The use and need of health and nutrition information on the PC communication and internet among university students at Chungbuk area were investigated. The data from 167 students from two different universities were collected and analyzed from March to May, 1998. The results are as follows. 1. Male students were 27.5% and female students were 72.5%. 2. Sixty percent and 74.7% of the students had ever used PC communication and internet, respectively. Higher proportions of male students had experiences in PC communication and internet use than fe male students. The main reasons to use PC communication and internet were 1)to obtain information and knowledge(67.4%) 2)to enjoy(10.5%), 3)to make friends or to talk(5.3%) 3. About 40% of the experienced students of the PC communication of internet obtained health or nutrition information. However, only 25% of the experienced students obtained the nutrition information from the internet. Only 10% of the students agreed that the information from the PC communication and internet was very useful. The reasons not to use the information from the PC communication and internet were 'lack of expertise of the information' and 'long response time'. Many students thought that the information provided through the computer should be improved in terms of variety and applicability to the real situation. 4. Among the 33 topics of the health and nutrition information given on the questionnaire, both male and female students had the greatest interest in stress management. The next topics in which female students had interests were diet for weight control, health problems related to menstration, dietary assessment, and cancer prevention. In male students, dietary assessment, infant nutrition management, hypertention diet were the main interests. On the basis of these results an information system on health and nutrition management during the lifecycle for Korean women will be constructed on the internet.

It is widely known that farmers and fishermen group is typically alienated from information. In this regards, it has become a national policy to help them get benefits from using PC. Therefore, this study investigates the effects of PC competence on their life satisfaction by using the 2017 report on the digital divide. Especially, we are focused on analyzing mediating role of Internet service usage. Empirical analysis with public database showed that PC competence has a positive effect on life satisfaction. Internet service usage also revealed a mediating role between PC competence and Internet service usage. Implication for policy makers is that government needs to exercise PC competence level of farmers and fishermen, and their ability to utilize Internet service for the sake of improving their life satisfaction level. We recommend future research with hierarchical linear model to measure the effect of regional differences.

인터넷의 발전과 함께 많은 성장을 하고 있는 멀티미디어 응용서비스의 중의 하나인 인터넷폰은 PSTN이 아닌 인터넷의 U(Internet protocol)을 통해 전화와 관련된 기능을 구현하는 일련의 통신서비스 기술로서 인터넷을 이용하여 음성을 전달하기 위한 기술이 요구된다. 그리고 인터넷폰 시스템은 통화하고자 하는 착발신 단말의 종류에 따라 PC-to-PC, PC-to-Phone, Phone-to-PC 인터넷폰 시스템으로 구분되어 질 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 우선 사내 전화교환기인 사설교환기(PABX) 없이 동일한 UM 상의 임의의 두 PC간의 통신과 서로 다른 MU 상의 임의의 두 PC간에 통신이 가능하도록 PC-to-PC 인터넷폰 시스템의 호제어 메시지 처리, 상태전이도 등의 교환기 및 단말기 시스템의 설계 및 구현에 관해 연구하였다. 향후 PC-to-Phone과 Phone-to-PC 인터넷폰 시스템에 관한 연구를 지속적으로 수행할 것이다.

본 논문에서는 인터넷텔레포니 인터페이스(Internet Telphone Interface)를 제작하고 자체 개발된 PC-to-PC 방식의 인터넷 전화 소프트웨어인 Realphone을 이용하여 Phone-to-PC 방식의 인터넷 전화를 구현하였다. 실험을 위하여 인터넷텔레포니 인터페이스를 제작하였으며, 펜티엄 PC 2대와 일반 상용화 되어있는 전화기를 사용하였다. 통화는 목원대학교 학내전화와 목원대학교내 LAN으로 연결된 PC사이에 로컬(Local)상황과 국내 교육망으로 연결된 목원대학교와 서울대학교 사이에 트래픽이 서로 다른 새벽(Unload), 오전(Mid-load), 오후(Load)에 이루어졌다. 실험을 통하여 대형 게이트웨이의 도움없이 간단한 인터페이스만으로 Phone-to-PC 방식 인터넷전화의 통화가 가능함을 확인하였다.

The purpose of this study were : 1) to examine the apparel product purchasing tendency of PC communication and internet users in home shopping 2) to analyze the difference of apparel product purchasing tendency accordint to consumer factors. The data was administered to 160 subjects who had communicated the PC communication and internet. And the data was collected from May through August in 1998. SPSS package was used for analysis and the following methods such as Means Percentage Frequencies Factor analysis Crosstabulation analysis t-test and one-way ANOVA, The results of this study were as follows : 1) The users of PC communication and internet were young and high-education level and a metropolitan area dwellers. They received a purchase offer through catalog PC communication and internet cable TV and paid out credit card Experience to purchasing apparel product of home shopping was very low but intention to purchasing was relative high. item that consumer wanted to buy using home shopping were casual clothing and fashion goods which were not important to fit and without regard to style. 2) Between purchasing apparel product of home shopping and mainly consideration factors were shown to have the significant differences according to age residential quarters whether or not marriage. income level. A metropolitan area dwellers the low-age unmarried and the low-income groups thought much of convenience shopping time and effort's saving. A person of the higher-income and the married thought much of the facility of an exchange or returned goods. A region dwellers were to purchase a speciality product or gift goods. 3) Between purchasing apparel product of home shopping and satisfaction degree were shown to have significant differences according to sex whether or not marriage education level an occupation. The woman than the man was satisfied with the benefit of the shopping time and effort's saving. And the unmarried than the married was satisfied with the benefit of the home shopping's convenience. The higher-education level than the lower-education level was satisfied with the quality guarantee of the product.

The new cyber world has created by Internet that is prosperous rapidly. But with the expansion of Internet the hacking and intrusion are also increased very much. Actually there were many incidents in Internet, but the damage was restricted within a local area and local system. However, the Great 1.25 Internet Disturbance has paralyzed the national wide Internet environment. It because the Slammer Worm. The worm is a malformed program that uses both of the hacking and computer virus techniques. It autonomously attacks the vulnerability of Windows system, duplicates and spreads by itself. Jus like the Slammer Worm, almost every worms attack the vulnerability of Windows systems that installed in personal PC. Therefore, the vulnerability in personal PC could destroy the whole Internet world. So, in this paper we propose a Internet Worm Expanding Prevention System that could be installed in personal PC to prevent from expanding the Internet Worm. And we will introduce the results of developed system.

In this Paper, the PC input device using MEMS gyros and accelerometer is newly developed, so that it can measure rotation rate and linear acceleration of the human body in space. In General, the human motion has 6 degree of freedom but 2 degree of freedom is enough PC monitor with 2D display. Therefore the simple method is proposed to achieve minimum degree of freedom. It is also applied to the PC mouse. This method can be expanded to the input device for internet set-top box or internet TV.

This paper explains the design and development of the stand-alone high sound quality Internet Radio system, which is aimed for a small embedded type audio device rather than a general PC type. This device is designed to work with an Internet connection. This kind of system is not standardized so far, and also the related algorithm is not open to the public. So it is necessary to analyze several receiving algorithms of current radio receivers, and develop our own hardware in order to overcome these obstacles, finally to get the high quality of sound radio. The main electronic components of this Internet Radio are TCP/IP interfaces, an audio MP3 decoder, an I/O interface, and a Flash Memory Card with advanced audio multicasting for the next-generation Internet Radio. Basic structures and implementation issues of the next-generation most-versatile digital music player, and Internet Radio receivers, are discussed.

Redundant Programmable Logic Controllers are used in practice with the aim of achieving higher degree of availability or fault tolerance. In the paper a proposed Multiplex-PC is controled for fault tolerance design. In order to select a Different-Vender by a Supervisor computer, a Multiplex-PC is designed by TCP/IP internet protocol[1]. Because TCP/IP internet protocol can not connect to CPU. We use TCP/IP internet protocol to join CPU. We have to use TCP congestion control to select Different-Vender [4]. The reliability of the fault tolerant is measured with MTBF(Mean Time Between Failures)[3].
