산소부화 LPG 화염에서 혼합형 재연소 방법에 의한 NOx 저감 효과 (The Effect of Hybrid Reburning on NOx Reduction in Oxygen-Enriched LPG Flame)

  • In order to enhance combustion efficiency, oxygen-enriched combustion is used by increasing the oxygen ratio in the oxidizer. However, since the flame temperature increases, NOx formation in the furnace seriously increases for low oxygen enrichment ratio. In this case, reburning is a useful technology for reducing nitric oxide. In this research, experimental studies have been conducted to evaluate the hybrid effects of reburning/selective non-catalytic reaction (SNCR) and reburning/air staging on NOx formation and also to examine heat transfer characteristics in various oxygen-enriched LPG flames. Experiments were performed in flames stabilized by a co-flow swirl burner, which were mounted at the bottom of the furnace. Tests were conducted using LPG gas as main fuel and also as reburn fuel. The paper reported data on flue gas emissions, temperature distribution in furnace and various heat fluxes at the wall for a wide range of experimental conditions. Overall temperature in the furnace, heat fluxes to the wall and NOx generation were observed to increase by low level oxygen-enriched combustion, but due to its hybrid effects of reburning, SNCR and Air staging, NOx concentration in the exhaust have decreased considerably.

패류양식어장 밀집해역의 퇴적환경내 유기물 분포특성 -여자만과 남해 강진만- (Organic Enrichment and Pollution in Surface Sediments from Shellfish Farming in Yeoja Bay and Gangjin Bay, Korea)

  • Organic enrichment was investigated in surface sediments from the Yeoja and Gangjin Bays of Korea, which contain dense shellfish farms, in order to evaluate the contamination status and temporal changes in shellfish farming along these coasts. The degree of organic enrichment was determined using geochemical indicators (chemical oxygen demand, ignition loss, acid volatile sulfide, total organic carbon in sediments, and total nitrogen in sediments, ammonium and nitrate in pore water, and bioluminescence inhabitation for sediments). Temporal changes in organic enrichment conditions were detected by comparing our 2012 data to those previously reported from a survey conducted in 1999/2000. Organic enrichment was significantly higher in September than in May and July, in Gangjin Bay than in Yeoja Bay, and significantly higher in shellfish farms than in reference sites not used to culture shellfish. Ammonium concentrations in pore water were two orders of magnitude greater than nitrate concentrations, suggesting that these bays represent nitrogen-reducing environments.

  • The diffusion coefficient of Xe-133 was obtained from an annealing test. The specimens were made from a UO$_2$ single crystal powder with natural enrichment. Weight and grain size were 300mg and ($23\mu\textrm{m}$, respectively. Oxygen potentials were obtained from an oxygen sensor. Released fractions were obtained from both results of gamma scans and quantitative analysis with MCNP code, The annealing test was performed at three temperatures at once. Diffusion coefficients of Xe-133 were calculated using slope of Booth theory in each O/M ratios. Activation energy and the pre-exponential factor of the diffusion coefficient were obtained. The activation energy of near stoichiomeric $UO_2$ is 310 kJ/mol. The measured values of near stoichiometric $UO_2$ are very close to other data available. Diffusion coefficients increase with hyper-stoichiometry, due to higher concentration of cation vacancies.

  • Numerical simulations are performed at atmospheric pressure in order to understand the effect of additives on flame speed and the NOx formation in freely propagating $H_{2}/O_{2}/N_{2}$ flames with oxygen enrichments. A chemical kinetic mechanism is developed, which involves 26 gas-phase species and 99 reactions. Under several equivalence ratios and oxygen enrichments, flame speeds are calculated and compared with those obtained from the experiments, the results of which is in good agreement. As hydrogen chloride as additive is added into $H_{2}/O_{2}/N_{2}$ flames with low oxygen enrichments, its chemical effect causes the decrease of flame speed, radical concentration, and the NO production rate. It is found that the chemical effect of additive has much more influence on the reduction of EINO than its physical effect. However, in flames with very high flame temperature the physical effect rather than the chemical effect becomes more important on the reduction of EINO.

  • Stress corrosion cracks in Alloy 600 compact tension specimens tested at $325^{\circ}C$ in a simulated primary water environment of pressurized water reactor were analyzed by analytical transmission electron microscopy and secondary ion mass spectroscopy (SIMS). From a fine-probe chemical analysis, oxygen was found on the grain boundary just ahead of the crack tip, and chromium oxides were precipitated on the crack tip and the grain boundary attacked by the oxygen diffusion, leaving a Cr/Fe depletion (or Ni enrichment) zone. The oxide layer inside the crack was revealed to consist of a double (inner and outer) layer. Chromium oxides existed in the inner layer, with NiO and (Ni,Cr) spinels in the outer layer. From the nano-SIMS analysis, oxygen was detected at the locations of intergranular chromium carbides ahead of the crack tip, which means that oxygen diffused into the grain boundary and oxidized the surfaces of the chromium carbides. The intergranular chromium carbide blunted the crack tip, thereby suppressing the crack propagation.

대청호에서 장기간 수질변동 및 인위적 Enclosure 영양염 투여실험에 따른 제한 영양염류 평가 (Long-term Water Quality Fluctuations in Daechung Reservoir and the Limiting Nutrient Evaluations Using In Situ Enclosure Nutrient Enrichment Bioassays (NEBs))

  • The objectives of this study were to elucidate spatio-temporal heterogeneity of water chemistry and develop empirical models using trophic variables in Daechung Reservoir during 2005-2010 along with in situ tests of nutrient enrichment bioassays (NEB). The relations of water quality parameters in regard to precipitation showed that seasonal and interannual fluctuations of biological oxygen demand (BOD), total nitrogen (TN) and pH were minor, whereas conductivity, suspended solids (SS), and total phosphorus (TP) were largely varied in response to the magnitude of rainfall. The CHL maxima occurred immediately after the spate of TP during the high flow, indicating that phytoplankton growth was directly controlled by phosphorus. Empirical linear models of CHL-TP indicated that the variation of CHL in premonsoon was accounted 60% ($R^2$ = 0.60, p < 0.05, n = 54) by TP. In the mean time, empirical models of annual CHL-TN showed that the variation of CHL was weakly accounted ($R^2$ = 0.16, p < 0.001) by TN and more strongly ($R^2$ = 0.44, p < 0.001) by TP. Thus, the variation of CHL was more explained by the variation of TP than TN. In situ tests of Nutrient Enrichment Bioassays (NEBs) showed that the growth of CHL was greater in the P-treatments (as $PO_4-P$) than the control and N-treatment (as $NO_3-P$). Overall, our results suggest that phosphorus was aprimary limiting nutrient controlling the seasonal phytoplankton growth, based on the in situ experiments of NEBs.

  • FVCOM을 이용하여 시화호의 부영양화 메소코즘 내 부유생태계 변화 현장실험 결과를 재현하였다. 용존산소는 부영양화된 연안의 지화학생태 반응 결정에 중요한 역할을 하는 요소이나 FVCOM에서는 이를 모의하지 않아 용존산소 모듈을 추가하였으며, 그 적용성을 확인하였다. 수질생태 관련 상태변수를 영양염, 식물플랑크톤(극미소, 미소, 소형), 동물플랑크톤(원생동물 2군, 중형동물플랑크톤), 쇄설성 유기물, 용존성 유기물, 박테리아 그룹으로 설정하고 경기만과 시화호에서 측정된 생물군 간 먹이 상관관계 자료를 기반으로 모델을 구성하였다. 영양염 증가에 따른 메소코즘 내 크기별 식물플랑크톤의 변화 특성과 실험 초기에 나타나는 < 20 ${\mu}m$ 빈섬모충류 우점에서 scuticociliates로의 원생동물 천이 양상 등을 재현할 수 있었으며, 박테리아와 저산소의 영향을 파악하였다.

산소부화 조건에 따른 LNG 연소특성 연구 (Combustion Characteristic Study of LNG Flame in an Oxygen Enriched Environment)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 산업용 보일러에서 적용할 수 있는 실질적인 산소부화 연소기술을 개발하는데 있다. 일차적으로 실험실 규모의 연소기에서 연소용 산화제를 공기에서 산소로 대체할 경우 화염특성 및 배출 오염물질의 특성변화를 수치해석을 통해 조직적으로 연구하였다. 첫 번째로 증가된 산소부화량의 결과로 나타나는 화염은 길고 가는 층류형상의 화염모양을 보여주고 있는데 이것은 산화제 중에서 질소성분이 감소함으로써 약화된 난류혼합효과에 기인하는 것으로 판단하였으며 문헌에 발표된 실험결과와 그 경향이 일치하였다. 그리고 산소부화효과는 $N_2$ 가스에 의한 현열손실과 희석효과를 감소시키므로 연소로 내 화염온도를 실질적으로 크게 증가시키고 또한 $CO_2$$H_2O$ 농도분율을 증가시킨다. 그러나 100% 순산소 연소가 아닌 경우 산소부화량 증가에 의한 화염온도의 증가는 thermal $NO_x$ 발생을 크게 증가시키는 결과를 초래하였다. 이러한 산소부화에 따른 고온 특성에 의한 질소산화물의 생성문제와 산화제의 유량 감소에 따른 화염의 안정성 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 발생한 이산화탄소를 적절하게 재순환시키는 문제와 기타 운전 조건의 조절에 의한 방법이 필요할 것으로 판단되었다. 예를 들어 화염의 버너선회와 형상변화가 연소특성에 미치는 영향을 고려하기 위하여 버너의 선회각을 변화하여 수치해석을 수행한 결과 $30\sim45^{\circ}$의 버너 선회는 LNG 연료의 연소효율을 증가시키고 동시에 $NO_x$ 발생량을 저감시켰다.상이었다. 5. 총당함량(總糖含量)은 담금기간(期間)에는 각(各) 시험구간(試驗區間)에 큰 차이가 없었으나 성숙후기(成熟後期)에는 조미료(調味料)로서 간장을 첨가(添加)한 제국식(製麴式) 고추장에서 높았다.etection을 통하여 항진균 물질의 분자량은 약 2.4 kDa 정도이며, 항세균 물질의 분자량은 약 4.5 kDa으로_ 확인되었다. 따라서 B. subtilis MJP1은 항진균 활성과 항세균 활성을 가진 bacteriocin-like substances를 생산함을 알 수 있고 이와 같은 새로운 항미생물 물질은 천연 식품보존제 및 사료보존제 뿐만 아니라 항생제 대체 의약품으로도 활용이 기대되며, 이를 위하여 향후 이 물질들의 보다 정확한 구조 및 특성 규명 등의 연구가 필요하다.성도는 1시간째에 최저로 떨어지다가(대조치의 89%, p<0.05)이후 회복하기 시작하여 24시간째에 약간 대조치 이상으로 회복되었다. 5-HT의 turnover rate는 MAO활성도 변화와 거의 같은 변화를 보였다. 2) 만성투여시 (하루 2번, 14일간 투여)는 5-HT 함량, 5-HIAA 함량, MAO 활성도 및 5-HT turnover rate 모두가 중등도로 감소되었다. (각각 대조치의 87%, 69%, 80%, 79%). 3) MAO 활성도와 5-HT turnover rate 사이에는 높은 상관관계가 있었다.   • 1. 서론 : 현재의 막분리 기술로는 단 단계 분리공정(single-stage separation)으로 약 40%의 산소농축공기(oxygen-enriched air)를 얻을 수 밖에 없지만 심냉법(cryogenic techniques)보다는 에너지 소비율이 적으며, 공정이 비교적 간단하기 때문에 용도에 따라 순 산소를 꼭 필요로 하지 않는 제철소, 발전소 등의 연소분야, 호흡기 환자를 위한 의료분야, 생물공학이나 항공기 분야 등에 편리하게 이용될 수 있다. 이와 같이 용도가 다양한 산소를 분리막을 이용하여 보다 편리하고 값싸게 얻기 위해서는 산소와 질소의 막투과에 대한 새로운 지식을 얻고 막투과가 기체의 어떤 성질에 지배되고 있는가를 조사할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 고무상 고분자막(rubbery polymer membrane)에 대한 산소/질소의 수착특성과 순수한 기체의 투과율(permeation rate)을 기초로 하여 혼합기체의 투과율, 분리인자(separation factor), 막분리 공정변수에 의한 중공사 분리막에서의 기체분리특성에 대하여 연구하였다.
