The Effects of Composite Laminate Layups on Nonlinear Buckling Behavior Using a Degenerated Shell Element (퇴화 쉘 요소를 사용한 적층복합재의 증분형 비선형 좌굴 현상 및 적층 레이업 효과)

  • Laminate composites have a number of excellent characteristics in aspects of strength, stiffness, bending, and buckling. Buckling and postbuckling analysis of laminate composites with layups of [90/0]2s, $[{\pm}45/90/0]s$, $[{\pm}45]2s$ has been carried using the Total Lagrangian nonlinear Newton-Raphson method. The formulation of a geometrically nonlinear composite shell element based on a nonlinear large deformation method is presented. The used element is an eight-node degenerated shell element with six degrees of freedom. Square, circular cylinder, and arch panel laminate geometries were analyzed to verify the effects of the layups on the buckling and postbuckling behavior. The results showed that the effects of laminate layups on bucking and postbuckling behavior and the present formulation showed very good agreement with existing references.

  • This paper presents a optimum design process for static torque characteristics of the Claw-Poles PM Stepping Motor(CPSM). Since the shape of CPSM changes along with axial direction, CPSM should only be analyzed by 3D-FEM. But 3D-FEM needs too much computation time and computer resources. Therefore, it is essential to reduce the number of 3D-FEM analysis models. In this paper, two design factors which affect the static torque characteristics of CPSM were selected. Optimum design process was able to make progress by using Pattern Search Algorithm and 3D-FEM. Finally, optimized model was compared with a conventional model.

  • The initial sintering behaviour of the powder injection molded (PIMed) W-l5wt%Cu nanocomposite powder was investigated. The W-Cu nanocomposite powder was produced by the mechanochemical process consisting of high energy ball-milling and hydrogen reduction of W blue powder-CuO mixture. Solid state sintering of the powder compacts was conducted at $1050^{\circ}C$ for 2~10 hours in hydrogen at mosphere. The sintering behaviour was examined and discussed in terms of microstructural developments such as W-Cu aggregate formation, pore size distribution and W grain growth. The volume shrinkage of PIM specimen was slightly larger than that of PM(conventional PM specimen), being due to fast local densification in the PIM. Remarkable decrease of carbon and oxygen in the PIM enhanced local densification in the early stage of solid state sintering process with eliminating very fine pores less than 10 nm. In addition, such local densiflcation in the PIM is presumably responsible for mitigating of W-grain growth in the initial stage.

  • In this paper, stability of initial strength at solder joint with lead free solders, such as Sn-In (52-48%) and Sn-Ag (96.5-3.5wt%) was studied. To obtain at solder joint with high quality, it is very important to control the temperature at the interface of solder joints. It is found that the thermal EMF (electro motive force) occurs betwee lead frame and copper pad on a substrate during reflow soldering process using heated tip. As a result of control the temperature at interface of solder joints, variation of initial strength at solder joint decreases from about $\pm40%$ to $\pm20%$, and it is realized Pb free soldering process using Sn/In and Sn-Ag solder paste.

  • Vehicle clutch measurement for disc cushion variation was developed for the production of high quality Dual clutch transmissions. The developed device is composed of load cells for load measurement and LVDT for measuring the distance variation measurement in cushion variation. The servo motor-driven electric press for flexible loads that was developed was controlled by a PC-based HMI system, LabVIEW, and the device was able to continuously record real time measurement data with the accuracies of ${\pm}0.1\;kgf$ load and ${\pm}5{\mu}m$ cushion amount, which is far above the requirements of commercial vehicle standards.

  • We once have announced that we developed a horizontal large-area alignment system with an alignment accuracy of < ${\pm}3{\mu}m$ and an alignment time of < 30 seconds, a core process module for RGB direct pattering by using a fine metal mask, which can process a Gen 4 ($730{\times}920mm^2$) substrate for high resolution OLED products. In this article, we presents a brand-new vertical alignment system for a even larger substrate of Gen 5 and beyond which can provide a better alignment accuracy and a higher throughput. The newly developed system exhibits an alignment accuracy of < ${\pm}2{\mu}m$ and an alignment time of < 20 seconds which, we believe, can open a new era for manufacturing large-size OLED monitors and TVs.

  • It's became essential that Korea construction companies should enter into the overseas construction market for their growth and sustainability. In order to comply with the client's required global standard and to compete with in the international market, the shifting the construction project management system to global level is required. In accordance with the demand, this paper proposes the top-level document of construction project management system as a to-be model that utilized in overseas construction projects. The project management plan ("PMP") suggested in this paper is not only the most appropriate one, which complies with the global standard, to be used when companies bid for international construction projects against foreign competitors but also has the process modeling and hierarchical structure.

  • There is an increasing interest in high-performance A/D(Analog-to-Digital) converters for use in integrated analog and digital mixed processing systems. Pipeline A/D converter architectures coupled with BiCMOS process technology have the potential for realizing monolithic high-speed and high-accuracy A/D converters. In this paper, the design of 12bit pipeline BiCMOS A/D converter presented. A BiCMOS operational amplifier and comparator suitable for use in the pipeline A/D converter. Test/simulation results of the circuit blocks and the converter system are presented. The main features is low distortion track-and-hold with 0-300MHz input bandwidth, and a proprietary 12bit multi-stage quantizer. Measured value is DNL=${\pm}$0.30LSB, INL=${\pm}$0.52LSB, SNR=66dBFS and SFDR=74dBc at Fin=24.5MHz. Also Fabricated on 0.8um BiCMOS process.

  • With the onging trend of weight saving in automobiles, the application of light alloys is increasing. Recently, aluminum powder metallurgy has been the subject of renewed attention due to the combination of lightweight of aluminium and the efficient material utilisation of the powder metallurgical process, which offer attractive benefits to potential end-users. This study is to explore the use of warm compaction process to aluminium powder metallurgy. This paper presents a detailed study of the effect of warm compression and sintering conditions on the resultant microstructures and mechanical properties of Al-Cu-Mg-Si PM blend.

  • We have studied the temperature dependence of the $^{1}H$ NMR spin-lattice relaxation for the impure $CuF_{2}.2H_{2}O$ over a temperature range from 77 K to room temperature. We find that the remperature dependence of the $^{1}H$ spin-lattice relaxation is dominated by the eletron spin-flip and the Raman process of eletron spin-lattice relaxation. The electron spin-flip exchange energy was calculated to be $1.8(\pm0.04)$ K.
