레이저 간섭계의 진직도 측정오차 보상 (Straightness Measurement Error Compensation of the Laser Interferometer)

  • HP Laser Interferometer Measurement System[HP5529A] is one of the most powerful equipment for measurement of the motion accuracy. The straightness measurement system of the HP5529A is composed of wollastone prism and reflector. In this system, straightness error is measured by relative lateral motion between prism and reflector. But rotating motion of prism or reflector as moving optic causes not real straightness error but additive straightness error. Especially unwanted straightness error as this becomes very large when reflector is used as moving optic and an interval between reflector and prism is distant. In this paper, the compensation method is proposed for removing additive error and experiment is carried out for theoretical verification.

  • The laser interferometer system such as HP5529A is one of the most powerful equipment fur measurement of the straightness error in precision stages. The straightness measurement system, HP5529A is composed of a Wollaston prism and a reflector. In this system, the straightness error is defined as relative lateral motion change between the prism and the reflector and computed from optical path difference of two polarized laser beams between these optics. However, rotating motion of the prism or the reflector used as a moving optic causes unwanted straightness error. In this paper, a compensation method is proposed for removing the unwanted straightness error generated by rotating the moving optic and an experiment is carried out for theoretical verification. The result shows that the unwanted straightness error becomes very large when the reflector is used as the moving optic and the distance between the reflector and the prism is far. Therefore, the prism must be generally used as the moving optic instead of the reflector so as to reduce the measurement error. Nevertheless, the measurement error must be compensated because it's not a negligible error if a rotating angle of the prism is large. In case the reflector must be used as the moving optic, which is unavoidable when the squareness error is measured between two axes, this compensation method can be applied and produces a better result.

서브미크론 진직도 측정장치 개발 (Development of a Submicron Order Straightness Measuring Device)

  • For measuring out the submicron order straightness, a precision measuring device is developed in this paper. The device is constructed with a hydrostatic feed table and a capacitive type sensor which is mounted to the feed table. Straightness is acquired as substracting the motion error of feed table from the measured profile with probe. Motion error of feed table is simultaneously compensated upto 0.120${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ of linear motion error and 0.20arcsec of angular motion error using the active controlled capillary. Reversal method and strai호t-edge is used fur estimating the measuring accuracy and from the experimental result, it is verified that the device has the measuring accuracy 0.030m. Also, through the practical application on the measurement of ground surface, it is confirmed that the device is very effective to measure the submicron order straightness.

혼합축차이점법을 이용한 진직도 정밀측정에 있어서 센서 게인오차의 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of the Sensor Gain Error in the Precision Measurement of Straightness Error Using Mixed Sequential Two-Probe Method)

  • In this study, effect of the sensor gain error is theoretically analyzed and simulated when mixed sequential two-prove method(MTPM) is applied for the precision measurement of straightness error of a linear motion table. According to the theoretical analysis, difference of the gain errors between two displacement sensors increases measurement error dramatically and alignment error of the straightedge is also amplified by the sensor gain difference. On the other hand, if the gain errors of the two sensors are identical, most of error terms are cancelled out and the alignment error doesn't give any influence on the measurement error. Also the measurement error of the straightness error is minimized compared with that of the straightedge's form error owing to close relationship between straightness error and angular motion error of the table in the error terms.

스프링백 관측기를 이용한 축교정기 개발 (Development of Shaft Straightening Machine with Springback Observer)

  • In order to compensate for out-of-straightness of shafts, an automatic straightening process composed of an automatic measuring module, an automatic control unit and operating softwares was developed with a hydraulic press. The out-of-sraightness of each shaft was measured automatically in the measuring stage. An optimal pressure point was determined to minimize TIR value of the shaft according to press count of 3-points bending process. In the geometric adaptive control procedure, punch stroke and springback of the shaft were predicted by an observer using on-line measured values of press force and deflection amount I each press count. An automatic straightening machine was realized with the measuring module, the GAC module, PLD, IBM-PC and the operating software on the hydraulic press. the validity of the proposed straightening process was confirmed through a series of experiments with cam shafts.

테일러드블랭크 용접을 위한 전단 공정 연구 (A Study on Mechanical Shearing Process for Tailored Blank Welding)

  • Weld bead quality in tailored blank(TB) is critically affected by edge preparation of sheets. The edge quality of prepared sheets for TB can be classified into straightness and the cross section quality of sheared plane such as a ratio of shear face, shear plane angle, etc. In order to have a good edg quality for butt-welding sheets, precision shearing will be recommended. In this paper, the feasibility of a conventional mechanical shearing as the edge preparation for tailored blanks is studyied. It reveals that fine shearing may not be the unique solution as it is generally accepted. To obtain the good shearing condition with a conventional mechanical shearing, experiments were carried out using Tahuchi method. The major parameters affecting a sheared contour are the clearance between upper blade and lower blade, and shear angle. The optimal shearing condition yields a very good straightness along the entire length of the cut, which gives a butt joint gap less than 10% of the base material thickness. The good cross section of sheared plane is also achieved in the optimal shearing condition such as a ratio of the shear face above 65%, a cross section's shear plane angle above 85%, little burr, which is providing finally good weld beads.

  • As the run out error and misalignment of ball screw connected directly to guide table largely affect the motion accuracy of guideway, floating coupling that releases the table from screw nut except feed and rotational direction is needed todecrease its influences. The purpose of this study is to propose a practical model floating coupling of ball serew for high precision feeding system. The straightness, dynanic characteristics and micro step response of hydrostatic guideway, mounted with three types of coupling fixed type, leaf spring type and hydrostatic type, are tested and compared. From the resuts of experiments, it is proved that a hydrostatic type floating coupling is superior to other couplings and is available to high precision feeding system with ball screw.

  • 본 연구에서는 현장에서 흔히 수행되는 가공 후(post-process) 측정만을 이용 한 단일절삭(single-pass)으로써 공작물이 원하는 일정한 직경을 유지할 수 있다는 것 을 실험을 통해 검증해 보이고자 한다. 이와 같은 방식은 이미 보오링 작업 중 보오 링바의 노출 길이 변화에 따른 가공면의 내경 오차를 없애주기 위한 방법으로써 제시 된 바 있다. 즉 반복 최소 자승법(recursive least squares)으로 미리 가정된 절삭 조건과 공작물 처짐 사이의 관계식과 관련된 계수를 가공 후에 가공 공작물의 표면 측 정으로 매 번보정(update)시켜 줌으로써 일정 직경을 얻기위한 절삭조건을 결정하고자 한다.

  • A roller straightening process is a metal forming technique to improve the geometric quality of products such as straightness and flatness. The geometrical quality can be enhanced by eliminating unnecessary deformations produced during upstream manufacturing processes and minimizing any detrimental internal stress during the roller straightening process. The quality of steel cords can be achieved by the roller straightening depends the process parameters. Such process parameters are the roll intermesh, the roll pitch, the diameter of rolls, the number of rolls and the applied tension. This paper is concerned with the design optimization of the roller straightening process for steel cords with the aid of elasto-plastic finite element analysis. Effects of the process parameters on the straightness of the steel cord are investigated by the finite element analysis. Based on the analysis results, the optimization of the roller straightening process is performed by the response surface method. The roller straightening process using optimum design parameters is carried out in order to confirm the quality of the final products.
