인위적인 결함을 이용한 기존의 저주파 부분방전과 고주파 부분방전의 패턴 비교 연구 (A comparison of the conventional LFPD and HFPD patterns by use of artificial)

  • In this paper, Partial Discharge(PD) patterns are compared by means of Low Frequency PD(LFPD, based on the IEC 270) and recently proposed High Frequency PD(HFPD). For this purpose, three different types of artificial defects are provided such as corona in air, void in epoxy insulator and needle defect in XLPE cable insulation. PD were generated from each defect and then detected respectively by two different methods such as LFPD and HFPD. As a result, remarkable resemblance in PD pattern for differ detecting method have been observed from each defect. Accordingly, it could be deduced that the pattern recognition by LFPD could be regarded as the reference for the investigations by HFPD.

  • In this paper, we carried out a comparative analysis of partial discharge(PD) patterns caused by deterioration of cast-resin and oil insulation systems. Various electrode systems were fabricated such as needle-needle, needle-plane and plane-plane to simulate defects that may exist in the insulation system of transformers. A low-noise amplifier which has a gain of 40 dB and a frequency bandwidth of 500 kHz $\sim$ 30 MHz (-3 dB) was designed to detect small PD signals. From the analysis of acquired PD signals, we could find that a unique PD pattern is formed according to types of defect. These data will be applied usefully to diagnose insulation condition of transformers.

  • In this paper, we have studied for analysis of the partial discharge(PD) signal in power transmission line. The PD signal has estimated as detected signal accumulation of a PRPDA method by using Labview, and analyzed with neuro-fuzzy algorithm. With practical PD logic implementation of theoretical detected system and hardware implementation, the device for Hipotronics Company's 22.9kV or 154kV setup has generated and then has applied with 18kV,20kV with 1:1 time probe. It's also used the LDPE O.27mmt (scratch error O.05mmt) to sample for making PD. Our new class of PD detected algorithm has also compared with previous PRPDA or Fuzzy algorithm, which has diagnose more conveniently by adding numerical values.

  • ERA PD measuring system has been using for partial discharge evaluation of power appratus in test laboratories. So, the measurement uncertainty of PD measuring system (ERA), such as PD pulse calibrator rise and fall time, sacle factor(k) and linearity, transfer impedance etc, is very important factor of test result in test laboratory. In this paper, we describe tracebility and uncertainty improvement of PD measuring system in test laboratory based on IEC 60270.

  • The paper considers the relation between on-line monitoring and diagnostics on the one hand and high-voltage (HV) withstand and partial discharge (PD) on-site testing on the other. HV testing supplies the basic data (fingerprints) for diagnostics. In case of warnings by on-line diagnostic systems, off-line withstand and PD testing delivers the best possible information about defects and enables the classification of the risk. Because alternating voltage (AC) is the most important test voltage, the AC generation on site is considered. Frequency tuned resonant (ACRF) test systems are best adapted to on-site conditions. They can be simply combined with PD measuring equipment. The available ACRF test systems and their application to electric power equipment -from cable systems to power transformers - is introduced.

  • Until now variable pattern classification methods have been introduced. So, variable methods in PD source classification were applied. NN(neural network) the most used scheme as a PD(partial discharge) source classification. But in recent year another method were developed. These methods is present superior to NN in the field of image and signal process function of classification. In this paper, it is show classification result in PD source using three methods; that is, BP(back-propagation), ANFIS(adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system), PCA-LDA(principle component analysis-linear discriminant analysis).

  • Detecting partial discharge(PD) and locating its source are one of many diagnosis methods. Location the PD source is very important to reduce the time and cost of repairing power transformers. And to locate the PD source, the cross-correlation method is a well known one. But there many spurious peaks in cross-correlation, and occasionally, some peaks could be bigger than the true one. In order to analysis these spurious peaks and to reduce them, we have done many experiments and simulations. As the results we could reduce the spurious peaks, and get well defined cross-correlation from which it is easy to locate the PD source accurately.

Experimence Study of Trace Water and Oxygen Impact on SF6 Decomposition Characteristics Under Partial Discharge

  • It is common practice to identify the insulation faults of GIS through monitor the contents of SF6 decomposed components. Partial discharges (PD) could lead to the decomposition of SF6 dielectric, so new reactions usually occur in the mixture of the newly decomposed components including traces of H2O and O2. The new reactions also cause the decomposed components to differ due to the different amounts of H2O and O2 even under the same strength of PD. Thus, the accuracy of assessing the insulation faults is definitely influenced when using the concentration and corresponding change of decomposed components. In the present research, a needle-plate electrode was employed to simulate the PD event of a metal protrusion insulation fault for two main characteristic components SO2F2 and SOF2, and to carry out influence analysis of trace H2O and O2 on the characteristic components. The research shows that trace H2O has the capability of catching an F atom, which inhibits low-sulfide SFx from recombining into high-sulfide SF6. Thus, the amount of SOF2 strongly correlates to the amount of trace H2O, whereas the amount of SO2F2 is weakly related to trace H2O. Furthermore, the dilution effect of trace O2 on SOF2 obviously exceeds that of SO2F2.

  • 본 연구에서는 대기중 두가지 형태의 전극부에서 부분방전(partial discharge : PD)시 방사되는 VHF(30∼230 [MHz])대역의 방사전자파를 측정하고, 그 스펙트럼의 특이한 패턴을 나타냈다. 또한 PD에 의해 방사되는 방사전자파에 대한 거리 및 편파특성에 관하여 연구하였다. 에폭시절연체를 삽입한 경우, 방사전자파의 잡음레벨은 90 [MHz] 대역 이하에서 대기중에 비하여 0.6∼6.2 [db] 높게 나타났다. 방사전자파의 스펙트럼 분포는 안테나 엘리먼트 배치에 따라 전주파수 영역에서 차이를 나타내고 있다.

  • PD(partial discharge) occurred from variable PD sources in air may be the cause of breakdown in high voltage equipment which affect huge outage in power system. Identification and localization of PD sources is very important for engineer to cope with huge accident beforhand. PD phenomena can be detected by acoustic emission sensor or electromagnetic sensor like antenna. This paper has investigated the identification method using PCA(principal component analysis) for the PD signals from variable PD sources, for which the electric field distribution and PD inception voltages were simulated by using commercial FEM program. PD signals was detected by ultra wideband antenna. Their own features were extracted as the frequency coefficients transformed with FFT(fast fourier transform) and used to obtain independent pincipal components of each PD signals.
