눈깜작임, 증감뇌유발전위와 성격의 상호관계 (Eyeblinks, EP Augmenting / Reducing and Personality)

  • 목 적 : 눈깜작임은 뇌에서 감각을 조절하는 기능과 관계된 개인의 인지능력과 성격에 따라 달라질 수 있다. 저자들은 이러한 성격이 눈깜작임과 증감뇌유발전위 등과 상호 어떠한 연관이 있는지를 연구하려고 하였다. 방법 : 44 명의 정상 대학생에게 증감뇌유발전위, 눈깜작임과 Zuckerman 의 감각추구척도와 Eysenck 성격설문지 동을 조사하여 그 상호관계를 분석하였다. 결 과 : 증감뇌유발전위에서 빛의 강도가 증가할수록 눈깜작임이 증가하였다. 대부분의 성격척도에서 눈깜작임과 유의한 역상관관계를 보였으며 신경증척도만이 정상관관계를 보였다. 눈깜작임과 증감유발전위의 기울기와 가장 강한 정상관관계를 보인 뇌의 부위는 우측 후 측두엽이었다. 결 론 : 감각추구경향이 강할수록 눈을 적게 깜작이었다. 유발전위보다 눈깜작임이 성격과 더 높은 상관관계를 보여 눈깜작임이 더 일차적인 필터 역할을 한다고 생각된다. 그리고 우측 후 측두엽은 여러 뇌 부위 중 시각을 조절하는데 가장 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 유추된다.

아동의 인성특성, 부모에 대한 애착 및 부부갈등과 또래괴롭힘 (Correlates of Peer Victimization : Personality Traits, Parent Attachment, and Marital Conflict)

  • In this study of the correlates of peer victimization, 584 $4^{th}$ grade children in Seoul answered questionnaires regarding their personality traits, parent attachment and the marital conflict of their parents. Subjects and their peers also reported on peer aggression and victimization by peers. Data were analyzed by partial correlation, controlling for gender. Children's sociability/activity related positively to peer-rated peer aggression and negatively to self- and peer-rated victimization by peers. Children's shyness/emotionality related positively to self-reported peer aggression and to self- and peer-rated victimization by peers. Parent attachment related negatively to self-reported peer aggression and victimization by peers and positively to peer-rated peer aggression. Marital conflict related positively to self-reported peer aggression and to self- and peer-rated victimization by peers. Marital conflict was the most influential on peer aggression and children's personality traits were on victimization by peers.

구조화 정도가 다른 문제 상황에서 문제발견에 대한 제 변인의 상대적 기여도에서의 남녀 차이 (Gender Differences Between the Relative Contributions of Variables to Problem Finding in Ill-structured and Moderately Structured Problem Situation)

  • The 166 elementary school students of this study were divided into four groups by gender and degree of structure in problem situations. Written instruments ascertained intelligence, conceptual knowledge, science process skills, divergent thinking, intrinsic/extrinsic motivation, personality traits, and home environment. Results were that male students scored higher on problem finding in the ill-structured than in the moderately structured problem situation. In the ill-structured problem situation, personality traits, conceptual knowledge, and intrinsic motivation contributed to the scores of male students and home environment and conceptual knowledge contributed to the scores of female students. In the moderately structured problem situation, personality traits and intrinsic motivation contributed to the scores of all students, but science process skills contributed to the scores of female students only.

Employee Resistance in the Context of Information Systems Implementation : An Organizational Support Perspective

  • When implementing a new information system, the success has been infrequent even though implementing a new IS can bring about various benefits to organizations. Employee resistance has been identified as a critical reason for such failure of implementing and operating a new IS. The vital role of orgazniational support with employee personality traits (e.g., tolerance for ambiguity and openness to expeirence) to reduce employee resistance has been missing when explaining to the failure of impleneting a new IS. The purpose of this study was to test a research model regarding employee resistnace, investigating the relationship bewteen organizational support and employee personality traits in that how organizational support influences employee resistance and also how employee personality traits (e.g., tolerance for ambiguity and openness to expeirence) interact with organizational support to decrease employee resistance the most. The results of this study supported our hypotheses and theoretical and practical implications are discussed.

초등학교 아동의 과학적 문제 발견 능력에 영향을 미치는 관련 변인에서의 남녀 차이 (Gender Differences in the Factors Affecting Elementary School Students' Ability to Identify Scientific Problems)

  • This study investigated gender differences in the factors affecting elementary school students' ability to identify scientific problems. Scientific problem finding tasks, involving written instruments including IQ tests, content knowledge, science process skills, divergent thinking skills, intrinsic/extrinsic motivation, personality traits, and home environment were administered to 96 elementary school students(male; 50 & female: 46). The data collected was analyzed by means of a t-test, Pearson's correlation, multiple regression analysis, and canonical correlation analysis. The finding indicated that there were significant gender differences in scientific problem finding performance. Female students were significantly higher in both total score and elaborate score of scientific problem finding than male students. Personality traits and intrinsic motivation positively and extrinsic motivation negatively predicted male students' abilities in scientific problem finding. Science process skills, personality traits and intrinsic motivation positively and extrinsic motivation negatively predicted female students' scientific problem finding and IQ positively predicted female students' elaborate score of scientific problem finding.

소비자의 성격이 제품 구매의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Influence of Consumer's Personality Traits on the purchase Intention)

  • This paper aims to investigate the difference in perception about businesses' diverse marketing-mix activities depending on personality traits and its influence upon consumers' buying intention. For this research, a total of 400 men and women in Seoul and nearby capital areas, the most potent buyers of cell phones mostly in their 20s, were randomly chosen for questionnaires. Among them, 298 were finally selected in consideration of the validity of their responses. This paper is founded on two hypotheses; there may be some difference in perception about marketing-mix activities depending on personality traits and perceived marketing-mix activities may affect consumers' buying intention. For statistical analyses, this paper employs the SPSSWIN 14.0. The results are as follows;

유아의 학습준비도에 대한 창의적 특성과 성격 및 사회인구학적 변인 (Young Children's Creative Traits, Personality, and Demographic Variables to Their Learning Readiness)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between the young children's creative trait and personality affecting their learning readiness. The participants were 131 young children in kindergartens or nursery schools and their mothers from Seoul, Gyeonggi and Chungnam province. The instruments were the Korea Learning Readiness Test, Young Children's Creative Traits Test, and Young Children's Personality Test. The data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA, t-test, Pearson's partial correlation, stepwise multiple regression, and Scheff$\'{e}$ test by SPSS PC(version17.0) program. The results were as follows. Firstly, there were no significant differences in young children's learning readiness, creative trait and personality by children's age, location, school type, father's age, mother's educational level and mother's job type, while there were significant differences in the creative trait and the subfactor scores of personality by children's sex, father's educational level and parents' job type. Secondly, there was a positive partial correlation(r = .20~.24) between young children's learning readiness and creative trait, while there were no correlations between their learning readiness and personality and between their personality and creative trait. Thirdly, cognitive factor of creative trait and father's educational level did not effectively explain the children's learning readiness.

공황장애 환자의 성격특성과 임상적 의의 (Personality Trait in Panic Disorder Patient and Its Clinical Significance)

  • 공황장애 환자에서 동반되는 인격장애의 양상을 조사하고, 인격장애 특성의 과다(過多)에 따른 공황증상의 심각도, 만성도, 전반적인 정신병리의 차이를 알아보고자 자기보고형 측정도구인 Personality Disorder Questionnaire-Revised(PDQ-R)와 간이 정신상태검사(SCL-90-R)를 이용하여 조사하였다. 대상은 전형적인 공황장애 환자 45명과 성별. 나이, 교육정도를 조합한 건강대조군 45명이었으며 이들에게 PDQ-R을 실시하여 공황장애 환자군과 대조군의 인격장애 양상을 비교 조사하였다. 또한 공황장애 환자만을 대상으로 공황증상의 심각도와 함께 SCL-90-R로 인격장애 동반여부에 따른 증상의 차이를 조사하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1) 공황장애 환자들은 대조군에 비하여 전체 PDQ-R점수가 유의하게 높게 나타나 차이가 있었다. 공황장애군은 대조군에 비하여 편집성, 의존성, 회피성 인격의 특징과 함께 반사회성, 경계성 경향을 나타내었다. 2) PDQ-R총점이 높은 집단과 낮은 집단 사이에 광장공포증상과 불안증상이 유의한 차이가 있었으나, 공황발작 빈도, 공황증상의 최근 심각도, 공포증상으로 인한 사회적 기능장애, 만성도 여부, 광장공포증 때 회피 및 공포증상의 정도에는 차이가 없었다. 3) SCL-90-R을 이용하여 동반증상을 알아본 결과 PDQ-R총점이 높은 군은 낮은 군에 비하여 모든 증상 항목이 의미 있게 높게 나타났다. 이러한 본 연구의 결과는 PDQ-R을 이용한 인격장애 측정시 동반증상이 영향을 미쳐 혼합되어 나타났을 가능성을 고려해야 하겠으며 앞으로 더욱 체계적인 조사방법과 함께 추적조사를 통하여 치료에 따른 인격장애의 변화를 관찰해야 하겠다.

5-HTTLPR과 COMT 유전자 다형성과 성격 특성에 대한 연합연구 (An Association Study of the 5-HTTLPR and COMT Genes Polymorphisms and Personality Traits)

  • Background:Serotonin transporter gene-linked polymorphism region(5-HTTLPR) and catechol-O-methyltransferase( COMT) genes are thought to be important factors in some personality traits and the etiology of anxiety disorder. The goal of this study was to determine the role of these genes in personality traits. Method:The participants included 116 healthy adults with no history of psychiatric disorders and other physical illness for the last 6 months. All participants were tested by Temperament and Character Inventory(TCI). The 5-HTTLPR, COMT val158met gene polymorphisms were analyzed with PCR(Polymerase Chain Reaction). Differences on TCI dimensions and sub-scales among groups were examined with t-test and ANOVA. Result:There were possible relationships of the 5-HTTLPR with self-transcendence(P=0.050) and COMT val158met polymorphism with cooperativeness(P=0.053). Conclusion:We found associations between 5-HTTLPR, COMT polymorphisms and the some TCI character dimensions. Further studies of polymorphisms of other genes and their interactions may clarify the complex relationship between personality and genes.

정상인과 신체장애자의 성격특성이 의복행동에 미치는 영향 (Clothing Behavior Related to Selected Personality Traits of the Normal and Disabled Females)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between personality traits and clothing behavior of the normal and disabled females, and to find out the difference in clothing behavior of the two groups. Questionaires for clothing behavior were chosen from the items which had been used in previous studies, and the items were selected on the basis of Cronbach's Alpha Reliability Coefficient. Clothing behavior was composed of four variables: aesthetics; comfort; modesty; and satisfaction. For measurement of 3 personality traits (emotional stability, sociability, and superiority), a portion of 'Personality Inventory' b) Sangro Lee, Changjin Byeon, and Wuigyo Jin was used. Samples were 286 females in Seoul, of whom 110 were normal high school girls, 86 were norma1 college women, 41 were disabled high school girls, and 49 were disabled college women. The data were analyzed using F-test, F-test, and correlation coefficient. The results of the study were the followings: 1. There were meaningful relationships between personality traits and clothing behavior 1) Stability had negative relations to aesthetics and modesty and positive relation to satisfaction. In the case of the normal, stability had no relation to comfort, but in the case of the disabled, it had positive relation to comfort. 2) The sociability had positive relations to aesthetics and satisfaction. 3) The superiority had negative relation to modesty, it had positive relation to satisfaction. The superiority of the normal had negative relation to comfort, whereas the superiority of the disabled had positive relation to comfort. 2. There was a difference in the clothing aesthetics between the normal and the disabled. 3. In case of the normal, college women regarded comfort less important than high school girls. In case of the disabled, college women regarded comfort more important than high school girls. 4. In upper class, there was no difference on the clothing comfort between the normal and the disabled. But there was difference on comfort between the normal and the disabled in low class.
