Bending and free vibration analysis of FG sandwich beams using higher-order zigzag theory

  • In present work, bending and free vibration studies are carried out on different kinds of sandwich FGM beams using recently proposed (Chakrabarty et al. 2011) C-0 finite element (FE) based higher-order zigzag theory (HOZT). The material gradation is assumed along the thickness direction of the beam. Power-law, exponential-law, and sigmoidal laws (Garg et al 2021c) are used during the present study. Virtual work principle is used for bending solutions and Hamilton's principle is applied for carrying out free vibration analysis as done by Chalak et al. 2014. Stress distribution across the thickness of the beam is also studied in detail. It is observed that the behavior of an unsymmetric beam is different from what is exhibited by a symmetric one. Several new results are also reported which will be useful in future studies.

Effect on Brand Loyalty in Omni-Channel: Focus on Category Knowledge (옴니채널 상황에서 브랜드 충성도에 관한 연구: 카테고리 지식 조절변수)

  • Purpose - The ICT development is affecting the consumer behaviors in selecting channel or distribution system. This study aims to advance the theory on the influence and interaction with omni-channel behaviors. Specifically, analyzing moderating variable is category knowledge that effect between propensity of brand loyalty and its precedence factor which is perceived difference, perceived value, authenticity and consumer-brand relationship. Research design, data, and methodology - The subject of this research is consumers who purchase goods in omni-channel situation. The hypothesis of this research is derived from the literature of the preceding research analysis on brand loyalty, omni-channel and consumer behaviors. This study have constructs that were defined operationally with reference to previous studies, and the research model was designed to figure out the structural relationship among perceived difference, perceived value, authenticity, consumer-brand relationship and brand loyalty. From 2016 Sept. 1 to Dec. 31, a questionnaire survey was performed targeting customers using omni-channel. 327 questionnaire survey had conducted. 316 survey data were used for empirical analysis except data that had missing and wrong value. AMOS(structural equation) was used to confirm the hypothesis which developed by researcher. Results - The results of this study are as follows. First, an authenticity has significant effect on brand loyalty. Second, in the omni-channel situation, but perceived differentiation, perceived value, consumer-brand relationship does not affect brand loyalty. According to this result, it is judged that it is easy to search for information in the situation of omni-channel and integrated decision making is done without distinction between channels. Third, category knowledge has moderating effect between brand loyalty and precedence factors. When the category knowledge level is low, preceding factors have a significant effect on brand loyalty. when the category knowledge level is high, the preceding factors did not have a significant effect on brand loyalty except the authenticity. Conclusions - This study finds out omni-channel's phenomenon is different from other distribution channel phenomenon. In the situation of omni-channel, it is suggested that brand loyalty may be relatively low for a certain brand because it raises the knowledge level of the category. Then this study provides a managerial implications based on the role of the moderate effect on category knowledge, brand loyalty and omni-channel.

  • The new concept of dry area formation based on Poisson distribution of active nucleation sites and the concept of the critical active site density is presented. A simple statistical model is developed to predict the change of slope of the boiling curve up to critical heat flux (CHF) quantitatively. The predictions by the present model are in good agreement with the experimental data. Also it turns out that the present model well explains the mechanism on how the surface wettability influences CHF.

  • Properties of Precursor pitch derived from petroleum residue were studied physical and chemical analysis method for investigation of production of pitch fiber. For preparing of those precursor pitches it was carried out a temperature and time variation experiment i reactor. It was demonstrated the precursor pitch prepared in this study to have a similar properties to Ashland precursor pitch capable of bulk mesophase formation from the results of the basic analysis, that is, molecular weight distribution, coking yield, carbon content, chemical composition, etc.

  • The comparison of two or more Lorenz curves of Pareto distributions of first kind under arbitrary order restriction is studied. The problem is turned out to be a statistical inference problem concerning scale parameters under order restriction. We assume that the location parameters of Palate distributions are completely unknown. In this paper the maximum likelihood estimation and likelihood ratio tests for and against order restriction are proposed.

  • A single free jet formed by the interaction of two curved wall jets on a Cylinder surface is defined as "the Coanda nozzle jet" in this study.   • The semantic and pragmatic effect of inerrogative illocutionary operator is analyzed in a dynamic setting in the framework of structured meaning representation with respect to the dialogue participants' shared common ground. I propose a framework for an optinal interpretation of focus phrases in terrogatives share the essential properties of focus in general, namely that they introduce alternatives to be taken advantage of by relevant focus-sensitive operators. The theory makes an interesting prediction on the distribution and interpretation of double questions in which one question gets modified by another. A further extention of the theory is spelled out to account for other non-assertional illocutionary operators like imperatives and their foci.

  • A novel electroplating process is described and effects of anode lay-out thickness distribution and on platiting rate are discussed. Microphotograhic analysis indicates are compact and less "POROUS " than of barrel and rack. With this process production cost reduction and capacity increase could be achieved by a rate of 60% and 97% respectively, as compared to our present barrel plating process. This process disclose a number of beneficial processes such as color coding system on TO-92 package and development of a new tin bath formula.

  • To realize the development of HTS power apparatus, various breakdown test of L$N_2$ should be carried out and the mechanism should be understood more. Moreover the dielectric design technology that the basic dielectric experimental data applied to the HTS power system should be developed. In this paper, the electric fields for the insulation design were calculated for example with the analysis of Weibull distribution. And V-t characteristics of L$N_2$ were discussed. Around the breakdown voltage the n values were less than 1.
