플라스틱 포장재의 잔존 인쇄 용제 감소 방안 (Study about decreasing methods of printing ink solvents residue amounts on plastic food package materials)

  • Amount of residual ink solvent on the packaging materials from Korea, Japan and Europe was measured and compared. The amount of packaging materials from Korea was much higher than that of Japan and Europe. To reduce the residual amounts of ink solvent, aging condition of printed packaging materials including aging time and temperature was modified and evaluated. Aging with high temperature and short time ($60^{\circ}C$ and 24 hours) was more effective for reduction of residual amount of ink solvent than that with low temperature and long time. To find out change of reduction pattern of residual amount of solvent according to plastic packaging material, several monolayer and multilayer packaging materials were selected. Among the monolayer packaging materials, the amount of EVOH and PET was lower than that of polyolefin plastic film including PE and PP. PP/EVOH/PET among the selected multilayer film showed the lowest amount of residual ink solvent on food packaging materials. Result of this research revealed that the residual amount of ink solvent can be reduced by proper selection of aging condition with and by appropriate application of mutilayer plastic film.

천연 항산화제와 포장재질이 Waffle의 산화 안정성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Natural Antioxidant and Packaging Material on the Oxidative Stability of Waffle)

  • 본 연구에서는 waffel의 제조에 있어 산패를 억제시키는 천연 항산화제를 첨가하여 항산화 효과를 조사하고 포장재질에 따른 품질변화를 측정하였다. 천연 항산화제를 waffle에 혼합하여 첨가하였을 경우 $25^{\circ}C$와 35$^{\circ}C$의 조건 모두 tocopherol에 rosemary 200 ppm을 혼합한 것이 저장기간에 유지의 산패를 효과적으로 억제하였다. 특히 선택되어진 tocopherol과 rosemary의 혼합 항산화제를 첨가하여 포장재별 가스치환율과 과산화물가를 측정한 결과 OPP 재질보다는 PET 포장재질이 우수하였다. 결론적으로 waffle의 저장기간을 늘이기 위해서는 천연항산화제인 tocopherol과 rosemary를 혼합하여 사용하고 PET 포장으로 제품화하였을 때 가장 효과적이라 할 수 있겠다.

Comparison of Injection Molding Characteristics according to Thickness Variations of Preform for PET bottle

  • Due to the problem of environmental pollution by plastics, it is necessary to decrease their consumption. In the case of PET bottles, it is essential to reduce the thickness of the bottle for the reduction of plastic used. For manufacturing PET bottles with reduced thickness, it is a prerequisite to design a preform with reduced thickness and study its molding capability. In this study, the injection molding capability was investigated after reducing the body thickness of the preform to 15% and 20%, respectively, for the two preform models currently in use. Injection molding analysis was performed on the existing models and on the models for reduced weight, under the molding conditions of the existing models. Using the computed results, temperature distribution, pressure distribution, deformation and clamping force were compared. Based on the analysis, the injection conditions of the preform model with less thickness were discussed.

포장재질이 김치의 품질변화에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Packaging Material on Quality of Kimchi During Storage)

  • 김치를 Ny/PE, Ny/CPP(PP tray+Ny/CPP cover), Cryovac BK-1, BK-4, PET/Al/PE film으로 포장하여 $5^{\circ}C$ (97%RH), $20^{\circ}C$ (76%RH)에서 저장 중 품질변화를 살펴보았다. 김치의 품질을 평가하기 위하여 포장내 가스조성, pH, 산도, 색도, 젖산균 수, 기호도를 기간별로 측정하였다. 포장내 가스조성은 PET/Al/PE film 포장김치가 저장초기에 산소농도가 높았고, 저장말기에 이산화탄소농도가 거의 100% 수준에 달하였다. Cryovac BK-1, BK-4로 포장된 김치는 발효가 진행되면서 이산화탄소농도가 증가하다가 가스투과성에 의한 이산화탄소의 방출과 외부공기의 유입으로 산소농도는 증가하고 이산화탄소농도는 감소하는 형태를 보였으며 저장말기까지 Ny/PE, Ny/CPP, PET/Al/PE와는 달리 포장의 팽배화 현상은 나타나지 않았다. pH 변화는 포장재질에 따른 차이가 크지 않았으나 Cryovac BK-1, BK-4가 저장중 다른 포장재질에 비하여 약간 낮은 pH를 나타냈으며, 산도는 약간 높았다. 저장중 김치의 색도변화가 포장재질에 따라 달랐으며, 포장재질별 젖산균수, 기호도 변화는 저장온도 모두에서 유의적인 차이가 없는것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 종합하여 본 실험에 사용한 포장재질이 김치의 품질에 미치는 영향은 크게 다르지 않다고 여겨졌고, 저장 및 유통시 문제점인 팽배화현상을 방지하기 위해서는 현재 업체에서 사용하는 기체차단성이 높은 포장재보다는 상대적으로 이산화탄소의 투과도가 높은 포장재의 사용이 바람직하다고 사료된다.

  • (사)한국페트병자원순환협회는 PET병 재활용에 관계된 한국과 일본의 PET병 재활용 관련 단체 등의 정기적인 교류를 통해 정보를 교환하고 협력방안을 모색하기 위한 정기교류회를 실시하고 있다. 2013년도 정기교류회 세미나에서는 국내 PET병 재질 구조 사전 평가제도 및 정책 동향에 대한 설명과 함께 일본용기포장재활용제도에 대한 안내와 재활용 동향에 대한 소개가 있었다. 본 고에서는 일본 PET병 재활용 연차보고서를 통해 PET병의 재활용 동향을 살펴보도록 한다.

블로우 성형품 자동 패키징 시스템 개발 (Development of the automatic packaging system for blow molding products)

  • In this paper, the automatic assembly and packaging system was developed for PET blow molding products. The PET blow molding products mainly are used in groceries case and are in great demand. Generally, the molding process is compose of 4 processes such as plastic resin injection, molding, ejecting and packaging. In case of packaging process, although amount of work per hour is very large, all processes are still performed by the manual work. For this reason, the automatic packaging system was developed with the function of automatic hand-grip part assembly. For the development of system, the existing processes and the shape of molding product were analyzed and specifications were deducted. Finally, the automatic assembly and packaging system was developed and applied to the manufacturing field.

재생 페트 플레이크의 시장 현황과 품질 평가 방안 연구 (Study on the Market Conditions and Quality Evaluation Methods of post-consumer Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate (PCR PET) Flake)

  • PCR PET flake's market endeavors difficult situations of its oversupply and decreasing demands in South Korea. Since China banned the import of most recycled plastics, flake producers who mostly export the flakes lost their biggest market. The producers struggled to survive in the competitions with PCR PET flake from EU and 3rd countries but it was challenging due to substandard quality and increasing cost. Attempts to improve the quality of PCR PET flake have been made but they were only an individual company's efforts. The objective of this study was to understand the market status on PCR PET flake in South Korea and to present suggestions for improving its quality. The results of the questionnaires targeted to flake producers showed that no testing methods on PCR PET flake were standardized and there were critical factors to the quality such as moisture content, contaminants, and viscosity. Case studies of US, Japan and other countries had been done especially about testing methods and 76 samples from 21 companies were tested according to those methods. Based on the results, the final factors were decided as contaminants, moisture content, alkalinity index and intrinsic viscosity. There is a plan to standardize testing methods and they could be guidelines to improve the business competitiveness of PCR PET flake in South Korea.
