The Effect on a Delivery Time Window Dispatching Policy for 3PL Distribution Center (제3자 물류센터 납품시간창 디스패칭 정책에 관한 효과)

  • This paper considers an inbound ordering and outbound dispatching problem for multi-products and multi-vehicles in a third-party distribution center. The demands are dynamic over a discrete and finite time horizon, and replenishing orders are shipped in various transportation modes and the freight cost is proportional to the number of vehicles used. Any mixture of products is loaded onto any type of vehicles. The objective of the study is to simultaneously determine the inbound lot-sizes, the outbound dispatching sizes, and the types and numbers of vehicles used to minimize total costs, which consist of inventory holding cost and freight cost. Delivery time window is one of the general dispatching policies between a third-party distribution center and customers in practice. In the policy, each demand of product for a customer must be delivered within the time window without penalty cost. We derive mixed integer programming models for the dispatching policy with delivery time windows and on-time delivery dispatching policy, respectively and analyze the effect on a dispatching policy with delivery time windows by comparing with on-time delivery dispatching policy using various computational experiments.

A Research on the Relationship between Duty Free' Locations and Sales of its Product Attributes at Airport : a Case of Departure and On-Arrival Duty Free at Incheon International Airport (공항 면세점 위치와 판매품목별 매출액 간 관계성 연구: 인천국제공항 출국장 및 입국장 면세점 사례를 중심으로)

  • On-arrival duty free will prevent Korean outbound passengers from keeping the duty free items they purchased at the departure during their travel. Most Korean tourists have requested the airport authority to install on-arrival duty free since the grand-opening of Incheon int'l airport. Considering the fierce hub airport competition in the North East Asian region, the Korean government's decision to install on-arrival duty free is regarded as a well-timed intervention. The purpose of the research was to analyze sales correlation based on a comparison of sales of both departure and on-arrival duty free and to propose an administrative implication. Compared to business conglomerates running departure duty free, on-arrival duty free operators, who are small or medium companies, have weakness in product composition, marketing, and merchandising capabilities. According to the analysis, outbound passengers, who purchased fashion accessories and leather products at the departure duty free, tended to purchase cosmetics/perfume or liquor on the arrival duty free. Such complementary purchasing behavior of passengers showed there is barely a negative correlation between departure and on-arrival duty free.

  • This study is for analyzing the mgmt performances of Korean tourism firms, operating as preparing strategically against FTA, one of the most importantly external environment in int'l mgmt since in the mid of 1990s. The main purpose can be mentioned to test empirically some relations between the mgmt performances of Korean tourism ones and the economic effects originated from FTA. The dependent variables of mgmt performances are classified with sales, profits and mgmt satisfaction, while the independent one regarding with economic effects from FTA are sorted based on the previous studies with the 2 following factors like direct with inbound/outbound and indirect effects. This study is conducted in two stages. Firstly, the research model is designed by the reviewing relevant theories and previous studies. Secondly, the survey of Korean tourism firms engaging in mgmt activities is implemented by collecting questionnaires. And for testing the hypothesis, the analyzing tools are used for correlation, reliability, validity and multi-regression on SPSS 12.0 and the path analysis of structural equation modeling is activated with AMOS 11.0.

  • Under a VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) system, the vendor holds a certain level of control over not only inbound replenishment decisions on stocking but also outbound re-supply decisions. In this situation, vendor faces a better opportunity to synchronize the inventory and transportation decisions. However, shipment consolidation can reduce transportation expenses, but delivery time about the customer comes to be long and a customer service is fallen. Thus, a stock and transportation decision must consider this correlation. This study look into the relevant literature and suggest about further research direction.

  • 아웃바운드(Outbound) 형 콜 센터는 서비스 지향의 인바운드(Inbound) 형 콜 센터와는 달리 전화를 거는 주체가 고객에게 접촉하고자 하는 목적을 뚜렷하게 가진 상태에서 제품 또는 서비스, 정보제공 등을 전화나 기타 커뮤니케이션 채널을 통해 전달하는 업무를 담담한다. 본 논문에서는 아웃바운드 형 콜 센터 시스템을 예측 다이얼링(Predictive Dial Ing) 방식에 기반하여 개선된 콜 전략을 제안한다 개선된 콜 전략은 콜 센터 업무의 중심 역할인 콜링 리스트(Call ing List)를 데이터 추출 모듈을 사용하여 테이블로 구성한 뒤, 시간 활용을 통한 효율적 대응과 다양한 고객들의 정보를 바탕으로 고객과의 접촉확률을 증가시킬 수 있다.

  • The purpose of ICT Healing platform is the prevention of chronic disease. It is intended to early warning of the disease through the information such as the bio-signals and lifestyle. In this paper, we provide a 2-Step open system(TOS) for personalized health data access. TOS is connected between the personal health related data providers and service providers of individuals ICT Healing platform, a software engine for relaying personalized health data. The proposed system, to operate in isolation to 2 step in personal health document repository Inbound module and Outbound module to provide an inquiry service to external organizations. Therefore, we propose a personalized editable Manifest concept for defining data exchange between Step. This can be used as a reference model to collect the personal health information is scattered in many health related service institutions (Hospitals, Fitness Centers, Health Examination Centers, Personal Health Device, etc.) and under private-led liberalization.

  • Lower Prices are offered through sales by telemarketing. This is to serve our customers by the fastest and most appropriate referral product that is most important to attract insurance. Therefore, Considering the time the customer's preferred products and preferred customer for screening and targeting, depending on what is the difference between the premiums. This study of the logistic regression model using datamining techniques, the life insurance companies in outbound telemarketing to support sales of the effect you want to validate. To join existing life insurance companies for the customer response and sales strategy based on the L segment and by age group, family-love insurance, accident insurance, and cancer insurance were in progress for the modeling. Set model based on the progress of the campaign to existing customers marketing methods and how to extract and run the model results has proven the superiority of the model. In addition, over time, depending on the aging model is set to a decline in operating profit to maximize the profits th update the model which was derived.

  • Recently, the expert call center solution has become the center of interest, since finance and tele-marketing system, which is focused on a communication industry, have been increasing, Specially, the call center market is growing up with a supporting Caller-ID for a cellular phone in Korea, In the present, although large size companies are developing expensive solutions and instruments to service only for the big companies, there little solutions for SOHO markets, Therefore, in this paper we have shown a design and an implementation of a CTI system which is capable of in/outbound call processing by using CTI, and providing stable services by linking the customer's DB. And these functionalities have become possible by integrating functions of PBX and the computer control of the PBX. First, we have constructed call flows and analyzed packets for the standard communication through the PBX in call. Then, we have designed and implemented a middleware which linked a call between a client and a customer. Finally, we have constructed a database module for applying the CRM technology to the management of customer's contents.

Genetic Algorithms for a Multi-product Dynamic Lot-sizing and Dispatching Problem with Delivery Time Windows and Multi-vehicle Types (납품시간창과 다종차량을 고려한 다종제품 동적로트크기결정 및 디스패칭 문제를 위한 유전 알고리즘)

  • This paper analyzes a multi-product inbound lot-sizing and outbound dispatching problem with multi-vehicle types in a third-party logistics distribution center. The product must be delivered to the customers within the delivery time window and backlogging is not allowed. Replenishing orders are shipped by several types of vehicles with two types of the freight costs, i.e., uniform and decreasing, are considered. The objective of this study is to determine the lot-size and dispatching schedules to minimize the total cost with the sum of inbound and outbound transportation and inventory costs over the entire time horizon. In this study, we mathematically derive a mixed-integer programming model and propose a genetic algorithm (GA1) based on a local search heuristic algorithm to solve large-scale problems. In addition, we suggest a new genetic algorithm (GA2) with an adjusting algorithm to improve the performance of GA1. The basic mechanism of the GA2 is to provide an unidirectional partial move of products to available containers in the previous period. Finally, we analyze the results of GA1 and GA2 by evaluate the relative performance using the gap between the objective values of CPLEX and the each algorithm.
