In this work, a possible new PD detection technique, based on the electro-optic effect, has been proposed. A proto-type probe sensor for detection partial discharge is made by $LiNbO_3$ Pockels cell, diachroic sheet polarizer and right-angle prism. The Mach-Zehnder interferometer system is proposed by using this sensor and this system is applied to detecting high electric field. we show the characteristic of the proto-type probe sensor and the design of a proposed probe type sensor.

We studied the partial discharge detecting by sensing electromagnetic wave emitted from the partial discharge source in the HV Rotating Machine with the new prototype patch antenna sensor. In this study, we design new type of patch antenna based on microstrip technology and make many experiments of elaine testing compare with the existing HFCT and EM probe on stator winding of HV generator in the laboratory. This paper will mention comparison of experimental results based on the three kinds of sensors.

In this paper, we developed HPF (high pass filter) consisted of lumped LC components to decrease the noises that are detected in PD (partial discharge) measuring test, and adapted it to field test. We tested under laboratory circumstances like the fields, and measured the phase change properties of detected signal in UHF sensor with Lemke probe and oscilloscope (TDS-3054, Tektronix).

We developed an on-line Ultra-high frequency partial discharge monitoring system to prevent a catastrophic failure of gas- insulated switchgears. The system has been tested in the laboratory for detection of various UHF PD signals. We also performed detection sensitivity verification tests and compared them with conventional IEC60270 method.

본 논문은 모의GIS(내에서 부분방전(partial discharge:PD) 발생 시 방사되는 전자파 신호를 두 개의 UHF(Ultra-High Frequency)타임 혼형안테나(Time-Do main Antennas: NBS-200)를 설계제작하여 오실로스코프를 이용한 부분방전의 위치검출에 관해 연구하였다. 실험조건은 GIS내에 금속 파티클을 넣고 전압을 32[kV]로 고정하여 파티클의 활발한 진동시에 방사되는 전자파 신호를 오실로스코프를 사용하여 측정된 두 신호의 시간차를 이용하여 추정하였다.

This paper is analyzed the internal type UHF sensors that be able to monitor the condition of the distribution facilities and the location selecting of that sensors. It set the PD cell on the inside of 22.9kV load switchgear and then it executed Partial Discharge test. it introduced the result of the test.

The polymer nano composite possess good priority recently for engineering applications. Especially the electrical insulating materials attract the high performance of nano composites. In this work the ballmill synthesiation process of nano sized Alumina ($Al_2O_3$), the preparation of new nano composite material with an content of enamel and synthesized Alumina as 1wt%, 3wt% and 5wt%. Experimental investigation has been carried out for the prepared nano composites materials with respect to dielectric parameter measurements such as dielectric loss (tan ${\delta}$), dielectric constant (${\varepsilon}$), dielectric strength under various temperature. The partial discharge level also measured for all the samples and the PD inception voltage is also observed and compared. Weight loss of the material has been analyzed through TGA. It has been experimentally proved that 3wt% of Alumina nano filler added enamel has significant improvement in the dielectric and thermal properties.

This paper is the study for the separating noise signal that is the greatest problem in ultrasonic signal measurement which is one of the method of estimation of partial discharge signals location. Because we can measure the number and location of signal, it is possible to distinguish between the signal of partial discharge and the external noise. Therefore, we can develop the credibility of detecting of insulating deterioration in transformer.

The use of ultrasound is proposed as the most economic and practical nondestructive test method for the detectin of electrical degradation in insulating materials. This paper has studied identification and characterization of partial discharge signals according to defects in GIS using AE(acoustic emission)sensor. Analysis of PD signals use $\psi-v-n$, skewness and kurtosis.

In order to detect of insulation problems an early, transformer has to be performed the several tests. The ac current and tan6 of transformer winding insulation were investigated by Schering bridge. Partial discharge(PD) tests are used to evaluate the insulation condition of transformer. The moisture content measurement was conducted using RVM(recovery voltage meter). The RVM test can show that the problem is affecting the paper insulation of transformer. The value of moisture content was 2.3% in main transformer. The insulations of four transformers were judged to be in good condition.
