Delegated Rights Manipulation in P2P Environment for Promoting Contents Distribution (P2P 환경에서 라이선스 발급 권한위임을 통한 컨텐츠 유통 활성화 방법)

  • 본 논문은 P2P(Peer-To-Peer) 환경이 가지는 장점과 DRM(Digital Rights Management) 기술이 가지는 장점을 결합하여, 서비스에 참여하는 사용자가 합법적으로 컨텐츠를 재판매 할 수 있는 방법을 제공 함으로써 컨텐츠 유통을 활성화 하는 방안을 제시한다. 사용자가 중앙 서버에서 구매한 컨텐츠나 이웃 피어(Peer)에게 구매한 컨텐츠를 재판매 할 경우, 실행권한 라이선스(Rights)를 중앙 서버의 권한 발급기(Rights Issuer)가 아닌, 판매하는 피어 측에서 권한을 위임 받아 직접 발급한다. 컨텐츠를 구매하면 결재가 진행되고, 해당 이익금은 판매한 피어와 해당 컨텐츠를 구매하기까지 참여한 피어의 경로를 분석하여 이익이 재분배 된다. 이러한 이익금 재분배 과정을 통해 합법적인 컨텐츠 유통의 활성화를 기대할 수 있고, P2P 네트워크 환경이 가지는 여러 장점과 DRM 기술의 장점을 융합하여 저비용의 신뢰할 수 있는 시스템 구축이 가능할 것으로 예상된다.

  • A Multiplayer Online Game(MOG) is a game capable of supporting hundreds or thousands of players and is mostly played using the Internet. P2P(peer-to-peer) architectures for MOGs can potentially achieve high scalability, low cost, and good performance. The basic idea of many P2P-based games is to distribute the game state among peers and along with it processing, network, and storage tasks. In a primary-copy based replication scheme where any update to the object has to be first performed on the primary copy, this means distributing primary copies of objects among peers. Most multiplayer games use a primary-copy model in order to provide strong consistency control over an object. Games consist of various types of actions that have different levels of sensitivity and can be categorized according to their consistency requirements. With the appropriate consistency level of each action type within a game, this paper allows developers to choose the right trade-off between performance and consistency. The performance for P2P game architecture with the primary-copy model is evaluated through simulation experiments and analysis.

Reliable e-Commerce Model on P2P Environment (P2P 환경에서 신뢰성 있는 e-Commerce 모델)

  • A P2P is a method that can share and exchange on digital resources through a direct connection on personnel without a central server. In this paper, we apply a P2P technology to a traditional electronic commerce method so that a seller and a customer can perform a commercial transaction through a direct communication. As such a result, we propose a new e-Commerce model on P2P environment to assure fairness in commercial transactions. To achieve our goal, we put an escrow server which is responsible for guarantee fair contents delivery and payment for the contents between a seller and a customer. When a customer buys content, he first obtains reputation values implicating reliability for the content and refers to these values to determine purchase. The proposed scheme, we can improve the reliability for the purchasing content and provide the fairness to both a seller and a customer simultaneously.

  • Peer­to­peer(P2P) 네트워크를 구성하는 각 피어는 서로 다른 네트워크대역폭, 업로드속도, 컴퓨터성능을 가지므로 미디어 요청피어가 특정 피어로부터만 데이터를 받는 경우엔 사용자 QoS를 만족시키지 못할 가능성이 높다. 또한 미디어데이터를 제한된 시간 내에 수신해야하는 스트리밍시스템에서는 여러 피어로부터 데이터를 수신하는 멀티소스스트리밍이 더욱 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 P2P 네트워크 환경에서 여러 피어로부터 미디어를 송수신하고 파일로 저장하는 멀티소스스트리밍시스템을 설계, 구현하였다. 그리고 스트리밍 중인 피어가 가진 미디어파일의 일부분을 전송하는 기법을 적용하여 비트 전송률과 동시 수요자 수를 증가시켰다.

  • 최근 인터넷의 급속한 성장과 초고속 통신망의 구축으로 인하여 다양한 멀티미디어서비스들이 제공되고 있다. 그러나 현재 대부분의 멀티미디어 서비스들은 클라이언트/서버모델을 기반으로 구축되어 있기 때문에, 중앙 서버로의 과도한 부하가 집중되는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 순수 P2P(Pure Peer-to-Peer) 환경으로 구축된 멀티미디어 서비스에서의 자원 검색 기법을 제안한다. 제안 기법은 자율성과 이동성을 지닌 이동 에이전트(mobile agent)를 기반으로 자원의 검색을 수행하여, 기존의 순수 P2P 환경에서의 검색 기법의 문제점을 해결한다. 또한, 시나리오를 통하여 제안 기법의 구체적인 동작 과정에 대해 알아본다.

  • 인터넷에서 서버 컴퓨터를 거치지 않고 정보를 찾는 사람과 정보를 가지고 있는 사람의 컴퓨터를 직접 연결시켜 데이터를 공유할 수 있게 해주는 가상의 공유 시스템인 P2P(peer to peer)는 개방 시스템이기 때문에 근본적으로 보안상의 문제점을 안고 있다. 이러한 보안상의 문제점을 해결하기 위한 한 방법으로서, JXTA를 통한 P2P 어플리케이션 구현을 제안하고자 한다. 따라서 안전한 P2P 어플리케이션 개발을 위하여 JXTA 플랫폼 구조와 보안 기술을 분석하였고, 어떻게 JXTA가 플랫폼 레벨에서 주어진 암호학적 툴킷을 사용하여 보안을 다루지를 연구하였다.

A Study on the Determinants of the Characteristics of Online Peer-to-Peer Lending (온라인 개인간 대출시장에서의 차입자 특성 연구)

  • In this paper, we examine factors of success in online P2P (peer-to-peer) lending auctions. This paper finds the following empirical results. First, loan applicants with a stable employment status are more likely to succeed in the auction than loan applicants with an unstable employment status. Second, loan applicants, who actively share personal information and interact with lenders through online message boards, are likely to succeed in the auction. Third, the purpose of a loan for debt repayment has a significant impact on the success of the auction. However, the purpose of a loan for essential living expenses such as housing, living, and medical expenses has an insignificant relationship with the success of the auction. Our results imply that the characteristics of loan applicants such as employment status and social interaction are the factors of success in online P2P lending auctions.

  • The growing global energy demand has been the motivation for innovations for improved approaches on energy trade. The involvement of new energy market players known as prosumers have also enabled Peer-to-Peer (P2P) energy trade in microgrid communities. In this paper, a novel approach to energy trading based on Hive Strategy is proposed. The strategy aims to encourage prosumers to become workers that will meet the energy demands of consumers referred to as hives. The workers are selected based on their Prosumer Ratings (PR) and are ranked from the ones with the highest PR to the lowest. Using the PR, prosumers with the best energy consumption and generation behaviors are prioritized for energy trade. To test the proposed strategy, a simulation has conducted and the results show how the energy demand of the hive is met by the workers. Furthermore, an improvement in the pay-offs and PR of the workers are observed.

  • Since it costs a lot to build a home network system of new service provider, the entry barrier is quite high. If it would be possible to build a home network system with high performance at a low building cost, it would be quite attractive. If a home network would be built in P2P-SIP(Peer to peer - Session Initiation Protocol) structure, it is possible to decrease server maintenance cost and keep high usability by deconcentrating the traffic concentrated on the server. It is also possible to efficiently manage the location information of terminal, if quorum system based on fuzzy logic would be applied. In this paper we propose the P2P-SIP structure applied of quorum system based on fuzzy logic by which a home network system can be built at low cost. It was possible to know by comparing the structure with existing one that the structure has very good performance.

  • The self-organizing super peer ring P2P search scheme improves search performance of the existing unstructured peer-to-peer systems, in which super peers with high capacity constitute a ring structure and all peer in the system utilize the ring for publishing or querying their keys. In this paper, we further improves the performance of the self-organizing ring by adaptively changing its super peer ratio according to the status of the entire system. By using PSO, the optimized super peer ratio can be maintained within the system. Through simulations, we show that our self-organizing super peer ring optimized by PSO outperforms not only the fixed super peer ring but also the self-organizing super ring with fixed ratio in the aspect of query success rate.
