
We have investigated the effects of the ethylene precursor 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (ACC), indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and methyl jasmonate (MeJA) on the development of aerenchyma in the primary root of maize (Zea mays). Because plant hormones affected the longitudinal organization of the primary root, we need an indicator to direct the positions for comparison between control and hormone-treated roots. Therefore, the zones of the maize primary root were categorized as PR25, PR50 and PR75, where each value indicates the relative position between the root tip (PR0) and the base (PR100). Aerenchyma was not observed at PR25 and PR50 and rarely found at PR75 in the cortex of control roots. The aerenchymal area at PR75 increased in the presence of the ethylene precursor ACC or a natural auxin IAA. On the other hand, MeJA differentially acted on non-submerged and submerged roots. Exogenously applied MeJA suppressed the aerenchyma formation in non-submerged roots. When the primary root was submerged, aerenchymal area expanded prominently. The submergence-induced aerenchyma formation was amplified with MeJA. Lateral root primordia have been known to inhibit aerenchymal death of surrounding cells. All the three hormones stimulating aerenchyma formation as described above did not restore the inhibition caused by lateral root primordia, suggesting that the inhibitory step regulated by lateral root primordia can be located after hormonal signaling steps.
