  • Vision system is an object recognition system analyzing image information captured through camera. Vision system can be applied to various fields, and vehicle recognition is ole of them. There have been many proposals about algorithm of vehicle recognition. But have complex calculation processing. So they need long processing time and sometimes they make problems. In this research we suggested vehicle type recognition system using vision bpx based on embedded platform. As a result of testing this system achieves 100% rate of recognition at the optimal condition. But when condition is changed by lighting, noise and angle, rate of recognition is decreased as pattern score is lowered and recognition speed is slowed.

  • Ground firing test facility and test field for firing test of hybrid rocket engine were constructed. Ground firing test facility were composed of hybrid rocket engine, thrust stand, oxidizer storage/supply system, control system and data acquisition system. Firing tests of thrust 50 kgf class were conducted. Stable performance data was obtained and operational reliability of ground firing test facility were found.

  • 본 논문에서는 Flow 모니터링 및 제어, Graph 출력, Test, History 등의 기능을 제공하는 연소기 제어 시스템을 설계하고 구현한다. Flow 모니터링 및 제어 기능은 각 채널의 현재 유량을 표시하고, 제어할 수 있다. Graph 출력 기능은 현재 채널의 상태를 그래프로 나타낸다. Test는 현재 구성된 환경이 정상적으로 동작하는지 시험하는 기능을 제공하며, Setting은 각 채널의 채널명, Point set, Range, 허용오차를 설정한다. 그리고 History는 저장된 데이터를 읽어와 Error기록, 사용자에 의해 저장된 데이터, 24시간마다 자동 저장되는 데이터를 그래프로 표시해 준다. 본 논문에서 제안한 연소기 제어 시스템을 이용해서 실제 유량을 측정한 결과, 정확한 유량의 측정을 할 수 있었다.

Extract of Malus sieboldii Suppresses IgE-mediated Mast Cell Activation through Inhibition of Syk Kinase (아그배나무(Malus sieboldii)의 IgE 매개성 알레르기 반응 억제 효과 및 기전)

  • Malus sieboldii is a dicotyledonous plant that grows widely in Jeju Island and Ganghwa Island in Korea. Malus sieboldii has been known as a detoxifying and antioxidant plant, but study on allergic diseases is not known. In this study, we investigated the effect of Malus sieboldii extract (MSE) on the activation of mast cells, which is well known to be a critical causative cell to induce allergic diseases. As a result of our experiments, MSE inhibited the degranulation and inflammatory cytokine secretion from mast cells by antigen stimulation. As the mechanism of MSE in mast cells, it inhibited the activation of Syk kinase, a essential signaling protein activated by antigen, and further inhibited activation of $PLC{\gamma}$ and MAP kinase(P38, ERK1/2, and JNK). Furthermore, in vivo animal studies showed that MSE significantly inhibited IgE-mediated passive cutaneous anaphylaxis and passive systemic anaphylaxis in a dose-dependent manner. Taken together, the results of this study showed for the first time that MSE inhibited IgE-mediated allergic responses by suppressing Syk kinase in mast cells. Therefore, it could be considered that MSE is worth developing as an anti-allergic material.

Development of Hardware for Controlling Abnormal Temperature in PCS of Photovoltaic System (태양광발전시스템의 PCS에서 이상 온도 제어를 위한 하드웨어개발)

  • This paper is purposed to develop hardware for controlling abnormal temperature that can occur environment and component itself in PCS. In order to be purpose, the hardware which is four part(sensing, PLC, monitoring and output) keep detecting temperature for critical components of PCS and can control the abnormal temperature. Apply to the hardware, it is selected to PV power generation facilities of 20 kW in Cheong-ju city and measured the data for one year in 2017. Through the temperature data, it is found critical components of four(discharge resistance, DC capacitor, IGBT, DSP board) and entered the setting value for operating the fan. The setting values for operating the fan are up to $130^{\circ}C$ in discharge resistance, $60^{\circ}C$ in DC capacitor, $55^{\circ}C$ in IGBT and DSP board. The hardware is installed at the same PCS(20 kW in Cheong-ju city) in 2018 and the power generation output is analyzed for the five days with the highest atmospheric temperature(Clear day) in July and August in 2017 and 2018 years. Therefore, the power generation output of the PV system with hardware increased up to 4 kWh.

  • In this paper, through the development of a smart panel (LCD kiosk) controller, contents to develop a system that can be operate in a desired environment by operating the window control and ventilation facilities according to the automatic controller operation based on the set values such as temperature, humidity, sunlight, and rainfall. In particular, the MQTT protocol-based sensor module can be directly manufactured and applied at any time based on various communication and power sources such as wireless, wired, and PLC (power line communication) to obtain the desired data, as well as fire, power failure, and intrusion in the house. It is also a system that enables operation and monitoring from a remote location based on the cloud environment by connecting sensors. Kiosks are currently being used in many places, and the demand for them is on the rise, and an active influx of young people can be expected through environmental improvement. It is expected to increase interest and understanding for improvement.

  • Transient receptor potential canonical (TRPC) channels are non-selective calcium-permeable cation channels. It is suggested that TRPC4β is regulated by phospholipase C (PLC) signaling and is especially maintained by phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2). In this study, we present the regulation mechanism of the TRPC4 channel with PIP2 hydrolysis which is mediated by a channel-bound PLCδ1 but not by the GqPCR signaling pathway. Our electrophysiological recordings demonstrate that the Ca2+ via an open TRPC4 channel activates PLCδ1 in the physiological range, and it causes the decrease of current amplitude. The existence of PLCδ1 accelerated PIP2 depletion when the channel was activated by an agonist. Interestingly, PLCδ1 mutants which have lost the ability to regulate PIP2 level failed to reduce the TRPC4 current amplitude. Our results demonstrate that TRPC4 self-regulates its activity by allowing Ca2+ ions into the cell and promoting the PIP2 hydrolyzing activity of PLCδ1.

Induction of Apoptotic Cell Death by Healthful Decoction Utilizing Phellinus Linteus in Human Lung Carcinoma Cells (상황을 이용한 보건기능 개선제의 인체폐암세포 apoptosis 유발에 관한 연구)

  • In the present study, we investigated the effects of aqueous extract of the healthful decoction utilizing Phellinus linteus (HDPL) on the cell growth of human lung carcinoma tumor cell line A549. Exposure of A549 cells to HDPL resulted in growth inhibition and induction of apoptosis in a dose-dependent manner as measured by hemocytometer counts, fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometric analysis. This increase in apoptosis was associated with inhibition and/or degradation of apoptotic target proteins such as poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP), b-catenin and phospholipase C- 1 (PLC- 1) protein. HDPL treatment induced the down-regulation of anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 expression, an anti-apoptotic gene, however, the level of Bax. a pro-apoptotic gene, was increased by HDPL treatment. In addition, HDPL-induced apoptotis of A549 cells was connected with activation of caspase-3 and caspase-9 protease in a dose-dependent manner, however, the levels of inhibitor of apoptosis proteins family were remained unchanged. Taken together, these results indicated that the anti-proliferative effects of HDPL were associated with the induction of apoptotic cell death through regulation of several major growth regulatory gene products such as Bcl-2 family expression and caspase protease activity, and HDPL may have therapeutic potential in human lung cancer.

  • Automation of production in modern manufacturing is based on the integration of the various stage of production process by means of processing system. Information processing and network interface are of fundamental importance in programmable device in industrial automation, as they essential in order to active integration in production lines. In this paper, TBC(token bus controller) in the Mini-MAP board performs the function of the MAC sublayer, The LLC sublayer is implemented according to the specification of Class 3 that includes Type 1 and 3. And the MMS services are designed within the scope of implementation MAP 3.0 All the softwares are implemented under the real time executive for real time application of the Mini-MAP and they are loaded into PROMs at the network board. We tested the LLC functions to make use of a protocol analyzer for the token bus protocol. Also the MMS conformance test was carried out by exchanging primitives between a model system(including NIU) and a MMS product that had already passed the conformance the conformance test based on measurement method of network analysis.

Anti-proliferative and Pro-apoptic Effects of Dan-Seon-Tang in Human Leukemia Cells (인체 혈구암세포에 대한 단선탕(丹仙湯) 추출물의 증식억제 및 세포사멸 유도에 관한 연구)

  • Objectives : This study investigated the biochemical mechanisms of anti-proliferative and pro-apoptotic effects of the water extract of Dan-Seon-Tang (DST) in human leukemia U937 cells. Methods : U937 cells were exposed to DST and growth inhibition was measured by MTT assay. Results : Exposure of U937 cells to DST resulted in the growth inhibition in a concentration-dependent manner. This inhibitory effect was associated with morphological changes and apoptotic cell death such as formation of apoptotic bodies, increased populations of apoptotic-sub G1 phase and induction of DNA fragmentation. The induction of apoptotic cell death in U937 cells by DST was associated with up-regulation of death receptor 4 (DR4) and down-regulation of Bid, surviving and cellular inhibition of apoptosis protein-2 (cIAP-2) expression. DST treatment also induced the proteolytic activation of caspase-3, caspase-8 and caspase-9, and a concomitant degradation of caspase-3 substrate proteins such as poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP), phospholipase (PLC)-${\gamma}1$, ${\beta}$-catenin and DNA fragmentation factor 45/inhibotor of caspase activated DNAse (DFF45/ICAD). Furthermore, apoptotic cell death by DST was significantly inhibited by caspase-3 specific inhibitor z-DEVD-fmk, demonstrating the important role of caspase-3. Conclusions : These findings suggest that herb prescription DST may be a potential chemotherapeutic agent for the control of human leukemia U937 cells; further study is needed to identify the active compounds.
