그림책을 활용한 인성교육활동이 유아의 친사회적 행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Character Education Activities Utilizing Picture Books on Young Children's Pro-social Behaviors)

  • 본 연구는 그림책을 활용한 인성교육활동이 유아의 친사회적 행동에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 G시에 위치한 민간 어린이집의 만 5세 유아 46명으로 실험집단과 비교집단으로 구성하였다. 그림책의 내용을 듣고, 이야기 나누기, 동극, 언어활동, 음률활동, 수활동, 과학활동, 게임 등의 통합 활동으로 구성된 인성교육활동을 12주 동안 주 3회 총 36회 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 그림책을 활용한 인성교육활동을 경험한 만 5세 실험집단이 비교집단의 유아들에 비해 친사회적 행동 증진이 증진된 것으로 나타났다. 친사회적 행동의 하위요인인 지도성, 도움주기, 의사소통능력, 주도적 배려, 시도하기, 나누기, 감정 이입 및 조절 능력에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그림책을 활용한 인성교육활동은 유아들에게 신뢰감 형성과 사회적 태도를 익히게 하여 친사회적 행동 증진에 영향을 주었으므로 유아교육현장에서 유아들의 인성교육지도를 위해 활용되어야 할 것이다.

Self-Efficacy as a Predictor of Self-Care in Persons with Diabetes Mellitus: Meta-Analysis

  • Diabetes mellitus, a universal and prevalent chronic disease, is projected to be one of the most formidable worldwide health problems in the 21st century. For those living with diabetes, there is a need for self-care skills to manage a complex medical regimen. Self-efficacy which refers to one's belief in his/her capability to monitor and perform the daily activities required to manage diabetes has be found to be related to self-care. The concept of self-efficacy comes from social cognitive theory which maintains that cognitive mechanism mediate the performance of behavior. The literature cites several research studies which show a strong relationship between self-efficacy and self-care behavior. Meta-analysis is a technique that enables systematic review and quantitative integration of the results from multiple primary studies that are relevant to a particular research question. Therefore, this study was done using meta-analysis to quantitatively integrate the results of independent research studies to obtain numerical estimates of the overall effect of a self-efficacy with diabetic patient on self-care behaviors. The research proceeded in three stages : 1) literature search and retrieval of studies in which self-efficacy was related to self-care, 2) coding, and 3) calculation of mean effect size and data analysis. Seventeen studies which met the research criteria included study population of adults with diabetes, measures of self-care and measures of self-efficacy as a predictive variable. Computation of effect size was done on DSTAT which is a statistical computer program specifically designed for meta-analysis. To determine the effect of self-efficacy on self-care practice homogeneity tests were conducted. Pooled effect size estimates, to determine the best subvariable for composite variables, metabolic control variables and component of self-efficacy and self-care, indicated that the effect of self-efficacy composite on self-care composite was moderate to large. The weighted mean effect size of self-efficacy composite and self-care composite were +.76 and the confidence interval was from +.66 to +.86 with the number of subjects being 1,545. The total for this meta-analysis result showed that the weighted mean effect sizes ranged from +.70 to +1.81 which indicates a large effect. But since reliabilities of the instruments in the primary studies were low or not stated, caution must be applied in unconditionally accepting the results from these effect sizes. Meta-analysis is a useful took for clarifying the status of knowledge development and guiding decision making about future research and this study confirmed that there is a relationship between self-efficacy and self-care in patients with diabetes. It, thus, provides support for nurses to promote self-efficacy in their patients. While most of the studies included in this meta-analysis used social cognitive theory as a framework for the study, some studies use Fishbein & Ajzen's attitude model as a model for active self-care. Future research is needed to more fully define the concept of self-care and to determine what it is that makes patients feel competent in their self-care activities. The results of this study showed that self-efficacy can promote self-care. Future research is needed with experimental design to determine nursing interventions that will increase self-efficacy.

부산지역 할인점의 점포이미지 관리전략 (Managing Store Images by Discount Retailers in Korea)

  • 1997년부터 국내유통시장이 개방된 이래, 국내외의 국적소속으로 국내에서 영업활동을 하는 할인점들은 치열한 시장점유율 쟁탈전을 벌이고 있다. 이처럼 할인점간의 경쟁이 격화되고 있는 시점에서 유통업계의 경영진과 이 분야를 연구하는 학자는 할인점에 대한 만족도와 충성도 등에 대한 심도 있는 이해와 이를 개선하기 위한 노력이 절실히 요망된다. 이런 맥락에서 본 연구에서는 할인점의 점포이미지가 할인점에 대한 소비자의 태도, 만족도 및 재방문의도에 어떤 영향을 미치는가를 검토하였다. 부산지역 소비자 416명 을 대상으로 한 설문조사를 시행한 결과, 할인점의 점포이미지는 할인점에 대한 태도와 만족도에 영향을 주지만 할인점의 재방문의도에는 직접적인 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 할인점에 대한 태도는 할인점에 대한 만족도와는 직접적인 관련성이 없고 할인점의 재방문의도에 보다 직접적으로 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 할인점에 대해 긍정적인 점포이미지를 가진 소비자일수록 할인점에 대해 만족할 가능성이 높고, 이런 만족도는 할인점의 재방문의도에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이런 연구결과에 따른 이론적 및 실무적 시사점과 본 연구의 한계점 그리고 미래의 연구방향을 제시하였다.

교통사고 영상기록장치(DVR : Driving Video Recorder)의 설치가 운전자의 운전태도 변화와 교통사고 저감에 미치는 효과 분석 (Impacts Analysis of the operation of DVR(Driving Video Recorder) on Driver's Behavior Change and Reduction of Traffic Accident)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 DVR(Driving Video Recorder)의 이용이 교통사고 저감과 교통사고 처리 비용의 절감에 얼마나 효과가 있는 지 살펴보고, DVR의 설치가 택시 운전자의 운전태도 변화에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것이다. 본 연구를 위한 데이터는 부산 택시운전자를 통해 획득하였으며, 실증적인 분석을 위해 구조방정식 모형과 two-way ANOVA를 이용하였다. 본 연구의 개략적인 결과는 DVR 이용 후 부산 법인 택시 회사 4개소에서 교통사고가 평균적으로 32.7% 정도 감소하는 것을 보여준다. 뿐만 아니라 DVR의 이용은 택시 사고 처리 비용의 측면에서 택시 업체의 경제적 이익에 상당한 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상된다. 더구나 본 연구는 DVR 이용자 집단과 비 이용자 집단 간의 운전태도의 차이를 확인할 수 있었고, 운전자들의 운전태도에 미치는 긍정적인 영향과 부정적인 영향을 구분할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 '태도', '주관적 규범', '행동통제력 지각' 요인이 '행동 의도' 요인을 거쳐 간접적으로 DVR 장착이라는 계획된 '행동'에 미치는 영향력과 '행동통제력 지각' 요인이 직접적으로 '행동' 요인에 미치는 영향력을 정량적으로 도출하였다. 결론적으로, 본 연구는 교통안전법에 의거 사업용 자동차에 의무적으로 운행기록장치(차량용 블랙박스)를 설치할 때 영상기록장치의 영상기록기능을 추가하는 것을 제안한다.

일부 지역사회 저소득층 주민을 대상으로 한 가정간호사업의 효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on Effectiveness of the Home Care Services for the Low Income Inhabitants)

  • This study was intended to assess the need of home nursing care and analyze the effect of home nursing care, and find out the problems during the performance of home nursing care for the chronic patients among the low-income people in urban area. Data collection by interview was carried out from Nov. 1991 to Jul. 1992. The main results were as follows; 1) Total subjects for the need assessment of home nursing care were 123 households wi th 488 persons in a urban poor area. Over half of households $(57.7\%)$ was teenage family. The overall living conditions were poor and the average monthly income was 580 thousands won. $74.8\%$ of subjects was covered by medical care insurance and only $4.7\%$ was covered by public assistance. The morbidity rate was $8.2\%$ among 488 subjects and $27.5\%$ of them was not treated at all, $30\%$ was treated in utilizing pharmacies or local clinics. 2) The subjects of home nursing care were 46 with Hypertension or DM who agreeded the participation of study among registered patients at a public health center in Incheon. Home visiting was performed at intervals per one month for one year. Most of them were the elder(mean age=61 years) and long term patients(7.8 years continued). Home nursing care was effective. That is, blood pressure(including systolic and diastolic pressure) was significantly reduced (t(n=22)=2.31, P=.031, t(n=24)=4.16, P=.000 respectively) and knowledge of disease(t(N=46)=-7.63, P=.000), attitude of disease (t(N =46) = -4.92, P=.000), and self-care(t(N =46) = -4.89, P= .000) were significantly improved through home nursing care. But there was no difference in blood sugar for diabetics between the beginning and the end of visits. At the beginning of visit for home nursing care, sex$(\beta=-0414,\;t=-3.012)$ and nursing need({3=.310, t=2.164) were influencing self-care, and duration of disease$(\beta=.297,\;t=2.106)$ and nursing need $(\beta=.385, t=20417)$ were influencing blood pressure, blood sugar level. Namely, the subjects who were male and had higher nursing need showed better self-care and the longer duration of disease and the higher nursing need were relationship with the better blood pressure and blood sugar level. At the end of visit for home nursing care after one year, the blood pressure and blood sugar level was influenced by age $(\beta.320,\;t= 2.242)$, duration of disease ($(\beta.352,\;t= 2.395)$ and nursing need $(\beta=.350,\;t=2.623)$ and self-care had no influencing factor. The higher age and the longer duration of disease and the higher nursing need were relationship with the better blood pressure and blood sugar level. 3) The problems that were found out during the performance of home nursing care were the absent of useful protocols for services and the clear evaluation base, and the difficulty of teaching elders who were the major part of our subjects.

경남지역 간호사의 영양지식, 식생활태도 및 영양소 섭취상태 평가 (Evaluation of Nutrition Knowledge, Dietary Attitudes and Nutrient Intakes of Nurses Working in Kyungnam Area)

  • This study was performed to investigate the dietary attitudes and nutrient intakes of nurses. A total of 291 nurses working at hospitals in the Kyungnam area participated in the study. The general characteristics and dietary attitudes of the subjects were surveyed using a self-administered questionnaire, and nutrient intakes was examined using one-day 24-hour recall method. The results were as follows : 67.7 percent of the subjects were nurses, 32.3% were nursing assistants. Average age of the subjects was 26.9 years old, average nursing experience was 5.7 years, and 70.7% of the subjects graduated from junior college. The rates of shift work (45.4%) and non-shift work (54.6%) were similar, and 91.5% of subjects worked on a three-shift a day schedule. The average nutrition knowledge score was 14.3 $\pm$ 2.5 out of a possible 20 points. Most of the nurses had experienced dietary problems such as skipping meals and overeating. Sixty-eight point three percent of the nurses had breakfast less than 3 times a week, and the main reason for skipping meals was a lack of time. Most of the nurses (74.1%) didn't exercise regularly. The average score on dietary habits was 55.6 out of 100, and most of the subjects belonged to the‘fair’group in terms of dietary habits. Married nurses, and those over 31 years of age, scored significantly higher on dietary habits than unmarried nurses, and those under 25 years of age (p < 0.001), and the scores significantly increased with increasing age. Mean daily carbohydrate and fat intake was 231.5 $\pm$ 66.1 g, 41.1 $\pm$ 18.8 g, and cholesterol and crude fiber intake was 238.2 $\pm$ 184.6 mg, 5.2 $\pm$ 2.0 g. respectively. Compared with the recommended allowances, the energy (1560.0 $\pm$ 448.5 kcal), calcium (453.8 $\pm$ 222.3 mg) iron (10.6 $\pm$ 7.6 mg), vitamin A (658.5 $\pm$ 538.1 R.E) and vitamin B$_2$ (0.96 $\pm$ 0.5 mg) figures were below the Korean RDA, and the protein (65.9 $\pm$ 31.0 g), vitamin B, (1.14 $\pm$ 0.5 mg), vitamin C (143.2 $\pm$ 119.6 mg), niacin (14.4 $\pm$ 6.3 mg) and phosphorus (958.1 $\pm$ 352.1 mg) figures were above the Korean RDA. The average carbohydrate, protein, fat ratio of energy intake was 60:17:23. The intake ratio of Ca and P showed an unbalance of 1:2. The dietary habits had a positive correlation (p < 0.001) with nutrition intake except vitamin A and vitamin C. Therefore, In order to improve overall dietary behavior and nutritional status, systematic nutrition education programs should be developed.

커피 전문점 선택요인과 만족도에 관한 비교 연구 (A Comparative Analysis of Customer Choice and Satisfaction Factors among Three Types of Coffee Shops)

  • Purpose - Theorists and researchers in the area of customer satisfaction generally agree that product satisfaction intervenes between expectancy disconfirmation and various post-purchase cognitive states including attitude and behavioral intention. Studies in a variety of settings have supported the effect of expectation and its disconfirmation on satisfaction, but only a small number of studies address the cognitive consequences of satisfaction decisions and none report data on choice processes such as brand selection. This study examines the influence of satisfaction and its determinants on behavioral intention and product preference in eight coffee shops across the country. Generally it was found in both overall and summed attribute analyses that satisfaction was a function of expectation and disconfirmation, that intention was a function of satisfaction, and that preference was influenced by satisfaction and disconfirmation, the latter having the greater effect. Research design, data, and methodology - The main objective of this study was to assess the dimensions of consumer selection and satisfaction in choosing a coffee shop. In order to achieve this objective, a study of coffee shops across the country was conducted. This study comprised in-depth questionnaires distributed to coffee shop customers. A survey was conducted from September 1, 2011 to September 30, 2011, involving franchise coffee shop, independently owned coffee shop, and roastery coffee shop customers. Results - Hypothesis 1-1, which states that coffee shop choice attributes differ based on the type of coffee shop, is accepted. It has a significance level of 0.05, according to choosing properties of coffee shop by convenience of transportation, varieties of beans, residence of the owner (manager), information, and relationships. Hypothesis 1-2, which states that satisfaction with the choice factor differs depending on the type of coffee shops, is accepted. The P-values for cleanliness and varieties of beans were 0.04 and 0.00, respectively, and have a significance level of 0.05, according to the satisfaction with the chosen coffee shop. Hypothesis 2-1, which states that the importance of the choice attributes in coffee shop selections differs based on the demographic characteristics of the customers, is accepted. According to the t-test result, convenience of parking and residence of the owner (manager) are significant. Hypothesis 2-2, which states that satisfaction with the choice factor will differ depending of the type of coffee shop, is accepted. According to the t-test result, convenience of parking and residence of the owner (manager) are significant. Conclusions - This study has shown that intention to revisit a certain shop is most likely correlated to satisfaction in all cases. In order to offer subsequent developments for coffee shops, this study also identifies relations between customer satisfaction and selection by finding significant factors. In order to maximize customers' satisfaction, coffee shops should analyze and satisfy customers' needs and wants in terms of coffee service. While the findings do not generalize beyond the mall sampling procedure used here, we have hopefully identified a close approximation of the process of satisfaction decisions used by consumers generally.

호텔기업 종업원의 감성지능이 고객지향성과 CRM성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Emotional Intelligence on the Customer Orientation and Customer Relationship Management Performance of Hotel Employees)

  • Purpose - This study aimed to (a) investigate the effects of emotional intelligence on customer orientation, (b) examine the impact of customer orientation on customer relationship management (CRM) performance (including CRM-related variables such as 'relationship commitment,' 'image of corporation,' and 'customer loyalty'), and (c) identify the conceptual framework of emotional intelligence. Research design, data, and methodology - The data were collected using a questionnaire given to a sample of employees of luxury hotels in the metropolitan area. To test the hypotheses, AMOS were conducted for the 271 respondents of the sample using the SPSS Win 17.0 software. The concept of emotional intelligence (EI) has been on the radar of many leaders and managers over the past few decades. Emotional intelligence is generally accepted to be a combination of emotional and interpersonal competencies that influence behavior, thoughts, and interactions with others. Emotional intelligence consists of four factors: understanding the self's emotion, understanding other people's emotions, emotion utilization, and emotion control. Understanding the self's emotion means to understand of my own emotions. Understanding other people's emotions is to understand of the emotions of the people around me and to know how my friends feel based on their behavior. The concept of emotion utilization means to set goals for myself and then try to achieve them, encouraging myself to do my best. The concept of emotion control means I can control my temper, handle difficult situations rationally, and calm down quickly when I am very angry. Results - As a result of the analysis, three factors (understanding the self's emotion, understanding of other people's emotions, and emotion utilization) were shown to have a significant effect on customer orientation. Emotion control had an insignificant effect on customer orientation. Only emotion control makes it difficult to solve customers' problems because it is a passive behavior. In order to solve the customers' problems, hotel employees have to show a positive attitude. Second, customer orientation had a significant effect on customer relationship management performance (customer relationship commitment, corporate image, and customer loyalty). In other words, customer orientation increases commitment to customer relationships. For example, employees who have a customer-orientated perspective provide good service to their customers, while employees who don't have a customer-orientated perspective can't satisfy their customers. Customer orientation can also generate a good image among customers, because they evaluate the image of a hotel through the behavior of hotel employees. So it is very important for employees to show excellent customer orientation. Conclusions - It is very important for hotel CEOs to manage their employees' emotional intelligence. In order to increase their employees' emotional intelligence abilities, CEOs have to manage the overall corporate culture and reward programs to achieve what they want. This is because the system can lead to a customer-orientated mind-set and CRM performance among employees. As a result, the hotel CEO has to pay attention to the emotional intelligence of employees to achieve strong CRM performance. The sentence as originally written was a bit unclear. 일선 간호관리자를 위한 리더십 훈련 프로그램 개발 (A Study on the development of leadership training program for first-line nurse managers)

  • The health care environment becomes more competitive every day. It has fallen to nurse managers - from vice presidents of patient care to nurse managers and their assistants - to recruit and develop a workforce that successfully meets the needs of both patients and the organization. This means employees who demonstrate advanced critical thinking skills, creative problem solving, and sound decision making skills combined with clinical skills and patient advocacy. The environment which nurse managers create and the way they relate to their workforce, are pivotal to organizational viability. Especially leadership of first -line nurse managers contributes to the success of their organizations. First-line nurse managers are deserved to be one of the most administrative supervisors through the middle stratum in a hospital organization as being a manager in the field service if assessed from the overall aspects of hospital, as being an interim managers in the nursing department as well as being a supreme supervisor in a unit in terms of an organizational structure in the hospital. Similarly, as a compete leader, the first-line nurse managers have not only a professional which is qualified to perform a role of appropriate coordination with medical staff and key personnel but also hold an important key position a being responsible for performing his or her given role. The first-line nurse manager is expected to manage human and fiscal resources in ways not required before. While an identified need for well-prepared first-line nurse manager continues to plague the profession, first-line nurse managers often have difficulty providing the leadership required. The need leadership training to function effectively in their positions. But we hardly find a useful leadership training program for first-line nurse managers, therefore the purpose of this study was to developed the leadership training program for them. The steps of leadership program development were below: 1st step, 2 studies were done before develop a leadership program. One was done to ask to first-line nurse managers what they want to learn through leadership training, the other one was to ask the staff nurses what their opinions are for their first-line nurse managers leadership. 2nd step was searching other leadership programs contents. The results of this study were below: The total amount of hours is 24. Leadership training program contents are : Future of nursing profession (210min), understanding basic factor's of leadership and leadership theories(310 min), self understanding as first- line nurse managers(320 min), basic principle and practice of interpersonal relationship(210 min), assertiveness training, conflict management (180min), and group study(210min). This is challenging time to be a leader, especially in nursing. As nurse managers look toward the new millennium, it seems as through the same struggles are ahead that are behind. So nurse managers need to embrace change with a positive attitude. They need to demonstrate risk taking and support it in their staffs. All these things are possible that after they participate the leadership training program.

북한주민 생활 실태에 관한 국내 신문보도 프레임연구: 조선일보, 동아일보, 한겨레, 경향신문을 중심으로 (A News Frame Analysis by the South Korean Press on the Livelihoods of a North Koreans)

  • 본 연구는 "조선일보", "동아일보", "한겨레", "경향신문"을 대상으로 김대중, 노무현, 이명박 정부시절에 나타난 북한주민들의 생활관련 신문 보도 프레임과 정보원을 분석하여 북한보도의 실태를 살펴보고 대안을 모색하는 데 있다. 연구결과 1, 2차 프레임 분석에서는 일명 '진보신문'과 '보수신문'으로 대변되는 4개 신문들의 보도행태가 신문의 이념적 성향에 따라 각기 다른 프레임을 보여주는 것을 발견 할 수 있었다. 또한 정권시기별로 분석한 1, 2차 프레임은 신문의 이념과 관계없이 각 정권의 대북정책 기조와 연관되어 있다는 점이 발견되었다. 정보원 분석에서는 진보지에 비해 보수지가 익명의 정보원을 많이 활용하여 보도한다는 결과를 보여주고 있다. 국제사회와 북한과의 관계가 냉전으로 지속되는 상황에서 북한생활과 관련해 익명 정보원을 활용한 부정적 논조의 보도는 남한 국민들에게 북한에 대한 왜곡된 인식을 심어줄 가능성이 있고, 이러한 국내 신문의 보도태도가 전반적인 국내 언론의 북한보도에 대한 신뢰도에 영향을 미칠 수 있다.
