저전압 대회전을 위한 분리된 압전 구동기에 의한 미소거울 (Micromirrors Driven by Detached Piezoelectric Microactuators For Low-voltage and Wide-angle Rotation)

  • This paper presents a torsional micromirror detached from PZT actuators (TMD), whose rotational motion is achieved by push bars in the PZT actuators detached from the micromirror. The push bar mechanism is intended to reduce the bending, tensile and torsional constraints generated by the conventional bending bar mechanism, where the torsional micromirror is attached to the PZT actuators (TMA). We have designed, fabricated and tested prototypes of TMDs for single-axis and dual-axis rotation, respectively. The single-axis TMD generates the static rotational angle of $6.1^{\circ}$ at 16 VDC, which is 6 times larger than that of single-axis TMA, $0.9^{\circ}$. However, the rotational response curve of TMD shows hysteresis due to the static friction between the cover and the push bar in the PZT actuator. We have shown that 63.2% of the hysteresis is due to the static friction caused by the initial contact force of the PZT actuaor. Without the initial contact force, the rotational response curve of TMD shows linear voltage-angle characteristics. The dual-axis TMD generates the static rotational angles of $5.5^{\circ}$ and $4.7^{\circ}$ in x-axis and y-axis, respectively at 16 VDC. The measured resonant frequencies of dual-axis TMD are $2.1\pm0.1$ kHz in x-axis and $1.7\pm0.1$ kHz in y-axis. The dual-axis TMD shows stable operation without severe wear for 21.6 million cycles driven by 16 Vp-p sinusoidal wave signal at room temperature.

  • ZnO thin films were grown at different plume-substrate angles by pulsed laser deposition(PLD). From the X-ray diffraction(XRD) result, all ZnO thin films were found to be well c-axis oriented and c-axis lattice constant approached the value of bulk ZnO as plume-substrate(P-S) angle decreased. The grain size of ZnO thin films measured by atomic force microscopy increased and the UV intensity of ZnO thin films investigated by photoluminescence increased as P-S angle decreased. It is found that the improvement of structural and optical properties mainly comes from the reduction of the flux of ablated species arriving on a substrate per a laser shot by tilting a substrate parallel to the plume propagation direction.

  • This paper describes an electronic compass using micromachined X- and Y-axis micro fluxgate sensors which were perpendicularly aligned each other to measure X- and Y-axis magnetic fields respectively. The fluxgate sensor was composed of rectangular-ring shaped magnetic core and solenoid excitation(49 turns) and pick-up(46 turns) coils. Excitation and pick-up coil patterns which were formed opposite to each other wound the magnetic core alternatively to improve the sensitivity and to excite the magnetic core in an optimal condition with reduced excitation current. The magnetic core has DC effective permeability of ~1000 and coercive field of ~0.1 Oe. The magnetic core is easily saturated due to the low coercive field and closed magnetic path for the excitation field. To decrease the difference of induced second harmonic voltages from X- and Y-axis, excitation condition of 2.8 $V_{P-P}$ and 1.2 MHz square wave was selected. Excellent linear response over the range of -100 $\mu$T to +100 $\mu$T was obtained with 210 V/T sensitivity. The size of each micro fluxgate sensor excluding pad region was about 2.6${\times}$1.7 $mm^2$ and the power consumption was estimated to be 14 mW.W.

3축 가속도계를 이용한 사상체질별 보행특성 연구 (Gait Characteristics of Sasang Constitution with 3-Axis Accelerometer-Based Gait Analysis)

  • Objectives: This study aimed to reveal the gait characteristics of each Sasang constitution by examining the differences in gait analysis indicators using a 3-axis accelerometer. Methods: Ninety-one participants were classified through the TS-QSCD (Two-Step Questionnaire for Sasang Constitution Diagnosis) method and gait analysis was performed using a 3-Axis Accelerometer (G-WALK. BTS Bioengineering, Italy). Gait analysis in returning to the 6-meter turnaround point and 6-minute walking test were performed. The differences in the gait analysis index values were analyzed between each constitution. Results: The gait analysis of 91 subjects (37 Taeumin, 37 Soyangin, and 17 Soeumin), showed that the percent stride length/height in the Soyangin subjects was significantly higher than that of the Taeeumin and Soeuminin subjects in the spatiotemporal walking variables (p<0.05). Stride length also showed the widest tendency in the Soyangin subjects (p=0.05). In the kinesiological analysis, the range of pelvic obliquity angles in the Soeumin subjects was significantly wider than that of the Taeumin and Soyangin subjects (p<0.05). In the six-minute walking test, the Soyangin subjects walked the farthest at 309.41±35.23 m (p=0.064). Conclusions: In a comparison of the gait characteristics for each Sasang constitution using a three-dimensional accelerometer, the stride width of the Soyangin subjects was the widest compared to the Taeeumin, and Soeumin subjects, and Soyangin's walking speed showed a faster tendency than that of the Taeeumin and Soeumin subjects.

무릎스쿼트 운동과 스쿼트 운동 자세에 따른 뇌졸중 환자의 균형 비교 연구 (A Study on the Balance of Stroke Patients According to Kneeling Squat Exercise and Standing Squat Exercise Positions)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this research is to propose a more efficient exercising method by measuring and comparing the movement of center of pressure (COP) while hemiplegic stroke patients perform kneeling squat exercise and squat exercise. Methods : 17 hemiplegic stroke patients were instructed to perform kneeling squat exercises and squat exercises, and the research was designed as a cross-over study. For data collection, a pressure distribution measurement platform (PDM) was used to measure the movement area, length, speed, and distance from the center of the X-axis of center of pressure. The data was then analyzed through a paired t-test. Results : Kneeling squat exercises have been found to have a significantly smaller center of pressure movement area compared to that of squat exercise(p<.001), and the center of pressure movement length of kneeing squat exercise has also been found to be relatively shorter (p<.001). Moreover, kneeling squat exercises have been found to have a significantly slower center of pressure movement speed than squat exercise (p<.001), and kneeing squat exercise center of pressure movement distance from the center of the X-axis has been found to be significantly small (p<.001). Conclusion : Kneeling squat exercises have significantly decreased amounts of center of pressure movement area, distance, and speed compared to squat exercises. Also, the center of pressure movement distance from the center of the X-axis was relatively closer. This result seems to derive from patients performing their motions with wide base surfaces while being refrained from using unstable ankle joints during kneeing squat exercise. Therefore, it can be concluded that kneeing squat exercises show relatively balanced center of pressure movements between the paralyzed and non-paralyzed sides because kneeling squats show smaller shakes in the center of pressure.

Cone-Beam Computed Tomogram (CBCT)과 Adjusted 2D lateral cephalogram의 계측점 차이에 관한 비교 연구 (Comparison of landmark positions between Cone-Beam Computed Tomogram (CBCT) and Adjusted 2D lateral cephalogram)

  • 목적: 본 연구에서는 CBCT (Cone-Beam Computed Tomogram)와 100%로 확대율을 보정한 조절된 측모 두부 방사선 규격 계측 사진(Adjusted 2D Lateral Cephalogram; 이하 Adj-Ceph)의 좌표값을 비교하여 차이가 있는 계측점들의 항목을 분석하여 기존의 2D 분석법을 CBCT 분석에 적용할 수 있는지 여부를 평가해보고자 하였다. 재료 및 방법: 성인 환자 50명의 CBCT 자료 50개와, 동일 환자의 측모 두부 방사선 규격사진을 100% 확대율로 보정한 자료(Adj-Ceph) 50개를 대상으로 하여, 수평축과 수직축의 좌표를 비교하였다. 계측점들의 위치와 좌우 중첩 여부에 따라 두개골 전방에 위치한 점들(group A), 두개 중후방에 위치한 점들(group B), 좌우 양측성 점들(group C), 치아부위 계측점들(group D) 네 그룹으로 나누어 분석 하였고, 좌표값에 유의한 차이가 있는지 분석하기 위하여 paired t-test를 시행하였다. 결과: 수평축(Y축)에서는 Group B (S, Ar, Ba, PNS), Group C (Po, Or, Hinge axis, Go), Group D (U1RP, U6CP, L6CP) 등 11개의 계측점에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 수직축(Z축)에서는 전체 계측점에서 유의한 차이가 있었다(P<.01). 좌표값의 차이 분석 결과 수평축에서는 13개의 계측점에서 1 mm 이상의 유의한 차이가 있었다. 수직축에서는 Group B의 Sella를 제외한 전체 계측점에서 1 mm 이상의 유의한 차이가 있었다. 결론: CBCT 분석 시에는 기존의 측모두부방사선 규격사진의 분석법을 그대로 사용하기에는 어려움이 있다. 3D 분석법, 또는 수평축에서 13개의 계측점들이 보정되고, 수칙축 19개가 보정된 수정된 새로운 2D 분석법이 사용되어야 한다.

Influence of the anterior arch shape and root position on root angulation in the maxillary esthetic area

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to characterize the relationship of the angulation between the tooth root axis and alveolar bone axis with anterior alveolar(AA) arch forms and sagittal root position (SRP) in the anterior esthetic region using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images. Materials and Methods: CBCT images that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were categorized using a recent classification of AA arch forms and a SRP classification. Then, the angulation of the root axis and the alveolar bone axis was measured using mid-sagittal CBCT images of each tooth. The relationships of the angulation with each AA arch form and SRP classification were evaluated using 1-way analysis of variance and a linear regression model. Results: Ninety-eight CBCT images were included in this study. SRP had a greater influence than the AA arch form on the angulation of the root axis and the alveolar bone axis(P<0.05). However, the combination of AA arch form and SRP was more predictive of the angulation of the root axis and the alveolar bone axis than either parameter individually. Conclusion: The angulation of the root axis and alveolar bone axis demonstrated a relationship with the AA arch form and SRP in teeth in the anterior esthetic region. The influence of SRP was greater, but the combination of both parameters was more predictive of root-to-bone angulation than either parameter individually, implying that clinicians should account for both the AA arch form and SRP when planning implant placement procedures in this region.

경추 정면 검사에서 방사선 입사각에 관한 연구 (A Study of Radiation Incidence Angle in Anteroposterior Cervical Vertebra Examination)

  • 경추 정면 방사선검사시 하악골, 후두골의 겹침방지, 경추 추체의 배열 및 관절의 형태 등을 관찰하기 위하여 X선 입사각을 머리 방향으로 $15{\sim}20^{\circ}$를 주고 있는 것이 보편적이다. 하지만 한국인의 체형에 맞는 입사각에 대한 연구는 거의 이루어지지 않고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 한국인에 적합한 입사각을 찾고, 방법을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 입사각을 측정하기 위하여 서산에 위치한 S병원을 내원한 환자 1,044명을 대상으로 하였으며, 제 2번~제 5번 경추의 길이, 피사체-영상판 거리(OID), 제2번경추(axis)의경사도, 초점-영상판 간거리(FID)를 측정하였으며, 연령대 성별에 대한 평균값을 측정하여 적용공식에 의하여 입사각을 산출하였다. 경추 제2번~제5번의 평균길이는 6cm 이였으며, 10대부터 20대까지는 경추의 길이가 커지고 30대 이후로는 경추의 길이가 작아졌으며, 남성과 여성의 차이는 약 1cm 차이가 나타났다(p<.001). OFD는 연령대, 성별과 상관없이 거의 같은 값이 측정이 되었다. 제2번 경추(axis)의 경사도는 10대와 20대는 경사도가 증가하였지만, 30대 이후로는 작게 나타났다. 또한 남성과 여성은 약 $2^{\circ}$차이가 났다(p<.001). FID의 측정 결과, 연령대, 성별과 상관없이 거의 같은 값이 측정되었으며, 이 값으로 입사각을 측정한 결과, 10대는 $15.9^{\circ}$, 20대 $16.9^{\circ}$, 30대 $16.6^{\circ}$, 40대 $16.2^{\circ}$, 50대 $15.9^{\circ}$, 60대 $14.5^{\circ}$로 측정되었다. 10대와 20대까지 입사각이 증가하였지만, 30대 부터는 입사각이 작게 나타났다. 또한 10대는 남성과 여성이 같은 값으로 측정이 되었고, 20대부터는 남성과 여성이 $2^{\circ}$ 차이가 나타났다. 입사각과 제 2번~제 5번 경추의 길이측정, OID, 제 2번 경추의 경사도, FID와의 상관관계를 실시하였고, 입사각과 모두 유의한 상관관계가 나타났다(p<.001). 본 연구에서 경추의 평균 길이, OID, FID, 제2번 경추(axis)의 경사도에 따라서 입사각이 다르게 나타났고, 성별과 연령에 따라 입사각이 다른 것을 알 수 있었다. 그러므로 경추 정면검사 시 연령, 성별을 고려하여 입사각을 설정하면서 검사를 시행하여야 함이 사료되며, 향후 경추검사의 입사각을 설정할 때 참고 자료로 이용될 것으로 기대된다.

Mechanical performance of a new I-section weak-axis column bending connection

  • This paper reports a novel steel beam-to-column connection suitable for use in the weak axis of I-section column. Monotonic and cyclic loading experimental investigations and numerical analysis of the proposed weak-axis connection were conducted, and the calculation procedure of the beam-column relative rotation angle and plastic rotation angle was developed and described in details. A comparative analysis of mechanical property and steel consumption were employed for the proposed I-section column weak-axis connection and box-section column bending connection. The result showed that no signs of fracturing were observed and the plastic hinge formed reliably in the beam section away from the skin plate under the beam end monotonic loading, and the plastic hinge formed much closer to the skin plate under the beam end cyclic loading. The fracture of welds between diaphragm and skin plate would cause an unstable hysteretic response under the column top horizontal cyclic loading. The proposed weak-axis connection system could not only simplify the design calculation progress when I-section column is adopted in frame structural design but also effectively satisfy the requirements of 'strong joint and weak member', as well as lower steel consumption.
