Preparation and properties of potential CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) precursors for the TiO2, a major component of the perovskite materials such as PT, PLT, PZT, and PLZT were investigated. Reactions between β-diketones and TiMe3, formed in situ failed to produce stable Ti(β-diketonate)3 complexes but a stable purple solid, characterized as (OTi(BPP)2)2 (BPP=1,3-biphenyl-1,3-propanedione) was obtained when BPP was used. Several new Ti(Oi-Pr)2(β-diketonate)2 complexes with aromatic or ring substituents were synthesized by the substitution reaction of Ti(OiPr)4by β-diketones and characterized with 1H NMR, IR, ICP, and TGA. Solid complexes such as Ti(Oi-Pr)2(BAC)2 (BAC=1.-phenyl-2,4-pentanedione), Ti(Oi-Pr)2(BPP)2, Ti(Oi-Pr)2(1-HAN)2 (1-HAN=2-hydroxy-1-acetonaphthone), Ti(Oi-Pr)2(2-HAN)2 (2-HAN=1-hydroxy-2-acetonaphthone), Ti(Oi-Pr)2(ACCP)2 (ACCP=2-acetylcyclopentanone), and Ti(Oi-Pr)2(HBP)2 (HBP=2-hydroxybenzophenone) were found to be stable toward moisture and air. Ti(Oi-Pr)2(ACCP)2 and Ti(Oi-Pr)2(HBP)2 were proved to have lower melting points and higher decomposition temperatures. However, these complexes are thermally stable and pyrolysis under an inert atmosphere resulted in incomplete decomposition. Ti(Oi-Pr)2(DPM)2 (DPM=dipivaloylmethane) and Ti(Oi-Pr)2(HFAA)2 (HFAA=hexafluoroacetylacetone) were sublimed substantially during the thermal decomposition. Pyrolysis mechanism of these complexes are dependent on type of β-diketone but removal of Oi-Pr ligands occurs before the decomposition of β-diketonate ligands.

In this study, the praseodymium-doped yttrium phosphate (YPO4:Pr3+) powder, which is well known for its high luminescent efficiency, and long life in the UV range, was synthesized with various content ratios of Pr6O11 and calcination temperature. Crystal structure and luminescent properties of various phosphor powders based on different concentrations and calcination conditions were characterized by XRD (X-Ray Diffraction) and PL (photoluminescence) spectrometers. From the XRD analysis, the structure of YPO4:Pr3+ which is calcinated at 1,200℃ was stable tetragonal phase and crystal size was calculated about 25 nm by Scherrer equation. PL emission of YPO4:Pr3+ with a different content ratio of Pr6O11 by excitation λexc=250 nm shows that 0.75 mol% phosphor powder has maximum PL intensity and PL decreases with the increase of the ratio of Pr6O11 up to 1.25 mol% which is caused by changes of crystallinity of phosphor powders. With increasing dopant ratio, photo-luminescence Emission decreases due to Concentration quenching, which is commonly observed in phosphors. Currently, 0.75 mol% is considered the optimal doping concentration. A hybrid ultraviolet-emitting device incorporating YPO4:Pr3+ fluorescent material with plasma discharge was fabricated to enhance UV germicidal effects while minimizing ozone generation. UV emission from the plasma discharge device was shown at about 200 nm and 350 nm which caused additional emission of the regions of 250 nm, 315 nm, and 370 nm from the YPO4:Pr3+ phosphor.

Metarhizium anisopliae is a widely studied model to understand the virulence factors that participate in pathogenicity. Proteases such as subtilisin-like enzymes (Pr1) and trypsin-like enzymes (Pr2) are considered important factors for insect cuticle degradation. In four M. anisopliae strains (798, 6342, 6345, and 6347), the presence of pr1 and pr2 genes, as well as the enzymatic activity of these genes, was correlated with their virulence against two different insect pests. The 11 pr1 genes (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, and K) and pr2 gene were found in all strains. The activity of individual Pr1 and Pr2 proteases exhibited variation in time (24, 48, 72, and 96 h) and in the presence or absence of chitin as the inductor. The highest Pr1 enzymatic activity was shown by strain 798 at 48 h with chitin. The highest Pr2 enzymatic activity was exhibited by the 6342 and 6347 strains, both grown with chitin at 24 and 48 h, respectively. Highest mortality on S. exigua was caused by strain 6342 at 48 h, and strains 6342, 6345, and 6347 caused the highest mortality 7 days later. Mortality on Prosapia reached 30% without variation. The presence of subtilisin and trypsin genes and the activity of these proteases in M. anisopliae strains cannot be associated with the virulence against the two insect pests. Probably, subtilisin and trypsin enzyme production is not a vital factor for pathogenicity, but its contribution is important to the pathogenicity process.

In this paper, the considered cognitive radio system has a pair of PT-PR and a pair of ST-SR. In first time slot(1 Phase), PT broadcast signal $x_p$ to PR, ST and SR. Then, each receivers(PR, ST, SR) decode received signal $x_p$. In second time slot(2 Phase), ST combine decoded signal ${x_p}^{\prime}$ and signal $x_s$, and it broadcast combined signal to PR and SR. PR and SR decode combined signal. At this time, PR can achieve diversity gain, due to using MRC, it combine 'received and decoded signal ${x_p}^{\prime}$ at 1 phase' and 'detected signal $x_p$ at 2 phase'. SR use linear combining technique and it can obtain $x_s$.
A method to analyze the anisotropy constants of a two sublattice system with uniaxial anisotropy has been investigated by extending the Sucksmith and Thompson's method to higher order anisotropy terms. Using the method, a set of anisotropy constants for Pr-sublattice of $Pr_2Fe_{14}B at 4.2K has been obtained as K_{1Pr}=5210 J/kg, K_{2Pr}=-7200 J/kg, K_{3Pr}=-770 J/kg, K_{4Pr}=4940 J/kg and K_{SPr}=700 J/kg for N_{PrFe}=2.2 T/Am^2kg^{-1}.$ The magnetization calculated by an energy minimum method by using the sublattice anisotropy constants well reproduced the experimental results and satisfied the simulation assumptions.
Bis(phosphine)ruthenium derivatives $({\eta}^5-C_5Me_5)RuCl(PR_3)_2(PR_3=PMe_3,\; PMe_2Ph,\;PEt_3,\;PMePh_2$, 1/2DPPE, 1/2DPPB) (2a${\sim}$2f) have been synthesized by the reaction of $[({\eta}^5-C_5Me_5)RuCl_2]_2$ (1) with excessive phosphine in ethanol. The reaction of complexes $({\eta}^5-C_5Me_5)Ru(PR_3)_2Cl\;with\;NaBH_4$ in ethanol gave the corresponding hydride complexes $({\eta}^5-C_5Me_5)Ru(PR_3)_2H (PR_3=PMe_3, PEt_3, PMePh_2$, 1/2 DPPE, 1/2DPPB) (3a${\sim}$3e). Chloride complexes (2a${\sim}$2f) and hydride complexes (3a${\sim}$3e) were isolated as crystals, which were characterized by IR, $^1H-NMR$ , and elemental analysis.
SrTiO3 :Al, Pr phosphor as an oxide compound phosphor is expect to be applied for a field emission display(FED). In this phosphor the excitation spectrum shows a different tendency according to an addition Al3+ and Pr3+ In this excitation spectrum the main peak at 359 nm represent excitation level of Pr3+(1S0longrightarrow1D2 transition) and the absorption characteristic according to Ti/Sr molar ratio is influenced by the structure symmetry. The emission spectrum exhibits the red luminescence with the radiative decay of the 1D2 states(1D2 longrightarrow3H4 transition) The concentration quenching phenomena at 1D2 state shows up as Al3+ and Pr3+ ion concentration increases.

The I-V characteristics of $ZnO-Pr_6O_{11}-CoO-Dy_2O_3$ based varistors were investigated in the $Pr_6O_{11}/CoO$ composition ratio range of 0.5/0.5 to 1.0/1.0 and sintering temperature range of 1300 to $1350^{\circ}C$ as the basic study to develop the advanced $Pr_6O_{11}$-based ZnO varistors. All varistors except for $Pr_6O_{11}$/CoO = 0.5/1.0 exhibited the best I-V characteristics at $1350^{\circ}C$. However, the varistors with $Pr_6O_{11}$/CoO= 0.5/1.0 exhibited the best I-V characteristics at $1350^{\circ}C$. The varistors with $Pr_6O_{11}$/CoO= 0.5/1.0 of all varistors exhibited the best I-V characteristics, which the nonlinear exponent is 36.9 and the leakage current is 7.6 ${\mu}A$ Therefore, it was estimated that ZnO-$Pr_6O_{11}-CoO-Dy_2O_3$ ceramics with $Pr_6O_{11}$/CoO= 0.5/1.0 will be usefully used as varistor materials in the future.
In prion pathogenesis, the structural conversion of the cellular prion protein $(PrP^c)$ to its abnormal isomer $(PrP^{Sc})$ is believed to be a major event. The susceptibility or resistance to natural sheep scrapie is associated with polymorphisms of host PrP gene (PRNP) at amino acid residues 136, to a lesser extent 154. The 112 residue in ovine PrP displays a natural polymorphism, Methionine to Threonine, which has not been thoroughly investigated. However the cell-free conversion assay showed that ARQ with Thr112 $(T_{112}ARQ)^{1)}$ presents lower convertibility to $PrP^{Sc}$than wild type ARQ $(M_{112}ARQ)$ [1] In this study we generated ovine recombinant PrPs of 112 allelic variants by metal chelate affinity chromatography and cation exchange chromatography. The final purity of the ovine PrP ARQ was more than $95\%$. These variants showed similar immunoreactivity against anti-PrP monoclonal antibodies in Western blot and ELISA. The refolded $M_{112}ARQ$ and $M_{112}ARQ$ presented the secondary structural content to similar extent via CD spectroscopy analysis. The inherited structural features of $M_{112}ARQ$ and $M_{112}ARQ$ under the different biophysical conditions are in the middle of investigation.
We report results of a comparative study of the normal-state and superconducting properties in the GdBa$_2$(Cu$_{2.9}$Al$_{0.1}$)O$_z$ system with substitutions by Pr for the Gd and Ba sites. It is observed that, fur both Pr-doped systems, the superconducting transition temperature(T$_c$) decreases almost linearly with the Pr-content, but Pr at Ba sites results in a faster T$_c$ drop than that of Pr at Gd sites. The thermoelectric power measurements indicate that there is a strong correlation between the T$_c$ and the room temperature value of thermoelectric power. The experimental results are discussed in connection with existing models.
