A Study on the PI Controller of AC Servo Motor using Genetic Algorithm (유전자알고리즘을 이용한 교류서보전동기의 PI 제어기에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, G.A studies have studied and demonstrated that artificial intelligence like G.A networks, G.A PI controller. The design techniques of PI controller using G.A with the newly proposed teaming algorithm was presented, and the designed controller with AC servo motor system. The goal of this paper is to design the AC servo motor using genetic algorithm and to control drive robot. And in this paper, we propose a genetic algorithms approach to find an optimal or near optimal input variables for genetic algorithm PI controller. Our experimental results show that this approach increases overall classification accuracy rate significantly. Finally, we executed for the implementation of high performance speed control system. It is used a 16-bit DSP, IMS320LF2407, which is capable of the high speed and floating point calculation.

Study on Basic Characteristics of Hollow Piezoelectric Actuator for Driving Nanoscale Stamp (나노스템프 구동용 중공형 압전액추에이터 기본특성에 관한 연구)

  • Nanoimprint lithography has been actively investigated. This method can replicate a nanopatterned master stamp onto a thin polymer film on a silicon substrate and so on. In this study, a square-shaped hollow piezoelectric actuator is presented, which is newly developed. This actuator is used for driving a nanoscale stamp in nanoimprint lithography instead of a conventional electric motor. The fabricated prototype actuator has 95 layers and side lengths of 23 mm and 18 mm for the outer and inner squares, respectively. By adopting a novel process instead of the conventional forming process for fabricating a one-layer actuator, the one-layer is composed of four rectangular segments produced by sawing a ceramic film with a thickness of 0.3 mm. The basic characteristics on displacement and generation force of the fabricated prototype actuator are experimentally investigated. Furthermore, the displacement characteristics obtained by using a PI controller are tested and discussed.

  • The fluid system such as, the quantity control of raw water, chemicals control in the purification, the waste water system as well as in the feed water or circulation system of the power plant and the ventilation system is controlled with the valve and moter pump. The system's performance and the energy saving of the fluid systems depend on control of method and delicacy. Until, PI controller use in these system but it cannot control delicately because of the coupling in the system loop. In this paper we configure a single flow system to the multi variable system and suggest the application of 2-DOF PID controller and the tuning methods by the neural network to the electrical power of the flow control system. the 2-DOF controller follows to a setpoint has a robustness against the disturbance in the results of simulation.   • This paper presents an on-line correction method of current measurement errors for a pure-integration-based flux estimation down to 1-Hz stator frequency. An observer-based approach is taken as one possible solution of eliminating the dc offset and the negative sequence component of unbalanced gains in the synchronous coordinate. At the same time, the positive sequence component estimation is performed by creating an error signal between a motor model reference and an estimated q-axis rotor flux established by a permanent magnet (PM) in the synchronous coordinate. The compensator utilizes a PI controller that controls the error signal to zero. The proposed technique further contains a residual error compensator to completely eliminate miscellaneous disturbances in the estimated flux. The developed algorithm has been implemented on a 1.1-kW permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

  • This paper introduced a previous study which suggest ways to improve problems of drive control system of Ropeless Elevator when developing prior to commercialization of Ropeless Elevator. In particular, this study also manufactured motor, linear speed sensor and the miniature systems to study the implementation of the Ropeless Elevator drive. This study examined the problem of conventional PI controller through the speed control test and focused on the advanced controller based on disturbance observer for Ropeless Elevator drive. The results of this study confirmed the feasibility of the Ropeless Elevator and showed the satisfactory results of drive control techniques. This study also extracted many more problems that still need to be improved in the future for commercializing such as the sensor, high-performance controller, precision structures, safety devices and so on.

  • In this paper, recently, it is described to the piezoelectric transformer technology develops, because it was have to favorable characteristics such as electromagnetic-noise free, compact size, higher efficiency, and superior power density, flux linkage, noiseless, etc. its resonance frequency was used to output waveform of a sine wave. A rotor speed identification method of induction motor based on the theory of flux model reference adaptive system(FMRAS). The estimator execute the rotor speed identification so that the vector control of the induction motor may be achieved. The improved auxiliary variable of the model are introduced to perform accurate rotor speed estimation. The control system is composed of the PI controller for speed control and the current controller using space voltage vector PWM techniuqe and DC-DC converter. High speed calculation and processing for vector control is carried out by digital signal one chip microprocessor. Validity of the proposed control method is verified through simulation and experimental results.

  • It is common to optimize the propulsion control system through a so-called tuning process that modifies the parameter values of the propulsion control software during a ship commissioning. However, during this process, if the error of the initial setting value is large, the tuning time may take too long, or the propulsion equipment can be seriously damaged. Therefore, we conducted research on the design of a propulsion controller that applied a Processor lever controller even for inexperienced people with relatively little experience in tuning propulsion control software to be able to reduce the tuning time while protecting the propulsion system. Through simulation, by comparing the execution result of propulsion control lever commands through the PI controller without applying the Processor lever controller. We analyzed the improvement of the Overshoot and propulsion performance. The simulation results showed that the safety of the propulsion system increased because Overshoot of approximately 9.74%, which occurred when the Processor lever function was not applied.

  • The electro-hydrostatic actuators (EHA) are widely used in various industrial fields since they can independently execute the function of the hydraulic power source and have high efficiency. Particularly, in the aviation field, the EHA is mainly designed as dual redundant asymmetric tandem actuator to mitigate failure and minimize installation space. However, aviation EHAs designed in the form of dual redundant asymmetric tandem actuator have the disadvantage of decreased durability performance due to the occurrence of force fighting. In this paper, the controller is designed based on backstepping technique to improve control performance and reduce force fighting for aviation EHA. The augmented state observer is proposed to estimate the states required for control. Through simulation, it was verified that the proposed controller had superior control performance and significantly reduces the force fighting compared to the general PI controller.

Design of Control System for Hydraulic Cylinders of a Sluice Gate Using Fuzzy PI Algorithm (퍼지 PI를 이용한 배수갑문용 유압실린더 제어기 설계)

  • A main technology of opening and closing a sluice gate is accurate synchronous and position control for the two cylinders when they are moving with the sluice gate together over 10[m]. Since the supply flow and supply pressure of cylinders are not constant and a nonlinear friction force of the piston in cylinders exists, a difference will be made between the displacement of two cylinders. This difference causes the sluice gate to deform and abrade, and even it may be out of order. In order to solve this problem we design two kinds of fuzzy PI controllers. The former is for a position control of two cylinders, the latter is for their synchronous control. We show some simulation results compare the performance of fuzzy PI controller to the conventional PID controller.
