설포라제 캡슐(아세브로필린 100 mg)에 대한 부로필 캡슐의 생물학적 동등성 (Bioequivalence of Burophil Capsule to Surfolase Capsule (Acebrophylline 100 mg))

  • Acebrophylline is a compound produced by salifying ambroxol with theophylline-7 -acetic acid. After acebrophylline administration, the salt splits into these two components which feature a peculiar pharmacokinetic behavior, an adequate ambroxol and a low theophylline-7-acetic acid serum levels. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the bioequivalence of two acebrophylline capsules, Surfolase (Hyundai Pharm. lnd. Co., Ltd.) and Burophil (Kuhnil Pharm. Co., Ltd.), according to the guidelines of the Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). The release of ambroxol from the two acebrophylline formulations in vitro was tested using KP VIII Apparatus II method with various dissolution media (pH 1.2, 4.0, 6.8 buffer solution and water). Twenty eight healthy male subjects, $23.25{\pm}1.43$ years in age and $64.82{\pm}6.77$ kg in body weight, were divided into two groups and a randomized $2{\times}2$ cross-over study was employed. After two capsules containing 100 mg as acebrophylline were orally administered, blood was taken at predetermined time intervals and the concentrations of ambroxol in serum were determined using HPLC with electrochemical detector (ECD). The dissolution profiles of two formulations were similar at all dissolution media. In addition, the pharmacokinetic parameters such as $AUC_t$, $C_{max}$ and $T_{max}$ were calculated and ANOVA test was utilized for the statistical analysis of the parameters using logarithmically transformed $AUC_t$, $C_{max}$ and untransformed $T_{max}$. The results showed that the differences between two formulations based on the reference drug Surfolase, were -1.64, -3.33 and -0.92% for $AUC_t$, $C_{max}$ and $T_{max}$, respectively. There were no sequence effects between two formulations in these parameters. The 90% confidence intervals using logarithmically transformed data were within the acceptance range of log 0.8 to log 1.25 $(e.g., \;log\;0.93{\sim}log\;1.05\;and\;log\;0.88{\sim}log\;1.05$ for $AUC_t$, and $C_{max}$, respectively). Thus, the criteria of the KFDA bioequivalence guideline were satisfied, indicating Burophil capsule was bioequivalent to Surfolase capsule.

FLASH를 이용한 3T 복부검사에 있어서 최적의 T1효과를 위한 적정 Flip Angle (Flip Angle of the Optimal T1 Effect Using FLASH Pulse Sequence at 3T Abdominal MRI)

  • 본 연구는 FLASH 펄스파형을 이용하여 숙임각(flip angle ; FA)변화에 따른 T1 강조영상의 신호강도(signal intensity ; SI)와 대조도 대 잡음비(contrast to noise ratio ; CNR)를 비교함으로써 복부검사에서의 최적의 T1효과를 나타내기 위한 FA를 알아보고자 하였다. 2008년 9월부터 12월까지 본원을 내원하여 복부 MRI 검사를 시행한 환자 20명(남 : 12명, 여 : 8명, 연령 범위 : $28{\sim}63$세, 평균 : 51세)을 대상으로 하였다. 영상 장비는 3Tesla MR scanner(Magnetom Tim Trio, SIEMENS, Germany)였으며, 8 channel body array coil을 사용하였다. 사용된 영상변수는 FLASH 펄스파형과 TR : 120 ms, TE : minimum, FOV : $360{\times}300\;mm$, Matrix : $256{\times}224$, Slice : 6 mm, scan time : 15초로 Breath-hold 기법을 이용하였다. 복부 영상은 물 신호를 동시에 측정하기 위해 관심영역(FOV) 안에 물을 채운 50 ml syringe를 놓고 $10^{\circ}$부터 $90^{\circ}$까지 $10^{\circ}$ 간격으로 FA에 변화를 주면서 얻었다. 획득한 영상은 간(liver), syringe내부의 물(water), 비장(spleen), background의 신호강도(SI)와 대조도 대 잡음비(CNR)를 각각 측정하였으며 신호강도는 관심영역을 설정한 다음 각 부위에서 3번씩 측정하고 그 평균값을 구하였다. 영상 전체의 평가에서는 변이계수(coefficient of variation)를 적용하여 전체영상의 신호강도 균일도를 알아보았고 통계 분석은 SPSS for window version 17.0을 이용하였다. 간(liver)의 신호강도는 $475.54{\pm}81.76$으로 FA $40^{\circ}$에서 가장 높게 나타났으며 syringe내부의 물의 신호는 $475.97{\pm}68.98$로 FA $20^{\circ}$에서 가장 높았으며 FA가 높아짐에 따라 다른 조직의 신호보다 많은 감소를 보였다. 비장의 신호는 $443.02{\pm}55.77$로 FA $30^{\circ}$에서 가장 높은 신호강도를 보였으며 FA가 높아짐에 따라 신호가 감소하였다. 조직의 신호강도에서 Liver vs Water와 Liver vs Spleen은 FA $30^{\circ}$를 제외한 전 구간에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였고 Water vs Spleen은 FA $60^{\circ}$, FA $70^{\circ}$, FA $80^{\circ}$에서만 유의한 차이를 보였다(p < 0.01). 전체영상의 신호강도는 $175.42{\pm}57.93$으로 FA $10^{\circ}$에서 가장 낮게 나타났으며 FA가 높아짐에 따라 증가하다가 떨어지는 양상을 보였다. 또한 변이계수(coefficient of variation)는 FA $10^{\circ}$와 FA $20^{\circ}$에서 33.02와 31.43으로 가장 높게 나타났다. FA $10^{\circ}$와 FA $20^{\circ}$는 전체영상의 신호강도 균일도가 다소 떨어지는 영상으로 왜곡이 심하게 나타났다. CNR은 liver-water에서 FA $30^{\circ}$에서 12.73으로 가장 낮게 나타났고 FA $10^{\circ}$에서 -46.97, FA $80^{\circ}$에서 29.36으로 가장 높게 나타났다. liver-spleen의 CNR에서는 FA $10^{\circ}$에서 -3.18로 가장 낮게 나타났으며 FA $80^{\circ}$에서 9.65로 가장 높게 나타났다. 결론적으로 FLASH 펄스 파형을 사용한 복부 영상에서 최적의 T1효과를 나타내기 위해서는 FA $80^{\circ}$를 사용하는 것이 유용할 것으로 생각된다.

원발성 폐암의 장기 성적 (Long term results of surgical treatment of lung carcinoma)

  • We reviewed 147 cases of primary carcinoma of the lung between January 1975 and December 1986 at the Thoracic and Cardiovascular Department, Yonsei university College of Medicine, Seoul, Korea. There were 116 males and 31 females with 93.72% ranging in age from 40 to 69 years. The mean age was 61.01 years. To 69 years of age with 61.01 years of mean age. There were 92 [62.59%] cases of squamous cell carcinoma, 29 [19.73%] cases of adenocarcinoma, 8 [5.44%] cases of undifferentiated large cell carcinoma, 8 [5.44%] cases of undifferentiated small cell carcinoma and 10 [6.8%] cases of bronchoalveolar cell carcinoma. 50 [34.01%] patients in stage I and 49 [33.26%] patients in stage II underwent pneumonectomies and lobectomies with a 67.27% rate of resection, where as only 49.12% of stage III patients were resected. Also 7 [30.43%] of the 23 stage IV cases were surgically resected and confirmed stage IV after surgical resection. The actuarial survival rate according to classification are as follows. The one and 3 year survival rate of the patients in stage I were 96% and 84% respectively. The one and `3 year survival rate of the patients in stage II were 100% and 66.6%, whereas the one and 3 year survival rate of the patients in stage III, T3 were 78.57% and 69.84%. The survival rates of patients in stage I, II, III T3 were better than those of the other stages. There were significant differences in observed survival for patients with stage II as compared with the patients with stage Ill, T3. [p=0.0005]. An aggressive surgical approach still offered the greatest chance for long-term survival even in stage Ill, T3. The survival rate in patients with resectable cases including stage III, T3 might be improved with an aggressive surgical approach. The one and 3 year survival rates of patients in stage III, N2 were 56.67% and 43.7 I%. The one and 3 year survival rates of patients in stage IV were 21.43% and 3.57%. Patients in stage III, N2 or IV had markedly decreased survival rates. When the carcinoma cell type was the basis for the determination of rate of survival, the result were as follows; The one, 3 and 5 year survival rates of squamous cell carcinoma were 78.33%, 60.19%, and 57.32%, and the one and 3 year survival rates of adenocarcinoma were 55.56% and 44.49%. The survival rates of large cell carcinoma were 66.67%, and 44.45%, at one, three and five years respectively. The one and 3 year survival rates of bronchoalveolar cell carcinoma were 71.43% and 47.62%, the one, 3 and 5 year survival rates of small cell carcinoma were 40%, 20% and 20%. The survival rate of squamous cell carcinoma was better than that of other cell carcinomas, the survival rate of small cell carcinoma was the worst. The operative mortality rate was 1.36%. There were 10 cases of post-operative complications including 2 cases of bleeding which required further surgery, 2 cases of wound infection, and 4 cases of empyema thoracis. The length of survival of three of the empyema thoracis cases was 16, 98 and 108 months respectively, Four male patients all older than 47 years survived more than 9 years, post surgery, although one developed empyema thoracis. These four cases were initially classified as 2 cases of stage I and one each of stage II and stage III, T3. We have concluded that the survival rates of patients in stages I, II and III, T3 were improved after complete surgical resection.

임업생산(林業生産)이 국민소득(國民所得)에 미치는 영향(影響) (The Effect of Forest Production on National Income)

  • 우리나라의 산림면적(山林面積)은 국토(國土)의 약(約)68%를 차지하고 있으나 그의 생산(生產)은 미미(微微)하여 국민총생산액(國民總生產額)에 대(對)하여 약(約)2%, 제(第)1차산업생산(次產業生產)에서 차지하는 비중(比重) 또한 5%정도(程度)에 불과(不過)하다. 그러나 이는 임업생산중(林業生產中) 직접소득(直接所得)만을 가지고 말한 것이며 임산물(林產物)의 대부분(大部分)은 원재료(原材料)로서 타(他) 관련산업(關聯產業)에 이용(利用)됨으로써 그의 우회적(迂回的) 생산과정(生產過程)을 통(通)해 얻어지는 부가가치(附加價値) 즉(卽) 간접소득(間接所得)이 더욱 중요(重要)하다. 그러나 이때까지 임업생산(林業生產)을 논(論)할때에는 목재생산(木材生產) 즉(卽) 직접생산(直接生產)만 가지고 논급(論及)하였지 이 간접생산(間接生產)에 대(對)하여는 하등(何等) 계산(計算)된 바 없다. 그러므로 한국은행(韓國銀行)에서 조사발표(調査發表)된 1963년도(年度)와 1966년도(年度) 양년분(兩年分)의 산업연관표(產業聯關表)를 가지고 물재구입율법(物財購入率法)을 써서 임업(林業)의 간접소득(間接所得)을 계산(計算)해 보았다. 그결과(結果) 직접소득(直接所得)은 1963년도(年度)가 14,361백만(百萬)원, 1966년도(年度)에는 17,709백만(百萬)원이던 것이, 간접소득(間接所得)은 1963년도(年度)가 42,688백만(百萬)원, 1966년도(年度)는 74,790백만(百萬)원으로서 임업소득합계(林業所得合計)는 1963년도(年度)가 57,049백만(百萬)원 1966년도(年度)는 92,499만(百萬)원이 된다. 따라서 국민총생산액중(國民總生產額中) 임업소득(林業所得)이 차지하는 비율(比率)은 1963년도(年度)가 8.23%, 1966년도(年度)에는 10.12%라는 고율(高率)을 차지하고 있다. 물론(勿論) 여기에는 한수해방지(旱水害防止) 토사유출방지(土砂流出防止)등(等) 국토보전(國土保全)과 풍치(豊致)등(等) 소위(所謂) 산림(山林)의 간접적효용(間接的効用)이 주는 무형적(無形的) 소극(所得)은 계산(計算)에 넣지 않었다. 이와 같이 임업(林業)에서는 그의 생산물(生產物)의 대부분(大部分)이 원재료(原材料)로서 타산업(他產業)에 이용(利用)됨으로써 직접소득(直接所得)보다 간접소득(間接所得)이 차지하는 비중(比重)이 대단(大端)히 높아 관련산업(關聯產業)의 발전(發展) 성장(成長)에 크게 기여(寄與)하고 있다. 그러므로 산업간(產業間)의 중요도판정(重要度判定)에서 임업(林業)은 결(決)코 경시(輕視)되어서는 아니 된다고 본다.

공장 및 수공업 생산 쌈장의 품질 특성 (Quality Characteristics of Factory-Style and Handmade-Style Ssamjang)

  • 본 연구에서는 쌈장 제품의 품질 향상 및 개발에 관한 기초자료를 제시하고자 시판 중인 공장 및 수공업 생산 쌈장 제품 10종에 대한 이화학 성분 분석을 통해 품질 특성을 규명하고자 하였다. 수분 함량은 공장생산 쌈장이 41.94~45.83%, 수공업생산 쌈장이 49.37~62.12%, 조단백 및 조지방 함량은 공장생산 쌈장이 각각 7.50~9.09%, 1.81~3.36%, 수공업생산 쌈장이 9.39~13.46%, 4.40~8.35%로 나타나 수공업생산 쌈장이 수분, 조단백, 조지방 함량 모두 유의적으로 높은 것으로 나타났다. pH와 적정산도는 공장생산 쌈장이 각각 5.29~5.78, 2.18~2.49 0.1 N NaOH mL/10 g, 수공업생산 쌈장이 5.11~5.49, 1.92~3.79 0.1 N NaOH mL/10 g으로 나타났고 아미노태질소 함량은 FSS1과 HSS2를 제외하고는 수공업생산 쌈장(645.48~756.18 mg%)이 공장생산 쌈장(365.08~392.55 mg%)에 비해 월등히 높은 것으로 나타났다. 염도는 공장생산 쌈장이 6.10~7.57%, 수공업생산 쌈장이 6.33~11.88%로 수공업생산 쌈장의 염도가 훨씬 높았고 제품 간 함량 차이도 다소 큰 것으로 나타났다. 또한 전체 평균 염도는 7.51%로 10여 년 전 시판 쌈장의 평균 염도인 8.73%에 비해 함량이 낮아졌음을 확인할 수 있었다. 환원당 함량은 HSS3을 제외하고 공장생산 쌈장(18.77~27.85%)이 수공업생산 쌈장(2.47~21.12%)에 비해 훨씬 높은 것으로 나타났으며 명도, 적색도, 황색도는 전반적으로 공장생산 쌈장의 값이 수공업생산 쌈장보다 유의적으로 높았다. 총 유리당 및 유기산 함량은 각각 HSS3 및 FSS1을 제외하고 공장생산 쌈장(12.51~22.59%, 2,204.31~3,136.78 mg%)이 수공업생산 쌈장(0.58~11.04%, 948.36~1,738.60 mg%)보다 높았고 유리아미노산은 HSS1을 제외하고 공장생산 및 수공업생산 쌈장 모두 glutamic acid 함량이 가장 많았으며, 총 함량은 FSS1 및 HSS1을 제외하고 수공업생산 쌈장(343.50~429.31 mg%)이 공장생산 쌈장(204.08~306.19 mg%)보다 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과 공장 및 수공업 생산 쌈장 제품 간 품질 특성에 유의적인 차이가 있었고 동일한 생산방식 내에서도 제품 간 품질특성 차이가 나타났다. 특히 쌈장의 주원료인 된장의 제조방법 및 숙성도에 따라 조단백, 아미노태질소 및 유리아미노산 함량에 차이가 발생하였고 이를 통해 쌈장은 다양한 원료와 재료 배합비 및 방식의 차이에 따라 품질 특성이 다양해 짐을 확인하였다.

여성 골다공증환자의 골다공증에 대한 지식, 건강증진행위 및 삶의 질과의 관계 연구 (A Study of Correlation among the Knowledge of the Disease, Health Promoting Behaviors and the Quality of Life in the Female Patients with Osteoporosis)

  • Osteoporosis is the disease that is the most controversial issue with the aging tendency in 1990. It is an important issue in dealing with the health management for women in middle life. This study is designed to determine the relationships among the level of the knowledge of osteoporosis, the health promoting behaviors and the quality of life. The test has conducted a questionnaire survey of women with osteoporosis. This is a study that focused an interrelation of above issues and its purpose is to gain a foundation of a nursing intervention that can help to improve the qualify of life of an osteoporosis patients. The method of collecting data is collecting a questionnaire survey, individual interviews and records and the collected 123 questionnaire surveys are utilized for an data analysis. Questionnaire surveys are conducted in K and S Universities infirmaries and K general hospital in Seoul and C and J general hospital in near Seoul area from Sep. 27th to Nov. 4th, 2000. The instruments of this study were as follows: Yoon's used the revised and supplemented instrument to test the level of the knowledge of osteoporosis and she referred to the substance of Cassells & Knotz. Lee's revised and supplemented the instrument called Health Promoting Life style Profile that were invented by Walker, Sechrist & Pender and she used it to test the health promoting behaviors with the questionnaires added by this researcher. They are not related to the quality of life but relevant to the patients. Ro's tested the quality of life with the instrument that was invented by herself. The results of this study were as follows. 1. The general characteristics of this study subjects showed that the age of the patients was concentrated from 50 to 59. The periods after menopause was mainly from 6 to 10 years. Subjective symptoms that patients usually complain were musculoskelectal symptoms. 2. The results of measuring the level of the knowledge of osteoporosis, the health promoting behaviors and the quality of life were following. The level of the knowledge was the score 19.83 and it was above middle score out of the score 27 as full marks. In the result of the health promoting behaviors test, the score average was 2.58 with 4 point rating scale and it was about middle score. The quality of life test showed that average score was 2.92 with 5 point rating scale and it indicated that the quality was also around middle score. 3. The statistical test in the activities for promoting health according to the general characteristics of the patients showed that only monthly income has statistically significant difference(F-4.761, p=.004). The same test for the qualify of life indicated that the quality of life was higher from 1 to 5 years after menopause but it was not meaningful statistically. 4. In the correlation among the level of knowledge of osteoporosis, the health promoting behaviors and the qualify of life of the patients, showed a relationship between the health promoting behaviors and the qualify of life. The higher the health promoting behaviors, it was also higher the quality of life. But it was statistically significant with significant positive correlation.

N-Methylacetamide 동결보호제가 오계 동결정액의 생존성, 수정 및 부화율에 미치는 영향 (Effects of N-Methylacetamide on the Viability, Fertility and Hatchability of Cryopreserved Ogye (Korean Native Black Fowl) Semen)

  • 본 연구는 동결보호제로 이용되는 MA가 오계 정액의 생존율과 생산된 종란의 수정 및 부화율에 미치는 영향을 검토하여 재래가금의 동결보존 방법의 기초를 마련하고자 실시하였다. 10수의 오계 수탉에서 채취한 혼합정액을 희석정액을 제조하고 동시에 동일한 희석액으로 준비된 신선정액을 준비하여 각각 20수의 White Leghorn 암탉에 인공수정하였다. 7일 동안 생산된 종란을 각각 114개 및 115개를 회수하여 인공부화기에 입란하였고, 발생 7일째에 검란하여 수정율을 관찰하였으며, 발생 21일째에 부화율과 발육 중지란을 조사하였다. 동결정액을 이용하여 생산된 종란의 수정율은 66.36%로 관찰되었으며, MA가 함유된 희석액으로 준비한 동일한 농도의 신선 정액을 이용하여 생산된 종란의 수정율은 94.98%로 관찰되었다. 또한, MA 동결보호제가 함유된 희석정액과 동결정액을 이용하여 생산된 종란의 부화율은 모두 90% 이상으로 관찰되어 유의성이 없었으며, Glycerol 동결보호제의 문제점으로 보고된 수정 능력 및 부화 억제 효과는 없는 것으로 사료된다. 그러므로 동결정액을 이용한 종란에서 무정란 수는 신선한 희석 정액을 사용하였을 때보다 약 6.3배로 유의적 높았으나, 동결보호제에 의한 효과로 추정되지는 않았다. 닭 동결정액의 기술의 실용화를 위해서는 조류 정액의 보존 및 동결 연구에는 여전히 해결되어야 할 문제점이 많으며, 특히 품종 간 및 개체 간의 변이가 크기 때문에 앞으로 더 많은 연구가 필요하다고 사료된다.

  • 본 연구는 한국음식에 대한 일본인의 기호도를 알기 위하여 설문지로서 일본의 남녀 대학생 283명을 대상으로 한국음식에 대한 인식과 섭취경험을 파악하고 아울러 130여명의 학생들에게는 관능검사를 실시하여 한국음식에 대한 기호도를 조사한 것이다. 1. 조사대상자는 남학생이 42.0%, 여학생이 58.0%였으며 식생활학과 학생은 36.0%였다. 한국음식에 대하여 53.2%는 관심이 많았으며 93.2%는 한국음식을 섭취한 경험을 가지고 있었다. 2. 한국음식에 대하여 외관상의 느낌으로는 67.8%의 학생들이 좋다고 평가하였고 먹은 후의 느낌은 74.1%의 학생이 좋다고 응답하여 외관으로 본 경우보다는 먹은 후의 느낌이 보다 좋은 것으로 나타났다. 조사대상자의 83.1%는 한국음식이 식성에 맞다고 하였으며 그 이유는 '맛이 있어서'가 92.6%로 가장 많았다. 식성에 맞지 않는 이유로는 68.3%가 맵다고 하였다. 3. 한국음식에 대한 인지도는 김치(97.2%), 갈비(91.5%), 비빔밥(89.8%), 콩나물(50.9%), 불고기(41.7%)의 순 이었다. 여학생, 식생활학과, 한국음식에 관심이 많은 사람, 한국을 방문한 경험이 있는 사람, 한국음식을 시식한 경험이 있는 사람 그리고 보았을 때와 시식한 후의 느낌이 좋았던 사람이 인지도가 높았다. 가장 많이 먹어 본 음식은 김치(93.6%)였으며 갈비(80.6%), 비빔밥(62.2%), 불고기(35.0%)의 순으로 시식경험이 많았다. 4. 외관에서 가장 좋은 것은 삼계탕이었고 냄새는 불고기가, 맛은 삼계탕과 불고기를 가장 좋아하는 음식으로 평가하였다. 5. 한국김치와 일본김치를 비교한 결과는 한국김치에 대해 남학생은 '맵다'(61.2%), 여학생은 '맛있다'(65.1%)고 응답하였으며 한국김치가 식성에 맞지 않는 이유는 '맵다'(57.1%), 색이 너무 빨갛다'(28.6%), '냄새가 나쁘다'(28.6%) 등이었다.c}C$와 8$0^{\circ}C$에 도달하였을 때 56.8 unit, 3.2 unit와 65.7 unit와 13.3 unit의 잔존활성을 보였으나 중심온도가 9$0^{\circ}C$와 10$0^{\circ}C$일 때 잔존활성은 측정되지 않았다.>에서 뚜렷한 효과를 나타내었다.비율이 높은 반면 Malaysia 거주자들은 중국음식, 만두 및 면류의 이용이 비교적 많은 편이었다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 보면 외국에 거주하면서 한국의 전통적인 특성을 간직하고자 하는 의식을 가지고 있음을 볼 수 있으며 하루 세끼의 식사형태에서 밥을 중심으로 하는 비율은 국내 보다 크게 낮았지만 여전히 다른 식사형태 보다 높은 것을 알 수 있다. 한국 고유의 식문화 특성을 가지면서 거주지역의 식품생산 및 사회 문화적 특성에 영향을 받음으로써 거주국의 식품, 식사 형태, 조리방법을 도입하는 등 부분적으로 변화가 진행되고 있음을 확인 할 수 있었다.가장 시급한 개선점이라고 생각된다. 따라서 효과적인 급식운영을 하기 위해서는 학교식당은 맛, 다양한 메뉴의 식단, 위생, 가격의 저렴 등을 통해서 급식대상자들이 만족한 급식을 할 수 있도록 체계적인 관리 및 운영을 통해 적극적으로 개선해 나가야 할 것으로 사료된다.er (p<0.05), $T_{max}$ might be an insignificant parameter because cyclosporin A generally requires long-term administration. Nutrient Utilization, Body Composition and Lactation Performance of First Lactation Bali Cows (Bos sondaicus) on Grass-Legume Based Diets

  • A study on energy and protein utilization, and milk production of Bali cows on grass-legume diets was carried out using 12 first lactation cows (initial BW $263.79{\pm}21.66kg$) during a period of 16 weeks starting immediately post calving. The animals were randomly allotted into 4 dietary treatment groups R1, R2, R3 and R4, receiving from the last 2 months of pregnancy onwards, graded improved rations based on a mixture of locally available grass and legume feed ad libitum. R1 contained on a DM basis 70% elephant grass (PP, Penisetum purpureum) plus 30% Gliricidia sepia leaves (GS), R2 was 30% PP plus 55% GS supplemented with 15% Hibiscus tilliactus leaves (HT, defaunating effect), R3 and R4 were 22.5% PP+41.25% GS+11.25% HT+25% concentrate, where R3 was not and R4 supplemented with zinc di-acetate. TDN, CP and zinc contents of the diets were 58.2%, 12.05% and 18.3 mg/kg respectively for R1, 65.05%, 16.9% and 25.6 mg/kg respectively for R2, 66.03%, 16.71% and 29.02 mg/kg respectively for R3 and 66.03%, 16.71% and 60.47 mg/kg respectively for R4. Milk production and body weight were monitored throughout the experimental period. In vivo body composition by the urea space technique validated by the body density method and supported by carcass data was estimated at the start and termination of the experiment. Nutrient balance and rumen performance characteristics were measured during a balance trial of 7 days during the 3rd and 4th week of the lactation period. Results indicated that quality of ration caused improvement of ruminal total VFA concentration, increments being 52 to 65% for R2, R3 and R4 above R1, with increments of acetate being less (31 to 48%) and propionate being proportionally more in comparison to total VFA increments. Similarly, ammonia concentrations increased to 5.24 to 7.07 mM, equivalent to 7.34 to 9.90 mg $NH_3-N/100ml$ rumen fluid. Results also indicated that feed quality did not affect DE and ME intakes, and heat production (HP), but increased GE, UE, energy in milk and total retained energy (RE total) in body tissues and milk. Intake-, digestible- and catabolized-protein, and retained-protein in body tissues and milk (Rprot) were all elevated increasing the quality of ration. Similar results were obtained for milk yield and components with mean values reaching 2.085 kg/d (R4) versus 0.92 kg/d (R1) for milk yield, and 170.22 g/d (R4) vs 71.69 g/d (R1), 105.74 g/d (R4) vs 45.35 g/d (R1), 101.34 g/d (R4) vs 46.36 g/d (R1) for milk-fat, -protein, and -lactose, respectively. Relatively high yields of milk production was maintained longer for R4 as compared to the other treatment groups. There were no significant effects on body mass and components due to lactation. From the relationship $RE_{total}$ (MJ/d)=12.79-0.373 ME (MJ/d); (r=0.73), it was found that $ME_{m}=0.53MJ/kgW^{0.75}.d$. Requirement of energy to support the production of milk, ranging from 0.5 to 3.0 kg/d, follows the equation: Milk Prod. ($Q_{mp}$, kg/d)=[-2.48+4.31 ME($MJ/kg^{0.75}.d$)]; (r=0.6) or $Q_{mp}$=-3.4+[0.08($ME-RE_{body\;tissue}$)]MJ/d]; (r=0.94). The requirement for protein intake for maintenance ($IP_m$) equals $6.19 g/kg^{0.75}.d$ derived from the relationship RP=-47.4+0.12 IP; (r=0.74, n=9). Equation for protein requirement for lactation is $Q_{nl}$=[($Q_{mp}$)(% protein in milk)($I_{mp}$)]/100, where $Q_{nl}$ is g protein required for lactation, $Q_{mp}$ is daily milk yield, Bali cow's milk-protein content av. 5.04%, and $I_{mp}$ is metabolic increment for milk production ($ME_{lakt}/ME_{m}=1.46$).

우리나라 전통음식 중 아연과 구리 함량에 관한 조사 연구 (A Study on Zinc and Copper Contents of Korean Traditional Foods)

  • The content of zinc and copper were analyzed and compared for five favorite traditional Korean dishes. The purpose of the research was to substantiate traditional Korean foods, which are good sources of these two minerals, to emphasize the importance of the minerals and to improve nutritional conditions. Foods were collected from institutional food services and Korean restaurants. The result of the analysis of the minerals are listed below. 1. When the survey was done on the preference and the frequency of intake of 106 Korean traditional dishes, the most popular food item was soybean paste stew (doenjangchigae); the second, barbecued beef (pulgogi): the third, cooked rice with assorted vegetables (pibimpap): the fourth, grilled fishes : the fifth, spicy beef vegetable soup (yukkaejang). The frequency of intake of eating these dishes was also very high. 2. The average one serving portion of each of the five dishes from institutional food services and Korean restaurants are as follows. The average one serving size of cooked rice with assorted vegetables of the two systems were 451.2g and 403.0g; spicy beef vegetable soup, 379.3g and 512.3g; soybean paste stew, 292.0g and 278.8g; barbecued beef, 76.1g and 202.5g: grilled croaker(chogi, fish), 47.5g and 36.5g, and grilled spanish mackerel(samchi, fish), 60.0g and 250.0g. The differences of the average one serving portion between the two systems were very significant. 3. The total average zinc content of each of the five dishes from the two different systems were analyzed. The zinc content of cooked rice ith assorted vegetables from institutional food services was 4.3mg and that from Korean restaurants was 2.9mg; spicy beef vegetable soup, 1. 7mg and 3.2mg: sybean pste stew, 1.4mg and 1.6mg: barbecued beef, 1.9mg and 4.3mg; grilled croaker, 0.5mg and 0.4mg; grilled spanish mackerel, 0.8mg and 2.7mg. The difference between the average of total zinc content of two systems were not statistically significant. 4. The average total copper content of each item from the two different systems were compared. The average total copper content of barbecued beef from institutional food services was 692.4$\mu\textrm{g}$ and that from Korean restaurants was 502.5$\mu\textrm{g}$. The value of the institutional food services system was significantly higher(p<0.05). Spicy beef vegetable soup, 161.1$\mu\textrm{g}$ and 208.3$\mu\textrm{g}$: soybean paste soup, 290.5$\mu\textrm{g}$ and 308.5$\mu\textrm{g}$; barbecued beef, 217.7$\mu\textrm{g}$ and 339.l$\mu\textrm{g}$: grilled croaker, 51.7$\mu\textrm{g}$ and 44.l$\mu\textrm{g}$; grilled spanish mackerel, 92.0$\mu\textrm{g}$ and 265.2$\mu\textrm{g}$. The difference of the two systems was not significant. 5. The zinc contents per 100g each of five traditional Korean dishes were barbecued beef, 2.2mg, grilled spanish mackerel, 1.2mg, grilled croaker, 1.1mg, cooked rice with assorted vegetables, 0.8mg, soybean paste stew, 0.6mg, spicy beef vegetable soup, 0.5mg. The copper contents were; barbecued beef, 203.0$\mu\textrm{g}$, cooked rice with assorted vegetables, 138.7$\mu\textrm{g}$, grilled spanish mackerel, 137.9$\mu\textrm{g}$, grilled croaker, 119.l$\mu\textrm{g}$, soybean paste stew, 105.l$\mu\textrm{g}$, spicy beef vegetable soup, 40.5$\mu\textrm{g}$.
