  • In recent years, the remarkable development of communication network technology with the increasing demand of B-ISDN service helps the higg-speed ATM network to be applied a fully integrated global network. The considerable issue of high-speed communication network is a performance of service-link and stability of network queue. In this paper, we propose a feedback control algorithm and PID control method to improve the performance of service-link and stability of network queue and confirm upgraded traffic performance of the high-speed ATM network.

  • The marine diesel engine have been widely applied with a mechanical hydraulic governor to control the ship speed for long time. But it was recently very difficult for the mechanical hydraulic governor to control the speed of engine under the condition of low speed and low load because of jiggling by rough fluctuation of rotating torque and hunting by dead time of diesel engine. In order to analyze the speed control system the transfer function was converted from z to w transformation. The author proposed velocity control system with feedback loop by PID controller in order to stabilize for unstable area. The influence of dead time was discussed by Nichols chart and unit step response curve. It was confirmed through computer simulation that the performance improvement of a mechanical hydraulic governor can be obtained by PID controller.

  • An automatic train operation(ATO) system executes the operation of constant speed travelling and fixed point parking by using microprocessors instead of drivers manual operation. This paper describes the mathematical model for the train considering unknown disturbances which consist of start resistance, travelling resistance, slope resistance, curve resistance, and so on. The speed controller of ATO system is designed by considering the disturbances. The simulation is executed to verify the speed control and fixed point parking performance and to compare its performance with that of a PID-type ATO control system under disturbances. Simulation results show that the control performance of gain scheduled control scheme fur ATO system is better than that of the conventional PID controller.

  • This paper proposes the method that estimate optimally the parameters of Fuzzy-PID controller using genetic Algorithm. The controller is designed with the proposed method, and then is applied to 3-phase induction motor. Simulation results show that proposed method is more excellent then FPID and PID.

  • An adaptive fuzzy P + ID controller for variable speed operation of BLDC motor drives is presented in this paper. Generally, a conventional PID controller is most widely used in industry due to its simple control structure and ease of design. However, the PID controller suffers from the electrical machine parameter variations and disturbances. To improve the tracking performance for parameter and load variations, the controller proposed in this paper is constructed by using an adaptive fuzzy logic controller in place of the proportional term in a conventional PID controller. For implementing this controller, only one additional parameter has to be adjusted in comparison with the PID controller. An adaptive fuzzy controller applied to proportional term to achieve robustness against parameter variations has simple structure and computational simplicity. The controller based on optimal fuzzy logic controller has an self-tuning characteristics with clustering. Computer simulation results show the usefulness of the proposed controller.

  • In this paper, CAN-based feedback control system is proposed for the pressurization system of korean high-speed train. The control performance of the system is evaluated. According to the requirement of the pressurization system A process model considering network delay and an adaptive PID control method based on the process model are proposed here. And it is shown that the proposed adaptive PID control method considering the network delay has on adequate feature compared to some other existing methods consequently it can be considered to be applied the pressurization system of korean high-speed train.

  • A conventional PID controller does not provide a proper response in face of various kinds of load variation. In this paper, Fuzzy-PID Control scheme are proposed in order to improve the performance of the PID Controller. The proposed control schemes are applied to the speed controller of AC servo motor systems. The effectiveness of the proposed methods is shown by implementation and the advantage of each control scheme is discussed.

  • 인버터를 적용한 유압식 시스템은 펌프의 마찰과 실린더 패킹 및 탑승 카와 레일의 마찰특성으로 인하여 PID 제어기로는 제어가 되지 않는 데드 존이 생기게 된다. 본 논문에서는, 우선 유압시스템으로 구동되는 유압식 시스템의 극저속 속도영역(zero-crossing)에서 속도가 제어되지 않는 원인이 되는 실린더의 마찰특성을 고찰하고, 이러한 실린더의 마찰특성으로 인하여 기존의 PID 속도제어기로 제어 시 발생되는 문제점을 해결하기 위한 줌잉 퍼지 룰을 포함한 퍼지제어기를 설계한다. 마지막으로, 설계된 퍼지제어기와 기존의 PID 제어기를 결합하여 보다 성능이 향상된 하이브리드 퍼지제어기를 설계한다. 제안된 하이브리드 퍼지제어기는 정속주행구간에서는 정상상태제어성능이 우수한 PID 제어기를 적용하고 PID제어기로 제어되지 않는 극저속 속도구간에서는 퍼지제어기를 적용하여 유압식 시스템이 실린더의 마찰특성으로 인하여 극저속 속도영역(zero-crossing)에서 속도가 제어되지 않는 문제를 해결하고, 극저속 영역에서 뿐 아니라 정상상태를 포함한 전 운전영역에서의 제어성능이 우수함을 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 보인다.

  • 본 논문에서는 무인항공기용 소형 터보제트엔진에 대해 압축기 서지현상 및 화염소실을 방지하면서 과도응답 특성을 개선하는 제어기를 설계하였다. 터보제트 엔진의 가 감속 시 서지현상과 flame-out 현상을 방지하기 위해 연료 유량 제어 입력을 Fuzzy-PID 제어기로 생성하고 신속하고 안전하게 원하는 속도로 수렴할 수 있도록 제어기 설계한다. LabVIEW을 이용한 시뮬레이션을 통해 PID와의 응답특성 비교 분석 및 신속하고 안전하게 원하는 속도로 수렴하는 제어 성능을 확인하였다.
