A 'Resource recycling society' is the common goal to reduce environmental impact from human activities and to conserve natural resources. The Resource-Recycling Waste Management is necessary to explicitly show objectives, and to evaluate the achievement level gained by school administration. In this paper, focusing on resource-recycling school waste management, three indicators are designed to evaluate the present conditions of school waste management, which include evaluation of school policy, waste management and education for waste management by school administration. Each indicator is made up of three or four questions that are supposed to be answered by school managers, teachers and students. Questionnaire surveys, which is based on the resource-recycling school waste management indicators, were carried out in elementary school, middle school and high school in the National Capital region. The resulting of indicators well describe the situation of school waste management among these schools. Influential strategies towards resource-recycling school waste management have been found in analysis.
This study was carried out through questionnaire in order to investigate the self-recognized monosodium glutamate (MSG) symptom complex in the eating out of housewives. The subjects were 503 housewives in Inchon and the results are summarized as follows. As for age, 51.9% of subjects were over 40 years old. Also 60.0% of the subjects received a high school education. As for occupation, full-time housewives accounted for 63.7%. Monthly household income of most subjects were 1 million won or more, and monthly food expenses for most subjects were over 300 thousand won or more. Also 71.0% of the subjects lived in apartments. As for frequency of eating out, 69.5% of subjects ate out I~2 times a month, 21.6% did 3~4 times a month, 4.5% did 7 times or more/month and 3.6% did 5~6 times a month. The higher education level, family income or food expense of subjects were, the more they ate out. Most subjects selected the menu of eating out according to preference of family. Also 63.6% of the subjects considered the amount of MSG in eating out. As for menus containing high amount of MSG, 55.8% of subject answered Korean dishes, 31.1% did Chinese dishes. After eating out, 25.1% of subjects perceived MSG symptom complex, such as thirst, tiredness and rapid heart beat, etc. Therefore, it may be necessary to reduce the amount of MSG in eating out and to develop safe and delicious menus of eating out using various natural foods.
This study was carried out to examine the effects of school safety education on the safety behavior among elementary school students. Sixty-two 4th grade students were sampled from an elementary school in Pohang city and divided into one experimental group and one control group. The safety education has been provided to the experimental group for 4 weeks The data were collected before, just after, and 8 weeks after the education. In the pre-test, the general characteristics and safety behavior between two groups were measured. The experimental group was given school safety education twice a week for 4weeks. They also filled out the self behavior check list. In the post-test and follow up-test safety behavior was collected. The data analysis was done using $X^2$-test. t-test. Repeated measures ANOVA, analysis of simple main effect and time contrast methods, they were processed with an SPSS Win 9.0/pc. The results of this study are summarized as follows: 1) There were no differences between experimental group and control group on the general characteristics and safety behavior in the pre-test. 2) The hypothesis: 'The experimental group which was given school safety education will show higher scores on safety behavior than the control group which was not given this was supported(F=6.43 p=0.01). 3) The subhypothesis 1 : 'The scores on the indoor safety behavior of the experimental group which was given school safety education will show higher than those of the control group which were given this was supported(F=3.59 p=0.03). 4) The subhypothesis 2 : 'The scores on the outdoor safety behavior of the experimental group which was given, school safety education will show higher than those of the control group which was not given this was supported(F=5.70 p =0.00). In consequence, the experimental group which was given school safety education scored higher on safety behavior than the control group. Therefore, school safety education should continue to encourage safety behavior among elementary school students.
This article represents a survey on the Romanian mathematics education. we emphasize not only some of recent, specific and significant Romanian methods concerning the teaching and learning of mathematics, starting from the pre-school and primary level to the university mathematics education, but also the role of the national and international mathematical competitions, the education of mathematics teacher, the formation of the researchers in mathematics, their contributions and perspectives, the mathematics education in society and culture, the technology in mathematics education, links between research and practice, topical developments and for the future and other related topics.
Objectives: This study examined ways to promote desirable eating habits by choosing foods with low sugar contents and provide nutrition education in adolescents. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional survey. The sugar reduction perception and knowledge, sugary food preference, and intake frequency of 487 male and female high school students in Incheon were analyzed comparatively. Results: Approximately 94.9% and 94.5% of the subjects were unaware of the promotion of a sugar reduction policy and the sugar reduction in the basic guidelines for school meals, respectively. Approximately 95% of them had not received any sugar reduction nutrition education, and 90% were not interested in sugar reduction. The perception for sugar reduction was significantly higher in girls (3.43 out of 5 points) than in boys (3.16 out of 5 points) (P < 0.001). Knowledge about sugar was 3.65 out of 6 points in girls and 3.04 points in boys (P < 0.001). The preference and intake frequency for fruits of the total students were 4.24 out of 5 points and 2.56, respectively. For beverages, the preference was significantly higher in boys (3.97 points) than in girls (3.70 points) (P < 0.001), and the intake frequency was significantly higher in boys (2.26 points) than in girls (2.08 points) (P < 0.001). The preference for snacks was significantly higher for girls (4.19 points) than boys (4.02 points) (P < 0.01), and the intake frequency was 2.22 points in boys and 2.17 in girls, showing no significant difference. Sugar reduction perception and knowledge about sugar showed significant negative correlations with the snack intake frequency (r = -0.11, P < 0.05; -0.13, P < 0.05) after adjusting for gender, grade, and body mass index. Conclusions: The high school students' perception of sugar reduction was very low, and there was a significant correlation with sugary food intake, suggesting that the sugary food intake will decrease as the sugar reduction perception and knowledge about sugar increase.

We analyze the possibilities of using Information and Communication Technologies as a resource in the teaching/learning of Mathematics and we show the results of concrete experiments carried out with the games: "Adibu", "La ciudad perdida" and "Drood en el planeta siete", with fourteen students and two primary school teachers in a school in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Spain). Our analysis of the games is made within a global framework in which individual, cooperative and collaborative learning are considered, taking as reference the theoretical frameworks set out by Piaget, Vygotsky, and the principles of collaborative learning (Computer Supported Collaborative Learning).
The objectives of this study were to identify current problems and to propose alternatives of woodworking education in school. This study was carried out through the literature review. Even though woodworking in school has a lot of merits, it has not been fully established yet. Current problems in school woodworking were identified as the absence of educational philosophy of woodworking, unambiguous education objectives, incongruity of educational contents and hierarchy, inadequate quality of teachers, poor surroundings for practice, lack of ancillary materials for teaching and learning, and the absence of community for interchanging information. It was proposed that educational philosophy of woodworking and concrete education objectives should be set up, educational contents should be organized in a proper level, and surroundings for practice should be improved. And, it was also proposed that teacher education should be made to upgrade qualities of teachers, ancillary materials for teaching and learning should be developed, and community for interchanging information should be set up.

This study is to find out that pre-service elementary teacher's the effects of a ecology mentor club activities to the environmental sensitivity and the effects on the environment friendly attitude of elementary school students. This study has been aimed at 25 students of 5th grade in B metropolitan city S elementary school in 2015, B educational University of elementary pre-service teachers 10 people, Elementary School Teachers10 people to apply a ecology club mentor activities to investigate a comment participated in environmental mentor club activities of elementary pre-service teachers and the environmental sensitivity and the effects on the environment friendly attitude of elementary school students. Procedures for this research was the topic for setting ecology club mentor activities of elementary school students, pre-service elementary school teachers receive consultation from field teachers and guide to ecology club mentor activities of elementary school students. Before the ecology club mentor activities, pre-test environmental sensitivity and the environment-friendly attitude of were carried out. After the experiment, post-test of environmental sensitivity and environmental friendly attitude check was carried out. Also, investigate a comment of pre-service elementary teachers participate and guide to ecology club mentor activities of elementary school students. After the experiment results are as follows. First, the ecology club mentor activities of pre-service elementary school teachers are effective to cultivate environmental sensitivity of the elementary school students. Second, the ecology club mentor activities of pre-service elementary school teachers are effective to cultivate eco-friendly attitude of the elementary school students. Third, after ecology club mentor activities of elementary school students, pre-service elementary school teachers now have a very good feeling. Based on these results, suggestions for further research are as follows. First, the variety of ecological club programs target to elementary school students are needed. Second, there is a need for continuing research on the ecology club activities.
Purpose : This study was undertaken in order to find out the actual condition and barriers of health education in elementary school after introduction of 7th curriculum modification. Method: A questionaire was sent by mail on November 1, 2003, and received a total of 230 till November 30, 2003. Among them, 198 were included in fmal analysis. The collected data was analyzed through frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. Results : The results of this study were as follows: Among of the school health task, the most time spending task was emergency treatment and medication. The health education content which now being taught was sex education and prevention of drug abuse in the 6th grade, prevention of obesity in the 5th grade, emergency treatment, safety education in the 4th grade and prevention of disease of teeth in the 3rd grade. The most difficult problem in health education was pointed to no subject, no hour about health education by policy. Conclusion : It was necessary to formalize the health education subject, to ensure of health education hour by policy and to establish of extra health education room to improve health education at elementary school.

This study was planned to investigate the patterns and the effect of science journal writing on the science process skill and the scientific attitude of elementary school students. This study tried to show their perceptions about science journal writing in order to find out the value of science journal writing. For this purpose, one class of 6th graders in an elementary school was tested. The results from this research show as follows: Science journals are classified into 9 types according to content and form. Writings about curiosity are the most frequent. Science concepts are found in observational journal. Science journals are more effective in the development of the science process skills and scientific attitude. Students are revealed to be in positive aspects through the research about science journal. In conclusion, science journal writing should be emphasized in science education for elementary school students.
