균열선단의 소성스트레치를 이용한 피로균열성장모델 (A model of fatigue crack growth based on plastic stretch at the crack tip)

  • 피로균열성장모델을 유도하고 지연모델을 제안하였다. 피로균열성장모델은 피로균열선단의 소성변형으로 인하여 균열표면에 발생하는 잔류소성스트레치를 고려하고 있다. 균열 성장률은 균열선단 재료요소의 소성변형에너지와 누적피로손상으로부터 계산된다. 유도한 균열성장모델로부터 계산한 균열성장률은 AL6061-T651과 17-4PH 주강의 시험결과와 잘 일치하고 있다. 피로균열성장지연모델은 인장과대하중으로부터 생성된 잔류소성스트레치를 근거로 하고 있으며, 인장과대하중은 다음 하중 사이클의 소성변형률을 감소시킨다. Strip-yield모델을 이용하여 균열선단의 소성역을 계산하였다. 새로 제안된 지연모델은 인장과대하중하의 피로균열선장특성 및 지체지연 현상을 잘 기술하고 있다.

치과위생사의 직무 스트레스에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석 (A Study on Factors Affecting Dental Hygienists' Job Stress)

  • The purpose of this study is to find options which reduce the job stress and to enhance morale through a variable analysis, and also apply this data in the legal and administration fields. The data for the research was obtained from 217 dental hygienists working in the dental clinics, dental hospitals and university's dental hospitals' in Seoul. The tool used by this study was a Questionnaire measuring on-the-job stress of dental hygienists, was a modified and revised. The Questionnaire version used to measure bank's job stress and used to suggest options by Dae-ha Yoon(1991). Classification of items for measuring job stress was based on Theoretical Study on Job Stress by Dae-hyon Song(1986). The scale used in study was the two points (yes or no in the job stress) scale measuring for variables. The period of data collection was 30 days from December 4, 1995 to January 5, 1996. The methods of data collection were self-writing, direct visit, and postal Questionnaire answering, 224 copies of Questionnaire data were collected, but only 217 copies were used. 7 copies could not be analyzed, were not used for this study. The data analysis was conducted by SPSS after coding the collected raw data. The general characteristics was obtained from real digits and percentages. In order to analyze the difference of sub-variables against the job stress based on general characteristics. Mean, Standard Deviation, and F test (ANDVA) were conducted. The following were the results of job stress variables: 1. Meaningful variable affecting the working organization, is compensation system(p〈0.03). 2. Meaningful variable affecting the working period, is work overload(p〈0.02). 3. Meaningful variable affecting average patients per day, is the career management and payment(p〈0.04, p〈0.01). 4. Meaningful variable affecting number of staff, is the comrade relationship, role conflict among patients, work overload, and job overload(p〈0.000, p〈0.05, p〈0.04, p〈0.01). The comrade relationship is most affected to the number of staffs aides. 5. Meaningful variables affecting job diversion, are the desire and value, the non-role play, and the environment(p〈0.003, p〈0.02, p〈0.005).

영구자석 커플링의 신뢰성 향상 (Reliability Evaluation of a Permanent Magnetic Coupling)

  • Since permanent magnet coupling transfers power by magnetic force without contact, it has little shock, vibration, noise. In case of overload, it protects a pump or a motor which is relatively important by slipping internally. In this study, failure analysis and test evaluation on the permanent magnet coupling have been proposed and the process that reliability of the product improves through design improvement has been presented. And failure cause of typical failure case has been investigated and improvement plan has been presented. Finally, reliability improvement is established by analysis of the test results of before and after acceleration test.

Load-Carrying Capacity Assessment of Deteriorated Rural Bridge

  • Most of rural bridges have passed 30 years of age since they were built, which have to support unexpected overload caused by changed design load and excessive amount of transportation. For these rural bridges, repairs and replacements are needed. Even though there have been attempt to estimate the safety of existing bridges deteriorated with major defects, those approaches must rely on the observable damage and subsequent decisions are made subjectively. To avoid the high cost of rehabilitation, the bridge rating must correctly represent the present load-carrying capacity. Rating engineers use a methods such as Allowable Stress Design (ASD), Load Factor Design (LFD), and Load Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) to evaluate the bridge load carrying capacity. In this paper, the load rating methods are introduced, and it is illustrated how to use the load test data from literature survey. Load test is conducted to the bridge that was built 30 years ago in rural area. From load test results, new maintenance method is suggested instead of the bridge replacement.

고속용 풀리형식 장력조정장치 개발 (A Development of Pulley-type Tensioning Device for a High Speed Railway)

  • In the electrical railway, the tension ascension of contact wire is essential to speed up of train and current collection performance of catenary largely depends on the tension. The tension variation rate of the tensioning device used in existing line limits within 5%, and the tension variation rate of the spring-type tensioning device installed at the section where tensioning length is short bounds within 15%. So it is urgent for us to localize it for high speed line, which the tension variation rate is limited within 3%. Therefore in this study, a pulley-type tensioning device for high speed line is developed. To verify the performance of developed device, a performance test, overload test and failure test is carried out under the code of the Kyung-Bu High Speed line. And it is secured durability performance through a fatigue test.

  • Acoustic emission behavior during fatigue crack growth test was investigated under various loading condition. To describe the acoustic emission activity, counts rate (d/dn) was related with SIFR (stress intensity factor range, K). Results indicated that SIFR could be divided into two parts according to its relationship with counts rate. For $K<25_{MPa\sqrt{m}}$, counts rate was increased as the SIFR increased. However, for values greater than $25_{MPa\sqrt{m}}$ , decreasing behavior was shown. This behavior of counts rate corresponding SIFR was keeping the same trend regardless of load range or crack length. Acoustic emission response to the single overload was sudden drop and slow recovery in counts rate like crack growth retardation. Under variable loading condition, counts rate of each loading block was same as that of constant amplitude loading. Overall experimental data was somewhat scattered since sensitive characteristics of acoustic emission method. However, these empirical relations indicated that counts rate was uniquely correlate with single parameter, SIFR.

  • This paper illustrates a new fuzzy effective load model for probabilistic and fuzzy production cost simulation of the load point of the composite power system. A model for reliability evaluation of a transmission system using the fuzzy set theory is proposed for considering the flexibility or ambiguity of capacity limitation and overload of transmission lines, which are subjective matter characteristics. A conventional probabilistic approach was also used to model the uncertainties related to the objective matters for forced outage rates of generators and transmission lines in the new model. The methodology is formulated in order to consider the flexibility or ambiguity of load forecasting as well as capacity limitation and overload of transmission lines. It is expected that the Fuzzy CMELDC (CoMposite power system Effective Load Duration Curve) proposed in this study will provide some solutions to many problems based on nodal and decentralized operation and control of an electric power systems in a competitive environment in the future. The characteristics of this new model are illustrated by some case studies of a very simple test system.

임상 간호사의 역할과부담과 기본간호술 수행 시의 무균술 이행의 관계 (Relationship between Nursing Task Overload and Aseptic Technique Performance in Clinical Nursing Skills)

  • Purpose: The study was investigated to identify the relationship between nursing workload and aseptic technique performance by clinical nurses, and to decrease the incidence rate of nosocomial infection. Methods: Participants (N=283) were recruited in B city from April to June 2007. The data were collected by a structured questionnaire and analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results: Nursing workload was rated 9.85 out of a total score of 15. The level of aseptic technique performance as the basis for insertion of a Foley catheter was 42.72 out of a total score of 50, and as basis for insertion of intravenous catheter for fluid therapy was 40.11 out of a total score of 55. There was not a significant relationship between aseptic technique performance and nursing workload. There was a significant positive relationship between the aseptic technique performance in insertion of Foley catheter and that of intravenous catheter for fluid therapy (r=.279, p<.001). Conclusions: Attention to asepsis by nurses is crucial in nosocomial infection-related clinical nursing skills.

로터리 압축기용 Short-Cycle 신뢰성 시험장치 제안 (Suggestion of Test Apparatus for Reliability Evaluation of a Rotary Compressor with a Short-Cycle)

  • In this paper, a test apparatus for reliability evaluation of a rotary compressor has been suggested with a short-cycle concept. $CO_2$ refrigerant is adopted for this cycle to avoid phase change during cycle operation. Evaporator is not necessary in short-cycle. Utilizing a short-cycle, the test apparatus was built on the purpose of evaluating the reliability of each rotary compressor on the conveyer belt of the factory. The primary validation of the test apparatus is discussed by analyzing the experimental heat balance data. Additional validation was performed through the overload continuous operation test where the wear rate of the $CO_2$ short-cycle was found to similar to that of the R22 normal-cycle. The reliability evaluation test apparatus with a short-cycle in present investigation was found simple and efficient in the view of reducing sample numbers, costs, and test time in analyzing the reliability of rotary compressors.

  • 본 연구에서는 BWIM(Bridge Weigh-in-Motion) 시스템을 기반으로 주행차량의 총중량 및 축중량 추정을 수행하였다. BWIM 시스템의 개발을 위해 차량 주행시험은 필수적이지만 그 비용과 시간이 많이 소요되고, 다양한 차량 주행 조건의 적용이 어렵다. 따라서 차량 주행시험의 비용 및 시간적 문제점을 보완하고, 주행 조건에 따른 다양한 교량응답의 확보할 수 있는 수치 시뮬레이션이 현장실험과 병행되어야한다. 본 연구에서는 교량의 동적특성을 반영하는 수치 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 교량의 응답을 획득하고, 통행 차량의 중량을 산출하는 BWIM 시스템에 적용하여 총중량 및 축중량 추정을 수행하고 정밀해석모델기반 과적단속기술에 대하여 제안하였다.
