  • The paper introduces the application of flood monitoring and assessment by remote sensing and GIS in china and describes the frame of operational system for practical performance of flood disaster mitigation. In addition, The operational system for flood monitoring and assessment in RSTAC/ MWR and its application in the floods of 1998,1999 in china are introduced.

  • The following is the basic problem about the stability in Riemannian Geometry; given a Riemannian manifold N, find all stable complete minimal submanifolds of N. As answers of this problem, do Carmo-Peng [1] and Fischer-Colbrie and Schoen [3] showed that the stable minimal surfaces in R$^{3}$ are planes and Schoen-Yau [5] and Fischer-Colbrie and Schoen [3] gave a solution for the case where the ambient space is a three dimensional manifold with nonnegative scalar curvature. In this paper we will remove the assumption of finite absolute total curvature in [3, Theorem 3].

  • Let Λ be an Artin algebra and mod Λ the category of finitely generated right Λ-modules. We prove that the radical layer length of Λ is an upper bound for the radical layer length of mod Λ. We give an upper bound for the extension dimension of mod Λ in terms of the injective dimension of a certain class of simple right Λ-modules and the radical layer length of DΛ.

  • In this paper, without assumption of monotonicity, we study the compactness and the connectedness of the weakly efficient solutions set to vector equilibrium problems by using scalarization method in locally convex spaces. Our results improve the corresponding results in [X. H. Gong, Connectedness of the solution sets and scalarization for vector equilibrium problems, J. Optim. Theory Appl. 133 (2007), 151-161].
