Homogeneous multicomponent indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO) ceramics for transparent electrode targets are prepared from the oxides and nitrates as the source materials, and their properties are characterized. The selected compositions were $In_2O_3:Ga_2O_3:ZnO$ = 1:1:2, 1:1:6, and 1:1:12 in mole ratio based on oxide. As revealed by X-ray diffraction analysis, calcination of the selected oxide or nitrides at $1200^{\circ}C$ results in the formation of $InGaZnO_4$, $InGaZn_3O_6$, and $InGaZn_5O_8$ phases. The 1:1:2, 1:1:6, and 1:1:12 oxide samples pressed in the form of discs exhibit relative densities of 96.9, 93.2, and 84.1%, respectively, after sintering at $1450^{\circ}C$ for 12 h. The $InGaZn_3O_6$ ceramics prepared from the oxide or nitrate batches comprise large grains and exhibit homogeneous elemental distribution. Under optimized conditions, IGZO multicomponent ceramics with controlled phases, high densities, and homogeneous microstructures (grain and elemental distribution) are obtained.
We report the synthesis of cubic spinel $ZnCo_2$$O_4$thin films and the tunability of the conduction type by control of the oxygen partial pressure ratio. Zinc cobalt oxide films were grown on$ SiO_2$(200 nm)/Si substrates by reactive magnetron sputtering method using Zn and Co metal targets in a mixed Ar/$O_2$atmosphere. We found from X-ray diffraction measurements that the crystal structure of the zinc cobalt oxide films grown under an oxygen-rich condition (the $O_2$/Ar partial pressure ratio of 9/1) changes from wurtzite-type $Zn_{1-x}$$Co_{X}$O to spinel-type $ZnCo_2$$O_4$with the increase of the Co/Zn sputtering ratio,$ D_{co}$$D_{zn}$ . We noted that the above structural change accompanied by the variation of the majority electrical conduction type from n-type (electrons) to p-type (holes). For a fixed $D_{co}$$D_{zn}$ / of 2.0 yielding homogeneous spinel-type $_2$O$ZnCo_4$films, the type of the majority carriers also varied, depending on the$ O_2$/Ar partial pressure ratio: p-type for an $O_2$-rich and n-type for an Ar-rich atmosphere. The maximum electron and hole concentrations for the Zn $Co_2$$O_4$films were found to be 1.37${\times}$10$^{20}$ c $m^{-3}$ and 2.41${\times}$10$^{20}$ c $m^{-3}$ , respectively, with a mobility of about 0.2 $\textrm{cm}^2$/Vs and a high conductivity of about 1.8 Ω/$cm^{-1}$ /.
Ga-doped polycrystalline ZnO films on glass substrates were prepared by sputtering the targets, which had been prepared by sintering discs consisting of ZnO powder and various amounts of G$a_2O_3$, to investigate the effects of gallium doping and sputtering conditions on electrical properties. Optimizing the RF power density, argon gas pressure and gallium content, transparent Ga-doped ZnO films with resistivity less than 1$0^{-3}$ohm-cm are obtained. Electron concentration of undoped and Ga-doped ZnO films are order of $10^{18}$, $10^{21}$/c$m^2$respectively. After heat treatment in air and $N_2atmosphere, $ the resistivity of Ga-doped ZnO films increases by about two orders of magnitude. The optical transmission is above 80% in the visible range and the optical band widens as the Ga content increases.

High mobility bottom gate thin film transistors (TFTs) with an amorphous gallium tin zinc oxide (a-GSZO) channel layer have been produced by rf magnetron cosputtering using a gallium zinc oxide (GZO) and tin (Sn) targets. The effect of the post annealing temperatures ($200^{\circ}C$, $250^{\circ}C$ and $300^{\circ}C$) was evaluated and compared with two series of TFTs produced at room temperature and $150^{\circ}C$ during the channel deposition. From the results it was observed that the effect of pos annealing is crucial for both series of TFTs either for stability as well as for improving the electrical characteristics. The a-GSZO TFTs operate in the enhancement mode (n-type), present a high saturation mobility of $24.6\;cm^2/Vs$, a subthreshold gate swing voltage of 0.38 V/decade, a turn-on voltage of -0.5 V, a threshold voltage of 4.6 V and an $I_{ON}/I_{OFF}$ ratio of $8{\times}10^7$, satisfying all the requirements to be used in active-matrix backplane.

Indium zinc tin oxide (IZTO) thin films were studied as a possible alternative to indium tin oxide (ITO) films for providing low-cost transparent conducting oxide (TCO) for thin film photovoltaic devices. IZTO films were deposited onto glass substrates at room temperature. A dc/rf magnetron co-sputtering system equipped with a ceramic target of the same composition was used to deposit TCO films. Earlier studies showed that the resistivity value of $In_{0.6}Zn_{0.2}Sn_{0.2}O_{1.5}$ (IZTO20) films could be lowered to approximately $6{\times}10^{-4}ohm{\cdot}cm$ without sacrificing optical transparency and still maintaining amorphous structure through the optimization of process variables. The growth rate was kept at about 8 nm/min while the oxygen-to-argon pressure ratio varied from 0% to 7.5%. As-deposited films were always amorphous and showed strong oxygen pressure dependence of electrical resistivity and electron concentration values. Influence of forming gas anneal (FGA) at medium temperatures was also studied and proven effective in improving electrical properties. In this study, the chemical composition of the targets and the films varied around the $In_{0.6}Zn_{0.2}Sn_{0.2}O_{1.5}$ (IZTO20). It was the main objective of this paper to investigate how off-stoichiometry affected TCO characteristics including electrical resistivity and optical transmission. In addition to the composition effect, we have also studied how film properties changed with processing variables. IZTO thin films have shown their potential as a possible alternative to ITO thin films, in such way that they could be adopted in some applications where currently ITO and IZO thin films are being used. Our experimental results are compared to those obtained for commercial ITO thin films from solar cell application view point.
Highly stable bottom gate thin film transistors(TFTs) with a zinc indium tin oxide(Zn-In-Sn-O:ZITO) channel layer have been fabricated by rf-magnetron co-sputtering using a indium tin oxide(ITO:90/10), a tin oxide and a zinc oxide targets. The ZITO TFT (W/L=$40{\mu}m/20{\mu}m$) has a mobility of 24.6 $cm^2$/V.s, a subthreshold swing of 0.12V/dec., a turn-on voltage of -0.4V and an on/off ratio of >$10^9$. When gate field of $1.8{\times}10^5$ V/cm was applied with source-drain current of $3{\mu}A$ at $60^{\circ}C$, the threshold voltage shift was ~0.18 V after 135 hours. We fabricated AM-OLED driven by highly stable bottom gate Zn-In-Sn-O TFT array.

In this research, we prepared Ga doped zinc oxide(ZnO:Ga, GZO) targets each difference sintering temperature $700^{\circ}C$, $800^{\circ}C$, and doping rate 1 wt.%, 2 wt.%, 3 wt.%. The characteristics of thin film on glass substrates which deposited by facing target sputtering in pure Ar atmosphere are reported. Ga doped zinc oxide film is attracted material through low resistivity, high transmittance, etc. When prepared target powder's structure was investigated by scanning electron microscope, densification and coarsening by driving force was observed. For each ZnO:Ga films with a $Ga_2O_3$ content of 3 wt.% at input power of 45W, the lowest resistivity of $9.967{\times}10^{-4}{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$ ($700^{\circ}C$) and $9.846{\times}10^{-4}{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$ ($800^{\circ}C$) was obtained. the carrier concentration and mobility were $4.09{\times}10^{20}cm^{-3}$($700^{\circ}C$), $4.12{\times}10^{20}cm^{-3}$($800^{\circ}C$) and $15.31cm^2/V{\cdot}s(700^{\circ}C)$, $12.51cm^2/V{\cdot}s(800^{\circ}C)$, respectively. And except 1 wt.% Ga doped ZnO thin film, average transmittance of these samples in the range 350-800 nm was over 80%.

In this study, Indium-Titanium hydroxide particle with 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 wt% of $TiO_2$ were synthesized by sol process and adding the base, ITiO(Indium Titanium Oxide) particles were obtained by gelling at $200^{\circ}C$ and $500^{\circ}C$. The ITiO particle's size with gel process at $200^{\circ}C$ was smaller than ITiO particle's size with gel process $500^{\circ}C$. The ITiO particle with gel process at $200^{\circ}C$ was used to fabricate dense ITiO target. ITiO targets with 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 wt% of $TiO_2$ were fabricated and used to obtain ITiO thin films onto glass by sputtering. Among those sputtered ITiOs' thin films, ITiO thin film with 0.4 % of $O_2$ and 0.5 wt% of $TiO_2$ showed the lowest specific resistance, highest charge mobility and lowest carrier concentration. It was found the light transmittance of the ITiO film were increased highly compared to light transmittance of ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) thin film over Infrared wavelength ranges.
Barium ferrite thin films were reactively deposited with Fe and BaO composite targets by a facing tergects sputtering unit. When thermally oxidized silicon wafers were used as substrates, minimum substrate heating of $750^{\circ}C$ was necessary for the perfect c-axis alignment in barium ferrite films. To lower the critical substrate temperature for the good c-axis alignment, such seed layers as ZnO, ${\alpha}-Fe_{2}O_{3}$ and ${\gamma}-Fe_{2}O_{3}$ were tested. The excellent c-axis algnment of BaM was obtained at a substrate temperature of $600^{\circ}C$ on ZnO seed layer whose (002) plane was parallel to the substrate surface. The magnetic properties of the BaM film showed saturation magnetization of 295 emu/cc, perpendicular coercivity of 1.7 kOe and squareness of 0.75. Optimum deposition rate of $230\;{\AA}/min$ was obtained with the composite target and this was 5 to 20 times higher than those of other investigators with oxide targets.

We reported on the electrical, optical, structural and morphological properties fabricated by co-sputtering for use as an anode for organic solar cells (OSCs). By adjusting RF and DC power of $MoO_3$ and IZO targets during co-sputtering, we fabricated the $MoO_3$-IZO electrode with graded content of the $MoO_3$ on the IZO films. At optimized $MoO_3$ thickness of 20 nm, the $MoO_3$ graded IZO electrode showed a higher mobility ($33cm^2/V-Sec$) than directly deposited $MoO_3$ on IZO film ($26cm^2/V-Sec$). At visible range (400nm~800nm), optical transmittance of the $MoO_3$ graded IZO electrode is higher than that of directly deposited $MoO_3$ on IZO film. High mobility of $MoO_3$ graded on IZO is attributed to less interface scattering between $MoO_3$ and IZO. To investigate the feasibility of $MoO_3$ graded IZO films, we fabricated conventional P3HT:PCBM based OSCs with $MoO_3$ graded IZO as a function of MoO3 thickness. The OSC fabricated on the $MoO_3$ graded IZO anode showed a fill factor of 66.53%, a short circuit current of $8.121mA/cm^2$, an open circuit voltage of 0.592 V, and a power conversion efficiency of 3.2% comparable to OSC fabricated on ITO anode and higher than directly deposited $MoO_3$ on IZO film. We suggested possible mechanism to explain the high performance of OSCs with a $MoO_3$ graded IZO.
