직류 전동기 속도 제어에서 PI 제어기보다 우수한 퍼지 논리 제어기의 이득 선정을 위한 연구 (A Study on the Gain Tuning of Fuzzy Logic Controller Superior to PI Controller in DC Motor Speed Control)

  • Through a lot of papers, it has been concluded that fuzzy logic controller is superior to PI controller in motor speed control. Although fuzzy logic controller is superior to PI controller in motor speed control, the gain tuning of fuzzy logic controller is more complicated than that of PI controller. In this paper, using mathematical analysis of the PI and fuzzy controller, the design method of the fuzzy controller that has the same characteristics with the PI controller is proposed. After that, we can design the fuzzy controller that has superior performance than PI controller by changing the envelope of input of fuzzy controller to nonlinear, because the fuzzy controller has more degree of freedom to select the control gain than PI controller. The advantage of fuzzy logic controller is shown through mathematical analysis, and the simulation result using Matlab simulink has been proposed to show the effectiveness of these analysis.

  • DC 모터는 브러시 구조가 있는 DC 모터와 브러시 구조가 없는 BLDC(Brushless DC) 모터로 분류된다. BLDC 모터는 DC 모터의 브러시가 없이 정류를 전자적으로 수행하는 모터로 BLDC 모터의 속도제어를 대표하는 것은 PI 제어이다. PI 제어기를 이용한 속도제어는 정상상태에 도달하는 응답 특성이 느리다는 단점을 가지고 있다. 이를 보완하기 위해 정상 상태까지 도달하는 시간이 짧고 비선형 제어에도 쉽게 제어가 가능한 FLC(Fuzzy Logic Controller)를 이용해 전압을 가감하는 방식의 전압 제어 속도 제어기 제안하였다. 제시한 퍼지 속도 제어기의 타당성과 유용성은 MATLAB 프로그램의 Simulink를 통해 모의실험으로 입증하였다. 모의실험은 기준 속도를 500rpm, 800rpm, 1500rpm의 3가지 경우로 각각 PI 제어기와 제안한 퍼지 속도 제어기를 실험하였다. 실험 결과 제안한 퍼지 속도 제어기가 30% 정도 개선된 정상 상태 속도 응답 특성을 보이며 PI 제어기에 비해서 빠른 속도 응답 특성을 갖고 있음을 입증하였다.

  • This paper presents a practical application of fuzzy logic control to temperature control of glass melting furnace. Due to the characteristics of glass melting furnace, a hybrid algorithm of conventional PI controller and fuzzy logic controller is proposed and discussed. Practical implementation results of the production furnace showed the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm.

  • In this paper, a fuzzy precompensated PI controller for inverter-type air-conditioner is presented. The presented control scheme is composed of a fuzzy logic precompensator and PI controller, in which two control schemes are serially connected. The rules of the fuzzy precompensator is designed to improve the performance by considering the nonlinear characteristics of a temperature dynamics. The experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed controller.

BLDC 모터용 Fuzzy PWM 속도 알고리즘 (Fuzzy PWM Speed Algorithm for BLDC Motor)

  • 기존에 BLDC모터의 속도 제어 알고리즘으로는 PI 제어 알고리즘이 많이 사용되어왔다. PI 제어 알고리즘의 경우 다양한 속도 변화에 대한 속도와 토크의 응답 특성이 느려, 정상상태에 도달하는 것이 느리다는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 오버슈트가 조금 있지만 응답 속도를 개선해 정상상태에 빠르게 도달할 수 있는 PWM 퍼지 논리 제어 알고리즘을 제안하였다. PWM으로 응답속도를 줄이고, 퍼지 논리 제어 알고리즘으로 오버슈트를 최소화하였다. 제안된 PWM 퍼지 논리 제어 알고리즘은 DC 초퍼, PWM 듀티 사이클 조정기, 퍼지 논리 제어기 등으로 구성했다. 제안된 알고리즘의 성능과 타당성은 Matlab 2018a의 Simulink를 이용한 시뮬레이션을 통해 입증하였다.

  • This paper presents the design of Fuzzy PI controller that is used at BESS(Battery Energy Storage System) charging and discharging process for islanded operation in microgrid. Most of the PI controllers have fixed PI gains, but real-time updated gains are applied to PI controller using Fuzzy logic in this paper. The performances of suggested Fuzzy PI controller are simulated by PSCAD/EMTDC. As a result, output characteristics of ESS applied real-time updated gains to PI controller are faster than those of using fixed gains.

  • In this study, feedback logic using dual O2 sensor values were developed to increase the purification capability of a three-way catalyst (TWC) in a compressed natural gas (CNG) engine. A heavy-duty inline 6-cylinder engine was used and the CNG was supplied to the engine through a mixer. This study consists of two main parts, namely, the proportional integral (PI) control with a front O2 sensor and the feedback control with dual O2 sensors. In the PI control experiment, effects of various parameters, such as P gain, I gain, and lean delay, on the TWC capability were identified. Based on the results of the PI control experiment, the feedback logic using dual O2 sensor values were developed. In both cases, the nitrogen oxides (NOX) emissions were nearly zero. However, the carbon monoxide (CO) emissions were reduced significant in the feedback logic with dual O2 sensors than in the PI control with the front O2 sensor.

  • This paper presents an approach to self-tuning PI control of dynamic plants, based on fuzzy logic application. A fuzzy logic composed of linguistic conditional statements is employed by defining the relations of input-output variables of the controller. In the synthesis of a fuzzy logic controller, one of the most difficult problem is the selection of linguistic control rules and parameters. To overcome this difficulty, self-tuning fuzzy PI controller (STFPIC) with a hierarchical structure in which the fuzzy PI controller is assigned as the lower level and the rule modification and parameter adjustment as the higher level. The rules and parameters are generated by the adjustment of membership function through performance index(PE). In this paper, the algorithm for of the controller performance is estimated by means of computer simulation.

  • The conventional PI controller has been widely used in industrial applications. If a PI control gain is selected suitable, the PI controller shows very good control performance. But it is very difficult to find the optimal PI control gain. Therefore, in this paper, the 4-rule based fuzzy logic modifier of the conventional PI controller are presented. The fuzzy logic modifier which exhibits a stabilizing effects on the closed-loop system, has good robustness regarding the improperly tuned PI controller. The simulation are performed to verify the capability of proposed control method on vector controlled induction motor drive system.

  • The dynamics of the vehicle system has highly nonlinear components such as an engine, a torque converter and variable road condition. This thesis proposes a Fuzzy Logic Algorithm that shows better control performance than Antiwindup PI in the highly nonlinear vehicle system. Traction Control System(TCS), which adjusts throttle valve opening by Fuzzy Logic Algorithm improves vehicle drivability, steerability and stability when vehicle is starting and cornering. When a throttle valve is opened at large degree, Fuzzy Logic Algorithm shows better performances like a small settling time and a small oscillation than Antiwindup PI in simulation. The decreased desired slip ratio improves steerability in the simulation when a vehicle is cornering. The Fuzzy Logic Algorithm has been tested by a 1/5-scale vehicle for tracking the constant desired velocity.
