  • Fast analysis method for calculating the radiation pattern of offset dual reflector antenna are presented. The validity of proposed method was verified by comparing with results of PO/PO, GO/PO, and the equivalent paraboloid method. Proposed method is the series expansion method using the Zernike polynomials. The calculated results by using the Zernike polynomials are in good agreement with obtained results by GO/PO and equivalent paraboloid method except PO/PO.

  • This paper proposes the method which is improved a performance of PO MPPT control in PV system. The PO method is continually changed voltage toward direction that increases power, and if output power is decreased by changing voltage, a power of the conventional PO method is changed to a power before one step. These operations causes reduce of MPPT performance. Therefore, this paper proposes the MPPT method that can be improved the performance of the conventional PO method. When voltage is changed to direction of reducing power, the method proposed in this paper is changed to the voltage the opposite direction of twice step size. The MPPT performance of proposed method in this paper is compared with conventional PO method and proved the validity of this paper using these results.

  • A method is described for the determination of the Po nuclides in a water sample. After the Po nuclides were purified from interfering elements in a water sample using a manganese dioxide precipitation followed by a solvent extraction method, the Po nuclides were deposited onto the silver plate. A large volume of the water sample was effectively pretreated with manganese dioxide precipitation method. To determine the optimum conditions for plating Po, the effects of the pH, volume, temperature and time on the Po deposition were investigated in hydrochloric acid solution. The investigated determination method of Po nuclides with solvent extraction was applied to a tap water sample.

  • Poly (sodium 4-styrenesulfonate) (PSS) is ionomer based on polystyrene that is electrical conductivity and isoviscosity. LiFePO4 has been a promising electrode material however its poor conductivity limits practical application. To enhance the electronic conductivity of LiFePO4, in this study we prepared LiFePO4- PSS composite by the hydrothermal method. LiFePO4 was heated at $170^{\circ}C$ for 12h and then different wt% PSS (0%, 2.91%, 4.75%, 7.36%, 10%) are added to LiFePO4 and milled at 300rpm for 10h. And then the obtained powders were subsequently heated at $500^{\circ}C$ for 1h under argon flow. The cathode electrode were made from mixtures of LiFePO4-PSS: SP-270- PVDF in a weighting ratio 75%: 25%:5%. The electrochemical properties of LiFePO4- PSS/Li batteries were analyzed by cyclic voltammetry and charge/discharge tests. LiFePO4-C/Li battery with 4.75 wt% PSS displays discharge capacity of 128 mAh g-1 at room temperature that is considerably higher than pure LiFePO4/Li battery ( 113.48 mAhg-1).

  • In this study, we prepared $LiFePO_4$- poly (sodium 4-styrenesulfonate) (PSS) composite by the hydrothermal method and ball-milling process. Different wt% PSS were added to $LiFePO_4$. The cathode electrodes were made from mixtures of $LiFePO_4$-PSS: SP-270: PVDF in a weighting ratio of 70%: 25%: 5%. $LiFePO_4$-PSS powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The electrochemical properties of $LiFePO_4$-PSS/Li batteries were analyzed by cyclic voltammetry, charge/discharge tests, and AC impedance spectroscopy. A Li/$LiFePO_4$-PSS battery with 4.75 wt% PSS shows the best electrochemical properties, with a discharge capacity of 128 mAh/g.

  • The brand new type of mobile terminal services are kept being introduced in accordance with the development of mobile communication technology. Among many kinds of mobile application services, the PoC application standard which is using instant messaging service and group calls method with the existing walkie-talkie technology has been finished as the version 1.0 after tremendously active discussion and is being continued to be confirmed as 2.0 and 2.1. The PoC Box, which is discussed for replacing the PoC client and intermediate object as a voice messaging box, is currently being introduced and the biggest issues for PoC Box technology topics include the part of saved informations' processing and effective multimedia contents' transmission in the PoC Box system. In this research, we propose that the PaC client could effectively transmit the media to the end-user by specifying the playback location or range, focusing on the contents and the methods of dynamic controlling for saved media in PoC Box. This paper deals with the way of dynamic controlling method using the RTSP which is appropriate for PoC Box and the effective method for generation, expression, processing of various multimedia contents including audio and video objects.

  • This paper proposes the maximum power point tracking(MPPT) control of photovoltaic system using fuzzy based variable step size perturbation & observation(FVSS-PO) method. Conventional PO and incremental conductance(IC)MPPT control algorithm generally uses fixed step size. A small fixed step size will cause the tracking speed to decrease and tracking accuracy of the MPP will decrease due to large fixed step size. Therefore, the fixed step size can't be satisfying both the tracking speed and the tracking accuracy. This paper proposes FVSS-PO MPPT algorithm that adjusts automatically step size of PO by fuzzy control according to operating conditions. The validity of MPPT algorithm proposed in this paper prove through compare with conventional PO MPPT algorithm.

  • This paper proposes a novel maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control algorithm considering radiation to improve efficiency of PV system. The proposed algorithm is composed perturb and observe (PO) method and constant voltage (CV) method. PO method is simple to realize and CV method is possible to tracking MPP with low radiation. Response characteristics of proposed algorithm are compared to conventional MPPT algorithm such as PO method, IC method and CV method with radiation variation. This paper proves the validity of proposed algorithm through the analysis results.

  • This study aimed to develop fashion designs by applying the PO (Provocative Operation) method as a 3D virtual clothing program and to derive the PO application method in fashion design. The first T-shirt design was presented as an existing thinking method, and the second design was developed by applying escape, reversal, exaggeration, distortion, and hopeful thinking techniques, which are techniques for 'provocation' of the PO method, to the first design. Thus, 18 T-shirt designs were developed as 3D virtual clothing, with 3 sets of 6 designs, including the 1st and 2nd designs. The method of using the 'provocation' techniques of the PO method in the development of fashion design derived from this was as follows. First, the 'escape' technique was designed in such a way that a part of the detail or structure was deleted, or a part of the structure or expression element of another item was applied. Second, the 'inversion' technique was expressed by inverting the position or shape of a detail or structure up, down, left, and right; fitting the structural detail or reversing the shape; or converting the structure and form. Third, the 'exaggeration' technique exaggerated the size, length, and volume of a structure's form or detail. Fourth, the 'distortion' technique was expressed as a distortion of lines or shapes or a visual distortion using the Trompe l'oeil technique. Fifth, the 'hopeful thinking' technique was developed and expressed from the idea of an hypothetical 'if' it was absurd, irrational, and unrealistic.
