  • Seungjeongwon Ilgi["承政院日記"], the Diaries of Royal Secretariat of the Joeson Dynasty is the most massive compilation of records in Korean history. Medical records in Seungjeongwon Ilgi have been studied but the procedures of clinical discussion[議藥] have not yet been studied. In this paper, main agents of clinical discussion, formation of participant doctor system, particularity of clinical discussion in Royal Court and problems derived from it will be discussed. Main agents of clinical discussion were court doctors[內醫], royal doctors[御醫] and participant doctors[議藥同參]. The king himself decided ultimately as a matter of form. Head of the Medical Dpt. of the Palace[藥房都提調] was in charge of attending to king, but head of the court doctor[首醫] led the actual discussion of deciding treatment. The Medical Dpt. of the Palace[內醫院] was divided into three sectors-court doctor division, acupuncture doctor division and participant doctor division. Palace doctors payed a great attention to avoid serious error. This tendency led them occasionally to passive management. Sometimes aggressive treatment is needed in the course of treating disease, but palace doctors tended to choose slow and gradual methods. It induced minor conflict between palace doctors and participant doctors from outside palace, because doctors from outside palace subordinated effectiveness. Their opinion had not been always recognized by court doctors. However, their role was meaningful because they provided flexibility to the rigidity of clinical discussion in the palace. It is important to evaluate clinical records in Seungjeongwon Ilgi["承政院日記"]. If we have broader eye on the clinical procedure in the palace, we can estimate the value of the contents more objectively and accurately.

  • This research was to suggest the types according to structural system of the pagoda in ancient East-Asia and analyze the pagoda to the west of Mireuksaji temple site by these types. It will be possible to understand consistently the relation of the various form of the pagoda. The results of this research were described separately as follows. 1. The Buddhist pagodas founded in the ancient East Asia can be categorized according to their structural system, which provide us with insight to understand the interrelationship of categories. The pagoda is mainly classified into three categories. The first consists of two structures, an internal and an external structure. The second exposes its internal structure to the outside, and the third has the external components changing into the internal ones. 2. Although the pagoda to the west of Mireuksaji Temple Site have an internal and an external structures, it actually solves the structural problem by adopting the masonry structure in the outside as well as in the inside. Especially in this structural consideration can be found in the stylobate and the foundation structure of the pillar. The plan of the pagoda to the west of Mireuksaji Temple Site was intended to reveal the plane of the post-lintel layered construction which has a member, a main pillar, and the inner space in the cube with stones.

  • We use two-dimensional high-resolution MHD simulations to investigate the effects of magnetic fields on the formation and evolution of such substructures as well as on the mass inflow rates to the galaxy center. We find that there exists an outermost x1-orbit relative to which gaseous responses to an imposed stellar bar potential are completely different between inside and outside. Inside this orbit, gas is shocked into dust lanes and infalls to form a nuclear ring. Magnetic fields are compressed in dust lanes, reducing their peak density. Magnetic stress removes further angular momentum of the gas at the shocks and leads to a smaller and more centrally distributed ring, resulting in the mass inflow rates larger, by more than two orders of magnitude, than in the unmagnetized counterparts. Outside the outermost x1-orbit, on the other hand, an MHD dynamo operates near the corotation and bar-end regions, efficiently amplifying magnetic fields. The amplified fields shape into trailing magnetic arms with strong fields and low density. The base of the magnetic arms have a thin layer in which magnetic fields with opposite polarity reconnect via a tearing-mode instability. This produces numerous magnetic islands with large density which propagate along the arms to turn the outer disk into a highly chaotic state.

  • This study aimed to understand the effects of transporting ice slurry Particles through Pipes with branches. The experimental apparatus was constructed as ice slurry mixing tank. vortex pump, manometers for differential pressure measuring. IPF(ice packing factor) measuring instruments and branches as test sections. The experiments were carried out under various conditions. with concentration of water solution ranging between 0∼20wt% and velocity of water solution at the entry ranging between 1.5∼2.5m/s. The differential Pressure and IPF between the pipe entry and exit were measured. and flowing form was checked throughout the experiment. The pressure loss in 3d branches appeared compared with 6d branches so that it was very high. In the pressure loss of the inside and outside of branches. 6d branches was showed the difference. but was agreed in 3d branches The pressure loss according to concentration of water solution, low value appeared at 10wt% in 6d branches, at 20wt% in 3d branches. The pressure loss according to velocity, did not show large difference. The change of IPF at outlet, appeared +15∼-25% in 6d branches and 0∼-20% in 3d branches. The difference of IPF at the inside and outside of branches. appeared 10∼15% in 6d branches and maximum 5% in 3d branches.

  • Conventional atom model must be criticized on the following four points. (1) Natural motions between positive and negative entities are not circular motions but linear going and returning ones, for examples sexual motion, tidal motion, day and night etc. (2) Potential energy generation was neglected when electron changes its orbit from outer one to inner one. The hv is the Kinetic energy of the photo-electron. The total energy difference between orbits comprises kinetic and potential energies. (3) The structure of the space must be taken into consideration because the properties of the electron do not change during the transition form outer orbit to inner one even though it produces photon. (4) Total energy conservation law applies to the energy flow between mind and matter because we daily experiences a interconnection between mind and body. New atomic model (the crystallizing $\pi$-bonding) was proposed in the journal of material processing technology since 1997 for the explanation of the mechanical behaviors in terms of physics. $\prod$-ray physics proved that the electrons can come out from in the nucleus and modern chemistry corresponds to the $\pi$-bonding by the nuclear electrons. The $\pi$-bonding structure of the protons outside the nucleus is that electrons move between protons of the different atoms. The perception step and the characteristic frequency in signal transduction is due to the accumulation of the $\pi$-rays outside fo the proton before their absorption to the nucleus.

  • A vertical closed loop ground source heat pump (GSHP) is used to produce heat from the low-grade energy source such as the outside air and ground source. It is known that a heat pump system type has better efficiency comparing to the electric heating system. This study only demonstrates that the vertical closed loop GSHP system is a feasible choice for space cooling of air conditioning. The coefficient of performance (COP) is the ratio of heat output to work supplied to the system in the form of electricity. For the vertical closed loop GSHP system in a cooling mode, the COP is the most commonly used way for judging the efficiency. For the purpose of this experiment, vertical closed loop GSHP system was installed in the laboratory and the experiment was executed. As a result, an average COP of vertical-closed loop GSHP system was 3.62 when the outside average temperature was $33^{\circ}C$.

  • Civil college is a public educational institute for theoretical and practical learning. This study examines the social context behind France's civil college and how it is being operated. Many studies have been conducted in Korea to examine Germany in terms of lifelong learning or adult learning, but there is almost no study on France. Therefore, this study was conducted to analyze the history and operation of civil college, the "college outside college," in France and what Korea should learn from it. The civil college of France can be discussed in two contexts: first, it is AUPF, which stands for the French association of civil colleges, and it was mostly influenced by Northern Europe and Germany. Second, it is Caen Civil College, which was established by M. Onfray based his philosophical collaboration. The European civil college opened almost 1,000 courses in 2010-2011 for a variety of subjects, including Foreign Languages, Mother Tongue, the Dialects of Alsace, Philosophy, Cosmology, History, Art History, Psychology, Sociology, Astronomy, Botany, and Natural Science. Courses in Fine Arts include drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, music, and theater. For another form of civil college, Philosopher M. Onfray has been operating Caen Civil College since 2002 for general education and cultural education. It is not acknowledged by conventional philosophers, but it is contributing to the popularization of philosophy. In conclusion, the civil college in France has brought in-depth philosophical discussions out of the lecture rooms in an effort to popularize learning, making lifelong learning more accessible to the general public.

  • This paper aims to interpret the transformation process of town plan of Gosan-up(高山), which was provincial administrative focus town in Josun dynasty, basing on morphological viewpoint. Morphological concepts, such as morphological frame, urban plan, kernel, colonization, route system, fixation line, fringe belt, plan unit & plan division, morphological period derived from the study of Conzen, M.R.G. and Caniggia, G. epidome district, break point, broken plot, urban fallow, privatization are adopted for the interpretation of urban form. Morphological period of Gosan can be divided in four ; formation of kernel & morphological structure, disintegration & redevelopment of the kernel, augmentative development of the kernel & formation of modern epidome district, outwards expanding of urbanized area, transition & reorganization of epidome district. Especially public leading projects such as construction of new regional connection road and public facilities such as myeon(township) office, agricultural cooperatives federation office, market, are main factors of morphological transformation of townplan. In the early stage, under the Japanese imperialism, construction of the new matrix route(Gosan-ro) through the kernel and followed planned routes gave way to disintegrating traditional areal plan unit and forming small block plan units in administrative facilities area. And linear plan units with commercial buildings were formed along the new matrix route and planned route adjacent to periodical market. In the latter stage, with development of public facilities, private sectors' large circulation institution and terminal outside the kernel with planned routes formed areal block based plan units with commercial and public buildings. And part of the spatial area with the linear plan unit were turned into urban fallow. With the transformation of town plan, new roads outside the kernel have substituted for traditional fixation line of waterway with road and topographical feature. Fringe belts were made successively along the new road and around the major intersections outside of existing urbanized area. Land use in fringe belts, constituting of outer locational tendency early on formation, was gradually replaced with commercial & business buildings.

  • Primitive men's primordial formative activity derives from incarnation contained in intensive vitality and strong creativity mind. The trend of modern fashion requiring the boundless imagination can be called that it, just, itself, has something in common with basic spiritual activity that primitive men had. What is concerning how modern fashion designers have developed formative language through enchanting primitive art is as follows. 1. The nature's mysterious power appears to be transformed into personified image. The incarnation for acquiring beauty, power, prestige of genius appears in the form of personification, making use of mask in modern fashion. 2. As for primitive men, the whole universe has a potentiality as a symbol. The symbolism of primitive art based on religion and myth appears in modern art as the form of presenting oppositional objects together in one space. 3. Primitive art is the purest form and the most unpolluted. This shows the natural quality being assimilated into nature, which is expressed in modern fashion as intensity, free-spirit, simplicity, etc. 4. The primitive men's anxiety to the outside world appears as impulse. The geometrical form of primitive art occurred in the shape of impulse appears in expressional form of modern fashion. 5. The real existence in primitive art inducing real materials and objects, in themselves, into formative world appears in modern art in the way of expression such as repetition, enlargement, exact reproduction.

  • It was early in the $20^{th}$ century when the space was begun to say through the mutual circumstances of form and contents. Adrian Forty explained that the characteristics of space can be divided into three steps by the period: a space of enclosure, a space as continuum and a space as an extension of the body. And there is common condition that all three spaces are accompanied by the form. In the new thinking of architectural form in terms of text in modern society, architecture becomes to more complex to understanding. Saying that there is nothing outside text (Il n'y a rien en dehors du text.) in the world, Jacques Derrida insisted the world to be texted and not to be special centrality, where can be existed by difference and delay its meaning. Text is the structural meaning (sign), not a metaphorical one (symbol). Without the symbol, the architecture can be recognized as text with signing to the form. For that, there is a question how can be explained the space in terms of text extracting the meaning and the symbol. Absolutely not intended by Mies van der Rohe, but in his works of houses and pavilion, its characteristics and traces of text can be seen. If it is possible to analyse his works in the textual view, space of Mies will be found in the same direction of text. And it will be an important opportunity to re-evaluate the space of Mies works standing in the heart of Modern Architecture.
