A Wheat Variety, "Hwanggeumal" with Good Bread Quality, Red Grain, Partial Waxy, Tolerance to PHS

  • A new winter wheat(Triticum aestivum L.) cultivar "Hwanggeumal" was developed by the NICS(National Institute of Crop Science), RDA(Rular Dvelopment Administraion) in 2019. It was derived from a cross of the "Jokyoung//Kauz/Rayon" and "Jopoom" in 2008. It had advanced generation through bulk and pedigree method for seven years and designated line name "Jeonju398" after AYT(Advance Yield Trial) test for two years. And "Hwangeumal" was designated variety name after RYT(Regional Yield Trial) test in eight locations around Korea for two years from 2018 to 2019. Its heading date was April 19 and maturity date was May 31, which were similar to Jokyoung. "Hwanggeumal" had shorter plant height(75 cm) and spike length(7.1 cm), spikes per m2(699) and lower 1,000 grain weight(44.2 g) than "Jokyoung"(78 cm, 8.2 cm, 776, 46.6 g, respectively). "Hwanggeumal" was showed weak to winter hardiness and susceptible to powdery mildew but tolerance to PHS(Pre-harvest sprouting). The average grain yield in the AYT was 6.2 ton/ha, which were 10% more than "Jokyoung" And in the RYT was 5.1 ton/ha in upland and 4.4 ton/ha in paddy field, which were lower than "Jokyoung", respectively. "Hwanggeumal"s flour yield (71.4%) and flour lightness (91.82) showed similar to "Jokyung" and higher protein content (14.0%) and gluten content (10.3%) and SDS-sedimentation volume (60.3ml). These result showed that the "Hwanggeumal" dough strength of flour is strong than "Jokyung". "Hwanggeumal"s HMW-GS(High molecular weight gluten subunits) composition are Glu-D1 (5+10), Granule-bound starch synthase(GBSS) composition are Wx-A1 (a), Wx-B1 (b), Wx-D1 (a) and composition of Puroindolines are Pina-D1(a), Pinb-D1(b).

Phenotypic characterization of pre-harvest sprouting resistance mutants generated by the CRISPR/Cas9-geminiviral replicon system in rice

  • Pre-harvest sprouting is a critical phenomenon involving germination of seeds in the mother plant before harvest under relative humid conditions and reduced dormancy. In this paper, we generated HDR mutant lines with one region SNP (C/T) and an insertion of 6 bp (GGT/GGTGGCGGC) in OsERF1 genes for pre-harvest sprouting (PHS) resistance using CRISPR/Cas9 and a geminiviral replicon system. The incidence of HDR was 2.6% in transformed calli. T1 seeds were harvested from 12 HDR-induced calli and named ERF1-hdr line. Molecular stability, key agronomic properties, physiological properties, and biochemical properties of target genes in the ERF1-hdr line were investigated for three years. The ERF1-hdr line showed significantly enhanced seed dormancy and pre-harvest sprouting resistance. qRT-PCR analysis suggested that enhanced ABA signaling resulted in a stronger phenotype of PHS resistance. These results indicate that efficient HDR can be achieved through SNP/InDel replacement using a single and modular configuration applicable to different rice targets and other crops. This work demonstrates the potential to replace all genes with elite alleles within one generation and greatly expands our ability to improve agriculturally important traits.

공공보건의료사업 수행과 주민특성이 공공병원 이미지에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Performance of Public Health Services and Personal Characteristics on Community Image of Public Hospitals)

  • 본 연구는 33개 공공병원을 대상으로 공공보건의료사업 수행관련 특성과 관할 지역주민의 특성에 따른 지역주민 이미지와의 관련성을 분석한 상관관계 조사연구이다. 본 연구에서 활용된 자료는 보건복지부에서 수행한 '2011년 지역거점 공공병원 운영평가'를 통해 수집된 이차자료 중 본 연구의 목적에 부합하는 자료를 일부 추출하여 수행기관의 승인을 득한 후 활용하였다. 연구대상자는 114에 등록되어 있는 해당지역 주민들로, 연구의 목적에 대한 설명을 제공한 후 참여를 허락한 지역주민을 대상자로 하였다. 자료수집 기간은 2011년 3월~9월까지였다. 본 연구에 참여한 최종 대상자 수는 총 1,789명으로, 남자 891명(49.80%), 여자 898명(50.20%)이었다. 본 연구 대상자의 일반적 특성별로 공공병원에 대해 긍정적 이미지군과 부정적 이미지군 간에 유의한 차이를 보인 변수는 연령(p<.001), 최종 교육형태(p<.001), 직업유무(p<.05), 월평균 수입(p<.001), 1년 이내에 해당 공공병원 이용경험 여부(p<.001)이었다. 공공병원에 대해 지역주민 이미지에 유의한 영향을 미치는 변수는 연령(OR=0.34, 95% CI=0.19-0.60), 최종 교육형태(OR=3.03, 95% CI=1.60-5.76), 최근 1년 이내 해당 공공병원 이용경험(OR=0.57, 95% CI=0.40-0.81), 건강수준(OR=0.69, 95% CI=0.49-0.96), 거주 지역유형(OR=2.10, 95% CI=1.11-3.99), 지역주민 1,000명당 공공보건의료사업 실적(OR=0.58 95% CI=0.35-0.96)으로 나타났다. 중앙정부와 광역정부, 지방정부는 공공병원으로 하여금 공공보건의료사업을 원활히 수행할 수 있도록 제도적, 재정적으로 꾸준히 지원해야 할 것이다. 아울러 공공병원도 지역주민이 원하는 바를 지속적으로 확인하고 이를 공공보건의료사업 서비스 개선에 반영하여 공공기관에 대한 긍정적 이미지가 지역주민들에게 형성될 수 있도록 노력해야 할 것이다.

각종 소화기 증상에 대한 HPS-A의 임상실험 (Clinical Study of HPS-A on Various Digestive Symptoms)

  • In order to study the effect and safety of HPS-A on various digestive symptom, it was taken 3 times a day for 2 weeks on 31 patients. The results were as follows ; 1. The sex distribution was male 42% and female 58% 2. The age distribution was thirties 35% twenties 20%, forties 19% 3. The average improvement rate after 1 week was 85.2% and improvement rate of each symptom was epigastric soreness 89.9%, dyspepsia 85.1%, hunger pain 84.6% 4. The average improvement rate after 2 weeks was 94.5% and improvement rate of each symptom was epigastric soreness 96.6%,hunger pain 96.5%, dyspepsia 96.3% 5. No cases were showen side effects. Aecording to the above results, it is proved that PHS-A can be applied to care gastritis and early peptic ulcer.

  • 유비쿼터스 정보 기술을 기반으로 다양한 업무 지원 기기간 네트워크를 형성하여 업무 처리를 지원하는 u-Office와, 지능화된 다양한 사물에 인터넷 연결성을 제공하여 지능적 서비스를 제공하는 Internet of Things(IoT)는 기하급수적으로 증가하는 다수의 객체간 통신을 수행하므로 네트워킹 자원의 최적화 기술이 필수로 뒷받침되어야 한다. 데이터 패킷의 오버헤드를 줄이고 통신 자원을 절약하기 위한 기술 연구는 다방면으로 진행되고 있으며, 특히 패킷의 오버헤드를 줄이고 통신 자원을 절약하는 패킷 헤더 압축 기술은 다양한 국제 표준이 개발되어 모바일 와이맥스(Mobile WiMAX), Long Term Evolution(LTE), IPv6 over Low power Wireless Personal Area Network(6LoWPAN) 등의 네트워크에 활용되고 있다. 본 고에서는 모바일 와이맥스, LTE, 6LoWPAN에서 각각 사용되는 패킷 헤더 압축 기술인 Payload Header Suppression(PHS), Robust Header Compression(ROHC), Header Compression(HC), Improved Header Compression(IPHC)의 개발 동향을 제시하고 각 기술의 특징을 비교 분석한다.

A Simple Method for Recovery of Microbial $Poly-{\beta}-hydroxybutyrate$ by Alkaline Solution Treatment

  • A novel and simple purification method for microbial $poly-{\beta}-hydroxybutyrate$ (PHS) was developed. Sodium hydroxide was found to be efficient for digesting cell materials. Initial biomass concentration, NaOH concentation, digestion time, and incubation temperature were optimized. When 40 g/l of biomass was incubated in 0.1 N NaOH at $30^{\circ}C$ for 1 h, PHB purity of 88.4% with a weight average molecular weight ($M_w$) of 770,000 and a polydispersity index (PI) of 2.4 was recovered with a yield of 90.8% from the biomass which initially contained PHB of a $M_w$ of 780,000 and a PI of 2.3.

  • As a cryogen, LOx is a light blue, odorless, transparent liquid. Also it is not shock sensitive and does not decompose. However, it is a strong oxidizer and will vigorously support combustion. Therefore all harmful contaminants (such as grease, oil, fingerprint and organic materials) that could cause malfunctions, fires, or explosions in a oxygen environments must be completely removed prior to the introduction of oxygen. Especially, grease ingredient located inside of the LOx supply line, pipe and PHS (Pneumo-Hydraulic System) part can make drastic chemical reaction with oxygen. Therefore, to protect rapid reaction such as explosion, grease ingredient must be surely eliminated by a regular and irregular degreasing. Study on the availability, effectiveness and selection of degreasing detergents and method is described in this paper, and it will be useful for the construction and management of IPP test facility.

온도보상된 유전체공진기 필터를 이용한 10Gbit/s 클럭추출회로 (10 Gbit/s Timing recovery circuit using temperature compensated dielectric resonantor filter)

  • A timing recovery circuit of 10 Gbit/s optical receiver is described. The circuit consists of a passive NRZ-to-PRZ circuit, a dielectric resonator filter (DRF) and a narrow band amplifier, which for the first time adopted a temperature compensation technique using the tempareature characteristics of DR. The experimental results showed an output clock phase variation of less than ${\pm}$6 degree over the operating temperature range form 0$^{\circ}C$ to 75$^{\circ}C$ and measured maximum rms jitters of less than 2 phs with the resonance detunings of up to ${\pm}$10 MHz. These experimental results show that the circuit is a suitable for 10 Gbit/s lightwave transmission system.

높은 비저항을 갖는 RF 소자용 CoPdAlO 박막의 자기적 특성 (Magnetic Properties of High Electrical Resistive CoPdAlO Film for RF Device)

  • Presently, an inductor adapted at MMIC (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit) which is used for cellular phone or PHS operates at quasi-microwave range over 800 MHz. However, a W-CDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) will use about 2 GHz range. Therefore magnetic film device should be compatible up to 2 GHz. We have deposited Co-Pd-Al-O system film using rf sputtering method which is expected up to 2 GHz, and investigated the effect of Pd content and magnetic field annealing. When Pd composition is 19%, Hk was 118 Oe, and ${\mu}$′showed flat frequency characteristics up to 1.5 GHz. The Q factor (=${\mu}$′/${\mu}$") was 23.3 at 1 GHz, 6.7 at 1.5 GHz and 1.5 at 2 GHz, respectively. Resonance frequency was 2 GHz. Therefore Co-Pd-Al-O thin film could be used at over 1 GHz, and also expected as an inductor material for wide band CDMA type cellular phone.

  • 통신기술과 컴퓨터기술의 발전으로 새로운 전기통신 서비스가 개발 보급되고, 그 예로 도난, 화재, 가스 유출 등 가정 안에서 일어나는 각종 위급상황을 해당관서에 자동으로 알려주는 원격 안전관리시스템의 중요성과 인력 검침에 따른 노동력 확보문제나 효율적이고 경제적인 검침에 따른 운용방안이 요구되는 시점에서 원격검침 시스템(AMRS)의 필요성이 더욱 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 각각의 원격 검침 시스템의 사용된 통신 방식을 비교하고 원격 검침시스템의 국내 외 기술 개발 동향 및 앞으로의 발전방향을 모색하였다. 이에 고유가시대의 검침비용을 절감하고 고객 서비스 향상 방안에 도움이 되고자 한다.
