This paper propose a variable parameter estimations for variable over current load of five-phase squirrel-cage induction motor(IM) to servo control system. In order to high performance control of AC motor using a field oriented control(FOC) and direct torque control(DTC) algorithm, there are required precise motor parameters for slip calculation, flux observer, controller gain, torque command of current components, rotor position, speed estimation, and so on. We are suggest a analyzed estimation results of the motor parameters that developing five-phase squirrel-cage IM have a stator of concentrated winding for experimental within variable over current load at rated input frequency. There are results of stator winding measurement, no-load test, locked-rotor test, variable over current load test, and estimated parameters of equivalent circuits using manufactured experimental apparatus by IEEE Standard Test Procedure for Polyphase Induction Motors and Generators 112-2004.
The importance of process for repair and reinforcement of the bridge is increasing because of the lack of the fatigue load and stress, a lowering of the bridge load carrying capacity owing to impact and oscillation, deterioration on cultivation periods of the bridge, etc. Typically the experimenter values the bridge load carrying capacity by the real rating factor and response modification factor in bridge load rating through static load test and dynamic load test. But the error occurred in reliability of response modification factor in bridge load rating according to experience of experimenter. so tests of connecting probability theory and valuation of the bridge recently. The study is to compute the real load carrying capacity of the bridge and the rating factor and response modification factor on grade of the bridge, and calculate the probability of over-loaded truck load from Weigh In Motion(WIM) Data in FORTRAN programming applying to Monte-Carlo Simulation. At the result of this study, it is acquired that the new grade is computed for the probability of over-loaded truck load and surface inspection. The A grade is over 1.95, B grade is $1.55{\sim}1.94$, C grade is $1.26{\sim}1.54$, D grade is $1.14{\sim}1.25$, E grade is under 1.13 of rating factor, respectively.

In this study, the feasibility of alternative tractor Roll Over Protective Structure (ROPS) designed to evaluate conditions required for testing was confirmed. In accordance with Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) code 4, the required load energy of the tractor ROPS was determined. First, the tractor ROPS test was performed and a repeated test was performed using a simplified ROPS as an alternative tractor ROPS. The test procedure is first rearward, second lateral, and last forward based on ROPS. The load test device consists of a load cell that measures force and a LVDT that measures deformation. Precision was confirmed by calculating the relative standard deviation of the simplified ROPS repeated test. Accuracy was analyzed by calculating the mean relative error between the mean measured values in the simplified ROPS test and the tractor ROPS test. As a result, the relative standard deviation was less than 2.5% for force and 3.3% for maximum deformation overall, showed the highest precision in lateral load. The mean relative error value for force measured at the lateral load of simplified ROPS was 0.5%, showing the highest accuracy. In the front load test, the mean relative error of maximum deformation was 20.5%, showing the lowest accuracy. The mean relative error (MRE) was high in the forward load test was because of structural factors of the ROPS. The simplified ROPS model is expected to save money and time spent preparing tractors.
Presented are experimental results from 24 full-scale push test specimens to study the behaviour of composite beams with trapezoidal profiled sheeting laid transverse to the beam axis. The tests use a single-sided horizontal push test setup and are divided into two series. First series contained shear loading only and the second had normal load besides shear load. Four parameters are studied: the effect of wire mesh position and number of its layers, placing a reinforcing bar at the bottom flange of the deck, normal load and its position, and shear stud layout. The results indicate that positioning mesh on top of the deck flange or 30 mm from top of the concrete slab does not affect the stud's strength and ductility. Thus, existing industry practice of locating the mesh at a nominal cover from top of the concrete slab and Eurocode 4 requirement of placing mesh 30 mm below the stud's head are both acceptable. Double mesh layer resulted in 17% increase in stud strength for push tests with single stud per rib. Placing a T16 bar at the bottom of the deck rib did not affect shear stud behaviour. The normal load resulted in 40% and 23% increase in stud strength for single and double studs per rib. Use of studs only in the middle three ribs out of five increased the strength by 23% compared to the layout with studs in first four ribs. Eurocode 4 and Johnson and Yuan equations predicted well the stud strength for single stud/rib tests without normal load, with estimations within 10% of the characteristic experimental load. These equations highly under-estimated the stud capacity, by about 40-50%, for tests with normal load. AISC 360-16 generally over-estimated the stud capacity, except for single stud/rib push tests with normal load. Nellinger equations precisely predicted the stud resistance for push tests with normal load, with ratio of experimental over predicted load as 0.99 and coefficient of variation of about 8%. But, Nellinger method over-estimated the stud capacity by about 20% in push tests with single studs without normal load.
This study is to investigate its use by applying stainless steel wire mash reinforcement method of construction, which is newly developed, on the high strength concrete beam mixed with polymer-steel fiber. In this test, it is investigated and observed such as follows: the ultimate load, the initial flexure crack load, the initial diagonal tension crack load, the relation between load and deflection, load-strain relation, and also crack growth and fracture aspect by increasing load. The results of this test are; first, the stainless steel wire showed some useful reinforcement effects in multiplying the steel's resisting force of moment to the tensile force of beam or slab: second, the promoting strength and internal force was made in the process of the integration at the same reaction by using the penetrating polymer-mortar with an excellent durability and physical property. On the basis of this results, because such instances in applying stainless steel wire Mash reinforcement method of construction have been few so far, through the experimental investigation such as this test over and over again, the efficient and useful method must be developed for the practice.
In this paper, accelerated stress test(AST) for Magnetic Switch (MS) are applied to assure specified reliability of the products. Magnetic contactor that functions with over-current relay is called MS. Magnetic contactor closes and opens the motor load with ON/OFF switch of electronic contactor. It is also used for protecting and controlling the load. Magnetic contactor detects the over-current flow in the load with a over-current relay and disconnects the load by opening its control power. In this study, AST for product assembly are developed in order to improve the weak point so that increase the product reliability. Also we will show the basic information for the accelerated life test(ALT). The proposed AST results and procedures may be extended and applied to testing similar kinds of products to reduce test times and costs of the tests remarkably. Finally the results of this study will contribute to improving reliability of products and strengthening competitiveness of our products in the world markets.
Infill masonry walls are vulnerable to lateral loads, including seismic, wind, and concentrated push loads. Various strengthening metal fittings have been proposed to improve lateral load resistance, particularly against seismic loads. This study introduces the use of post-compressed wedges as a novel reinforcement method for infill masonry walls to enhance lateral load resistance. The resistance of the infill masonry wall against lateral-concentrated push loads was assessed using an out-of-plane push-over test on specimens sized 2,300×2,410×190 mm3. The presence or absence of wedges and wedge spacing were set as variables. The push-over test results showed that both the unreinforced specimen and the specimen reinforced with 300 mm spaced wedges toppled, while the specimen reinforced with 100 mm spaced wedges remained upright. Peak loads were measured to be 0.74, 29.77, and 5.88 kN for unreinforced specimens and specimens reinforced with 100 mm and 300 mm spaced wedges, respectively. Notably, a tighter reinforcement spacing yielded a similar strength, as expected, which was attributed to the increased friction force between the masonry wall and steel frame. The W-series specimens exhibited a trend comparable to that of the displacement ductility ratio. Overall, the findings validate that post-compressed wedges improve the out-of-plane strength of infill masonry walls.
Using the large diameter (D = 2,500mm, L = 40m) batter steel pipe piles, designed as compression piles but used as reaction piles during the static compression load test of socketed test piles (D = 1,000mm, L = 40m), static pile load tests for large diameter instrumented rock-socketed piles were performed. The reaction steel pipe piles were driven 20m into the marine deposit and weathered rock layer and then l0m socketed with reinforced concrete through the weathered rock layer and into hard rock layer. Steel pipe and concrete in the steel pile part, and concrete and rebars in the socketed parts were instrumented to measure strains in each part. The pullout amounts of reaction pile heads were also measured with LVDT. During the static pile load test, total compressional load of about 20MN was loaded on the head of test piles, but load above 20MN was not loaded due to lack of loading capacity of loading system. Over the course of the study, maximum pullout amount up to 7mm was measured in the heads of reaction piles when loaded op to 10MN and 1mm of pullout amount was measured. More than 85% of pullout load was transfered in the residual weathered rock layer and about 10% in the soft rock layer, which was somewhat different transfer mechanism in the static compressional load tests.

This paper focuses on the design, fabrication, testing and analysis of a novel load-bearing element with energy dissipation capability. A single element comprises two von-Mises trusses (VMTs), which are sandwiched between two plates and connected to dashpots that stroke as the VMTs cycle between stable equilibrium states. The elements can be assembled in-plane to form a large plate-like structure or stacked with different properties in each layer for improved load-adaptability. Also introduced in the elements are pre-loaded springs (PLSs) that provide high initial stiffness and allow the element to carry a static load even when the VMTs cannot under harmonic disturbance input. Simulations of the system behavior using the Simscape environment show good overall correlation with test data. Good energy dissipation capability is observed over a frequency range from 0.1 Hz to 2 Hz. The test and simulation results show that a two layer prototype, having one soft VMT layer and one stiff VMT layer, can provide good energy dissipation over a decade of variation in harmonic load amplitude, while retaining the ability to carry static load due to the PLSs. The paper discusses how system design parameter changes affect the static load capability and the hysteresis behavior.
The high temperature super-conductor transformer gains interests from the industries. This paper described construction and test results of a 10kVA HTS transformer. Three phase transformer with double pancake windings were constructed. BSCCO-2223 wire, silicon sheet steel core and FRP cryostats were used in that transformer After the test of basic properties of the 3 phase HTS transformer using no load test, short ciucuit test and full load test, continuous operation of 100 hours with pure resistive load has been carried out. Test proved over-load capability and reliability of the HTS transformer.
