  • PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) current control is a most inner loop of electromechanical driving systems and it plays a foundation role in the hierarchy's control loop of several mechanical machine systems. In this paper, a simple RMRAC control scheme for the PMSM is proposed in the synchronous frame. In the synchronous current model, the input signal is composed of as a calculated voltage by adaptive laws and system disturbances. The gains of feed-forward and feed-back controller are estimated by the proposed e-modification methods respectively, where the disturbances are assumed as filtered current tracking errors. After the estimation of the disturbances from the tracking errors, the corresponding voltage is fed forward to control input to compensate for the disturbances. The proposed method is robust to high frequency disturbances and has a fast dynamic response to time varying reference current trajectory. It also shows a good real-time performance duo to it's simplicity of control structure. Through the simulations considering several cases of external disturbances and experimental results, efficiency of the proposed method is verified

  • The washing machine needs high torque for large load variation, Interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM) is proper to adapt the washing machine system. However, IPMSM can operate the lower output power than the other permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) when the motor control by the conventional control. This paper suggests adaptive motor control for IPMSM and experiments the washing machine system.

  • In many industrial applications that use the electric motors robust controllers are needed. The method using a neural network in order to design a robust controller when a disturbance occurs is studied. Backpropagation algorithm, which is used in a conventional neural network controller is used in many areas, but when the number of neurons in the input layer, hidden layer and output layer of the neural network increases the processing speed of the learning process is slow. In this paper an adaptive PI(Proportional and Integral) controller based on CTRNN(Continuous Time Recurrent Neural Network) for permanent magnet synchronous motors is presented. By varying the load and the speed the validity of the proposed method is verified through simulation and experiments.

  • 본 논문에서는 PMSM에서 단위 전류당 최대 토크를 발생시키는 MTPA(Maximum Torque Per Ampere)제어에 기반한 센서리스 V/f 운전 기법을 제안한다. 기존의 센서리스 V/f 운전에서는 MTPA 제어가 고려되지 않아 구동 효율이 감소하는데 본 논문에서는 d축 전류를 기반으로 비례적분기 제어기를 사용하여 개선하였다. 또한 부하 변동에 대한 우수한 동특성과 안정성을 갖도록 하였다. 250W 블로워용 PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor)에 대한 실험을 통해 그 효용성을 확인하였다.

  • 전동기를 설계 시 자기등가회로법은 전동기의 세부 형상에 크게 구애를 받지 않기 때문에, 공간고조파법과 수치해석기법에 비해 유용하다. 이 논문에서는 Spoke type PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor)의 회전자 자기등가회로를 설계하였다. 회전자 자기등가회로를 통해, 마그네틱 토크 성분을 구성하는 공극자속밀도 수식을 이끌어 낼 수 있다. 이를 통해, Spoke type PMSM은 마그네틱 토크가 주 토크이기 때문에, 공극 자속밀도 및 형상치수비를 이용하여 전동기의 크기를 계산하였다.

Suppression Method for Torque Ripple of PM Synchronous Motor

  • A new modified trapezoidal modulating signal for a pulse width modulation (PWM) inverter suitable for a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive is proposed in this paper. A new modulating signal for the PMSM drive is determined by the characteristic torque ripple of the motor with various electro-motive force (EMF). The proposed modulating signal is able to decrease the torque ripple even if the motor has sinusoidal EMF or non-sinusoidal EMF. By using the proposed modulating signal, the system reduced the torque ripple as well as achieved the effective utilization of the DC supply voltage for the inverter. Many improvements are accomplished by the PWM strategy adapting the modified trapezoidal modulating signal without a change in hardware.

PMSM Servo Drive for V-Belt Continuously Variable Transmission System Using Hybrid Recurrent Chebyshev NN Control System

  • Because the wheel of V-belt continuously variable transmission (CVT) system driven by permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) has much unknown nonlinear and time-varying characteristics, the better control performance design for the linear control design is a time consuming job. In order to overcome difficulties for design of the linear controllers, a hybrid recurrent Chebyshev neural network (NN) control system is proposed to control for a PMSM servo-driven V-belt CVT system under the occurrence of the lumped nonlinear load disturbances. The hybrid recurrent Chebyshev NN control system consists of an inspector control, a recurrent Chebyshev NN control with adaptive law and a recouped control. Moreover, the online parameters tuning methodology of adaptive law in the recurrent Chebyshev NN can be derived according to the Lyapunov stability theorem and the gradient descent method. Furthermore, the optimal learning rate of the parameters based on discrete-type Lyapunov function is derived to achieve fast convergence. The recurrent Chebyshev NN with fast convergence has the online learning ability to respond to the system's nonlinear and time-varying behaviors. Finally, to show the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme, comparative studies are demonstrated by experimental results.

FPGA를 이용한 영구자석 동기 전동기 벡터 제어기의 구현 (Implementation of Vector Controller for PMSM Using FPGA)

  • 고성능 DSP 또는 마이크로프로세서를 통해 구현되던 벡터제어를 프로그램이 가능한 소자인 FPGA를 통해 하드웨어로 구현하였다. 이를 위해 벡터제어 알고리즘을 구성하는 제어 블록들을 VHDL을 통해 모듈화 하고, 모듈화한 벡터제어 알고리즘을 FPGA에 프로그래밍 하여 하드웨어 벡터제어기를 구현하였다. 그리고 하드웨어 벡터제어기의 성능을 검증하기 위해 영구자석 동기 전동기 구동을 위한 벡터제어 시스템을 구성하고, 소프트웨어 기반 벡터제어 시스템과 벡터제어 알고리즘 연산시간 및 성능에 대한 비교연구를 수행하였다.

속도 리플 억제를 위한 수정된 PID 속도 제어기의 설계 (Design of the Modified PID Speed Controller to Reduce the Speed Ripple)

  • PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) has periodic torque ripple from the cogging torque and load conditions. This paper proposes the modified PID speed controller to reduce the speed ripple of the PMSM. The proposed modified PID controller uses a selective D(Differential) control term according to the speed error and the differential of the speed error. The proposed speed controller produces an additional torque reference such as torque compensator based on PI controller according to the speed error and the differential of the speed error, and it can reduce the vibration of the conventional D-control term with reduced speed ripple. Since the additional torque reference of the proposed speed controller is changed by the sign of the speed error and the differential of the speed error, a simple function to determine the sign of the error is used to produce the compensated torque. The proposed control scheme is verified by the computer simulation and the experiments.

  • 공진형 인버터의 직류 링크단의 전압 상승을 직류 공급 전압 이내로 제한하고, 공진형 인덕터의 전류 내량을 줄이기 위한 간단한 전압 억제형 공진형 인버터를 제안하였다. 이 전압 인버터를 영구 자석형 동기 전동기(PMSM)에 적용하여 이산 펄프 제어 방법중의 하나인 예측형 전류 제어 방법에 의해 실험과 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안된 인버터의 동작을 보이고, 그 결과를 CRDM(Current Regulated Delta Modulation)방법에 의한 결과와 비교하였다.
