Research on Creator's Motivation to Select MCN and Dissatisfaction Factor as a Content Creator (1인 미디어 크리에이터의 MCN 선택 동기와 창작자로서 불만족 요인에 대한 연구)

  • This study conducted a survey the creators of less than 100,000 subscribers about the motivation of choosing MCN, dissatisfaction factors, and the need for public supports. The results show that the motivation to select MCN is that they were satisfied with content distribution and distribution support. However, the creators who distrusted the MCN or were able to operate independently were working independently. Creators were aware of the difficulties of entering overseas market. Creators who were not affiliated with MCN recognized content marketing and distribution. Creators affiliated with MCN recognized that it's the most difficult to enter overseas markets. And regardless of affiliation, satisfaction with profitability was low. In terms of gender, female creators were found to be less satisfied with video production excellence and ease of use of the video platform. Early creators commonly required infrastructure such as production support and production facilities, and particularly demanded public support for marketing and overseas expansion.

  • The manufacturing output of our country's marine equipment industry has enlarged due to the rapid growth of the shipbuilding industry in our country since the 1990's. But recently, the relative newcomers, BRICs, Vietnam and Turkey promote the shipbuilding industry with the government supports, but these countries will be the huge market in the marine equipments. So that, the marine equipment companies of our country should strengthen the international competitiveness, specially with the reinforcement of overseas marketing and after service. Korea Marine Equipment Association(KOMEA) established the Global Support Center in Busan to strengthen overseas marketing and technical A/S. In this paper, the more effective global A/S system and business model for marine equipment industry are suggested including the strategic action plan, considering the demands of customer and the mechanism of A/S in marine equipments.

  • Risk management is an important element for successful management of overseas construction projects. This study reports a case study in which we proposed a risk management planning and procedure for plant construction which can be applied throughout the project life cycle. We analyzed the risk management practices of Korean construction companies by applying the concept of the PRINCE2 method developed in the UK, and proposed a risk management planning and procedure with organizational structure and working process. The suggested risk management planning and procedure was applied to an overseas plant construction project, and produced good results. It is believed that the procedure suggested here can also be aplied to other companies to enhance the competency in the global construction market.

Deep Learning-Based Stock Fluctuation Prediction According to Overseas Indices and Trading Trend by Investors (해외지수와 투자자별 매매 동향에 따른 딥러닝 기반 주가 등락 예측)

  • Stock price prediction is a subject of research in various fields such as economy, statistics, computer engineering, etc. In recent years, researches on predicting the movement of stock prices by learning artificial intelligence models from various indicators such as basic indicators and technical indicators have become active. This study proposes a deep learning model that predicts the ups and downs of KOSPI from overseas indices such as S&P500, past KOSPI indices, and trading trends by KOSPI investors. The proposed model extracts a latent variable using a stacked auto-encoder to predict stock price fluctuations, and predicts the fluctuation of the closing price compared to the market price of the day by learning an LSTM suitable for learning time series data from the extracted latent variable to decide to buy or sell based on the value. As a result of comparing the returns and prediction accuracy of the proposed model and the comparative models, the proposed model showed better performance than the comparative models.

  • This study aimed to examine the current status of mobile applications for garden design and extract valuable contents for the development of garden design programs for future reference. Mobile applications released in Korean or English on Google Play App Market as of July, 2018 were analyzed in this study (1 application in Korea and 14 applications overseas). The purposes of this study are to analyze the components of the programs for those who actually intend to create a garden and to use it as a resource for developing mobile applications for garden design. Thus, program components and contents were analyzed for garden design applications based on real space (1 application in Korea and 3 applications overseas) that could actually help users. The analysis of mobile applications for garden design shows that while overseas garden programs are rapidly developing in various fields, the number of garden design mobile applications developed in Korea and the amount of information platforms are significantly insufficient. This study suggested flowchart for garden design mobile applications based on the analysis results of existing garden design application. This flowchart includes a series of processes from planning/designing gardens to purchasing plants and facilities to constructing/maintaining gardens for users who intend to design and create a real garden. Furthermore, this study proposed a freemium business model based on 4R(Reflex, Reality, Real place, Real communication) marketing strategies for mobile applications. Realistic experiences can be increased through graphics and information about gardens and plants provided in this study, and location-based information services as well as the creation of systems connected with vendors and suppliers of products related to gardens can induce consumers' purchasing behaviors. Additionally PR activities through various garden-related cultural events are expected to attract more users.

Internal and External Assessment of Contract Management Competences in the Overseas Construction Projects (해외 건설프로젝트 계약관리 역량의 대내적·대외적 평가)

  • Even though domestic construction companies are expanding into overseas construction markets, the profitability of overseas project are decreasing and finally some biggest domestic construction companies recorded heavy deficit one after another in 2013. Contract management, which is very deeply related to profitability, is the most difficult area to domestic construction companies, especially in Middle East and Asia where they have the highest market share and a high level of contract management is required. The purpose of this study is to assess their contract management competences to help them improve contract management skills and strategies. First, we defined the overseas project contract management process and selected competences from the each process stage. Then, we conducted a survey with overseas project experts. For considering their competences from various angles, we divided survey groups into domestic construction groups and other groups (Contract consultancy agencies and Construction research institutes) to understand the internal and external perspective of the domestic construction companies' contract management competences. The results of survey was analyzed by using paired samples t-test, Borich Needs Assessment Model and Independent t-test. We expected that the results of this study could contributes to establish strategies for enhancing the domestic construction companies' contract management competencies.

Analysis of the major subcontract competence factors of overseas plant construction (해외 플랜트 공사의 주요 하도급 역량 요인 도출 및 분석)

  • In 2012, Korean overseas construction market has achieved 64.9 billion dollars of contract order and its amount has increased since the mid 2000's. However, importance of qualitative growth based on profitability as well as quantitative growth is also emphasized. This study analyzed overseas plant project's subcontract process management which is closely related to cost management as one of the qualitative growth methods. In order to select major subcontract processes, extensive literature review and focus group interview(FGI) were implemented and then professionals with years of experience in the overseas plant projects were participated in the questionnaire survey. The collected data were analyzed by Benefit-Structure Analysis(BSA) model. The findings of this study include: (1) the seven and six subcontract processes are positioned in the area of importance control factor and in the area of maintenance/control factor, respectively; (2) administration capability attainment is needed for the six subcontract processes in the area of importance control factor and sustainable management system is required for the processes in the maintenance/control factor area. The further research will identify key subcontract processes to be managed for overseas plant projects by Korean EPC contractors based on the findings of this research.

  • This research is about global investment for managing the important position, what Korea is doing in World's main market. Considering there are some differences between developed countries' model and developing countries' model in doing direct overseas investment, they target to get political agreement and develop the new invest plan and strategy by understanding changes of Korean manufacturing companies in direct overseas investment between 2007 and 2012 and analyzing the change of yearly investment motivation factors and acturing factors for investment. The result from this result let us know that company should develop their own idea for their competitive advantage by doing direct overseas investment with the existing the on which convinces the competitive advantage for investing overseas. From the analyzing result, even though it is fairly true that raising wage and getting resources, avoiding customs, and developing alternating industries for export had influenced at the beginning, overseas investing companies' policy will be influenced by the results from studying marketing-pursuit type, which emphasizes to manage trade income and outgo, keeping the balance in the black, ensuring raw materials, local producing and manufacturing by using low-wage people for local sale, and situation for changing investing tendency as service industry.

An Empirical Study on the Determinants of Foreign Market Entrance of Japanese Enterprises -focusing on the Viewpoint Macro Economy- (일본기업의 해외시장 진출의 결정요인에 관한 경험적 연구 -거시경제 관점을 중심으로-)

  • This study first analyzes economical environment change (factor) of investment nation Japan and Japanese enterprise at the analysis of Japanese enterprise's over-seas expansion factor and influence. As a result of an analysis of the factor about Japanese enterprise's overseas expansion from 1990 to 1996 and from 1998 to 2006, commonly applied factors were Yen exchange rate, interest rates, wage, enterprise profit, facility investment, and consumption expenditure. Especially, as a result of regression analysis, a sudden change of "low interest rate" was main factor at Japanese enterprise's overseas expansion from 1990 to 1996, and Japan's "Yen ex-change rate" was drawn as an important factor from 1998 to 2006. That is, from 1990 to 1996, a shock by a sudden rise in Yen value could be viewed gradually accumulated and absorbed inside Japanese economy from 1998 to 2006. Whereas it could be said that Japanese enterprise's overseas expansion was accelerated under Japanese government's overseas supporting policy and "low interest rate" together with the factor in the rise of Yen value from 1998 to 2006.
