  • The next generation IP-PBX system are demanding multimedia facility to carry out UC(Unified Communication) and voice security also. Therefore, in this paper, we have developed the integrated solution of IP-PBX for the voice security by adopting VPN IPsec based on SIP using tunnel method in transmitting voice data to prevent eavesdrop of voice data and have shared between communication system based on PC and PSTN terminals. In particular, We have developed a video conference, private switching, distributed processing and measured telephone conversation quality. This IP-PBX that is connected Soft-phone provide various optional services.

  • We implemented two fast PC clusters using fast PCs and high speed network. First. we built the first generation of 16 PC cluster and have used it for real-time operation at Cheju Regional Meteorological Office. Next, we built the second generation of 16PC with dual CUs cluster which was efficiently improved based on performance analysis of the first generation of cluster. In this research we also analyzed performance of two different clusters, which have different CPUs and communication devices using the parallel model MM5 which has been used for the real-time weather forecasting.

  • Instant messengers are a means of communication for modern people and can be used with smartphones and PCs respectively or connected with each other. Messengers, which provide various functions such as message, call, and file sharing, contain user behavior information regarded as important evidence in forensic investigation. However, it is difficult to analyze as well as acquire smartphone data because of the security of smartphones or apps. However, messenger data can be extracted through PC when the messenger is used on PC. In this paper, we obtained the credential data of Wire messenger in Windows 10, and showed that it is possible to log-in from another PC without authentication. In addition, we identified and classified major artifacts generated based on user behavior.

The Influence of the Introduction of Smart Phone on Using Portal Sites: An Exploratory Study by the Analysis on Smart Phone Users' Web Traffic (스마트폰 도입이 포털사이트 이용에 미친 영향: 스마트폰 이용자의 웹 트래픽 분석을 통한 탐색적 연구)

  • This study is for empirical verification of the influence of the introduction of smart phone on using the portal sites that were affected the most in the previous media environment. To achieve this, Web traffic data that are the result of smart phone users' practical Web uses have collected longitudinally and analyzed. The research results are the following: First, the use hours of portal sites have decreased about 15% and the page views have did about 35%, since using smart phones was diffused and habituated in earnest during the past two years. Using the community, news media, video, mobile, and game section of portal site sections have reduced. Second, the portal site portion of using smart phone Web is much more than that portion of using PC Web. More than two thirds of smart phone Web use traffic occurs in using portal sites, while more than one third of PC Web use traffic does in using that. Using the news media section is the most of using portal site sections on a smart phone. Third, since the introduction of smart phone, using the news media, communication, and life section of portal site sections have greatly increased, while the community, mobile, and game section have greatly decreased in the aggregate.

  • This paper aims to develop the One-In-One web solutions that can work in PC, tablet, notebook, and smart phone depending on the flow of the ICT times to promote the marketing of the technology. The characteristics of this web solutions can be used to a image viewer system of 3D array type for PC, tablet, notebook, and smart phone. It is implemented in the design of 3D display slide show type. And it is developed an image viewer system, which enables users to use by utilizing the links manner ICT base required by each channel of the image. This is the 3D photo viewer PR solution developed in the way that anyone can use easily without the knowledge of programming in various areas such as public relations, business, and education.

  • In this paper, an efficient technique is proposed to integrate the 3D user interface with the tiled display system in PC cluster environment. In the developed 3D user interface software, various menus are provided to increase the user friendliness of the interface, including the several model-control-commands. To eliminate the noise produced from the 3D user interface devices, the box filtering algorithm is employed. Further, a communication splitting algorithm, which is a kind of asynchronous communication method, is proposed to reduce the motion delay between the 3D interface and the tiled display system, and its efficiency is validated through the benchmarking tests.

  • In this paper, we can confirm the result of intuitive interface software implementation for operating a digital PA(Public Address) controller and the performance of audio mixer control part. Developed user interface software provides the maintaining management and control function of digital hybrid mixer. This SW loaded in the integrated control server controls an sound status of the audio mixer TAD-168M and checks the device status for Public Address integrated system. Also, this SW enables the integrated control and the continuous upgrade. Developed SW is connected to TAD-168M with Ethernet and linked to PC Lan port and the 4-port switch, located in the backside of TAD-168M, by LAN cable for communicating with operating PC. Integrated control including system management, audio control and uplink broadcasting control for broadcasting system will be made available with this novel developed system.

  • In this paper, an electricity management system, which saves energy by utilizing electricity consumption of load from an environment that uses at least two compact generators, is proposed and developed. A hardware is constructed by using TMS320C6713 DSP chip made by TI that is capable of high speed hardware floating point processing while serial communication is used for communication with a monitoring PC. Manual control is made possible from the monitoring PC and automatic on/off is enabled in the generator by using data collected by CT/PT sensor from the DSP mainboard. Test results confirm that the electricity management system proposed in this study functions without abnormality. The application of an algorithm that saves energy by using electricity consumption of load also allows for a longer supply of electricity compared to continuously using two compact generators.

  • In the recent gaming industry, the paradigm has been changed with upcoming core-platform as time goes by. Arcade, console, PC online and smart device platforms are representative ones. In recently, the platform is changed to multi-platform which connecting to smart device and other platforms. Besides, the multi-platform without PC is up-coming. This paper suggests that a kind of multi-platform which connecting from smart devices to arcade devices be aware of lack of continuous. It provides a new arcade gaming condition connecting to smart devices, then supplies online network conditions to the arcade gaming machine. The original arcade game was lack of continuous and the game platform was so simple, but now, it could be focused from players by connecting to smart devices to increase the gaming machines' continuity. Furthermore, Bluetooth communication module and wireless Wi-Fi communication module are used to adapt various communication environments. The Unity3D engine would make contents' expandability.

Enhanced NOW-Sort on a PC Cluster with a Low-Speed Network (저속 네트웍 PC 클러스터상에서 NOW-Sort의 성능향상)

  • External sort on cluster computers requires not only fast internal sorting computation but also careful scheduling of disk input and output and interprocessor communication through networks. This is because the overall time for the execution is determined by reflecting the times for all the jobs involved, and the portion for interprocessor communication and disk I/O operations is significant. In this paper, we improve the sorting performance (sorting throughput) on a cluster of PCs with a low-speed network by developing a new algorithm that enables even distribution of load among processors, and optimizes the disk read and write operations with other computation/communication activities during the sort. Experimental results support the effectiveness of the algorithm. We observe the algorithm reduces the sort time by 45% compared to the previous NOW-sort[1], and provides more scalability in the expansion of the computing nodes of the cluster as well.
