자연광 노출 후 결정질 실리콘 PV모듈의 광학적 특성 변화 (Changes in Optical Properties of Crystalline-Si PV Modules after Natural Light Exposure)

  • This paper presents the results of changes of optical properties of front materials in crystalline PV modules. If PV modules on the outdoor, transmittance of front materials is reduced by solar light. That is UV, IR included Solar spectrum will have change the properties of glass. Therefore decrease in transmittance leads to loss of the PV modules output. All the PV modules showed the loss in Isc by 1~5% within few hors. To investigate the changes we are analyzed using spectrophotometer from raw glass to laminated glass.

화면 제공에 따른 주관적 반응의 차이 - 레저용 사격 소음을 중심으로 - (Difference of subjective response between with and without pictures - Focusing on the leisure shooting noise -)

  • This research presents a laboratory study about difference of subjective response between with and without pictures. A main source is impulsive sound caused by leisure shooting. The sources are sampled from outdoor noise and their levels range from 40 to 75 dB at the interval of 5dB. The noise unit is based on A-weighted sound exposure level (ASEL; $L_{AE}$). To make equal ASEL of outdoor noise, finite impulse response (FIR) filter is applied to the originally sampled source to include the effect of distance attenuation. The evaluation method of the jury test adopted a Semantic Difference(SD) Method. The intersection point which two lines crossed was used as reference point. The intersecting point of mean response rating between with and without pictures was approximately 44ASEL and that of %HA was about 60ASEL. In the result of the test, the negative effect of pictures was given at a lower levels than intersection point while the positive effect was given at a higher levels than that.

산성(酸性) 조건하(條件下)에서 Sitka spruce의 기상(氣象) 열화(劣化) 가속(加速)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (Study of the Accelerated Weathering of Sitka spruce under Acidic Conditions)

  • Weathering of wood in a region of acid rain was performed by the test which thin veneers of Sitka spruce were exposed to outdoor weathering for a total of 18 weeks, with a daily soaking for 30 minutes in acidified water in the pH range 2~5.6. The weathering measured by weight loss and loss in maximum failure load in tension was accelerated by the increase in the acidity of acidified water and in the period of outdoor exposure. It was also shown that the weathering was accelerated even with low acidic conditions in the case of long exposure period, although the weathering was rapidly accelerated with high acidic conditions. When compared the degree of weight loss with that of loss in failure load by weathering, the latter was much greater. From the results of this research, it could be concluded that at pH 4.0 or below of precipitation, the acceleration of weathering of exterior wood would become serious problems, which would be caused deterioration in performance of exterior wood.

  • Generally, atmospheric corrosion is the electrochemical degradation of metal that can be caused by various corrosion factors of atmospheric components and weather, as well as air pollutants. Specifically, moisture and particles of sea salt and sulfur dioxide are major factors in atmospheric corrosion. Using galvanized steel is one of the most efficient ways to protect iron from corrosion by zinc plating on the surface of the iron. Galvanized steel is widely used in automobiles, building structures, roofing, and other industrial structures due to their high corrosion resistance relative to iron. The atmospheric corrosion of galvanized steel shows complex corrosion behavior, depending on the plating, coating thickness, atmospheric environment, and air pollutants. In addition, corrosion products are produced in different types of environments. The lifespans of galvanized steels may vary depending on the use environment. Therefore, this study investigated the corrosion behavior of galvannealed steel under atmospheric corrosion in two locations in Korea, and the lifespan prediction of galvannealed steel in rural and coastal environments was conducted by means of the potentiostatic dissolution test and the chemical cyclic corrosion test.

음식점 비흡연 종업원의 간접흡연 노출량 지표로써 이산화질소 이용 (Use of Nitrogen Dioxide as Exposure Marker of Passive Smiking for Non-smoking Service-workers at Restaurants)

  • There is increasing evidence suggestion that passive smoking increases the risk of lung cancer and other disease, though the potential health effects of exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) is a controversial subject. Since smoking in restaurant is prevalent in Korea, the concern on passive smoking exposure of non-smoking service-workers has been requested. ETS exposure of non-smoking service-workers at restaurant was assessed because they hare spent their times in restaurant indoors. The purpose of this study was feasibility of nitrogen dioxide($NO_2$) as exposure marker of ETS. The results of the study were as follows; 1. Average $NO_2$ concentrations in indoor and outdoor t restaurants were 57.1ppb(${\pm}12.4$) and 54.29ppb(${\pm}9.54$), respectively. Comparing office-workers, service-workers at restaurants were exposured highly. 2. The personal $NO_2$ measurement as exposure marker of ETS could cause the exposure error because $NO_2$ can be generated by combustion appliances in indoor. 3. Service-workers spent their most time(86.6%) in indoor. Mean time spent at restaurant indoors and at home was 9.4 hours and 10.9 hours, respectively. 4. Personal $NO_2$ levels correlated with indoor $NO_2$ concentrations of restaurant (r=0.70) and of their home (r=0.52) rather than of outdoor $NO_2$ concentration of restaurant (r=0.35). The cause of personal $NO_2$ exposure of non-smoking service-workers were considered as smoking of guests and combustion appliance indoors. 5. personal $NO_2$ exposures were estimated using Monte-Carlo simulation and time-weighted model. Estimated personal $NO_2$ level was 47.25ppb(${\pm}8.3$).

해양 폭로 환경에 따른 GGBFS 콘크리트의 겉보기 염화물 확산계수 비교 (The Comparison of Apparent Chloride Diffusion Coefficients in GGBFS Concrete Considering Sea Water Exposure Conditions)

  • 본 연구에서는 해양 폭로 조건과 배합 사항을 고려하여 GGBFS 콘크리트의 시간의존적 염화물 확산 거동을 분석하였다. 사용 콘크리트 배합은 3 수준의 물-결합재 비 및 고로슬래그 미분말 치환률을 고려한 콘크리트 배합이며 노출 조건으로는 침지대, 간만대, 비말대 총 3 수준을 고려하여 옥외 폭로 시험을 수행하였다. 겉보기 염화물 확산계수 평가 결과, 고로슬래그 미분말의 치환률이 증가할수록 노출 기간 730일(2년)을 기준으로 평가한 확산계수의 감소율이 감소하였다. 또한 노출 조건에 따른 확산거동을 평가한 결과, 침지대, 간만대, 비말대 순으로 확산계수가 평가되었다. 비말대에서는 해수의 건습 반복으로 인해 비교적 높은 확산계수가 평가되었다. 본 연구에서는 고로슬래그 미분말 치환률이 겉보기 염화물 확산계수 감소 거동에 미치는 영향을 노출 조건 및 기간을 고려하여 분석하였다. 확산계수를 출력 값으로, 고로슬래그를 입력 값으로 설정한 선형 회귀분석을 수행하였으며, 노출 기간 730일 이후 고로슬래그 미분말이 확산계수에 미치는 영향이 크게 감소하였다. OPC 콘크리트라 할지라도 730일 이후 GGBFS 콘크리트 만큼 낮은 확산계수를 나타냈기 때문이며 고로슬래그 미분말의 사용을 통해 730일 이전에 뛰어난 초기 염해 내구성능 확보가 가능하다고 사료된다.

지리정보시스템(GIS) 및 존재인구를 이용한 초미세먼지(PM2.5) 노출평가 (Existing Population Exposure Assessment Using PM2.5 Concentration and the Geographic Information System)

  • Background: The concentration of air pollutants as measured by the Air Quality Monitoring System (AQMS) is not an accurate population exposure level since actual human activities and temporal and spatial variability need to be considered. Therefore, to increase the accuracy of exposure assessment, the population should be considered. However, it is difficult to obtain population data due to limitations such as personal information. Objectives: The existing population defined in this study is the number of people in each region's grid. The purpose is to provide a methodology for evaluating exposure to PM2.5 through existing population data provided by the National Geographic Information Institute. Methods: The selected study period was from October 26 to October 28, 2021. Using PM2.5 concentration data measured at the Sensor-based Air Monitoring Station (SAMS) installed in Guro-gu and Wonju-si, the concentration for each grid was estimated by applying inverse distance weights through QGIS version 3.22. Considering the existing population, population-weighted average concentration (PWAC) was calculated and the exposure level of the population was compared by region. Results: The outdoor PM2.5 concentration as measured through the SAMS was high in Wonju-si on all three days. Wonju-si showed an average 22% higher PWAC than Guro-gu. As a result of comparing the PWAC and outdoor PM2.5 concentration by region, the PWAC in Guro-gu was 1~2% higher than the observed value, but it was almost the same. Conversely, observations of Wonju-si were 10.1%, 11.3%, and 8.2% higher than PWAC. Conclusions: It is expected that the Geographic Information System (GIS) method and the existing population will be used to evaluate the exposure level of a population with a narrow activity radius in further research. In addition, based on this study, it is judged that research on exposure to environmental pollutants and risk assessment methods should be expanded.

내재해형 옥외광고물 설계를 위한 표준하중 산정 (Estimation of Standard Load for Disaster-Resistant Design of Outdoor Signboards)

  • 최근 강풍으로 인한 옥외광고물의 파손 및 추락으로 인해 불특정 다수에게 인적 및 물적 피해를 야기하고 있다. 옥외광고물은 사유시설과 공공시설물의 성격을 모두 갖기 때문에 옥외광물로 인한 피해를 저감하는 것은 개인의 노력뿐 아니라 제도 및 규정을 통해서도 이루어져야한다. 이러한 피해는 강풍에 취약한 옥외광고물의 내풍설계 기준의 미비가 가장 큰 요인으로 인식되고 있어 본 연구에서는 옥외광고물의 내풍설계 표준을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 풍속에 영향을 주는 옥외광고물 설치위치의 주변 풍환경이나 높이, 설치위치 등 풍속과 관련한 요소를 반영하였으며, 건축구조기준 2015(안)의 기본풍속도와 풍속보정 절차에 의한 풍하중 산정 과정을 제시하였다. 이 과정에서 공학적 판단이 요구되는 옥외광고물 설치위치 주변의 지표 조도구분 및 지형계수 평가에 대해 정략적으로 적용할 수 있는 기준을 제시하였다. 또한 비전문가 관점에서 적용하기 용이하도록 가능한 단순화된 정량화 절차를 제시하였다.

교착제 종류에 따른 단청의 도막 성능 (Effect of Vehicle Resin on Coating Performance of Dan-Chung)

  • 교착제의 종류가 단청의 도막성능에 미치는 효과를 구명하고자, 전통적으로 사용되어 온 녹말풀과 아교, 그리고 최근에 사용되기 시작한 수성아크릴수지 에멀젼에 대하여 검토하였다. 촉진열화시험과 옥외폭로시험을 실시한 후 색상의 변화와 도막 박리 특성 및 도막부착력을 조사한 결과, 수성아크릴수지 에멀젼을 교착제로 사용한 단청은 촉진열화시험과 옥외폭로시험에서도 전혀 도막박리가 발생하지 않았으며, 수성아크릴수지 에멀젼이 매우 우수한 도막성능을 부여하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 자외선에 의한 단청의 색상변화는 수성아크릴수지 에멀젼을 교착제로 사용한 경우 가장 적었으며, 아교를 교착제로 사용한 경우 가장 컸다. 아교밑칠은 아교를 교착제로 사용할 경우에는 단청 도막의 부착력을 크게 향상시키지만, 수성아크릴수지 에멀젼을 교착제로 사용할 경우에는 오히려 도막부착력을 저하시켰다.

Effects of sun exposure and dietary vitamin D intake on serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D status in hemodialysis patients

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Vitamin D deficiency is common in hemodialysis patients. The aim of this study was to identify whether or not sun exposure and dietary vitamin D intake have effects on serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) status in hemodialysis (HD) patients. The objective was to identify the main determinants of serum vitamin D status in the study subjects. SUBJECTS/METHODS: A cross-sectional study of 47 HD patients (19 males and 28 females) was performed. We assessed serum 25(OH)D and $1,25(OH)_2D$ levels between August and September 2012 and analyzed the prevalence of vitamin D deficiency in HD patients. To evaluate the determinants of serum 25(OH)D levels, we surveyed dietary vitamin D intake, degree of sun exposure, and outdoor activities. To compare biological variables, serum 25(OH)D was stratified as below 15 ng/ml or above 15 ng/ml. RESULTS: Mean 25(OH)D and $1,25(OH)_2D$ levels were $13.5{\pm}5.8ng/ml$ and $20.6{\pm}11.8pg/ml$, respectively. The proportions of serum 25(OH)D deficiency (< 15 ng/ml), insufficiency (15-< 30 ng/ml), and sufficiency (${\geq}30ng/ml$) in subjects were 72.4%, 23.4%, and 4.3%, respectively. Prevalence of vitamin D deficiency in female patients was 78.6%, whereas that in males was 63.2% (P = 0.046). Vitamin D intake and sun exposure time were not significantly different between the two stratified serum 25(OH)D levels. Dietary intake of vitamin D did not contribute to increased serum 25(OH)D levels in HD patients. The main effective factors affecting serum 25(OH)D status were found to be the sun exposure and active outdoor exercise. CONCLUSIONS: Hypovitaminosis D is common in HD patients and is higher in females than in males. Sun exposure is the most important determinant of serum 25(OH)D status in HD patients.
