Paeoniflorigenone 작약성분의 항염효과 (Anti-inflammatory Effect of Paeoniflorigenone Isolated from Paeoniae Radix)

  • In Northeast Asia, Paeoniae Radix has been used in treatments of inflammation-causing diseases such as arthritis for many centuries. Paeoniflorin, one of the principle bioactive monoterpene glucosides from the paeony root, is reported to be mostly responsible for the effectiveness of the treatments. However, the anti-inflammatory effect of a monoterpene, paeoniflorigenone (PFG) which partially has the moiety of paeoniflorin minus a glucose structure is unknown. Thus, the aim of this work was to investigate anti-inflammatory activity of PFG. For the investigation, PFG activity on the NO (nitric oxide) production from LPS-stimulated macrophages, and the anti-inflammatory effect was tested in the animal model of septic arthritis caused by Candida albicans, a major etiological agent for septic arthritis. For induction of the arthritis, mice were administered with an emulsion of C. albicans cell wall (CACW) mixed with Complete Freund's Adjuvant (CFA) via footpad-injection (Day 0); PFG at a dose of 0.5 or 1 mg/mouse (25 or 50 mg/kg of body-weight) was given to the animals on Day 3, 6, and 9; footpads were scored for arthritis. Moreover, the PFG effect on proliferation of T-lymphocyte that causes aggravation of arthritis was additionally tested. Data resulting from those tests showed that PFG inhibited the NO production from the stimulated macrophage in a dose dependent manner (P<0.05), indicating that PFG is an anti-inflammatory. To confirm the in-vitro results, anti-inflammatory activity of PFG was determined against C. albicans-caused septic arthritis. Data showed that PFG-treatment reduced footpad-swelling which indicates that PFG has anti-arthritic effect (P<0.05), which is therapeutic. The anti-arthritic effect appeared to be mediated by PFG suppression of T-cell proliferation. Ultimately, PFG, a monoterpene component, has anti-inflammatory activity analogous to paeoniflorin. The anti-inflammatory activity treats the septic arthritis due to a pathogenic fungus C. albicans.

CAD/CAM 3-unit bridges의 변연 적합도에 관한 연구 (A study on the marginal fit of CAD/CAM 3-unit bridges)

  • 연구 목적: 본 연구에서는CAD/CAM (computer-aided design / computer-aided manufacturing) 시스템으로 제작된LAVA (3M ESPE, Seefeld, Germany) 3-unit bridge와 통상적인 방법으로 제작된 PFG 3-unit bridge의 변연 적합도를 비교 분석해 보고자 한다. 연구 재료 및 방법: 레진치를 전부 도재관을 위한 삭제를 시행하고 인상 채득하여 레진 모형 (Exakto-form model resin, Bredent, Senden, Germany)을군당10개씩 제작하였다. 레진 모형의 인상을 채득하여 석고 모형을 제작하고 PFG, LAVA 3-unit bridge를 10개씩 제작하였다. 제작된 bridge를 레진 모형에 접착하고 실체 현미경(Stereoscopic microscope, Nikon DS-Fi 1, Nikon, Japan)을 사용하여 각 치아당 4점에서 변연 적합도를 측정하였다 (${\times}75$). 측정된 결과는 independent t-test로 통계 분석하였다 (${\alpha}$ = 0.05). 결과: 각 군에서 변연 적합도의 평균과 표준편차는 PFG bridge 중절치에서는 $97.1{\pm}18.7\;{\mu}m$, 견치에서는 $76.6{\pm}21.8\;{\mu}m$, LAVA bridge 중절치에서는 $90.4{\pm}26.7\;{\mu}m$, 견치에서는$110.2{\pm}30.2\;{\mu}m$ 이었다. PFG 3-unit bridge와LAVA 3-unit bridge에서 중절치에서는 통계적 유의성이 없었고, 견치에서는LAVA의 변연 간격이 큰 것으로 나타났다 (P<.05). 결론: PFG 3-unit bridge와 LAVA 3-unit bridge 두 군 모두 임상적으로 받아들여질 만한 변연 적합도를 보였다.

  • In this article, a new operation on product fuzzy graphs (PFGs) is provide; namely β-product. We give sufficient conditions for the β-product of two PFGs to be strong and we prove if the β-product of two PFGs is complete, then one of them is strong. We also study the unbiased notion of the class of PFGs and necessary and sufficient conditions for the β-product to be unbiased are given.

구치용 도재소부금관과 전부도재관에 파절을 일으키는 한국음식에 관한 연구 (A comparative study on the correlation between Korean foods and the fractures of PFG and all ceramic crowns for posterior applications)

  • 연구목적: 4종 구치용도재관(Full-porcelain-occlusal-surfaced PFG, Half-porcelain-occlusal-surfaced PFG, Empress 2, Ice Zirkon)과 선별된 한국음식의 fracture load와 dynamic cyclic load를 측정하여 구치용 도재관에 파절을 일으킬 가능성이 있는 한국음식을 선별하는데 있다. 연구재료 및 방법: 4종의 각 porcelain 보철물 system 당 15개의 축대칭을 이루는 crown을 제작했다. 이때 occlusal reduction은 1.5-2.0 mm로 했다(중심부 1.5 mm, 교두부 2.0 mm). 각 15개의 시편의 교합면 중앙부에 직경 5 mm의 stainless steel ball을 위치시킨 후 Instron 4465 universal testing machine(Instron, Norwood, MA USA)을 이용하여 5 mm/min의 crosshead speed로 수직 부하를 주어 파절을 일으키는 최대 부하(N)를 기록했다. 이후, 한국음식 중 삶은 게, 닭(뼈포함), 소갈비(뼈포함), 마른 오징어, 건멸치, 사탕, 호두껍질을 표본으로 설정하고 이들을 파절시키는 최대 부하(N)를 universal testing machine(Instron 4465) 에서 측정하여 기록했다. 각 항목당 15번을 측정했다. 음식물을 파절시킬 때 필요한 최대부하와 각 보철물의 파절저항을 비교하여 한국의 식습관과 도재를 이용한 보철물 파절의 상관관계를 조사하였다. fracture loads는 analysis of variance 와 Post Hoc tests를 이용해서 분석하였다($\alpha$=0.05). 차후에 위에서 얻은 결과를 바탕으로 Hydraulic Dynamic Fatigue Testing Machine(858 Bionix II, MTS systems, Eden Prairie, MN USA)를 이용하여 4종의 각 porcelain 보철물 system당 5개의 crown에 14Hz Cyclic Load를 가하여 crown에 파절을 일으키는 masticatory cycle수를 알아 보았다. Load 수치는 41.0 N(건멸치 파절강도), 169.0 N(마른오징어 파절강도), 382.9 N(닭뼈 파절강도), 2224.8 N(사탕 파절강도)로 설정하였다. 결과: 95% confidence intervals for mean fracture load는 2599.3-2809.1 N(완전도재교합면 PFG), 3689.4-3819.9 N(반도재교합면 PFG), 1501.2-1867.9 N(Ice Zirkon), 803.2-1188.5 N(Empress 2)로 나왔고 95% confidence intervals for dynamic cyclic load on fracture는 instron 상에서 도재보철물에 파절을 일으키지 않은 load인 2224.8 N(사탕 파절강도)와 382.9 N(닭뼈 파절강도)로 실험했을 때, 2224.8 N에서 4796.8-9321.2 cycles(완전도재교합면 PFG), 2224.8 N에서 881705.1-1143565.7 cycles(반도재교합면 PFG), 382.9 N에서 979993.0-1145773.4 cycles(Ice Zirkon), 382.9 N에서 564.1-954.7 cycles(Empress 2)로 나왔다. 결론: 통계학적으로 유의할 만한 차이가 그룹들 간 fracture load에서 나타났다. 한국음식물 중 소갈비(뼈포함)와 사탕(자두맛캔디)은 구치용 도재보철물을 파절시킬 가능성이 있는 음식물로 밝혀졌다. 단일수직부하에서는 파절이 생기지 않는 경우라 할지라도 dynamic cyclic load를 줄 경우 일정 주기 후에 파절이 생기는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

표백방법에 따른 Slavich PFG-01 홀로그래피 회절격자의 회절효율 특성 (Diffraction Efficiency Characteristics of Holographic Grating derived from Slavich PFG-01 by a Bleach Technique)

  • 본 연구에서는 은염 물질인 Slavich PFG-01을 사용하여 투과형 홀로그래피 회절격자를 제작하고, 고효율의 회절격자 제작을 위한 현상액의 조성 등과 같은 화학적 처리 과정의 조건들을 파악하고, 반전표백과 무정착 은염 재생성 표백에 의한 회절격자의 회절 효율 특성에 대해 알아보았다. 현상액 AAC를 사용하여 반전표백에서 89.0%과 무정착 은염 재생성 표백에서 82.1%의 최대회절효율을 얻었으며, 무정착 은염 재생성 표백의 경우는 반전표백에 비해 높은 노출에너지가 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 기존의 홀로그래피 기록물질인 Agfa 8E75HD나 BB-640로 보고된 회절효율에 비해 더 높은 회절효율 얻을 수 있었으며, 기록물질 특성 차이로 인해 더 높은 노출에너지가 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 한 가지 현상 주약으로 이루어진 현상액에 비해 두가지 현상 주약을 혼합한 경우 더 높은 회절효율을 얻을 수 있었으며, 대체로 반전표백에 비해 무정착 은염 재생성 표백에서 높은 회절효율을 나타내었다.

PFG NMR Study of Intra-cellular Drug Uptake in Xenopus laevis Oocyte

  • Intra-cellular drug uptake in Xenopus laevis oocyte has been elucidated using localized MR spectroscopy (MRS) and PFG NMR techniques at a 600 $MH_z$(Bruker, 14.1 T) NMR spectrometer. The localized MRS has been done with a homemade probe, and shows the intra-cellular uptake of nicotinamide. The self-diffusion of the molecule in Xenopus oocyte was obtained by PFG NMR technique. The measured data are well fitted with a linear combination of two exponential functions, which shows that there are two types of drug molecules, intra-and extra-cellular molecules. Diffusion coefficients of intra- and extra-cellular drug molecules are 3.7 $\times$ $10^{-11}$ $\m^{2}/s$and 6.4 $\times$ $10^{-10}$ $\m^{2}/s$, respectively. In the weighting factors there is shown that about 5% of drug molecule is inside the cells. These techniques can be used for drug screening in molecule-, cell-, and tissue-based preclinical test.

도재소부용 18K 금합금의 미량원소의 첨가에 따른 물리적 성질의 변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Change of Physical Property in Porcelain Fused to 18K Gold Alloy by Small Additional Elements)

  • A variety of the porcelain fused to gold(PFG) have been developed to which porcelain can be fused. PFG alloys developed for this purposed have a high melting point and do not discolor when combined with porcelain. The design of the compositions of PFG is very important to esthetic restorative materials applying to porcelain. The purpose of this study is on the change of physical and mechanical characteristics in PFG 18K alloy by the small additional elements. Principal results are as follows. The high Au alloy containing 18Karat gold contents is respectively Au(75%), Pd(10%), Pt(4%), Ag(4%), In(2%), Sn(2%), Cu(2%), Ti(1%). These alloys are composed mainly of gold, platinum, silver and palladium with a few percent of the additional elements. By the addition of small amounts of elements such as In, Sn, Ti, the fine grain castings are produced in gold alloy and the small addition of platinum is very effective in increasing of hardness and strength. These gold alloys are representative of the changes to be expected as a result of heat treatment. These changes in strength and hardness values are sufficient to demonstrate a significant difference in performance between a as-casted and a heat-treated. These alloys have mechanical properties characteristics of Type and Type gold alloys. These alloys are useful to porcelain-metal restorations and dental laboratory. Also the porcelain fused to metal(PFM) alloys containing gold are commonly use for dental purposes in dental laboratory.

섬유성 강화 컴포지트를 사용한 임플랜트 고정성 보철물의 굴곡강도 (FLEXURAL STRENGTH OF IMPLANT FIXED PROSTHESIS USING FIBER REINFORCED COMPOSITE)

  • Statement of problem : Use of fiber composite technology as well as development of nonmetal implant prosthesis solved many problems due to metal alloy substructure such as corrosion. toxicity, difficult casting, expensiveness and esthetic limit. After clinical and laboratory test, we could find out that fiber-reinforced composite prostheses have good mechanical properties and FRC can make metal-free implant prostheses successful. Purpose : The purpose of this study is to evaluate the flexural strength of implant fixed prosthesis using fiber reinforced composite. Material and methods : 2-implant fixture were placed in second premolar and second molar area in edentulous mandibular model, and their abutments were placed, and bridge prostheses using gold, PFG, Tescera, and Targis Vectris were fabricated. Tescera was made in 5 different designs with different supplements. Group I was composed by 3 bars with diameter 1.0mm and 5 meshes, 2 bars and 5 meshes for Group II, 1 bar and 5 meshes for Group III, and only 5 meshes were used for Group IV. And Group V is composed by only 3 bars. Resin (Tescera) facing was made to buccal part of pontic of gold bridge. All of gold and PFG bridges were made on one model, 5 Targis Vectris bridges were also made on one model, and 25 Tescera bridges were. made on 3 models. Each bridge was attached to the test model by temporary cement and shallow depression was formed near central fossa of the bridge pontic to let 5 mm metal ball not move. Flexual strength was marked in graph by INSTRON. Results : The results of the study are as follows. The initial crack strength was the highest on PFG. and in order of gold bridge Tescera I, Tescera II, Targis vectris, Tescera IV, Tescera III, and Tescera V. The maximum strength was the highest on gold bridge, and in order of PFG, Tescera I, Tescera IV Tescera II, Targis vectris, Tescera III, and Tescera V. Conculsions : The following conclusions were drawn from the results of this study. 1. Flextural strength of implant prosthesis using fiber reinforced composite was higher than average posterior occlusal force. 2. In initial crack strength, Tescera I was stronger than Tescera V, and weaker than PFG. 3. Kinds and number of auxillary components had an effect on maximum strength, and maximum strength was increased as number of auxillary components increased. 4 Maximum strength of Tescera I was higher than Targis vectris, and lower than PFG.

  • Antiphase character of cross peaks in long-range COSY is modulated by changing the fixed delay time and used to assign diastereotopic methylene protons on rigid systems which could produce unpredictable NOE phenomena because of complicate coupling spins.

  • Silver-halide sensitized gelatin(SHSG)의 처리 과정에서 silver-halide입자가 감광유제(emulsion)로부터 제거되고, 노출영역과 비노출영역 사이의 gelatin경화정도로 인한 굴절률 변조로 홀로그램 이미지를 기록한다. 일반적으로 널리 사용되는 홀로그램 감광물질로는 silver-halide, dichromated gelatin, photoresist, photochrome 등이 있는데, 이중 silver-halide는 다른 감광물질과 비교하여 고해상도와 큰 감광대역폭, 높은 S/N비, 취급의 용이성과 경제적 이점, 균일한 제품으로 상용화될 수 있다는 점에서 가장 편리하게 사용되고 있는 기록 매질이다.
