Development of new ceramics and esthetic needs of patients increase the use of all ceramic restorations. Fractured teeth often need metal post and core as foundation for final restoration. When all ceramic restorations are planned, metal post and core may lead to compromised esthetics because of opacity and gray color of metal post and core. Many techniques have been proposed to solve this problem such as application of an opaque porcelain to the metal core or all ceramic post and core. This study was performed to evaluate effect on color of Empress 2 crown according to various post systems. Color was evaluated by the CIE $L^*a^*b^*$ systems and measured by spectrophotometer (Model CM-3500, Minolta, Japan). Specimens were divided into 4 groups as follows Group 1 : gold cast post specimen + Empress 2 crown specimen Group 2 : application of an opaque porcelain to gold cast post specimen + Empress 2 crown specimen Group 3 : cosmopost specimen + Empress 2 crown specimen Group 4 : In-ceram post specimen + Empress 2 crown specimen. The results obtained as follows, 1. $L^*$ Values showed that group 2, 3, 4 were higher than group 1 with significant difference and group 2, 3, 4 were not significantly different. 2. $a^*$ Values and $b^*$ values also showed that group 2. 3, 4 were higher than group 1 with significant difference and group 2, 3, 4 were not significantly different. 3. ${\Delta}E^* ab$ Values showed that ${\Delta}E^* ab$ 3 was the highest value and ${\Delta}E^* ab$ 5 was the lowest value.

Then, we checked the thermal changes of their point after performing. Results : The following results were obtained ; 1. In CF groups, significant dermatothermal difference between pre and post therapy was not checked, In BU group that continued until post-therapy 1day, in HP group until 1hour, in BV group until 2days. In BUM, HP and BV group, Most dermatothermal difference was checked at post-therapy 1hour, in BU group at post-therapy 1day. 2. At post-therapy 1 hour, significant dermatothermal different between pre and post therapy was checked among BU group, BUM group, HP group and BV group. At post-therapy 1day and 2days, checked among BU group, BUM group and BV group. At post-therapy 7days, not checked among all groups. The group that highest dermatothermal difference were checked is BV group.
Several specimens belonging to the family Bothidae were collected by trawls in Kwangyang Bay and off Kadeok Island in March 1996 and June 1998. These specimens were confirmed to be the post-larvae and juveniles of Laeops kitaharae (Smith and Pope, 1906) that have not been reported in Korea. According to the Amaoka's criterion (1972), four specimens belong to the middle metamorphic post-larval stage, one specimen to the late metamorphic post-larval stage, and two specimens to the juvenile stage. The middle metamorphic post-larval stage can be distinguished from the late metamorphic post-larval stage by the characters such as a notch between foreside of the dorsal fin and dorsal region of the right eye, and greatly elongated second spine of the dorsal fin. In the juvenile stage, the intestine was not externally exposed. However, the early metamorphic post-larval stage was not occurred in this study.

Purpose : This study was performed as follows in order to investigate the effect of presynaptic inhibition mechanism using the transcutaneous electrical stimulation (TES) for global synkinesis (GS) on the post-stroke hemiplegic patients. Methods : The subjects consist of 38 post stroke hemiplegic patients; experiments were performed on thirty patients excluding eight. The experiment was performed on sham group, sensory level stimulation group, and motor level stimulation group for 20 minutes a day 5 times a week for 6 weeks total. We compared the differences in GS levels and walking ability. The measurements were carried out pre, immediated, post 10th, and 20th, for a total of four measurements. Results : The GS level using sEMG found significant differences between groups at the post 10th and post 20th in dorsiflexion, and post 20th in plantarflexion (p<0.05, p<0.01). The motor level group indicated more significant differences when the number of electrical stimulations increased. TUG and 10 m walking test indicated a significant difference at immediated, post 10th, and post 20th. The motor level group showed more significant decreasing tendency than the sensory level group. Conclusion: From these results, electrical stimulation using presynaptic inhibition mechanism of transcutaneous electrical stimulation (TES) had positive effects for walking ability on inhibition of muscle tone in lower extremity. The motor level stimulation group experienced a more significant effect than the sensory level stimulation group. Therefore, the transcutaneous electrical stimulation (TES) is considered to be effective on walking ability increasing through inhibition of muscle tone in lower extremity for rehabilitation of post stroke hemiplegic patients.

Purpose : This study was to evaluate the effect of traditional balance training on balance in older adults. Methods : The subjects of this study were thirty elderly over 65 years old. Thirty subjects ranging aged from 66 to 85($74.0{\pm}5.83$) completed the study and participated three times a week for 5weeks. Subjects were assessed by utilizing two different balance measure : Static standing balance was measured by balance performance monitor(BPM). Dynamic balance was measured by timed up and go test(TUG). The scale for static standing balance was measured by using frequence(Hz), sway area($mm^2$), sway path(mm), max sway velocity(mm/s), ant/post sway angle($^{\circ}$), left/right sway angle($^{\circ}$), and sway number. Results : The change in frequency were statistically significant on pre-test and post-test(P<.05), 2. The change in sway area were statistically significant on pre-test and post-test (P<.05), 3. The change in sway path were statistically significant on pre-test and post-test(P<.05), 4. The change in max sway velocity were statistically significant on pre-test and post-test (P<.05), 5. The change in ant/post sway angle were statistically significant on pre-test and post-test (P<.05), 6. The change in left/right sway angle were statistically significant on pre-test and post-test(P<.05), 7. The change in sway number were statistically significant on pre-test and post-test(P<.05), 8. The score on timed up and go test shows statistically significant increase on pre-test and post-test (P<.05). Conclusion : This study suggest that traditional balance training have an effect on balance performance ability for elderly people. Therefore, the traditional balance training is recommended for older adults to improve balance performance ability.
The purpose of this study was to find the effects of the eccentric exercise induced delayed muscle soreness on proprioception, muscle strength, muscle fatigue, and muscle pain of the elbow flexor muscles. Thirty one healthy male subjects were participated in this study. Before resisted eccentric exercise of the elbow flexors and immediately and at 1, 3, 5, and 7 days post-exercise, pain threshold, proprioception, tension tracking, initial median frequency, and fatigue index were measured. Pain pressure threshold and visual analog scale (VAS) was used to measure muscle pain. Proprioception of the elbow joint was measured by using 3 dimension motion analysis system. Maximum isometric contraction was measured by using digital tensiometer. Electromyography and power spectrum analysis was used to measure initial median frequency (IMF) and fatigue index (FI). Immediately post-exercise, a significant decrease pain threshold was observed that continued to 5 days post-exercise. VAS score was significantly increased at 1 and 3 days post-exercise compared to that of immediately post-exercise. Maximum isometric contraction, IMF, tension tracking ability of the exercised elbow joint were significantly decreased at 1, 3, and 5 days post-exercise compared to that of pre-exercise. FI was significantly increased at 1 and 3 days post-exercise compared that of pre-exercise. Proprioception sense of exercised elbow joint was significantly decreased immediately and at 1, 3, and 5 days post-exercise compared to that of pre-exercise. Proprioception sense of the contralateral elbow joint was significantly decreased immediately post-exercise compared to that of pre-exercise. However, proprioception sense that was measured in close chain kinematic position was not significantly difference between pre-exercise and post-exercise. These results could be useful to determine the resume time for exercising and participating sports activities.
The purpose of this study is research on the characteristics of post-modernism expressed on western hair styles in the late 20th century. Therefore this thesis analyzed the relationship of modernism & the hair styles of that mage and post-modernism & the hair styles of that mage. That will re-illuminate the same beauty worth of same age as to accurate the concept of post-modernism & the hair styles of that mage. And the last, criticizing the post-modernism design and that hair design, helping to find new trends. The method of this study was the literature research & analysis of visual materials focus on upper bust image that can know the relationship of modernism & the hair styles of that mage, and post-modernism & the hair styles of that mage. First, the literature research is composed of analysis of theses, magazines on art, clothing and cosmetology having the contents of 20th century western culture, art and hair styles. Second, the analysis of visual materials is composed of analysis of video films, slide films and photographs of books, magazines, and internet home-pages. Modern western hair styles, appeared after 1910's, is represented as a short cut & permanent wave. That express experimentalism, functionalism, and purism, that is same as the other art's trend of same age. Post-modern western hair styles, appeared after 1960's, also show the same trend with same age's. This summarized & characterized 8 categories; historical method, pluralism, negotiation, escape from the formality, recovery of humanity, ornament, connection with race, metaphor & symbolism. But post-modernism concentrating pluralism makes easy making low quality art and absence of criticism, so this thesis criticised it 5 categories; absence of ideas, absence of the social sense of responsibility, lost of one's characteristics, decline of skills, decline of worth of usages.

It is common for clinicians to encounter endodontically tl·treated teeth that contain posts within their roots. If endodontic treatment is failed, these posts must be removed to facilitate successful nonsurgical retreatment. There have been many techniques such as ultrasonic instrument, Ruddle post removal system, Eggler post remover and Masserann kit developed to facilitate removal of posts from the root canal space. But these methods may be disadvantageous because long length of time required for post removal and fracture of post or teeth. In now days new post removal technique using ATD automatic bridge remover was introduced. Advantages of this method are simple and short time consuming compare to others. This article served as a successful case report of post removal using ATD automatic bridge remover.
To study the mechanical behavior depended on the restoration method and alveolar bone height at endodontically treated teeth. a finite element model was made which was applied by four types of restoration methods and alveolar bone height on upper central incisor and then 1 Kg force was applied on each model as follows; 1) $45^{\circ}$ diagonal load on incisal edge. 2) $26^{\circ}$ diagonal load on lingual surface. and 3) horizontal load on labial surface. The author analyzed the displacement and stress of teeth and their supporting tissue by finite element method according to three type of loading conditions. The results were as follows : 1. The displacement by restoration method and the stress in dentin was found greater in restoration without a post than in that with a post. 2. The displacement and stress was found about the same when compared : A) in Resin model and PFM model applied by restoration method without a post and B) in PRC model and CPC model applied by restoration method with a post. 3. The lower alveolar bone height was. the greater was the displacement and stress. 4. The lower alveolar bone height was. the greater slightly was the stress of restoration without a post than in that with a post. 5. The stress in loading condition was the greatest in P1 in dentin and post. and was greatest in P3 in alveolar hone. 6. In the restoration method without a post. stress concentration in labial dentin was distributed to a figure of long belt in adjacent part to periodontal ligament. while in restoration method with a post. it was distributed in adjacent part to post side. And in all types of restoration method stress concentration in alveolar bone was distributed along the compact bone of labial and lingual surface.
