GUI Design for PC Based Greenhouse (PC 기반 시설 하우스를 위한 GUI 설계)

  • The greenhouse control system is designed by personal computer. This system should observe and control the growth conditions for crops in both plastic film and glass greenhouses. In this contribution puts emphasis on graphical user interface for greenhouse control system by personal computer under the aim of creating safer, more effective and more economical services. This system is developed for the requirements of the intelligent greenhouse control system and gives a lot of convenience for farmer who is not familiar with pc technique. The GUI and control system are programmed by Visual C++ and Visual Basic.

  • According to the active use of internet the need for security in various environment is being emphasized. Moreover with the broad use of Messenger on PC and P2P applications. the security and management of individual hosts on internet became very important issues. Therefore in this paper we propose the design and implementation of a host based access control system for the hosts on internet including window based PC which provides access control, information on packets, and record and monitoring of log files.

  • $\textbullet$ This system executes the algorithm that makes the various types of shape to the flat shape. $\textbullet$ In old system, we could not develop and test the new shape control algorithms $\textbullet$ We developed the PC based cold mill shape control system. $\textbullet$ It can be added on the new shape control algorithm and is cost-effective and maintained easily. $\textbullet$ The shape control system consists of the shape controller, the MMI system and the Shape data sewer.

  • Owing to the development of Internet of Things (IoT), the fifth-generation (5G) wireless communication is going to foresee a substantial increase of mobile traffic demand. Energy efficiency and spectral efficiency are the challenges in a 5G network. Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is a promising technique to increase the system efficiency by adaptive power control (PC) in a 5G network. This paper proposes an efficient PC scheme based on evolutionary game theory (EGT) model for uplink power-domain NOMA system. The proposed PC scheme allows users to adaptively adjusts their transmit power level in order to improve their payoffs or throughput which results in an increase of the system efficiency. In order to separate the user signals, a successive interference cancellation (SIC) receiver installed at the base station (BS) site. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed EGT-based PC scheme outperforms the traditional game theory-based PC schemes and orthogonal multiple access (OMA) in terms of energy efficiency and spectral efficiency.

Development of a Distributed Multi-rate Motion Control System Using USB

  • This paper describes a PC-based distributed multi-rate realtime control system using USB protocol, which is developed as a general motion controller. The control system consists of two control programs: one running at 1 kHz sampling rate on a PC with Linux and another running at 10 kHz sampling rate on a remotely located motion control card called RASID (remote axis serial interface device). Two programs communicates through USB at every 1 msec. A USB communication driver is developed to ensured the 1 msec desired communication time. The main program running on the PC generates reference trajectory at 1 kHz and send it to the RASID through USB and RASIDs located near the motors gather the sensor information and execute the low-level control at 10 kHz. The USB-based connectivity reduces the wiring harness and eventually the manufacturing cost of the machine. The multi-rate nature of the developed system improves the control capability. The effect of sampling rate is analyzed and simulated.

  • To control a greenhouse is to control environmental parameters in greenhouse. Controlled environments may be as simple as saran-covered shade houses or as complex as growth chambers. Although greenhouses are probably the most common example of a controlled environment used in agricultural/horticultural production, the type of controlled environment or system that is needed depends upon the climate, time of year, crops being produced and the environmental parameters that must be controlled. In this contribution puts emphasis on construction of automatic-controlled greenhouse system by personal computer.

  • The low speed control of a servo motor using instantaneous speed detection method is described. To estimate the instantaneous speed from the average speed, the speed estimator of the first or second order is used. We confirm that these estimatorsimprove the speed control performance of a servo system with experiments.

  • In this paper, we implement the multimedia remote control system by using existing internet service or wired online. We also provide user-friendly convenient environment with developed application program named EzPlay and PC-EPG. The multimedia remote control system consists of integrated wireless transceiver of PC and TV connected USB type and the users can easily use lots of contents because EzPlay program provides appropriate UI mode on the PC and TV screen. The unposed system can operate real-time playing, reserved video receding and data storing function using internet mesh based on signal detecting control theory. The PC-EPG system is implemented by server/client web program and the client program based on visual C++/MFC processes data storing in client computer through TCP/IP. It also provides intelligent function that constructs database according to user's preference.

  • In a SI engine, three-way catalyst converter has the best efficiency when A/F ratio is near the stoichiometry. The feedback control using oxygen sensors in the commercial engine has limits caused by the system delays. So it is necessary to control fuel quantity in accordance with intake air amount in order to reduce exhaust emission and improve the specific fuel consumption. Precise A/F ratio control requires measurement of air amount with respect to the cylinder and injection fuel according to the air amount In this paper, we applied nonlinear fuel injection model and developed the algorithm of A/F ratio control. This algorithm includes the methods of measurement of transient air mass flowing into each cylinder, of calculation of injection pulse width for measured air mass, and the method of feedback and engine control by using lambda sensor. Also we developed control program for IBM-PC by using C++ Builder, and tested it in the commercial engine.

  • In this paper, the FPGA-based SoC board (Xilinx Virtex-4 ML401 EVM) is adopted to control electrical power inverter system. For marine application, its performance is shown on PC-based system for monitoring electrical characteristics of a power inverter using by the NMEA 2000 protocol. This power inverter system is achieved in Real-Time monitoring and control by dual micro-processor operation on embedded FPGA-based SoC board. One micro processor is for control (Control processor) electrical power inverter using by PWM signal. And the other microprocessor (Communication processor) is for communication with PC-based monitoring system. The two-processor is communicating each other using by dual-port ram (DPRAM). PC-based system user can control and monitor information of the electrical power inverter via NMEA 2000 based communication processor. Control and monitoring information includes the inverter status and configuration. SoC board converts this information to Parameter Group Numbers (PGNs) in the NMEA 2000 protocol. This system can be applied to marine power electronics for distributed power generation, transmission or regulation systems on the ship.
