  • (Ba$_{0.6}$Sr$_{0.4}$)TiO$_3$(BST) thin films were fabricated with different deposition temperature by Pulsed Laser Deposition(PLD). This BST thin films showed a maximum dielectric constant value of $\varepsilon$$_{r}$=~684 and dielectric loss was ~0.01 when substrate temperature was 75$0^{\circ}C$. Charge storage density of BST thin film was 4.733 [$\mu$C/$\textrm{cm}^2$] and estimated charging time was 0.15 nsec. Leakage current density of BST thin film was below 10$^{-7}$ [A/$\textrm{cm}^2$] at 3V. 3V.V.

  • This paper presents a PLD design of Gray Mode Graphic STN LCD drive circuit using PC interface. The proposed LCD drive circuit doesn\`t use microprocessor for the convenience of users. Thus, the LCD drive circuit can transfer efficiently image data created under PC to LCD. The LCD drive circuit which is modelled in schematic capture, AHDL and VHDL is simulated in functionally through the use of ALTERA MAX+PLUS II. Also, timing simulation is performed by ALTERA EPM7192SQC160-15 PLD implementation. The PC interface part have been programmed in MS-Visual C++ 6.0. The validity and efficiency of the proposed LCD drive circuit have been verified by test board. After comparing this LCD drive circuit to specify it was verified that the developed LCD drive circuit showed good performances, such as convenience of users, low cost.

  • We developed a pulsed laser deposition(PLD) apparatus for depositing various thin films. In this study, the formation of $NbS_2$ thin film was performed in the vacuum chamber by PLD method. $Al_2O_3$(012) and Si(111) were used as the substrates. In order to investigate the growth conditions of a high crystalline $NbS_2$ thin film, the S/Nb composition ratio was varied from 2.0 to 5.25 and the substrate temperature was varied from the room temperature to $600^{\circ}C$. From the result of X-ray diffraction studies of the prepared $NbS_2$ thin films, it was reported that the $NbS_2$, thin film showed a good crystallinity at substrate temperature $600^{\circ}C$ and with S/Nb composition ratio 4.0 on $Al_2O_3$(012) but did not on Si(111). The films exhibited c-axis orientation.

  • Enzymatic conversion of brain glycosylphosphatidylinositol-linked alkaline phosphatase (GPI-AP), amphiphilic, was examined. When GPI-AP was incubated with glycosylphosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase D (GPI-PLD), a negligible conversion of GPI-AP to hydrophilic form was observed. The inclusion of monoacylglycerols enhanced the enzymatic conversion, although the action of monoacylglycerols differed greatly according to the size of acyl group; the enzymatic conversion was enhanced considerably in the presence of monoacylglycerols possessing acyl group of longer chain length ($C_{10-}C_{18}$), which monoacylglycerols with acyl moiety of shorter length ($C_{4-}C_{8}$) did fail to augment the enzymatic conversion. Noteworthy, monooleoylglycerol was much more effective than the other monoacylglycerols in promoting the enzymatic conversion, indicating a beneficial role of the unsaturation in acyl chain. Meanwhile, ionic amphiphiles such as monohexadecyllysophosphatidylcholoine and palmitoyl-carnitine decreased the enzymatic conversion of GPI-AP in a concentration-dependent manner, with monohexadecyllysophosphatidylcholine and palmitoyl-carnitine deceased the enzymatic conversion of GPI-AP in a concentration-dependent manner, with monohexadecyllysophosphatidylcholoine being more inhibitory than palmitoylcarnitine. Separately when GPI-AP was exposed to various oxidants prior to the incubation with GPI-PLD, a remarkable decrease of the enzymatic conversion was observed with hypochlorite and peroynitrite generators, but not $H_{2}O_{2}$. In further study, hypochlorite was found to inactivate GPI-PLD at low concentrations ($3~100{\mu}M$). From these results, it is suggested that the enzymatic conversion of GPI-AP by GPI-PLD may be regulated in vivo system.
