Control of Nonlinear Systems with Mismatched Uncertainties Using an Output Feedback (출력피드백에 의한 비매칭 불확실성이 있는 비선형계의 제어)

  • In this paper, we design output feedback nonlinear dynamic control law by using state feedback nonlinear dynamic compensator and PI observer and show that the controller can stabilized globally and asymptotically a class of nonlinear systems with mismatched uncertainties. We also show that it is possible for a nonlinear system to use the output of PI observer in place of state variables in case that the nonlinear dynamic control law is used, similarly as in the linear system. The effectiveness of the proposed control law is demonstrated by a numerical simulation.

  • A DC Power Distribution Systems(DC PDS) are widely used in telecommunication system, electric vehicle, aircraft, military system, etc. In the DC PDS, DC bus voltage instability may be occurred by the operation of multiple loads such as pulsed power load, motor drive system, and constant power loads. To damp the transients of the DC bus voltage, the Voltage Bus Conditioner(VBC) with the PI compensator is used. In this paper, the validity of the proposed VBC system is verified by PSIM simulation package.

  • Of all known power quality problems, voltage sags provide the largest reason for concern. Sags occurs more frequently than outages and therefore tend to be more costly for industry as modern technical equipment becomes all the more sensitive to the quality and reliability of supply. Therefore we designed for a new model for Voltage Sag compensator, and we will implement Anti-Windup PI Controller with IP Block.

  • In this paper, a methodology for optimal PI supplementary controller using the modified genetic algorithm has been proposed to the oscillation damping in HDVC transmission system. These study processes are summarized as the formulation for load flow calculation in HVDC transmission system with SVC, the investigations on the basic control in HVDC system, the mathematical modeling for dynamic characteristics analyses, and the optimal design of MGA based PI controller generation the supplementary control signal of SVC. Its properties were verified through a series of computer simulations including dynamic stability. It means that the application of MGA-PI controller in HVDC transmission system can contribute the propriety to the improvement of the stability in HVDC transmission system and the design of MGA-OI controller has been proved indispensible when applied to HVDC transmission system.

  • This paper resents a control approach for designing a fuzzy-PI controller for a synchronous generator excitation and SVC system A combination of thyristor-controlled reactors and fixed capacitors (TCR-FC) type SVC is recognized as having the must fiexible control and high speed response, which has been widely utilized in power systems, is considered and designed to improve the response of a synchronous generator, as well as controlling the system voltage A Fuzzy-PI controller for SVC system was proposed in this paper. The PI gain parameters of the proposed Fuzzy-PI controller which is a special type of PI ones are self-tuned by fuzzy inference technique. It is natural that the fuzzy inference technique should be barred on humans intuitions and empirical knowledge. Nonetheless, the conventional ones were not so. Therefore, In this paper, the fuzzy inference technique of PI gains using MMGM(Min Max Gravity Method) which is very similar to humans inference procedures, was presented and allied to the SVC system. The system dynamic responses are examined after applying all small disturbance condition.

  • Servo motor systems with ball-screw and timing-belt are widely used in NC, robot, FA and industrial applications. However, the nonlinear friction torque and damping effect in machine elements reduce the control performance. Especially tracking errors in trajectory control and very low velocity control range are serious due to the break-away friction and Stribeck effects. In this paper, a new double speed controller is proposed for compensation of the nonlinear friction torque. The proposed double speed controller has outer speed controller and inner friction torque compensator. The proposed friction torque compensator compensates the nonlinear friction torque with actual speed and speed error information. Due to the actual information for friction torque compensator without parameters and mathematical model of motor, proposed compensator is very simple structure and the stability is very high. The proposed compensator is verified by simulation and experimental results.

Power Compensator Control for Improving Unbalanced Power of AC Electric Railway (교류전기철도 불평형 전력 개선을 위한 전력보상장치 제어)

  • In this study, we propose a control algorithm to reduce the unbalanced characteristics of a three-phase system power caused by the unbalanced load of the AC electric railway. Then, we verify its performance through the design of a power compensator and experiments applying it. Like electric railway systems, a Scott transformer is applied, and the load and single-phase back-to-back converters are connected to the M-phase and T-phase outputs. The back-to-back converter monitors the difference in active power between the unbalanced loads in real-time and compensates for the power by using bidirectional characteristics. The active power is performed through PI control in the synchronous coordinate system, and DC link overall voltage and voltage balancing control are controlled jointly by M-phase and T-phase converters to improve the responsiveness of the system. To verify the performance of the proposed power compensation device, an experiment was performed under the condition that M-phase 5 kW and T-phase 1 kW unbalanced load. As a result of the experiment, the unbalance rate of the three-phase current after the operation of the power compensator decreases by 58.66% from 65.04% to 6.38%, and the excellent performance of the power compensator proposed in this study is verified.

  • In this paper, a Pl controlled feedback closed-loop voltage regulation scheme of the three-phase squirrel cage rotor self-excited induction generator (SEIG) driven by a variable-speed prime mover (VSPM) such as a wind turbine is designed on the basis of the static VAR compensator (SVC) and discussed in experiment fer the promising stand-alone power independent conditioner. The simulation and experimental results of the three-phase SEIG with the simple SVC controller for its stabilized voltage regulation prove the practical effectiveness of the additional SVC control loop scheme including the PI controller with fast response characteristics and steady-sate performance improvement.

  • This paper presents an active and reactive power compensator for the wind power system with multi-polar synchronous generator. The proposed compensator is composed of a charge/discharge PWM converter and battery. The output power of a wind power system changes irregularly according to the variation of wind speed. The developed system is able to continuously compensate the active and reactive power. The operational feasibility of the proposed model was verified by simulations with PSCAD/EMTDC.

  • Single mode optical fiber interferometeric sensors using phase tracking homodyne detection are typically susceptible to environmentally induced temperature fluctuations and other types of disturbances. In this paper compensator is described, which is a simple and effective phase tracking feedback electronic circuit must be output signal stabilized to achieve maximln sensitivity and linearity of Mach-Zehnder fiber-optic interferomter in the presence of differential phase drift. The phase tracking range of the piezoelectric cylinder in the reference arm is .+-.3.7.pi.rad, and the probe mass about 1 gram in the sensing ann was used for measurements of the gravity acceleration.
